Some of the doctors are great. Front desk is incompetent. I got a membership over 6 months ago. I try to use it as often as I can. Last few times the good docs weren't working or no longer work there. Today, a Saturday, I checked in at the front desk and was told to sit in the back and wait for my turn. This is normal. After watching every other patient that was there before me get adjusted, the doc then moved to patients that arrived after me. I thought i might be mistaken until I heard the one doc working notice a patient that arrived after me was not at the top of the list as the next patient. So he adjusted her instead of whoever was next on the computer. He then took new patients that I watched arrive after me, fill out paperwork and wait for about 10 minutes before getting adjusted. It's my fault I then waited to see if he'd pick me after them. He instead took another patient who walked in after the new patients. At this point, I walked to the front desk to ask if I was on the list anymore to which she looked at me confused and explained they were there before me and I need to wait my turn. I quietly and calmly explained that I been here for over 45 minutes, to which she said I was next. I asked if my name was on the board/computer, so she asked me my first name. But sheconfirmed with the wrong last name. I said, no, and gave my last name to which she looked at her computer confused. Then looked at me, no apology, no explanation and said, "have a seat and you'll be next". Sucks to be told you're wrong as a customer (she told me others were in front of me that weren't) and when they realize they made a mistake, not the customer, to be told to sit and wait with no apology or acknowledgment of their mistake. The doc overheard me at the desk and peaked around the corner to apologize and said I'd be next. Nice guy. Front desk person, incompetent and could use basic customer service training. I declined as I was very irritated and well out of time and asked to cancel my membership instead as it's not worth it. That's a whole story in itself that I won't bore you with. My opinion, go to a chiropractor that treats you like a person, not a number. Again, nice docs, they just work for a crappy company. Why are you still reading this? I'm ranting. Go enjoy your life. Wow! I am a believer in chiropractic care because it has worked for me. I love the joint because of their overall consistency but you can also find the doc that does that one extra little thing that makes it even better. That brought us to the one @ Bell and 3rd. I came over here because I had really bad back pain. You can either buy a monthly subscription or buy a pack of visits. The monthly subscription is $79/month with a max of 4 visits a month ($19.75-$79 per visit). For visit pricing: 1 visit: $45 6 visits: $199 ($33.17 per visit) 10 visits: $289 ($28.90 per visit) 20 visits: $469 ($23.45 per visit) Your very first visit is $29. To compare plans, the last chiropractor I visited cost $500 for 10 visits. However, The Joint only does adjustments. In layman's terms, adjustments are when they crack different parts of your back/neck. The other chiropractor I went to was more expensive but gave way more therapy: in addition to adjustments, I got electrical stimulation therapy, hydroculator hot pack therapy, massage chair, ultrasound therapy, had Biofreeze put on my back, and roller massage table. Also, I even got worksheets and information on how to do back stretches at home. The Joint does none of this. Thus, if you have bad back problems like myself, I personally think it's more worth it to go to a place that offers a more comprehensive therapy. The best thing I got from The Joint is one of the chiropractors letting me know that I don't really need to go to an emergency room with my issues. The adjustment they gave me didn't really help my back at all. The best thing that helped was when they gave me an ice pack that can double as a heat pack. So pretty much I spent $29 on a small hot/cold pack. Also note that this place did not honor the Yelp deal so be wary if you have any sort of coupons or deals as they can't be trusted. read more

Jill at the desk was extremely friendly and made me feel at home before I could even finish my new client paperwork. Once my turn was up, I was approached by Dr. John who has decades of experience in physical performance and knew exactly what symptoms I was trying to describe. After years of intense, bodybuilding training, I have definitely built up a few kinks in my body lol. Needless to stay, my needs were beyond met and my body feels great. The Chiropractor focus on my needs and was able to adjust me well. I came back for a second visit and the receptionist denied my visit. I am a recurrent patient and my invoice are paid on time . I was due to renew paperwork. I wasn't giving a courtesy call to make extra time for my next visit . My time was restricted as I explained to the receptionist. She went on explaining how she can lose her job if she allowed me to see the chiropractor without updating my forms . She proceeded to give me the iPad with an attitude and became unprofessional and unreasonable with me. I walked out as my time was limited. I called The Joint at a different location and asked if they can email the forms to save time. Their response was that my forms aren't due for renewal for the next 10 days. Since Dr. Kurt arrived and I have been seeing him on a regular basis I have noticed a huge improvement. I sit at a desk all day typing on a computer. I have noticed a huge improvement since he started working more on my neck. The prices are reasonable when on a payment plan. You can go every week if you want to and the hours are convenient. They also have two doctors now on staff reducing the times you may have to wait when busy. It's worth the money. read more

You need my home address for an adjustment why? Went to this location at my lunch hour to pick up any paperwork I would need to submit. Was going to go after work. Some of the questions on the paperwork was not pertinent my situation. I have a full time chiropractor that I see, he is just on vacation. The receptionist told me I had to fill out all the information or I couldn't be seen. I refused as again just looking for a one time adjustment. If you don't want my money that's fine. So I ran down to the Tatum store where of course they heard me and my situation. In & out no problem. So...you are wrong I don't need to fill out all the paperwork to be seen. In response to Claire H: Thank you for your concern. The point is, patients that go to the chiropractor do so because they are in pain. I was no exception. And I did reach out to your team when I first went to The Joint and asked if the chiropractors were "good." I was told they were "all good." I was never told of the doctors' very limited corporate treatment options or that The Joint is only effective in very mild cases caused by "daily living." Yes, The Joint is cheap, fast (as treatment is usually 5-minutes or less), but just like fast food, may not be helpful or healthy. Full and honest disclosure of limited treatment options should happen before locking someone into a contract. read more

So I've been going to The Joint for Alonso a month now carrying an injury from my shoulders and neck. I've got of say my injury has significantly become better just after the first few visits. Great chiropractic care every time. Customer service is outstanding. Peggy, the receptionist is awesome in getting you started always in a great mood. My favorite Chiropractor is Dr. Twigg, she takes a lil extra time finding the spots needed and always has me feeling nice and relaxed after every adjustment. The cost is affordable. I pay $70 a month for 4 adjustments and only $10 every time after. I see myself a member here for a long time. read more

Normally I'd give them a 3 or 4 star, but the receptionist was very rude and made the entire visit uncomfortable. I spent overall 5 minutes with the doctor who was good. I only wanted a one time adjustment (as I'm waiting to be seen by my primary chiropractor) and I felt better leaving than I did coming in. However the receptionist was terribly rude. While filing paperwork she informed me I need to "redo the pain measurement sheet because I walked into the office so therefore I couldn't be in as much pain as listed." When I started to explain my injuries and issues she interrupted me and stated "if I was in that much pain they would expect me to be crawling to the office." I have had multiple injuries to the back, neck, and shoulder and this morning (like most) I was unable to sit up in bed do to pain. MIt is disappointing to have someone so condescending and rude addressing potential new customers. The doctor was nice, but I can't see myself ever returning let alone buying a plan. Which is a shame, I really would like a local chiropractor to see when my primary is booked solid. read more

The joint is a very affordable care facility. Both Dr. Palazzo and Dr. Twigg are excellent Chiropractors with plenty of strength to get any of your deep spots taken care of. I primarily see Dr. Palazzo who is very thorough and is able to get me aligned correctly in areas that some just are not able too at times. He has also been great in suggesting physical therapy exercises to strengthen my wrists on my own - as well he is able to adjust them! I've never been unhappy with either of the Chiropractors on staff. I highly recommend this location. read more

I recently went back after experiencing horrible sciatic pain and I was desperate. I had an awful experience with Dr Twigg who threw my pelvis out of whack so badly I was afraid to return. When you're already suffering sciatic pain the last thing you can stomach is the thought of it actually being made worse. There were new doctors and I was suggested to Dr Pike. I explained myself to him and he seemed annoyed to have to listen to me all of 30 seconds. He checked very little on me. The entire session lasted probably 5 minutes. During the adjustment I burst into tears. Never in 20 plus years of my life has that happened. I was sobbing uncontrollably. Something felt not right. I apologized for crying and he said it's fine you're not the first person I've made cry. Wow that's settling. The receptionist came in and gave me a tissue. Thank you to her. I told him when it was done I had felt one leg was longer than the other. And he said well it's not now. I left and returned home with worse pain. My pelvis was totally off and I popped more Advil and called another chiropractor the following day. I went the next day and three people in the office throughout the visit commented one leg was longer than the other. Without me even mentioning it. Sure enough as I had stated to Dr Pike one leg was longer and my pelvis was rotated. All he did was rotate it into the opposite position. Xrays showed this as well. Pelvis was rotated. Spine was leaning slightly left and one hip way high. I feel I deserve a refund. I would never ever ever suggest this place to anyone. I wish I would have went to the other doctor on day one. Now I had to deal with the initial sciatic pain plus the new damage. Between this guy and Dr Twigg I don't know how this place hasn't been sued yet. And to the people sitting in the lobby when a client bursts into uncontrollable sobbing during the session that should have been your clue to high tail out of there and find a different doctor. *Edited to say I have received no contact from The Joint (now 2 weeks from their posting a response) despite them posting this message saying someone would contact me. And my back is still messed up. *additional edit in response to new comment. I filled out entirely new paperwork. Both my phone and email are on that paperwork. You can add that to the list of poor handling of things. One obviously my information wasn't updated in your system and two the first thing anyone who actually cared would have done is look at the paperwork to confirm. And finally if this was not successful they would have drafted an official letter and mailed it. read more

This occurred at the 245 E. Bell location. As a new patient I told the receptionist that I only wanted the activator and no manipulation due to my scoliosis. I then I spoke to John, he immediately began to question, more of an interrogation, why I wanted the activator only and that my scoliosis wasn't that bad. He never examined me so I don't know how he could have come to that conclusion. I told him again just the activator, which only seemed to agitate him even more. When I said no to the drop table, again activator only, is when he became extremely rude with rapid fire questions that he didn't give me time to answer. The other doctor witnessed this, looking on in disbelief. At that point I turned to my husband and said I was done. I guess John thought that he could get away with bullying a 63 year old woman. I then voiced my complaints with the receptionist and left. I later contacted the main office which never got back to me on their findings. I wonder how many patients they have lost due to this unprofessional, rude condescending person. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your chiropractic needs. read more

Went in for severe Sciatic pain that they told me they treat. The doctor spent less than 5 minutes with me and I am not exaggerating. Did nothing for me except talk about their mission statement and try to get me to sign up for one of their plans. If you did nothing for me, why would I sign up for a plan to come in and have nothing done 4 times. This was a complete waste of my time and money to go here. read more

Yesterday was my first time going to a Chryopractor EVER - im not really a touchy feely person so I have just been in pain for about a year and a half. Dr Roach was AWESOME - he sat with me and made me feel like he didnt have anything else to do but take care of me, which was awesome! I got super nervous it being my first time so he went over everything again and got out a display spine and went over EVERYTHING. Ive always had people tell me to go to a chryopractor but i never really thought it was a big deal - I didnt think that it would really help. Even after one adjustment i know that I was wrong and next time i visit Dr Roach I will be singing up for the monthy plan. I have been visiting various The Joint locations for a couple years now... This location opened up so close to my house and Dr. Roach has been treating for me for about a year now. I am a teacher and constantly have stress and tight shoulders as well as an old back injury that flares up now and then. Every time I leave a session I feel like a new woman! When I found out I was pregnant, I was a little nervous about continuing getting adjustments as my OB isn't keen on it. I was so miserable... I called and was reassured that the Dr could adjust me still. I met with him around 16 weeks and he told me that he adjusted his wife during pregnancy and his kiddos. Talk about relieved! I checked Yelp and found "The Joint" close to my work with excellent reviews and I was at their door the moment they opened... Behind several other repeat customers.
