Left side has resistance bands! Can't see them in this photo, but I promise they're there!

TownePlace Suites is one of the newer hotel additions to Pigeon Forge. It opened just two months in mid-June! Ample parking in their lot. Staff were friendly and helpful. [+1 star] Room was very spacious. As expected, the room and bathroom were clean. Appliances, cutlery, plates and drink ware inside the room were also clean! The room was made and towels were changed out without us having to ask, which was nice bc most hotels require a request for towels or for the room to be made post-Covid. Shower pressure was also nice. The beds were very comfortable. Side tables had multiple outlets and even one for USB-C to C! [+1 star] There's a gym with modern equipment. 4 treadmills, 2 bikes, 2 ellipticals, 1 multi-function trainer, free weights with 2 benches, kettlebells, medicine balls, and yoga/ exercise balls. There were also extras that not every hotel gym has that I was surprised to see here! The first being a weight scale !!! As someone who travels and uses hotel gyms often, I don't see many places have this. Second, was a leg press machine - a pleasant surprise to see for sure. Third was a foam roller (which took me a minute to see bc it was hidden by the kettlebells). Lastly, there were resistance bands - another pleasant surprise to see. Something to note: It was spacious enough to not feel crowded when there were 3-4 people (including me) on the left side of the room using the cardio machines. If there were people using the benches too, I feel like it would it too crowded to lay a mat down to do stretches. [+0.5 star] The pool was great! Very big for a hotel pool and warm. There was even a waterfall structure in the middle. Lounge chairs and with separate tables with umbrella shade were offered as well. Another unexpected surprise was that they had 2 grills AND a firepit. But they did NOT have a hot tub!! [+0.5 star] Hot breakfast included. Not as expansive for items offered compared to other hotels. This hotel offers DIY waffles (with one regular press and one mini press), bagels, sliced bread, scones, cereal and milk, yogurt, oatmeal with various toppings, juices from a dispenser, and fresh fruit. Now that we've gone through all the awesome things that this hotel offers, let's talk about a couple of things that I think can be improved upon. [-0.5 star] Air conditioning in the room (when it was on) was really loud. You can control it with high or low button settings. We had it on high and it was just too loud, so we turned it to low. It would turn off when the desired temperature was reached. Then it would turn back on when the the room fell out of the desired temp. In doing so, it would make a very loud noise! If you're a light sleeper (like my SO), it can be hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. [-0.5 star] On the first morning of our stay on Sunday, we made our way down to the breakfast area at 8am. I went to make my waffle and when that was done, I made my way to find the bananas. Staff said they ran out! Keep in mind that breakfast only started at 7am! On Monday, we came down for breakfast when they first opened at 6am. I immediately asked where the fresh fruit was and the worker said they have not restocked and will not restock for the day. That was a big disappointment. If people can't have the rest of the carb heavy items offered at breakfast, fresh fruit would have been the one of the limited only things they could have. At breakfast, plates and bowls were the disposable kind. Utensils were plastic. Took away from the nice vibe of the hotel and took it down a notch in my book. But easier for clean up I suppose. With all that being said, the pluses outweigh the negatives to me. You have to decide for yourselves what's best for you. For me, TownePlace Suites was good enough for what I prioritize in a stay, and I'll definitely be back!

Upon our arrival we were greeted by friendly staff that helped us check in and arranged to have our baggage taken up to our room. They do offer valet parking and complementary self parking. They have an indoor pool, outdoor pool, fire pits, arcade, gym, spa, and even complementary s'mores in the evening. The service and staff were all wonderful! You get free preferred parking at Dollywood and timesavers for everyone in your party. 5/5 Star experience - we will 100% stay here next time we are in the area.

The resort is in the mountains, a few minutes from Dollywood. It's clean and rustic but elegant - think Dolly Parton's style and touch. It's family oriented so it's cozy, not really flashy. I bet during the holidays (now) placed is decked out. Kudos to the staff. From checking in, to dining all the way the family activities (smores), everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely warm making people feel welcome. Service wasn't feigned or scripted - it was real and even when it was busy, the staff took care of business. Room was comfortable and clean. Not extravagant - think Southern charm. Bathroom wasn't cramped, water pressure good and temperature nice and hot. Quiet (we had a corner room) and we couldn't hear anything. Not even when neighbors opening or closing their door. Even had a workspace if you were working while you were supposed to be on vacation. Amenities included shuttle to and from the park. Pool and Spa (didn't partake). Went to the bar/restaurant - see other review and an on site convenience store. Free parking. I'm sure there are more but that's just all that comes to mind because we were for the park. That's also in another review. Anyway - to sum it up, it's not quite a luxury resort - but a place that offers heartfelt comfort wrapped in Southern Hospitality. If you know Dolly's story, it kinda captures her spirit - warm, sincere and touches of joy. It's a definite "yes" if I needed to pick a place to stay when back in that area, even if I weren't going to the park.

The bathroom had a vent with tons of rust, the paint was chipped all over the walls. Beat up and scuffed furniture. The patios were sad and depressing. The patio door was broken and did not lock. The view is "sad creek with creepy parking lot." The hotel also gives a complimentary margarita coupon to guests. We do not drink alcohol. When I went to the bar I asked the manager if we could trade it in for a non-alcoholic margarita or NA beer and they said no, only alcoholic margaritas. How ridiculous! Not even a freaking mocktail margarita! After staying at the Gatlinburg resort property this was a huge let down. We have since learned they are two different franchise owners. Suffice to say, we were going to stay two nights. We paid for two and after one night we left and booked a room at the Gatlinburg location instead. That's how bad it was.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Every interaction was genuinely friendly, fun, and welcoming. The rooms are a good size with an indoor fireplace that adds a nice touch and large bathrooms. They have outdoor balconies overlooking the shopping area or river - which was great for seeing nature (geese, beavers, herons). Facilities are nice with a good sized gym and large rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking the Ferris wheel. The roof has plenty of lounge chairs and the chill bar with great staff that will bring your orders (food included) to your chair. The hotel is pet-friendly and has an indoor fireplace-house restaurant and bar (Fins) with an outdoor patio. It also has an onsite Starbucks. While pricey, the amenities, room size, great staff, and location made it worth it! We've already started talking about our next visit!

Got there around 10:00 and the room was ready. Great! Got to room and it was pretty small and filthy (table had crumbs/sticky, not vacuumed etc). Went back to the front desk and she offered to switch to same room for no charge or upgrade to a slightly bigger room for $20/night. We opted for that option since as a family of four, more space is worth the cost for us. We got to that room and again, not the cleanest and there was pubic hairs on the bathroom floor which basically sealed the deal mentally nothing good would happen. Because this was a timeshare offer we called them and finally after we left and had lunch they just put us in another room. They did refund the $60 and gave us three breakfast vouchers for each day but even this room was not clean to what "Hilton" standards should be even though the manager walked through the room personally. In the end, this made it very easy to say no to the timeshare presentation as their excuse was Hilton bought the property just a year ago so they aren't all up to standard yet. The lobby was beautiful, the pool area looked nice but my kids said the water was freezing. I would never pay for the $17 dollar breakfast as it's basically the same free stuff you get at every other hot continental breakfast. Basically, you couldn't pay me to stay here again.

It definitely delivers on the cozy atmosphere and river views -- and yes, there are plenty of geese to remind you you're by the water! Check-in was seamless, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. They have a nice 24/7 drink bar with instant coffee and tea, plus another bar with juice and tea options during breakfast and again in the evenings (7-10). Small touches like that were a nice surprise. As for the room, it was a good size and overall comfortable. The beds were great, though I did notice housekeeping service declined a bit as the week went on. Towels varied in softness, and the complimentary toiletries were below average -- I'd recommend bringing your own. For a listed 3-star hotel, I'd rate it closer to 2.5 stars. The property is clean and cozy, but for the price point, it could use a few tune-ups. That said, I'd stay here again, especially if you're traveling with family or kids. The pool and hot tub area are nice, and the continental breakfast was fairly decent. Tip: If you're staying on the first floor near rooms 110-120, you might want to request a different area unless you're an early riser -- hallway noise can be noticeable from people coming and going in the morning.

Wowowowow, where do I start?!…read more Pigeon Forge is a mountainous Vegas-like touristy town. There are tons of hotels, some are great and others...not so much. Those great hotels are often going to cost a pretty penny while those more affordable ones are going to be a bit rough around the edges. So where can you stay in Pigeon Forge that isn't going to hurt the bank account while giving you a relaxing stay? Well look no further...Twin Mountain Inn & Suites is excellent AND affordable! I'm a Hotels member and when I saw Twin Mountain Inn and Suites' 5 star reviews, I was curious, especially because at the time, the rates were about $97/night AND pets are only $20/night. Not only that, the room had a river view with a balcony, fireplace, and free parking. Now, I've kept this hotel on the backburner on my account. Last time we visited Pigeon Forge, we stayed at Drury and spent so much more on a "Mountain View" that overlooked the parking structure. So, this time, I decided to go with my instinct and book with Twin Mountain. Boy, am I glad we did!! We stayed on the third floor. Don't let the cover of a book fool you. The parking is easy but can get full pretty quickly, true. However, the room was probably on of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure (albeit, no conditioner or body wash-just a small packaged bar of soap. There were two small bottles of shampoo). There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I also liked that there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside of it (vanity). This was convenient for two people. The AC/heater was powerful, too. The fireplace is timed and creates a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the river was peaceful and there were two plastic chairs and a little table out there to sit and enjoy the view of ducks and geese. Twin Mountain Inn and Suites is close to the strip but away from the flashing lights and noise. It's a great location! Breakfast is included and had biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, sausage, fruit, cereal, and one waffle maker. There's fresh coffee and a juice machine, too. It was a tight squeeze as it was very busy for 7:30am so I decided to get one biscuit and gravy, two sausages, and a yogurt to take back to the room, which were all very good. There's a drink vending machine outside of the lobby and one near the parking lot. The elevator was convenient and they also had luggage trolleys, too. This was an outstanding stay for one night and I wish it had been longer. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for your next stay in Pigeon Forge.

True by Hilton is known for being a no-frills less expensive Hilton experience, but our room had a small refrigerator and it was well outfitted . My only complaint.. .zero dressers for storage space. Which made it a little messy, but did not stop staff from picking up after and somehow they made it look fine. Our room was clean and comfortable. AC was pumping and the lobby was clean.
