The view was truly beautiful--we could see the river and the fog covered mountains, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. The price of the room initially enticed us, and in that sense it was probably worth what we paid. However, we were looking forward to using the jacuzzi tub, but after it took nearly an hour to fill, the excitement wore off and we ended up not enjoying it as much as expected. The room temperature was another challenge. The room has a wall AC unit, which we kept set at 66 degrees in February. When the unit cycled off, the room quickly became warm. Since the unit is located in the main room, no cool air reached the bathroom, and it stayed uncomfortably warm. The hallways throughout the hotel were also extremely warm. According to the hotel description, the room was supposed to include a coffeemaker, microwave, and mini refrigerator, but none of these were present. We were also surprised to find that there was no hair dryer provided. The mattress was also a concern--it sagged quite a bit and felt a little lumpy. That said, we still managed to sleep okay. On a positive note, the breakfast was pretty good, and the view from the room really was lovely. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean Overall, the stay had some nice aspects, but the lack of advertised amenities, temperature issues, and slow-filling jacuzzi took away from the experience.

This is one of the highlights of this hotel. The covered parking garage is free and makes life in Gatlinburg less of a hassle as there is no free street parking. Given the hotels location smack in the middle of all the action, you can pretty much walk to all Parkway attractions. Check in. Very easy and pleasant! All front desk workers were kind and polite. The room. It could be better but it could also be a lot worse! Yeah the room was a bit dated and could use a facelift but most importantly it's clean and comfortable. All rooms do have a balcony but my supposed "Mountain View" was a sad view of the parking lot fronted by the butt end of a mountain side. Not really the breathtaking view I had envisioned. But eh! That's what going to the National park is supposed to serve. If the view is important to you, request a city view. Breakfast. Prefacing by saying that any free breakfast is definitely appreciated BUT this leaves a little to be desired. Some more options would be nice. I had expected some muffins, bagels, maybe a waffle machine as well. Continental staples if ya know what I mean. But again, it's enough to satisfy. Facilities. Nice pool deck area with a spa and gym. It was flooded with kids and partiers on the weekend but was calm and quiet for my brief visit on a Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Location. THIS is the real reason to stay at this hotel. It truly doesn't get much better. As noted, all parkway attractions are walkable from here. Even better is the five minute drive to Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Miscellaneous. Okay so pretty much everything about my stay was pleasant but one major complaint I do have here is the noise level. I know that Gatlinburg is somewhat of a party destination but omg the loud music shook my room late at night. The walls are paper thin which is frustrating enough without the added nuisance. The hotel NEEDS some type of policy like no loud music and pool closure at 10pm. Price was pretty much on point with the neighboring hotels so if given my pick of the lot I would choose this place again!

Parking garage is $16 a night, which is doable, but the spaces are so unbelievable small that the driver has to pull out in order for the passenger to be able to get in unless you wanna bump the other car door... Elevator was beyond slow, which we had heard that in reviews... when you have two elevators and 800 rooms that makes sense right. It needs some definite maintenance attention. I told my husband, I'm just going to go with well-known name hotels from now on. And the bathroom door couldn't close tight... the door was too big or lopsided or something..... all in all the carpets in this room need to be cleaned or something there's a definite pee smell! Ice machine out of order... so no we didn't use the ice bucket!

The lodge itself is really beautiful and well built. The solid construction means very quiet rooms. The employees are courteous and helpful, and the place is clean and tidy. My only complaint.....the morning coffee is absolutely the worst tasting coffee I have ever had. It doesn't even taste like coffee. I only have morning coffee, but that one or two cups is important for me. They have Keurig coffee machines in the rooms, but I don't like that plastic, chemical tasting coffee either. They really should change coffee brands and learn how to brew a good pot of coffee! I recommend this lodge for your stay in Gatlinburg.

Room overall was spacious and pretty clean and came with all the features in a standard hotel. The complimentary breakfast was also a nice touch with pancakes, eggs, biscuit sandwiches, yogurts, bagels, cereal and a coffee and tea station. There was also a fire pit outside which seemed to be crowded whenever we wanted to go sit by the fire. Downtown Gatlinburg was only a 15min walk away and Pigeon Forge was about a 5 mile car ride away. There is also a trolley with a stop right in front of the hotel which can take you to either location. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here!

The room itself is large but the extra space in the living room makes it so easy to use as a prep spot for my snowboarding gear before heading to the mountain. I routinely arrive late at night and never have a problem when it comes to checking in past 11pm. The overnight shift front desk is always friendly and fast and the rooms are always spotless. It is a little off the beaten path compared to other accommodations closer to local attractions.

We had some issues with the pullout couches sheets with urine stains and other stains on pillows sheets. Even though they did some adjustments for us, I still couldn't help but constantly think if my sheets are cleaned and towels. Spoke with the MOD and seemed like she didn't care, she was like we already made adjustments to the stay like that should be enough. No apologies about the inconveniences. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews and a lower rating. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The Creekstone is located at the tail end of the strip going towards Gatlinburg but it's not on the mainstrip part of it is one street away and the other building is across the creek and down a little more. Which means it's in a great location for both places without all the noise of the street. When traveling with kids that's a very nice thing. When I checked in the person at the front desk was super helpful and nice. My husband and son were coming later and my 7 month old daughter and I were checking in early. He explained that we were in the second building the one across the creek and down a little and how to get there. So we checked in grabbed our keys and headed out. Found the other building super easy and started to unload. This was where we had the only problem the whole stay. We got to the room, she was cranky due to nap time and I couldn't open the door. The light turned green but the door wouldn't budge. Luckily, I had seen some housekeeping personnel on the first floor, so I went down for help. The person, who I assumed to be the manager came up with me and it was a simple issue. The handles on some of the doors were opposite. The handle needed to be lifted up instead of pushed down. Quirky yes, but not bad. The room was clean and spacious with a separate area for when my son came. It was nice we weren't on top of each other. Each room had a balcony facing the creek and you can watch the ducks and geese and little critters from your balcony. My son was super happy to spot what we thought to be a little muskrat hanging out down below. Breakfast is offered daily from 7-10. They have a variety of things from hot to cold items, such as eggs sausages and waffles along with cereal, yogurt and fruit. Plus other things too. Between all of us we probably sampled the mass majority of it. It was all good. It was hot and fresh and honestly a lot better than I expected. For me this place was an unexpected gem. Everyone who I met with, or asked for help from was super kind and helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and quiet. Yes, if you are in the second building you have to drive for the breakfast that's included, but, that second building is gold. It's quiet with no street noise, just the creek if you opened the door. The beds were great, though I did notice housekeeping service declined a bit as the week went on. Towels varied in softness, and the complimentary toiletries were below average -- I'd recommend bringing your own. For a listed 3-star hotel, I'd rate it closer to 2.5 stars. The property is clean and cozy, but for the price point, it could use a few tune-ups. That said, I'd stay here again, especially if you're traveling with family or kids.
