I'm very crooked due to hip/low back, mid-back, shoulder/neck problems. At first glance, I look like I have scoliosis, but I do not. I have 2-3 deviations of my spine. This is the result of being born with one leg shorter than the other (which was only discovered 2 years ago at age 30) and both a swimming and car accident back-to-back. Sooooo.....I see Dr. Roach MWF's at this MOON VALLEY location. I've seen a D.O. and other chiropractors in the past in different offices off and on over the years. Finally, with THE JOINT's membership, I can afford consistent, regular care. I've visited THE JOINT on Camelback and in Albuquerque, but I have to say that of all the adjustment's I've ever had, Dr. Roach is the best. I look forward to my visits. He's the only chiro who has been able to correct my neck, jaw, shoulders, and hips. HOWEVER, I wold check your account each month to make sure that The Joint is charging the right card. I'm 6 mos into my membership (June 2014) and was just billed $390 for "forgotten" charges and charges billed to someone with a wildly different name than mine. I'm not happy about it. read more

A seriously strained neck from an improperly done exercise, led me to yelp, searching for a chiropractor. I chose the Joint because it is very close to my house, and their $29 dollar initial visit seemed like a dream come true. I had never seen a chiropractor before, so I had no idea what to expect. The nice receptionist (and the couches) made me feel comfortable quickly. After filling out the paperwork, I waited only 5 minutes before meeting the doctor. (I'm so terrible with names) The doctor listened attentively, and explained the process skillfully. If I had any lingering doubts, they were gone immediately. He gave me a thorough exam, and a quick adjustment, followed by some care instructions. The pain was not gone (and still isn't, 2 hours later) but I do sense an improvement. I walked in there after hurting myself pretty badly, I don't expect the man to work miracles. I'm a little disappointed that my problem couldn't be fixed right away, but I will continue to seek treatment from the doctors at the Joint. On the way out, I was in such a state, I nearly forgot to pay! Even that, the receptionist laughed off, and I left feeling well taken care of. Would recommend. read more

Dr. Roach is fantastic. For years I have battled sciatic pain, and when it flares up, Dr. Roach is always able to get me back on track within a day or so. I have gone to plenty of Chiropractors and a few different "The Joint" locations, but now I drive the 45 minutes to see Dr. Roach at this location. That may sound crazy, but a bit of a drive to ensure comfort is well worth it. I'd strongly recommend checking out this location. read more

Extremely disappointed! I've been coming here for years and I went in today in excruciating pain and the chiropractor on staff would not treat me and wanted someone else to look at me and I've been coming to get adjustments for many years left in pain unacceptable. The other chiropractor on staff heard all this and did nothing, and she is an owner. I will never come back, canceling my membership and will be sure to use the power of social media to let Phoenix know how poor the service and empathy is here. read more

I come here regularly for my constant back pain and I'm always satisfied! Dr. Twigg is who I normally see but if I come in and she's unavailable I'm always comfortable going to any of the doctors. The front desk is also very friendly and helpful. It's also helpful it's close to home. read more

I went in over the weekend due to some neck discomfort and tightness. I have insurance so I wasn't needing to return to The Joint multiple times but did want to give it a shot (Plus don't want to pay the high deductible with my insurance). I'm a first time customer, however, I have been with others so I understand the process. I arrived approximately around 1:20 pm and was fully aware they close at 2 pm for lunch. The receptionist right off the bat asked me to come back later as they would be closing for lunch at 2 pm. I said never mind I'll go somewhere else, she then stated that it was "up to you buddy" I just don't want you to feel rushed filling out the paperwork you have to do. Since I had been in discomfort for about 2 weeks and went ahead and said I would just fill out the paperwork. I don't know why 5 pieces of paper would equal me needing to come back at 2:45 pm and even if I took 25 minutes to do it that would have still been around 1:45 pm. While doing the paperwork the receptionist was on the phone with her mother having a personal conversation. After I finished the paperwork (in 5 minutes), she had me go back to the chiropractor area. I stood there for a few seconds not being spoken to by either chiropractor even though they had no one there and weren't doing anything (but did see me). Eventually the one chiropractor had me sit down. I've read reviews of people not liking the weekend chiropractors so I have a feeling these are rotating doctors or part time chiropractors as the one that worked on me is not on their website. I told him the issues I was having and he was informative, however, if I'm being completely honest, I felt like he was conning me and planning to steal my money. He kept having me stand up, come to the screen to discuss my issue, then sit back down, look over at the skeleton structure, sit back down, move over here, sit back down. It felt like he was street con artist in a previous life and was doing the shuck and jive so I couldn't pay attention when he steals my wallet. On top of that, he eventually "adjusted" me, as he worked on me for about a minute. I've never in my life (and I've been to quite a few chiropractors) not gone through the entire motion of an adjustment (lay face down, they crack your neck, then go down your spine, then turn you on your sides and adjust you, then have you lay down on your back and crack your neck, then pull your neck). He semi adjusted my back and then did two adjustments on my neck and that was it. Then it was time for talk about how he needs to see me 4 times a month and most chiropractors charge $75 but they are just so nice and will only charge $69 for 4 visits. When I went back to the receptionist, her attitude definitely changed when I said I was only paying for today's adjustment and even though I mentioned multiple times this was my first time at the Joint, I had to remind her that they have the $29 coupon for first time customers. She also never handed me a receipt. If I had had better service I would have maybe been naive enough to sign up for a subscription, but to me the service completely turned me away. If you don't have insurance and in desperate need of an adjustment then sure this place will do, but if you have insurance or just don't feel like being treated like crap, I would highly encourage others to not go here and find a different place. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. If you are looking for a professional, non intimidating, empathetic chiropractic clinic - this is not the place for you. I threw my lower back out shortly after getting a 90 min massage and was in severe pain. Couldn't find anyone that could get me in the same day but The Joint was able to get me in the next morning - so maybe that's where I can justify 1 star. I fill out a bunch of paperwork and wait. The dr then calls me back to this big open room with zero privacy and says - "you can throw your crap over there on the chair." ummm ok... She then proceeds to tell me that she "doesn't understand humans" after seeing on my chart that I had not been to a chiropractor in over 10 years. On and on she goes about me having a desk job and how horrible that is for me, and blah blah blah. Then when I try to explain that I'm feeling pretty anxious about the visit because I'm still in quite a bit of pain and I'm afraid it will make it worse and that I'm not wanting my neck adjusted she proceeds to make sarcastic and snarky comments about how 'she hates leg days, but she still does it' and 'I'm not going to lie - you may feel worse after you leave here. I don't know how your body is going to react to treatment'. well duh. I didn't go in there thinking I was going to receive a magic cure for my pain - but what I did expect to receive was professional, compassionate care from someone who actually LIKES humans. My husband who accompanied me to the visit, encouraged me that if this didn't feel right (that's an understatement) then we should leave. She agreed and then followed it up with 'maybe you should go home and get really high or drunk as that can loosen you up'. W.T.F. I cannot even begin to tell you how many alarm bells were going off in my head during this experience. Needless to say, I left without being treated and promptly found another chiropractor that was able to help me without treating me rudely, belittling me or making snarky sarcastic comments. I went to the chiropractor yesterday and saw the male chiropractor there. Went about bursitis in the knee since the pamphlet I read said they could help bursitis. When I saw him asked him he said it would not help and he did not write the pamphlet. When trying to pop my lower back he was very rough and I kept saying ouch so you think he would have been more gentle. He went on to adjust my knee as well. I have the worse knee pain, I hope he did not further damage my knee. I'm pretty upset and will not see this chiropractor again. read more

My wife and I went to this location today because we were in the area and needed an adjustment. On this visit, we scanned our membership card and were both seen and adjusted by the chiropractor all within 10 minutes. So far I love having the membership to The Joint because you can get in and adjusted fairly quickly and you can visit any location in any area of town you may be in and they are convient located all over the Phoenix area. read more

If I could give less stars I would. I signed up for there membership. The receptionist did not advise me of a 2 month minimum cancellation notice and that I would still be charged after cancelling. The second receptionist I talked to was completely rude and the corporate representative I spoke to was also rude and was not apologetic at all. Do NOT give this company your money. The first time I came here I thought I was SOOOO Lucky! Dr. Susan Twigg was an amazing find, and fixed me up right away. I was elated, it's hard to find a good chiropractor. So since I was coming into Phoenix from Sedona, close to a two hour drive, I called ahead when it was time to come back for a follow up. They told me Susan was out (Thurs) but would be back on Tuesday. 'They were sure', they told me when I asked again, so I planned my next week around her return. I drove all the way down to the Joint the following Tuesday, and what do you know, Dr. Twigg was not back. The receptionist didn't seem to care that because of their information, I came all the way and wasted gas, and most of the day. They told me I could see someone else, but I was reticent. I had every right to see who I wanted to see, that they TOLD me would be there. Well, time goes by and I find myself in Phoenix. I really need a tune- up, so to speak at this point, so I head on over to the joint. Susan Twigg was not there, and this time I agree to see someone else. I ask the difference between the two practitioners. One has adjustments that are more gentle and the other is a bit more oomph. Well that shouldn't have meant bad. Oh my goodness, I've never seen or received adjustments like that in my life, after 16 years history of chiropractic work. What, did they make that stuff up? The person clearly could diagnose, but certainly did not help me with what they did. I told the person my sacrum still felt jammed after they were done, and they told me to go home and ice it. OK, I have chronic sacrum issues, so after all of these years I know the difference. The practitioner didn't want to put me back on the table so I instead left in hesitation. Aside from that, the ribs on the OTHER side of what was adjusted now hurt when they didn't before. I went to the nearby grocery market and was in more pain. I hesitated on going back, pulled up in front of the office, got out of my car, and then decided to trust this person, and maybe it would all be all right the next day. I drove back to Sedona, put ice on it and rested. The next day I was in more pain than ever. I called the office and told them my history of driving all the way down there the first time because of their bad information, and then secondly what happened the day prior, and how I was in more pain than when I visited. I asked if there was anything they could do like offer me a discount or follow up for my next visit since I couldn't run back down there as I was set to leave town. The girl told me the manager would follow up. Of course nothing happened. It's two weeks later and my body is so warped I have never felt anything like it. Ribs out, sacrum jammed and not getting any better. Thanks Joint, I will never be back. Your service sucks and I lost money and am in a lot of pain because of it. If you all can find Susan Twigg, who I am not sure even actually works there still, go use her. She was amazing!!!! read more

This place is great! Originally heard about them on 92.3 KTAR and found out that one was near where I lived. The Docs there are awesome and take the time to listen to you as they really want to help you to the best of their abilities. I always feel better coming out of there than I did going in. I have recently tried many chiropractors, at the Joint locations and others. Dr. Roach is the best I have found so far! With his adjustments I am starting to see much more improvement with my issues and feel like I'm making progress. He has done some adjustments on me that none of the other chiropractors I have seen have done. It seems to be working. He also takes the time to listen and understand your problems. This is my second time at this location. The first time I was super nervous because I had never gotten adjusted before, but my massage therapist sweared that this place was amazing. And after seeing all the good reviews I felt much better about it. The first doctor I saw in August was nice and made me feel comfortable, but at the end I didn't feel educated and I just felt all this pressure to buy one of their plans. Then the woman up front was so extremely rude when I said I couldn't buy a plan. So I was skeptical to come back because of that experience. I decided to give this location another try because of some back pain I was having, and there was a different girl up front who was much nicer. But as soon as I get back there, I was not welcomed, the doctor didn't introduce herself. I was trying to explain what part of my back was hurting and why and the woman just rudely told me to lay on my stomach. Then proceeds to giving me this guilt trip about why I need to come more frequently. Then when she asked what I do for work, I watched this woman look at her co-worker and roll her eyes! She then just starts talking about personal stuff with the other doctor, and at the end proceeds to guilt trip me some more and tells me to "bite the bullet" and get a wellness plan. She adjusted me, which was I guess is why she's there. So thanks for that. But honestly, this woman was so rude and made this whole experience uncomfortable which is unfortunate because I enjoy the services. read more

I have seen Dr. Palazzo as a chiropractor for many years and am very grateful for his superb knowledge and experience! He has helped my back pain of 23 years to become a very infrequent occurrence. I just was in the office 2 days ago with excruciating neck pain, and being 35 weeks pregnant with twins, he adjusted me with skill! I would highly recommend him to anyone as I feel he goes above and beyond the typical visit with educating his patients by giving exercises and interventions to help in-between appointments. read more

I tried this location of The Joint and I am definitely a fan. Although they offer packages that are super affordable, their regular walk-in rate beats the rate I had with my previous chiropractor. I feel like I'm getting a deal even if I pay the walk-in rate, plus I love that it's close to home, really affordable, no appointment necessary, and I'm in and out quickly. I am a child of Chiropractic and very particular about Chiropractors so when I relocated from PA to AZ I had to find a good Chiropractor to pick up where my dad and brother left off. I know a great deal about Chiropractic and grew up working in a Chiropractic office so when I tell you these guys are legit I am speaking the truth. I saw Dr. Twigg for my first visit and told her that I was looking for a new Chiropractor and was very educated about chiropractic, she was amazing, she spent time, she was very personable, made me laugh, gave me a fantastic adjustment and I have been a loyal patient since that moment, I go every week for my adjustment. I have also seen Dr. Nelson at that location and find him to also be a great Chiropractor. I would highly recommend The Joint Moon Valley and Drs. Twigg and Nelson!!!!
