While they also offer American fare (think cheeseburgers), they do have genuine Irish foods. By genuine, i do NOT mean corned beef and cabbage, which is actually a Jewish dish from eastern Europe. Ireland is a poor nation, the meat eaten most often is pork, which is the cheapest available. One of my favorite dishes here is pork sausage chunks with dumplings. Good nachos and service. The Bread Pudding, has a unique chocolate flavor of sauce, with a good amount of raisins and crispy top layer. Soft lower texture with a good balance and lots of walnuts mixed in to add a nutty crunch. A little thin but well put together. Great outdoor seating if the weather is nice. Ordered 2 beers on tap, pretzel bites as an appetizer, with shepherd's pie, and bangers and mash as our lunch entrees. There were roughly 2 other patrons, which always makes me nervous to eat somewhere. Service was good. Pretzel bites were bland & nothing special. SO FUN! Even in this wretched time, the Irishmen is worth venturing out to! It is the perfect little "hole in the wall", groovy, neighborhood pub! Need something yummy to warm you up on a beastly fall or winter day? Here you go! Their stew is almost as good as their sheppard's pie, both of which are fantastic! Although, their fish and chips are just as good! And, you know when you walk into a place and it just seems authentic? Ordered an Irish car bomb, normally the glass is filled at least halfway to 3/4 full with Guinness. When it comes out it's essentially a shot of beer and a shot of the whiskey/cream... I expressed frustration that this isn't what it normally is and they said it's how they do it there. $15 for a shot of beer and a partial shot of whiskey/cream is too much! It's on the menu with cocktails so you would think it would be more than just a specialty shot. It said "a shot of whiskey and cream dropped into Guinness". I had nothing to drop it into... Then my food came out cold and super salty, the au jus wasn't watered down so it was essentially just the concentration. My friend didn't like her food either because it had no flavoring and came out cold. The waiter just said sorry you didn't like it and took it away. My experience was not great here. read more

Came in here on Saturday 5/11 at 1pm with four of my girlfriends. We were celebrating a rare mom's day out for Mother's Day Weekend. Imagine how disappointed we were when the bartender was incredibly rude, lazy, and unprofessional. We came in, ordered our drinks, all $11 mixed drinks off the specialty cocktail menu. One of my friends asked for an orange slice in her drink, the bartender refused because "she didn't have an open orange and wouldn't cut open a new one." Another friend asked for a round of waters. Bartender says "let's start with one," and gives our group of five ONE glass of water. Then she interrupted our conversation to tell some story about poking holes in condoms. My beverage, the Georgia Peach, was the most expensive non-alcoholic iced tea I've ever had in my life. If I was the owner of this establishment, I would seriously consider letting that chick go, because her attitude and refusal to do her job just cost you 5 patrons from ever returning. read more

I grade harshly on Irish Pubs, keep mind. The staff is 5/5 on customer service. Location and cleanliness is 5/5. Atmosphere is 5/5. Drinks are 1/5 when you don't have Harp Lager, call yourself an Irish Pub, and have adverts for it all over the place. Price is 1/5 when a Scotch Egg is the same cost of a shot of whisky. Food is 3/5 when you have Poutine as a menu item and you use cheddar cheese (vs traditional cheese curds or a soft white cheese). In short: this is a very good bar that is also extremely expensive. Come here for soccer/rugby only if you're an Amazon exec or are prepared to take out a second mortgage. read more

The bartenders simply need to have some social skills. They're like robot people and really rude at times! We tolerated it all simply you just need ti lol because they have no personality. I had the pleasure of eating in this fine establishment. The decor and seating was adequate - it really set the mood. We ordered a cocktail from the bar it was seasonal and with it being summer - we ordered lemonade with raspberry vodka and some other tasty alcohol - when it arrived I was so happy. It had enough ice to keep it cold. Finally a drink I can enjoy. I wish I could give this place 6 out of 5 stars. We stopped in for lunch for the first time. My family is from Portland and we do not get up this far north very often. What a great choice. The staff was super friendly. The place was very comfortable and the food was outrageously good. there were 6 of us and we had to each order a different appetizer because they all looked so good. Absolutely horrible. Went in last night to grab a drink and didn't have a technical mask so I wrapped a scarf around my face multiple times. Sat at the bar and got aggressively asked to put a mask on. They did not offer me a mask and when I asked for one he gave me an angry glare and response of no. He never asked me to leave politely and continued to yell at the top of his lungs and cuss at me. I asked how late they were open so I could go grab a mask and come back only to have him smile and say they were closed, implying that they would not serve me even if I got a mask. He never asked politely for me to leave but instead called the police and the owner came up from behind me to try to physically push me outside but instead I asked him not to touch me and I left with the owner yelling at me to never f-ing come back. read more

I went to this place two nights in a row. The second night, I was with a wedding party. Wedding parties are not allowed here because of one incident that involved a physical confrontation between a wedding goer and bartender. This was per the lady bartender. So we all left. I came back with only two others and I was told to leave because I was still considered a wedding party dressed nicely. "If you went home and changed, maybe I would have served you." The bartender said I didn't pay her the night before...I did. So I gave her the money I allegedly owed her. No part of this conversation was professional, only rude. I'm reading other similar recent reviews and it sucks that an Irish pub with so much potential has been a disappointment. Keep walking...you're money is better spent elsewhere. read more

My husband and I have come here for years. Not sure what has changed but I can honestly say within the last year I've noticed on several occasions (3) we have been confronted with short, rude and almost put out to serve us, the customer! I can honestly say I loved this bar for the atmosphere and food but I won't be back. 1st visit: waited for someone to greet us, the place was empty, asked for a menu and the waitress huffed off and then didn't come back. We were left standing there. We left. Money lost:$50-$60 2nd visit: came for dinner, waitress acted as if she wished she were dead. No sense of humor. No smile. No how was your meal...didn't ask if we wanted another drink and dropped check. Never picked up dishes and then closed us out. We did want another couple drinks as we now live close enough to walk. Money lost: $20 3rd visit: husband came for a drink and dinner. He sat at the bar and asked for a special drink ( half/half beer using an ipa instead of harp) and was curtly corrected in front of other patrons. She was sharp and condenscending for no reason. She replied, 'No! But I can pour you a hop not.' No explanation, no other interaction as she served the beer. She never asked if he wanted dinner or spoke to him again. He finished the drink and left. Money lost: $30.00 3 interactions, 3 different waitresses and over $100 in lost revenue. Not to mention the money we would be spending if we continued to visit. I was here on business and staying at the courtyard Marriott just a block away. I had just finished a long, cold day of work at the Blue Fox Drive-In Theater where we were doing an event for Amazon, and I was in desperate need of a meal. The hotel bar was closed so I got on Yelp, and saw this lovely bar less than a 2 minute walk away. I walked into a lively bar, filled with Irish people, live music, Guinness on tap, and some incredible fish and chips. I planned on staying for one beer, which turned to four, and next thing you know I was singing Irish tunes with the band on stage. God bless Ireland. read more

It was served cool and the fries weren't good and they were also cold. My wife got spinach and bacon salad. It plenty of bacon and blue cheese. Way to much spinach that was not trimmed or sorted to remove out the less desirable leaf's. The service was not very good either. I spent half of my time asking for our drinks, napkins and utensils. This review is for pre-pandemic dinners & drinks at The Irishmen. This is a dependable bar and restaurant in downtown Everett. Not the best food, but definitely serviceable and a very good choice for picky eaters. The atmosphere inside is lovely and dark, and often boisterous with lots of groups of people. I remember that Tuesday evenings used to feature a local fiddle group who would come practice! I am looking forward to going back here for some drinks and food when able. read more

This used to be our go-to place to go or recommend. After tonight, not anymore. I ordered a black & tan. It was black. Honestly, it's not that hard for the basic of bartenders let alone an Irish bar. They used to care but not anymore. With a basically empty house, fish & chips and bangers & mash shouldn't take 1/2 to make. While I love that they ditched the cornmeal breading on the fish for traditional beer batter the fish was so thin it curled up on itself so it was so dry the fish itself was crispy. The bangers & mash is also half the size it used to be but still the same price. The look of shock on my husband's face was like he thought he ordered off the happy hour menu. There was also an exceptionally loud group of douchebags that kept shouting over themselves so the entire restaurant was forced to hear their conversation.
