Went there one night on a Tuesday. There was a group of people there playing violins and fiddles, etc. It was fun to hear the live music from fellow patrons. I ordered chicken fingers. One of the very few bars I enjoy going to in Everett. I have always had excellent service every time I've gone there & the food is also very tasty. I went here with my boyfriend last night, and can safely say that I found our new favorite bar in Everett I loved the walls and woodwork of the pub... it had booths that were set up for lots of privacy, so that the walls were tall enough to block noise of the people nearby at the other tables. That was my favorite part of this pub- the noise level was LOW, and they played great music- which again was not blasting. I hate it when I have to yell so that the person next to me can hear me! It is a great place for a date night out, or to bring a few friends to hang. I also liked that it wasn't packed, and not full of loud, rambunctious, drunk young people. Good food, friendly waitresses, 2 page list of whiskeys, and they know how to pour a beer! I also met the owner who had an awesome Irish accent that I was trying to emulate the rest of the night. I've always drive past it thinking I need to go there sometime. Well I finally did in September of 2018 to watch a Sounders game. Just before the game was over a guy with a guitar came in, I was interested to hear him sing so I stayed. It turns out he's and Irish folk singer and I really enjoyed it, so I asked a waiter when her would be back. Well I went back and enjoyed it so much I've come to here him sing every sense. His name is Oliver Mulholland, We have a fun group that meets twice a month and we sing for 3 hours, the food is amazing, the best is the Mac and cheese and the Sheppard's pie, but they have a great burger, chicken strips and AAC chicken ceased salad. Let me start out by saying that our food server was great, but not impressed with our choices. What we had was not that great but that's not to say the other stuff isn't bad. The hummus was okay so I would never order it again. The veggies were fresh and yummy but the flavor of the hummus I wasn't to fond of. My hubby ordered tjhe mac & Chz w/ bacon. It was okay not great. For the $19 Mac & Chz it should've tasted much better and way overpriced for sure.. it's noodles, cheese and a couple slices of bacon mixed in a bowl. This was my first time at the establishment, and the experience was disappointing. The waitress had a bit of an attitude throughout my time there, and even rolled his eyes when I asked him where the restroom was. Not to mention the pretzel bites were dry and a little burnt. Great place to grab a beer with coworkers after work. They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap with a few dark beers which I appreciate. The bartenders and wait staff are attentive. Have tried a few of the food items on happy hour and they pretty much are out of the bag in a deep fat fryer but served hot. Can't speak to the dinner menu. The beer prices are reasonable but not a deal. The seating is a little hard - get your drinking done and move on. Overall maybe between a 3 and a 4. read more

We own the business next door to the Irishman, last night we went in at 5:30 pm and gave them a large order of 7 meals for our entertainers. The waiter told me they were busy and I told him that was fine I didn't need it for an hour, I came back at 6:30 and it still wasn't ready, it was finally ready after 7. The owner came by today and said we came in at 6:15 and demanded our meals. He has always been the rudest business owner on the block as everyone else knows. My wife told him that he was wrong and he said "F" you Mrs. to her. I could go on and on with what other things this guy has said and done, but if you want a place that is friendly and cares about your business, The Irishman is not it! read more

It's unfortunate I am giving this establishment such a poor review, but it is not unwarranted. Last Saturday night (9/28/2013), my brother was visiting from out-of-town and we opted to go out for a few beers and chat as it had been a while since he'd been back. Well, what was meant to be a nice quiet evening began on a sour note as we were denied entrance from the man at the door (whom we were told was the owner by a man entering the pub). The owner took a look at my ID and then my brother's (both of us are in our 30s, but we know the routine) and then said to my brother "No, you're not getting in, you're too drunk, I can see it in your eyes." I was a bit taken aback by this given that this Irish pub was our first stop of the evening; neither one of us had done any drinking by that point. Remaining level-headed, I explained to the man that my brother wasn't drunk, that it was most likely just fatigue from being jetlagged as he had flown in from Tampa that afternoon. But that man refused to listen to reason. I told him I didn't understand why he was refusing to let us in but he simply just repeated himself "You're not getting in" and had the audacity to not make eye-contact with me. Without choice, we had to leave and ended up going to a local micro-brewery, but I was just amazed by the fact the owner turned away two potential patrons simply because my poor brother was a bit tired from 12 hours of traveling. His standoffish nature and refusal to listen to reason lost him revenue that night, and any night in the future from my brother or myself. read more

I hate writing this review because the Irishman was once one of my favorite places to go to in Everett but after today they have lost a regular customer. Just to start if you are wondering if the food is good, it is. As far as individual experiences/customer service goes we have had amazing experiences and not the best. Today however was the worst. I should start by saying we are Irish and take St Patrick's day very seriously. Every year I make a big Irish meal, but this year we looked up the Irishman and planned to get a smorgasbord of food to go. (Which is very special because we aren't super high income). We don't have the money for the cover charge to go in and see the bands and events so we were just getting food to go. As usual. I checked their page on St Patty's events thoroughly! (I suffer from ocd...so you know...it was REALLY thorough lol). All that was stated about the food was that it was "served until midnight". I started calling early at around 2pm to order our food to go because I knew it would get more crowded the later it got. No answer any of the 8+ times I called over the course of several hours. I assumed that since it was St Patty's they were busy. No big deal I thought, "we will order once we were there". So after spending a long time gathering up the bravery to leave my house for the Irish food I knew would be worth it (like I said...really bad ocd) we arrived at about 4:30. Upon arriving we walked up to the three bouncers and told them we would just like food to go. One bouncer turned to another and said "no food to go today right?" The other guy just nodded. After that was answered we were instantly we were dismissed by them. I was shocked...it never said that ANYWHERE on their flyer which advertised traditional Irish food!!! "Served till midnight"!!!!! After attempting to et their attention again I asked what our options were and they said to pay the cover charge and eat inside. Not an option for us. As I walked thinking about how hard it was for me to get out of the house and be brave, how we had no other plans because I thoroughly checked that this was a good place to go, I thought...here has to be some way. So I walked back asking if there was anyone in the restaurant I could talk to, if they could make an exception for loyal regulars, we couldn't afford to go out to and pay a cover charge- is there was anything they could do?? Before I could finish one of them cut me off and started boasting about how the cover charge goes to the bands and how we would be taking from them. I said that wasn't my point, I was asking about getting food to go. Was there was any way? The man continued boasting in a very pushy way saying "look we can't do it. Do you know how crowded t is in there?? We are serving on paper plates! No food to go." I understand the reasoning. What I don't understand was the way we were treated for double checking. I also don't unseeing advertising an event and not posting any kind of warning that they would change their usual policies for the day. Our St Patrick's day is ruined. Last night 3 of my co-workers decided to come here for a few drinks after work. We get there, and our waitress, Cheyenne, takes our drink order. She then being the drinks and our checks immediately, not even asking us if we need/ want anything. Anyways it seemed like she was rushing us and we came in at 12, which means they weren't evening closing for another 2 hours. Other than the service, the drinks were delicious. What a wonderful place to spend the evening. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and if you want great food that will comfort you on every level, this is the place. With James, I rate it a 4 for now- as Everett wasn't ready for a 2am eatery/bar, but I we haven't made it up there since it first opened. I loved the setup and decor- feels like a real Irish bar. Decided to take my date here because the reviews were so great. Good choice, she liked it, or at least she said she did. Anyway, it is a pretty cozy place that seems great for doing just want you want when you enter a bar, enjoy ur drink & feel your drink. I had a Manny's for the first time and it was pretty good. My date had a Washington Apple and it was no glass of puckers, the bartender made sure the first drink was potent. We tried the Potato Dumplings & Sausage for an appettizer. If your up to try new things, then this is a great start. We ate the whole dish and even forked a few scoops of the gravy because it tasted so different & good. The menu is not that big, but its a pub & eatery, not a restaurant. So we settled for the Reuben sandwiches, which Im a huge fan of. My date only tried it because nothing else seemed appealing to her and she is no fan of sauerkraut. Long story short, the Reuben was flavorful. The spread was not drenched in the sandwich and neither was the sauerkraut. It was evenly spread throughout the sandwich and I never wanted it to end! Even my date was surprised at how well it tasted. Fries were on the side and they were fine. Our waitress was friendly, she made sure our drinks stayed full and that our food was to our liking. The other waitressess even made rounds to make sure we were fine when our waitress was out of sight. Overall, it was a great choice for a friday night date. Great place to go and chill after a busy work week and all you wanna do is relax, drink and have a good bite to eat. Glad I experienced The Irishmen, I will return when Im in Everett! read more

I live only a few blocks away so how did I miss this gem? I went here on a date several months ago and for appetizers we had the Potato Dumplings with Sausage and the Red Wine Sauteed Mushrooms. Absolutely DELICIOUS! The gravy on the dumplings was in a word, orgasmic! The waitress brought us soda bread (which was delish as well!) to sop up the remaining gravy. I returned a couple months later to take my parents here - all the way from Florida. Could have taken them to any local restaurant but I picked The Irishmen. My mother and I had the Colcannon - a delectable blend of corned beef, cabbage, sausage and potatoes. The serving was so big we both took enough for lunch or dinner the next day. My father had the fish and chips and he was raving about them as well. I've been back on weekend nights to hear the live music and can also say their cocktails are great - especially the "Dirty Shirley" - Shirley Temple with Vodka. Will definitely try to make myself a "regular" at this pub - it's just great! read more

My boyfriend and I LOVE coming here on date nights. We share the Ulster Fry and a Guinness. He also enjoys the fish tacos. Its all ridiculously satisfying. The decor looks like a real Irish pub, the place is classy and fun and the staff is attentive and very nice. On specific weeknights they bring in an Irish music band which is alot of fun to listen to. Overall we love our experience everytime we come here. read more

Apparently to the bartender working last night, giving an 'authentic' Irish pub experience means being a complete a-hole to your patrons. Now, I've never been to Ireland, so I'm not sure if this is the kind of service you can expect over there, but I was pretty appalled to experience it myself in Everett. ...Which is a big bummer, because I really like the Irishmen. It has a great atmosphere, fantastic beers on tap, clean bathrooms, and good food (I've heard...never tried it myself). But the bartender may need to find a new career, as it seems he's very unhappy with his current one. For this reason, I won't go back to the Irishmen until they change their staff. Not sure if it was the owner working or not (I'm not familiar with the owners), but if that's the case, he may want to re-think his marketing plan. Service should be #1. read more

We stopped in for lunch on a lazy Saturday afternoon. The place was delightful. The decor is dominated by the bar. It has a real pub feel to it. The menu is standard fare with a few Irish dishes thrown in. Mostly sandwiches, burgers, salads and such. We started with onion rings and chicken wings. Very tasty. I had their beef stew and my GF had a cobb salad. Both were very good. The food was a bit pricey, $12 for a bowl of stew. The service was excellent. We both drooled over the dessert menu and while we didn't order any we will be back to try some. read more

A group of friends & I went in for late night drinks & food. A friend of mine (female) was being harassed & bothered by a patron. The patron followed us outside & was being rude & confrontational. I pulled the waitress aside & spoke to her about it. She quickly got the owner to come over & listen. He(they)showed genuine concern & IMMEDIATELY 86'd the guy, was very apologetic, even though a patron acting up isnt their fault, (he wasnt overserved or anything, just being an ass) the owner made my friend & us feel comfortable & her safe, even sent over a round of whiskey on the house. This place went above & beyond normal protocol. The irishmen has customers for life from my friends & I, as well as my recommendation to anyone looking for a great place with food, drinks, Cozy atmosphere. It feels like youre in a pub in Dublin. By far, the best fish n chips around! The Shepard's pie is awesome as is the sautéed mushrooms, the atmosphere and everything in between. This is the place to lounge into a booth, or belly up to the bar for some incredible food and stout drink. It's one PGA kind. read more
