For nearly a year I tried to ignore the "Clean Vent" indicator light on our dryer that was flashing every time we ran the dryer. For both visits, our chimney was cleaned (and, 15 years ago, it was inspected per an inspection report during the home's purchase). They recently cleaned my dryer duct, which had gone for a very long time without cleaning. Everything about the process was positive - they arrived on time with two vans, two workers plus Sally and got to it. My vent exhausts through the roof so they got up on the roof and were able to do most of the extraction that way, finishing up in a very tight laundry room that required moving washer and dryer to get access (and then moved them back). They also did a before and after measure of airflow out the roof vent - removing the lint increased the flow by one third, in addition to fixing a potential fire hazard.
