Cute spot of girlfriend took me to when we visited. The service and space were awesome! The food was pretty good too. This will be a spot I come back to when I visit again! Since I'm not local, I didn't understand what's going on with their patio, but I'm sad it was shut down! Hopefully they can get it back open! read more

Fun time at trivia. Good beer list. Good service. Good ambiance. Fish and chips unfortunately came out cold and mushy. Staff said we could sit outside for trivia, but then in the middle of the game closed all the windows effectively shutting us out of the game and then got weird with us when we asked to keep just one open so we could hear the questions. We had run up quite a tab with beers, apps, and entrees. This wasn't an unreasonable request. Maybe better luck next time. read more

Started frequenting this bar a couple months ago and now a group of us come most Wednesdays for trivia. It's usually pretty full, but the service is fantastic. We are always checked on often. Our favorite appetizers are the wings, mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers. We didn't love the nachos or the poutine. We felt both were a bit low on toppings. The burgers, fish and chips and shepherds pie are fantastic. The pizza is a bit soggy but still enjoyable. Good selection of beers. They do have some outdoor seating and an ATM available inside. read more

The interior décor is great; definitely feels like a classic, cozy neighborhood Irish pub. Many TVs make for a good sports bar atmosphere as well. The food is decent quality and reasonably priced; definitely not in any running for best food in Chicago, but it's consistently good. I wouldn't recommend any of the mac options though; for being a place that has so many mac options, the several I've tried have all been extremely bland. Service is occasionally hit or miss, but I'm often there for a game, so time hasn't been an issue. I'd definitely go back read more

Good ass drinks and grub. It's not strictly an Irish pub because the menu has some American stuff but it certainly feels and looks like it. The Irish Nobleman is a great place for watching a game or a match. Also of course it's crazy for the Irish holidays. The crazy guys like to hit this place hard and leave chaos in their wakes. Beer and liquor is the main thing here. If you really want something to eat, it's not too bad for grub at an Irish pub. There's much worse. Of course there's more than Jameson. When it's hot, why not cool off with a Slushie? It's $5 as is. They also can add alcohol for a price. As for the food, I haven't found that much good. The thing I got the last time was the Chips And Salsa. It's $6 for a moderate amount. The chips actually weren't greasy, and the salsa had a mild spice. Fun times to be had. It often has something going on. Trivia night is one of the favorites here, usually on Wednesdays. read more

We had fantastic time sitting on the patio here at Irish Nobleman this evening! Ordered the Chicken Hash special and Western burger, they were both delicious. Everything about this neighborhood spot is incredible. We had the best service from Shawn and enjoyed the music and the bags set nearby. We will def be back! Can't wait! read more

$11 is what a Guinness cost on tap! We went for the Bears game on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered four Guinness' and the bill came out to $51 plus tip. We asked the bartender and server about the cost and they said that's the price every day. There aren't prices on the drinks menu - $11+ for a mass market draft beer is absurd. read more

I've tried this place a few times because the location is convenient and the servers are nice. But the food is really just bad. The burgers, which they claim are "fresh from the local butcher" are pretty much flavorless - it's no wonder that they pile toppings on them. The pizza is an abomination that should be removed from the menu. The fish and chips, allegedly made with Guinness, is fine. If you can handle the gaudy decor and are in the area and want a beer, this place is fine. But really why? There are plenty of other better options within a couple of blocks in every direction. read more

Reviews seem to be either 5 start or 1 star. I sorta get it. Definitely a neighborhood bar feel. Lots of regulars, lots of "everyone knows your name" type vibe (millennials, that a Cheers reference). Very Chicago. Place filled up super quick. 715pm, I was one of 4 people in the place...by 745 there wasnt an open table or bar stool. Lots of beers on the menu (draft and bottle/can) We enjoyed Guinness...which came in a room temp glass as God intended. Menu was pretty substantial; tavern grub (mac and cheese + burgers) but offered specials (chicken cous cous). The most disappointing part was the service. I'm not sure if our server was new (he seemed to be confused with menu items...we had to repeat and point with each item). Service was also pretty slow. Maybe it's because we were the only table he had in the main bar space and we were in the corner...? The burger (I ordered the western burger with a side salad) and my husband got the Leprechaun Mac and Cheese. Both meals were excellent. I would post a pic, but the lighting is super green and we were right next to the glow of Golden Tee. Would totally venture here again, but probs not on a Friday night. read more

I met up with some friends here this past weekend to watch a game and had a good time. The only down side of things is that they were out of a few drink selections that we asked for which was a bummer. However our waitress was very thoughtful and offered a few other selections that were similar to what we were looking for. Definitely didn't disappoint. I don't remember her name, she had red highlights. We appreciate her help and look forward to stopping in again. read more

The worst food to value I've had in years. Over $13 for a burger with no fries? $8 for 5 tiny jalapeño poppers that were smaller than any popper I've ever seen. Fish and Chips with 2 pieces of fish that are 3 inches long??? Everything was ridiculously overpriced and poorly made. There was NO fish on the batter! It was horrible. read more

I had my 30th birthday party at the Irish Nobleman this past weekend and had an absolute blast! This was the perfect place for an event like that. We got the side section of the bar all to ourself and had 2 bartenders coming around taking drink orders from everyone for around 5.5(!!) hours! At its peak we had around 35/40 people there having a fantastic time. The addition of touch tunes allowed everyone to play the music they wanted to hear throughout the entire night. It was so much fun! Shawn was our bartender and he was fantastic! He was working hard taking drink orders from everyone the whole time and didn't slow down once. He even brought over a Modelo with a birthday candle on it which was awesome! Thank you Shawn for making the event run so smoothly! I highly recommend having an event at the Irish Nobleman! Pizza is fantastic (think cheese-pull) and their selection of beers seltzers and ciders is impressive for a place this size! Our server, Shawn, was so attentive and covered all the menus for us! Came to the Irish Nobleman Pub during the latest bout of below freezing temps in Chicago mid-polar-vortex. First, we were just so happy they were even open! We were getting a little stir crazy, so we walked over. Shawn greeted us at the door and since it was so cold he seated us in front of the cozy fireplace the rest of our time here was excellent. Shawn read us the specials, let us know his recommendations, and they were spot on! He stopped over plenty of times to make sure we had absolutely everything we needed and was so lovely to chat with. The pub is such a cornerstone of the neighborhood, and people like Shawn and the wonderful food will keep us coming back for years to come. read more

Hot as hell in there. Coors light from tasted off. Bartender was brief but nice. We only had a drink so that's all I can contribute for this place. I came for the outdoor setup but I never found one so I think the pictures are from during Covid when the streets were blocked for restaurants. read more

Stopped in The Irish Nobleman on Saint Patrick's day weekend. They were in the Irish spirt. Had a fantastic time with friends. It was crowded, the staff found us a table and was able to promptly provide beverages. We tried the corn beef special, it was outstanding. Can't wait to make another visit. read more

I really like this neighborhood vibe. First off, a perfect casual date spot & here is why. I love beer, and my GF doesn't. However, there is an ice cream window where she got her dessert as I got more beer!! I came on a Wednesday evening (7/28/2021) thinking trivia is back, but sadly it wasn't. So I stayed anyway. You order everything through your phone. Also, service kind of slow, but there was only 1 server at the time. Anyways, everything a la carte, so I opted out of fries with my burger, but man, sometimes the best food is found at the local mom/pop joints! I think Au Cheval is overrated, and my favorite burger ever was at Lockdown before they shut down. These meat sandwiches were the closest to my burger at Lockdown. Holy cow they were good. We ordered the Wisco, where you can literally use the cheese melt off with the thousand island dressing, and the Western, that was topped with 3 or 4 onion rings. My opinion the Wisco was wildly better. Holy cow! No fries were needed. Also, the fish n chips WERE huge! For the price you pay, this was the largest serving of fish n chips I have seen...even compared to Florida. Overall, they have a large outdoor section that extended into the street. Fun Irish Pub with outdoor seating. The outdoor booths are large enough for 8 people so one of the few places we could all go together. Had on Women's NCAA final four basketball games so was a great spot for us. Made an amazing Irish coffee which really hit the spot on a blustery spring night. read more

Love coming here for Sunday football! Great area to sit outside and they always have fun seasonal decorations. I mainly just order appetizers but do enjoy their sweet potato fries and tons of sauce options (aioli 10/10). So many other choices, take the manager's suggestion and go someplace else.

Unfortunately, the mac and cheese was also lukewarm, although the fries were piping hot. We've been here many times before, especially during the holidays, and it has never disappointed us. Maybe this was just an off night, with some of the dishes not coming out as hot or fresh as they should have been. We'll come back and give it another try the next time we're in the area.

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. I went to Chicago once with my two former best friends. I knew them for 15 years but the things that happened on this trip can never be forgotten. We stayed in and Air BNB across the street from this bar and so this was our go to for brunch, pregaming, and shots of Malort. By Sunday morning my liver had fully quit. With a checkout time of 10AM, my friends had no choice but to drag my lifeless corpse across the street and prop me up on a barstool with an old mop and 4 zip ties. Let me tell you about my best friend, Latoya. My savior. My muse. The love of my life. My siren on a foggy morning, guiding my helpless vessel towards solidarity. She actually allowed us in before they were open. I believe she could smell our shame and she didn't have it in her heart to leave a couple dogs trembling in the street. Her hospitality in my time of need made Mother Theresa look like a heartless troglodyte. She fed us. She nurtured us. She even played cards against humanity with us. I dont know if I'll even make it back to Chicago. In fact I might not survive through the end of today. But if by some miracle I do, I will absolutely be coming back to this bar just to see Latoya. 10/10 stars for this hidden gem. For those of us who live in the area, this is without a doubt our spot! I've lived nearby for a few years now and everyone loves this place, never had a bad experience. Great location on a quiet block with FREE street parking - can't beat it. The food is very very good compared to some other bars nearby as well. There is always something fun going on there too, ESPECIALLY during the summer when the patio is open. They do various contests (the most recent was a costume contest for pups), they'll have every major sporting event on the TVs, and they even do Karaoke and Trivia nights during the week which are super fun. Very pet friendly with water and treats up front, along with special pup cups in the back. Also, the exterior is always decorated based on the seasons/holidays so it's very aesthetic. Fantastic bartenders and servers with excellent service. Kelly, one of the bartenders, is easily one of the best bartenders I've come across in the city, he's the man around here! The Irish Nobleman is the definition of the perfect neighborhood bar. The staff and owners are always friendly, making you feel like family. Tucked away in a cute neighborhood they always have great music, sporting events playing on tvs and the food is exceptional for a bar, I suggest trying the burgers a personal favorite of mine. Just like all restaurants feeling the stress of the economic burden we are in, their drink prices have increased since covid, this is not in light of the owner trying to make an extra buck, this is an increase in food and beer costs from distributors. Those complaining on previous posts about increased prices need to realize this is happening across the board, not just at Irish Nobleman - have you even gone to the grocery store or get gas recently?! I believe in supporting local establishments especially those that give back to the community like Irish Nobleman, I highly suggest checking it out if you are in the area, it wont disappoint! read more

The management (skinny guy) is horrible and told us to get out! The moral of the story I want to make it short and sweet and brief because it was horrible the service was horrible I got yelled at because I was trying to find a knife to cut my burger dancing and a very happy mood and one of the managers yelled at me and told me to put my mask on, which I did. Then the another manager comes over and say, " you need to leave" "we ask why "and they said, "just leave". tje bartender wrote it down, she wrote our order down, she got it completely wrong we waited 20 minutes for our drinks. The moral of the story is that my friend and I walked in do you have a nice dinner we found a table inside the bar area because they were parties going on outside, we asked the bartender Brittne if we could sit here and order to her. I'm giving this place one star because you have to to write a review. I've never used yelp but felt compelled as this place has broken a lot of neighborhood hearts. I've lived in noble square for 10+ years and have given this bar a fair share of opportunities but really what a waste?! They advertise $5 Jameson but rarely have it in stock. Recently they had 5 of 10 kegs tapped because they ran out of product. I was told a new draft line was coming in but has been in the same state for over 2 months. There's always a new bartender (I know turnovers rough but woof) they must hire their whole staff from Craigslist. I'll give them a few points in the food factor...barely, menus better but terribly inconsistent. No joke 2 of the 3 last visits I had the burden of listening to what I believe was the owner and his girlfriend yelling at each other in front of customers...can it get worse? I've been to this restaurant a few times and it's one of the best hidden gems in the neighborhood. There is a beautiful outdoor area, very dog friendly, and the clientele is very courteous. The staff is the best, Shawn is a class act, super friendly and attentive and makes you feel like you are family. This is a quintessential neighborhood Chicago Irish bar. In addition to the great food and service, the foliage and ambiance is among the best I've ever seen. The owner personally takes care of a plethora of beautiful plants that surround the outdoor patio. The patio has plenty of TV's to watch sports and is such a great hang out spot. This place has both a chill traditional Irish pub feel in the front, and more of a restaurant in the backroom. I'd say it's great spot for casual dinners, dates or just hanging at the bar. I had the black bean burger which was an awesomely-unusually very big size with corn, black beans, and a little kick of spice to it. Very good burger. And the parmesan fries with garlic could have maybe used a little more cheese and some salt but were super tastly on top of being cooked crispy good. My fiancé planned a surprise party for me after our engagement and it was THE BEST. Shaun took care of us and was so attentive and friendly. Everyone always had a drink in their hands, the appetizers were amazing and it was the perfect way to celebrate with such a big group. We've lived in the neighborhood for years and it's been our go-to spot. The food is delish, the drinks are great and it's such a perfect bar to hang-out or watch sports. The Irish Nobleman was set for a fun party and Irish pub decor perfect for a sandwich and Guinness (the Pinot Noir was delish too) but they did have a larger menu with lots of options that made it difficult to choose. Amazing place to get the good eats and drinks! Despite being in the middle of this covid mess, they have an outdoor patio set up with heaters to keep you warm as the weather cools. I've watched this bar evolve and change this year numerous times. Each time it's improved and fought to survive with customer safety at the forefront. Clear signs and floor markers, outdoor contactless ordering, and employees were masked and gloved. The holiday display is really spectacular and the pop up market. We had an amazing time for St. Patrick's Day. The owners are the sweetest couple and so friendly, they made our entire group feel so incredibly welcome. We celebrated my husband's retirement here last night. This was a perfect spot for us. We were looking for something casual for a group of twenty or so. He said no, and it became very clear why we were being turned away. Little fella was trembling while arguing with us. Bad vibes, poorly trained employees, and hate in their hearts!

I have come here many times, they have great Amish Chicken tenders, good burgers, during Oktoberfest they had a great menu highlighting German cuisine and extra large beers. They have a great southwest style salad and adding shrimp is a great option! They have great beer, better service, good hot sauce, and a nice vibe.

There was a birthday party on the patio with food, but we stayed inside and watched the many tvs with many sports (ok it was Saturday so mostly college football. No baseball, but apparently Baywatch is a thing with them?) I got beer, my party got a vodka martini. The bartenders were friendly and informative. There was a pool table but it was covered. The restrooms were clean and functional, but then it was only 6pm! The atmosphere was chill until we paid our bill and saw the bus outside. The birthday party people were coming in at the same time so it was a little hectic with 2 bartenders. I asked the bartender about the free drinks, he told me the bus driver would have them. I asked the bus driver, he said he had no tickets. The person checking in the Red Stars game arrive, and after we were confirmed, we were told the only thing we could take on the bus was something on draft/tap. We got beer, and had to get a plastic cup. This pushed us to leave late, past the 6:30 time, but it was ok, only about 8-10 of us anyway. When we came back after the game, and live band was playing inside. I'd go back if I were in the area. If the Red Stars make the playoffs, they might broadcast them from there. They are not far from AMC CityNorth 14, so a quick drink there before/after a movie would be the plan.
