Where do I begin?! (THIS IS LONG BUT WORTH THE READ)
In the beginning...
I was having one of the WORST days of my of my herniated disc life on the day that I called in to schedule an appointment. That specific morning, I forgot to read my morning devotional as I had to run errands and then head to the dentist to receive a dental implant. I recall an old lady cutting me in line at the UPS Store where I have my business mailbox. (first errand) Now, on any other day I would have let it slide. However, on this day, I was in excruciating pain as I could only stand for about 30 seconds. The lady cut me in line & then accused me of cutting her when I went to the desk for assistance. She yelled at me and I politely rudely told the lady that I was in too much pain to be respectful & that she was too old to lie.
Then I went to the dentist and the person ahead of me had such a yuck mouth that my dentist went past my scheduled appointment by an hour. Again, I usually have the patience of Job (bible) however I could not sit (due to the herniated disc). I went home, called the dentist, and told them how unimpressed and disgusted I was in having to wait all whilst in extreme agony!!!!
Now back to the appointment scheduling... after I got home, I called the Jackson Clinic to schedule an appointment. When I called I spoke to Jasmine. Before we began, I vented to her that I had to cuss out an old lady and told her that I was having a horrible day! Well, I told her that I did not like old people! But I do... Just not old people who think that their age gives them carte blanche to be disrespectful! I also explained to Jasmine that I was having a bad day & that it tends to happen whenever I miss my devotional on my You Version Bible App...
Schedule, so after speaking with Jasmine I was relieved of all and any anger that the day had brought forth that morning. We scheduled my sessions and then got off the phone. Well, right after I finished scheduling weeks of therapy, I was informed that my schedule changed and that I would need to adjust the time!!! So, I called the Jackson Clinic (again) and as fate would have it JASMINE with her BEAUTIFUL VOICE would answer the phone!!!
This was fate, destiny!!! I was supposed to be at the Jackson Clinic!! She rescheduled my appointments and then we ended our phone call. I was more excited to meet her than I was to begin physical therapy.
FIRST DAY:
From the moment I walked into the clinic I was met with friendly smizes (as masks were worn) and pleasant voices. This was a warm welcoming considering the fact the herniated disc in my L5-S1 was causing me rehabilitating & excruciating pain. I was hesitant and honestly, I did not think that it would benefit me. And there she was!!! My future wife & woman of the cloth JASMINE!!! Probably the MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN I HAVE EVER SEEN IN ALL OF MY EXISTANCE!!! For a moment, the pain in my back subsided... It was nice to finally meet the woman on the phone with the friendly and pleasant voice. I remember calling my dad and telling him that I FOUND HER (the one)!!! (JASMINE)
After a COVID screening, forms, and payment method I was taken to ANNE! The first day was HELL. I wanted to cry... Not because of ANNE, but because it hurt to sit, stand, lay, walk, bend, breathe... it hurt to sit on the toilet!!! (TMI) Anne completed my assessment did initial screening. I thought to myself. What am I doing here!?!? Why didn't Dr. Wallach just CUT ME OPEN!!! TAYLOR (THE TRAINER) had me stretch out and I could barely move... Now, I thought that the steroids' and epidural would help alleviate the pain... It did not. A tear shed from my left eyeball... I wiped it so that Anne would not see the pain I was in... I remember going home after that first session and calling the Dr. and telling his PA to CUTME OPEN!! They suggested another epidural... I obliged.
After a few days of lounging I was ready to another try at PT. The subsequent sessions with Anne & Taylor went VERY WELL!!! My 1 on 1's proved to be instrumental in my rehabilitation as did my sessions thereafter with Taylor.
Anne is patient, kind, knowledgeable and caring. She knows her ish!!! I enjoyed getting to know a little bit about her and having her guide me on the path to being able to sit, walk, stand, bend move.
Taylor is an AMAZING trainer. The exercises that she and Anne selected for my course of treatment were the greatest!!! From twerking (glute exercises) to side steps and everything in between I was pushed to the limits that enabled and enhanced my road to recovery! We had wonderful sessions (EVENINGS ARE THE BEST) and I looked forward to EVERY Session!!!
Mary (super sweet) and PAM (THE BEST)-as I had the most interaction with her made the morning or evening. I love the conversations that I had with the other clients and with miss all the staff. Thank you, LIZ, for working with me whenever I had to change my schedule! You ROCK!!!!
I wish all of you excellence & success!!! read more
