Sidewalk outside back patio

We loved this place because it was cozy, homey and clean. Loved that we were right on the river where you could feed the mallard ducks. Loved the furnishings and comfortable beds and wood floors. I highly recommend.

I so wish we could have stayed in Pigeon Forge longer - because The Inn was lovely! We only stayed one night, passing through on our way from NC to IA, and stopped over to visit a dear friend. The Inn was one of the best places we have laid our heads. The beds were super comfortable, the linen very soft, the decor was absolutely gorgeous, the rain shower head was heavenly, and the breakfast was exceptional. Hell, even their trash bins outside were decorative! The staff was also very friendly, but then it seems like everyone we came in contact with in TN was friendly. What a wonderful place to visit. I didn't get to walk the river myself, but my sister did and really enjoyed it. We know there is so much to see and do in the area, we want to make our way back there some day. The Inn will definitely be our first choice to stay.

A goose saying hi. Don't worry it was at a safe distance from pecking me.

The Inn on the River's location is a perfect spot right on the main drag. The hallways are cute (but a bit hot in our floor) and the main lobby area where they have breakfast and free popcorn and drinks in the evening is also very nice. Our ice machine was inoperable on the 4th floor, but the front desk was quick to provide ice when asked. There's an indoor pool and an outdoor pool that give you the opportunity to soak up the sun or get a little shade if needed. The rooms were clean and accommodating and the beds were comfortable. The full breakfast was a nice touch, but the repeated offerings of sausage did get a little stale. The links were a little overcooked and the biscuit gravy was definitely a pass. While the hotel is clean, and the accommodations are nice, it is the service that makes me want to come back. All the employees are friendly, willing to give you a recommendation to eat, and share their thoughts of attractions in the area. The room rates were extremely affordable, they have a rewards Club that makes it more affordable the next time you come back, and it's definitely worth staying here if you want to enjoy the Smoky Mountains, Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg. If you prefer to just relax at the Inn, and maybe say high to the local geese from the fenced patio overlooking the river, you can't go wrong here.

It was nice. Check in was fast, the pool is great. Breakfast was filling and good! Lots of places to sit. Decor was welcoming in the lobby. The room was clean!

Such a beautiful place! I'm so glad I picked this place for our first stay in pigeon forge. They have a food dispenser for the ducks and geese which was a huge hit with my grandson. The complimentary breakfast was awesome as well. We will definitely be back!!

The perfect stay! We visited Labor Day weekend, August 31-September 2, 2019. Location is on the main strip and close driving to all the main attractions. Staff was very friendly and inviting. Hotel was clean and has many perks, including popcorn, coffee, tea and water in the lobby at all times. We didn't have time to get in the pool but there's two, one indoor and one outdoor. Both looked clean and several families were there having fun. Breakfast was really good; eggs, link sausage, potatoes, biscuits, toast, gravy, oatmeal, cereal and many juices, made to order waffles too. I really enjoyed having breakfast outside under the pavilion by the river. There's a fire pit too! (Some Yelp pictures appear to be before pavilion was built, as in some pictures there's a patio with umbrellas but it's actually a really nice covered area with plenty of dining seating as well as rockers facing the river. Very nice area) There are gum ball type machines by the path to the river that has food to feed the ducks, (25 cents, bring quarters). There were a few ducks hanging around in the river during breakfast so after breakfast we walked down to feed them. The night before we noticed many, MANY geese in the water sleeping right outside our room (we were room 308). Very cool to see so many. We'll definitely stay here again, looking forward to it!

Top notch place. Awesome customer service and nice amenities like pop corn and sweet tea. Also super relaxing and clean. I'd come back here for sure.

I went in hopeful and we left completely convinced. This place didn't just meet expectations, it blew straight through them. The Inn is Christmas 24/7, 365 days a year, and somehow it never feels cheesy or forced which is kinda the magic here. What could easily have been a kitschy, Vegas-style Pigeon Forge gimmick is elevated into something genuinely special by the level of service and attention to detail. From the moment you check in, you realize this isn't just a theme -- it's a fully realized experience tucked into the Appalachian Mountains. The service alone deserves serious recognition. Every interaction felt intentional, warm, and unhurried. Staff members weren't just polite, they were present, attentive without hovering, joyful without being performative. If Michelin gave Key Awards for hotels here, this place would be a lock based on service alone. Then there's the feeling of it all. Staying here feels like waking up on Christmas morning at your grandmother's house.. that safe, cozy, nostalgic joy where nothing is rushed and everything is allowed to be wonderful. You can roam the hotel in your pajamas, and no one looks at you twice. It's not weird, it's encouraged. You just roll out of bed, head downstairs for biscuits and gravy, hang out with Santa, drink your body weight in hot apple cider, and let every worry slowly melt away. The outdoor hot tub seriously sealed the deal for me. Steam rising into the mountain air, lights glowing, Christmas music softly humming in the background.. it's the kind of moment that makes you forget what day it is, what month it is, and why you ever let yourself get stressed in the first place. This is easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and not just because of the theme. The Inn at Christmas Place succeeds because it understands something simple and rare: atmosphere means nothing without genuine hospitality. Here, you get both in abundance. If you love Christmas, travel, or just the idea of feeling like a kid again, this is an easy recommendation. Not just for the holidays, but any time of year you need a reminder of how good it feels to slow down, be cozy, and let yourself enjoy something unapologetically joyful.

If you love Christmas this is the place to stay! Well kept hotel and the staff are very friendly…read more The decor is beautiful and the pool is idyllic. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Every interaction was genuinely friendly, fun, and welcoming. The rooms are a good size with an indoor fireplace that adds a nice touch and large bathrooms. They have outdoor balconies overlooking the shopping area or river - which was great for seeing nature (geese, beavers, herons). Facilities are nice with a good sized gym and large rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking the Ferris wheel. The roof has plenty of lounge chairs and the chill bar with great staff that will bring your orders (food included) to your chair. The hotel is pet-friendly and has an indoor fireplace-house restaurant and bar (Fins) with an outdoor patio. It also has an onsite Starbucks. While pricey, the amenities, room size, great staff, and location made it worth it! We've already started talking about our next visit!

Head to Gatlinburg and stay at the Margaritaville Resort…read more This hotel has seen better days. We had a basic room with two queens overlooking the creek. The bathroom had a vent with tons of rust, the paint was chipped all over the walls. Beat up and scuffed furniture. The patios were sad and depressing. The patio door was broken and did not lock. The view is "sad creek with creepy parking lot." The hotel also gives a complimentary margarita coupon to guests. We do not drink alcohol. When I went to the bar I asked the manager if we could trade it in for a non-alcoholic margarita or NA beer and they said no, only alcoholic margaritas. How ridiculous! Not even a freaking mocktail margarita! After staying at the Gatlinburg resort property this was a huge let down. We have since learned they are two different franchise owners. Suffice to say, we were going to stay two nights. We paid for two and after one night we left and booked a room at the Gatlinburg location instead. That's how bad it was.

Wowowowow, where do I start?!…read more Pigeon Forge is a mountainous Vegas-like touristy town. There are tons of hotels, some are great and others...not so much. Those great hotels are often going to cost a pretty penny while those more affordable ones are going to be a bit rough around the edges. So where can you stay in Pigeon Forge that isn't going to hurt the bank account while giving you a relaxing stay? Well look no further...Twin Mountain Inn & Suites is excellent AND affordable! I'm a Hotels member and when I saw Twin Mountain Inn and Suites' 5 star reviews, I was curious, especially because at the time, the rates were about $97/night AND pets are only $20/night. Not only that, the room had a river view with a balcony, fireplace, and free parking. Now, I've kept this hotel on the backburner on my account. Last time we visited Pigeon Forge, we stayed at Drury and spent so much more on a "Mountain View" that overlooked the parking structure. So, this time, I decided to go with my instinct and book with Twin Mountain. Boy, am I glad we did!! We stayed on the third floor. Don't let the cover of a book fool you. The parking is easy but can get full pretty quickly, true. However, the room was probably on of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure (albeit, no conditioner or body wash-just a small packaged bar of soap. There were two small bottles of shampoo). There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I also liked that there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside of it (vanity). This was convenient for two people. The AC/heater was powerful, too. The fireplace is timed and creates a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the river was peaceful and there were two plastic chairs and a little table out there to sit and enjoy the view of ducks and geese. Twin Mountain Inn and Suites is close to the strip but away from the flashing lights and noise. It's a great location! Breakfast is included and had biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, sausage, fruit, cereal, and one waffle maker. There's fresh coffee and a juice machine, too. It was a tight squeeze as it was very busy for 7:30am so I decided to get one biscuit and gravy, two sausages, and a yogurt to take back to the room, which were all very good. There's a drink vending machine outside of the lobby and one near the parking lot. The elevator was convenient and they also had luggage trolleys, too. This was an outstanding stay for one night and I wish it had been longer. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for your next stay in Pigeon Forge.

We didn't hardly have any toilet paper because apparently they didn't put new rolls in our room and our soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotions were really low and empty when we left. The indoor pool was really small. We didn't use the outdoor pool but it is shared with another hotel which I found ridiculous because it is fairly small itself. The breakfast was really good though!
