We stayed here for my birthday in late October. The check in staff should be fired. She couldn't find my reservation. I gave her my confirmation number and she said that my name was in there backwards. I am an Honors Member and I have the app so I didn't have to put my name... she never thanked me for being a Honors Member either. She never told me anything. I had to ask how we entered the hotel to access the room. Her little co worker thought it was cute to laugh at me as well. She couldn't even count! She kept saying that we were only there for 2 days! I finally said umm we are here Thursday, Friday, Saturday night that's 3 days. Hotel was clean. The rooms are kinda small and noisy! Our heater wouldn't come on and we had maintenance in and out of our room for over 30 minutes! We didn't hardly have any toilet paper because apparently they didn't put new rolls in our room and our soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotions were really low and empty when we left. The indoor pool was really small. We didn't use the outdoor pool but it is shared with another hotel which I found ridiculous because it is fairly small itself. The breakfast was really good though! I really enjoyed that part of the stay. Although I don't think I would stay here again because of the staff and how noisy the hotel was! It was really hard sleeping in. read more

We love this hotel! We have stayed here multiple times now while visiting Pigeon Forge. The hotel is clean! The pool is shared with the other Hilton next door which is both good and bad. It's a tad small to share in my opinion. The rooms are fairly specious. Breakfast options are okay... nothing special or amazing. Pretty sub-par. It is a perfect location in Pigeon Forge! There are several problems with this hotel. The rooms are noisy. You hear EVERYTHING going on in other rooms. The bed frames have angled wood instead of rounded wood and the mattress is too small for the frame. This means that when you sit down on the mattress to get dressed your legs get a sharp edge. The wood sticks out several inches beyond the mattress. There's no realistic way to avoid hurting yourself. The wallpaper is falling off the walls in the bathrooms. The light blocking blind would not cover the last six inches of the window no matter what you try. The shower valves were clearly broken sometime in the past and fixed not with the same parts, but with a hex bolt. Going back to the bed, there is no box spring - just the mattress on the wrong sized frame. I found the bed uncomfortable. Find someplace else to stay. read more

giving it a two bc it was overall a decent hotel but we had the worst experience with Guyan or whatever her name is at the front desk night shift. Horrible employee, doesn't know what she's doing. There was a mess up on her end and she tried to charge me twice for a room even though I was already checked in on the Hilton app and had a key and room number. We were there for a wedding and she refused to give us the welcome bags and later called the room saying we can pick it up after she "talked to the bride" which she didn't bc the bride told us she wasn't even called. She wasn't pleasant at all and had horrible customer service. Yall need to get her out of there. read more

If you are just looking for somewhere to stay a night or two this place is fine. The rooms are clean and the free breakfast is good. It is close to all attractions and restaurants. If you are staying a week look elsewhere. The rooms are more like an efficiency. Not much room between the beds and no drawers for clothes or a closet. Just a fee shelves. This is a minimalist, new, modern no frills place to stay. Convenient location and a couple blocks off the main highway so nice and quiet. This personally is best for an overnight stay. If I had to stay a few nights I'd probably look for a different brand. This is probably now the low brand for Hilton, they are nice because most are fairly new. The bad thing is, this is our 4th Tru we have stayed at and all have really cheap mattresses. Big difference between a Tru bed and other Hilton Brand beds. 3 stars as they just fall in the middle. There is a pool area that looks to be shared with the Home2 Suites and I did see an EV hook up in the Home2 Suites right adjacent to this one. read more

Going downhill... fast. I'm giving it 2 stars because the bed was comfortable and the linen seemed to be clean. However, the toilet seat was broken, the wall paper was falling off of the wall, and there was a swath of rust flowing down the shower wall into the tub. We went for breakfast in the morning, the bits and pieces of bacon in the mostly empty container were sitting in grease covering about half of what was lying in the bottom and there were no eggs. I reported all of these things to the manager and her response was, "I'm sorry you feel that way." How did this become something about feelings? Not very happy on the way out for sure. read more

I am a lifetime Diamond member and choose this hotel as I needed the ability to charge my EV during my stay with my family. Upon arrival (5 pm), I noticed that 1 of the EV Chargers was out of order. The other EV Charger had 2 gas engine cars in the parking spaces, so I was unable to charge. I mentioned this to the front desk and they said they would take care of this. At 9:30 pm, both the same gas cars were still parked in the EV charging spaces. I mentioned this again to the front desk and they said they would take care of this. I informed the front desk if this wasn't taken care of I would call the police and file a complaint for cars parking in restricted parking. At 12:30 am I went back down to the front desk and filed another complaint that the same cars have yet to move. The front desk said they would take care of it. I got a call from the front desk at 1 am, stating the cars would be moved by the owners. By 7 am, the cars were still parked there and not moved. I went back to the front desk and made another complaint. Additionally after reading some reviews of the hotel, the out of order EV Charger has been out of order since April 2024. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. I was lied to by the front desk stating they were taking care of it and 14+ hours after filing my 1st concern, nothing had been done. I don't expect special treatment as a Lifetime Diamond Member, as my ask was reasonable to have 2 cars that were not EV cars to be moved. They should have been towed & fined. I was unable to charge my vehicle and had to drive over 30 minutes to find a charger. read more

I like the tru hotels. They are moderately priced, dog friendly, very modern. and family friendly with pool tables and lots of lounge type seating in the lobby and even a fire pit outside. They have a wonderful hot breakfast in the mornings. The beds are super comfy. The location is within 5 minutes of Dolly wood and the island is just down the street with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Location is great. My only complaint (and it's not even a big complaint) is there must be a little league baseball field or something behind it ( on the hill ) because they start making announcements on the giant speakers early in the morning. On vacation I like to sleep in and found it a bit hard to do with the constant announcements. I bet that's a seasonal issue for summer games and doesn't happen year round. Moved to this hotel after a negative experience at The Hampton Inn PF down the street. It was refreshing to get smiled at and feel welcomed after that debacle. New and fresh hotel feel. Well-appointed amenities. I love the lemon body wash & lotion in bath. Self-serve hot breakfast was nice with plenty of hot and cold options. As an HH Diamond loyal to Hilton who travels frequently to this area, Tru by Hilton Pigeon Forge is now on my go-to hotel list in Pigeon Forge. read more

Recently stayed at Tru by Hilton in Pigeon Forge with family, we went to Dollywood. Pros: Clean rooms. Plenty of parking. Large area downstairs to hangout with family and friends. Room with bunk beds and retro Super Nintendo gaming console for the kids. Cons: No covered drive up to unload and drop off. Second floor hallway and a very stale odor, which then lingered into the room. Ran out of body wash. All in all good value for the money. read more

In town for a wedding, this was our first stay at a Tru hotel. I would say the vibe here is definitely aimed at families with pre-teens and teens. There were lots of spaces for hanging out, foosball tables, computers, big rooftop area with a fire feature. As a hater of carpeting and drapes I found the room to feel cleaner to me than most. The bed was comfortable. There is one chair and narrow roll out table for computing, etc. There was a very small fridge, but no microwave. Liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner are supplied. Despite Covid, a full breakfast buffet was provided. We did not have time to enjoy the inside or outside pool areas, but they looked fantastic. We did enjoy the rooftop deck! My room was a bright and functional room. Trendy with a open concept, no drawers, open closets and shelves so everything is accessible. It was also spotless! On the 6th floor there is a sky deck with a fire pit, Life size connect four and Jenga. There are a lot of comfortable cushioned sofas and chairs. On the first floor is a inside pool with TV, just in case you wanna swim and your football on. Fun! They share the outside pool with home2home next door and it has a adult size slide. The breakfast is self serve and it's included. Plenty of things to top your eggs, oatmeal, yogurt and waffles. There is a beautiful sunroom to eat breakfast in. Love the digital key. Go to breakfast or a out and about with just your phone. No need to remember the key It's super close to the island. Convenient! read more

Nice room views; esp. from the top floors. There's access to a cool roof top viewing deck with lovely Smoky views. Cons: Arbitrary & random dumb C19 requirements that were not safety precautions, but rather, random & repetitive inconveniences. Scent of pet pee in the hall way. Bed platforms creaks everytime you move; so loud wakes you (& your spouse up). Ice Maker turned off so they can charge you for ice bags in the market. Verrrrrry overpriced for a Tru. read more

Stayed here awhile back and loved the ladies that worked the desk in the evening! Samantha and Bethany were the best! They always had a smile on their face and seemed to live working together. I was highly disappointed when I stopped in not that long ago to find out that Bethany no longer was there. Not surprising because I wouldn't want to stick around a place where other employees including managers were allowed to yell and other with no consequences. I even witnessed someone coming out of the back and slamming her hands on the desk and yelling at Bethany. Later when I asked for a manager to report this and another issue realized it was the general manager!!! I haven't been back because of it! Wish I new where Bethany is located now!!!! read more

Only real disappointment is for the price they charge a night you could at least put a microwave in each room. It's not ideal to have everyone share a single microwave in the lobby for a five- floor hotel. The room seemed small but the breakfasts were decent and the outdoor splash pool was nice. We noticed the day we checked in there was an additional $50 charge so we went to the front desk and the man told us they charge $15 a day for "potential" damages and it's refunded after check-out. That was told to us at the time of booking so that's another thing that could be fixed. Given the price tag, I don't think we'd stay here again. read more

I'm happy to see more than a cold breakfast in the morning. There were options: folded omelettes, sausage, bagels, cream cheese, oatmeal, cereal, apples, oranges, waffle boats and toppings. Definitely got me and my girls right to start the day. I also enjoyed the pool. Not your average swimming pool. The slide and little spray area was a nice touch. My girls certainly enjoyed it. The process de was better than the rest in the area at the time and if it's that way when I return, I'll definitely stay here again. read more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tru. It was within walking distance of the Loconte Center and the Island. There are numerous restaurants and stores to visit in the island. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very polite. The rooms are minimalistic, no dressers and tables etc. We usually iron and hang all of our clothes when we check in, so thats not an issue for us. They have a sky deck with a great view and the lobby has numerous TVs and games to play. Kind of a little community area. The breakfast is the typical for Hilton's. Waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels etc etc. We will definitely be using the Tru again in the future. read more

Small bathroom and small room overall with a small refrigerator being the only amenity. The lobby area is one of the best of any hotel chain. It is large and open with all kinds of things to do as a family. Foosball tables, board games, indoor/outdoor sun room patio, office nooks, very comfortable. Lots of tvs as well. The lobby also has a large selection of food and beverages. Cold beer and wine, frozen foods, snacks, and much more. We enjoyed our night by playing the card game "Dos" and Chinese checkers, both provided in the hotel lobby. I used points so I can't attest to the rates, but checking online the rates were more affordable than other Hilton properties nearby. The Tru was $80 and the Home2Suites next door was $100 and the Hampton up the street was $110. This would be a pretty nice hotel for a couple or one person but the rooms are too small for a full family of four. Indoor pool as well. Breakfast was mostly prepackaged stuff with powdered eggs as the only warm option, as well as a waffle maker (definitely check out the waffle toppings bar!). read more

Thin walls! Firm beds, if you are into that- very uncomfortable. Hardwood vinyl floor and sound carries like crazy. Minimalist design is beautiful but not functional as far as comfort. This is being written with ear plugs in after being woken up 4 times by noise from room above and doors slamming in the hallway. Horrible experience after driving 10+hours. I'll never stay here again nor recommend. Oh, and there was no soap in the big dispenser in the shower. No coffeepot in the room . $201.00! On positive side the customer service is excellent. Great staff, very friendly. Nice pools inside and out. New and fresh. Great view from roof. Just sucks to try to sleep here. read more

The only negative thing I could find when looking before our stay was that the walls were thin. That didn't appeal to me at all but it was a girls trip for my daughters 18th birthday and she really wanted to stay somewhere besides Music Road (our normal). She chose this hotel because it wasn't as dated and I figured it really couldn't be that bad seeing how it looked so new. I always check trip advisor before booking hotels but this has really made me rethink that as the reviews there really don't portray it correctly. Let me paint a picture. The walls are thin. VERY THIN. We could hear the entire conversation that housekeeping was having in the hallway and the vacuum they were using in the room directly above us. It sounded like they were standing right next to us. We could here the people in the room next to us walking within the room, to the bathroom, flushing the commode, and back to the bed. A kid off in the distant throwing a tantrum close to midnight. Someone either very loud checking in in the middle of the night or fighting with the front desk clerk, not sure, but they were very loud. Either a cpap machine or someone snoring all night. Then of course all the dogs that stay in the hotel... barking. The beds... imagine a large cardboard box, filled with springs and then covered with a WATERPROOF mattress cover, sheets, and another sheet that resembles a comforter but is actually just another sheet. Now if you've ever slept on a waterproof mattress cover, than you know, every body part that's touching that thing at night is going to sweat. These things are only really good for kids to keep from ruining mattresses when they pee the bed... or animals that may pee the bed (remember, animal friendly hotel). It's like sleeping on plastic. Lastly, I was picking hairs off the sheets before I had even sat on the bed. Then the towels and washcloths, hairs and stains. Don't get me wrong, hairs are hairs. I expect to see a stray hair here and there but the towels just didn't seem clean enough. I couldn't find one washcloth that didn't have a stain or hair stuck all in it. DISGUSTING. Long story short, don't trust these reviews. It may be a newer hotel with the Hilton name thrown on it but it was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It definitely had the worst bed and we vacation a few times a year so that says a lot. I may have gotten 3 hours of sleep per night there. The only positive for me was the walk-in shower and speedy check in. Definitely doesn't outweigh the bad. read more

We will not be staying here again after driving 9 hours. We stopped last one night and asked if they had a room available for my husband and me and 2 small dogs. They said yes. We asked the price and they said $311 for the night would be our total for all of us. We signed the paperwork in good faith from what they total us. However we were charged an additional $150 for our pets. We were in the room for less than 10 hours. Only sleep and showered. When we called and explained we were told the total for the night was $311 was we were charged more the lady said did u sign the pet agreement. We signed what they told us to to be able to check in. Therefore she could not honor the price they gave us. read more

This is a new hotel in Pigeon Forge. I like Hilton hotels so we decided to try it. The hotel was clean and had a lot of people working who were all very nice. The rooms are not fancy, at all, but they were clean and neat. The step in shower was a little slippery once it got wet so be careful. The hotel is walking distance to The Island and a short drive to Dollywood. It also had a good free hot breakfast each morning that was well organized and replenished as items ran out/got some low. They had two automatic pancake makers and two waffle irons as well as cereal, juice, yogurt, fruit, and some type of egg option and some type of breakfast pork product and grits. The hotel allows dogs and there were a number there with families. They also have a roof deck lounging area that was nice and had a great view over Pigeon Forge. It shares an outdoor pool with the Hilton property next door and has its own indoor pool. We would stay here again. It's price was very reasonable and we were out of the room all day at Dollywood one day and doing other tourist stuff in Pigeon Forge the other days. It really is convenient, clean, and economical and the employees were all incredibly nice. The room was not big, but was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again. read more

This place is our home away from home. The staff is beyond nice, and the rooms are always so clean. It is just over all a great place. Good breakfast and a fun place for families. Rooms were kind of clean, it felt like our floor hadn't been swept in a week and you could physically see dirt on the floor. Not a lot of extra seating except for one chair and it had a stain so we ended up just using the beds for chairs. Took forever to get the TV to turn on, including a trip down to the front desk to get batteries, it still took forever even after the batteries. Fridge is on the floor. There's not a lot of space in the rooms at all. No cleaning service due to COVID-19. Breakfast was not conveyed to us correctly at all. We were told that they had limited options for breakfast, we were not told it was a brown paper bag with a highly sugary breakfast cake, a nutrigrain bar, and an orange. We also were able to get a water or orange juice. Pool is great, rooftop lounge is nice. Front desk employees are nice. I would stay here again, but things would need to be different. read more

This hotel was very clean and neat with good amenities (the rooftop deck area was super nice). It is a pet friendly hotel so we brought my Goldendoodle and they were super welcoming of him and seemed to love animals. The only things we wished were different was the tv had only basic channels and not a lot to find to watch, the breakfast was good but they really only had waffles, bagels, eggs and 2-3 cereals to choose from and we have had much better breakfasts at other places we have stayed. We got the king bed room and it worked for our short 2 night stay but it was a little smaller and tight than it looked in the pictures we had viewed. All those things aside we had a nice experience and would probably come to this hotel again if we are in the area with our pup! read more

If I could give a zero, I would. I have been to many Hilton's all over the country. Silver Hilton Honors member. I am always pretty happy with them and stick with them when I travel. I made a mistake with my reservation on the Hilton app. I was told I idled to long when looking at the rooms??? It booked the room for that same night. I was sitting on my couch in Indiana. Anyway I just need the date switched to the correct one. The following Tuesday. NOPE Some GM Melissa Keith said she would not fix the mistake I made. She said it was a sold out night. Hmmm at 10 pm when I was looking at rooms there were 4 different choices of rooms. I feel like if you are expected to do the job of the front desk registration person and book everything yourself on an app and check in and out on your own etc. They need to anticipate mistakes at times. I never went through training and don't know the correct idling times and I don't do the app like a hotel employee. I had to call Hilton and tell them what happen. The actual Hilton corporate employees we wonderful, understanding and helped. I was able to get treated fairly. I cancel my reservation for this hotel and never step foot in it and never will. Too bad it looks nice. If they handle snags and problems this poorly though I think It best to go somewhere else. I love Hilton this has really been The only time I felt I was treated unfairly at one of the hotels. When you are traveling and problem arise (which really never does for me but can anytime) you want to know you will be helped and treated fairly. That did not happen in this case. read more

I am a long time Hilton member. I only like to stay at Hilton so I will say that this hotel is good for the Tru line. I usually stay at the Hilton Garden & Inn at Gatlinburg, but it was full. So we decided to have our stay here. The hotel is clean, minimal to say the least. Not storage drawers or anything like that, which you don't usually use anyways. The TV was a great size which now means your room is up to date. The floors are wood, and the views are great. Nice shower too. The rooms are spacious for the price. I would recommend this hotel for the saver that wants a good place to stay that is clean and new. Games down stairs for the kids, and a fire pit up and down stairs. Very nice lit up atmosphere. We did not eat the breakfast choices, but did look, and were not impressed by the visuals. No bacon was available either, I mean c'mon Hilton, you gotta have the bacon. read more

We had a wonderful stay with our two kiddos ages 6 & 10. Everything was just a described as online. Only thing I was not a fan of was no drawers for storage however I knew this when booking. Pool was plenty big for a hotel pool and the breakfast offered wasn't bad. We would definitely stay here again. read more

The overall stay here was a pleasant one. However, before we checked out my daughters asked if we could go check out the sky deck one last time. We were up there enjoying the Foosball table when a big gust of wind came through. The gust picked up the connect t four game and it slammed in to the back of my daughter and launched her forward into the Foosball table. We went and grab our last bag from the room and did the digital checkout. Then we left to make sure she was ok. She suffered a concusion and serious black eye. The next morning I called the hotel not to try to make trouble but to make them aware of what happened so it wouldn't happen to anyone else. I talked to a lady who said she would take my name and number and her manager would contact me. When I was not contacted I attempted to get back in touch with the hotel. I could not get anyone e to talk to me. I finally was able to get a Reservation line worker to connect me to the front desk. When I talked to the manager she was extremely rude but finally told me if I told her when it happened they would look at the camera and get back with me. I told her I'm not trying to cause problems or anything I just want to make you aware of what happened so this doesn't happen again. My daughter had a headache and black eye for a full week. To which she told me if there is high wind they close the sky deck. That day there was a high wind advisory for all of pigeon forge yet the sky deck was opened. I have not heard anything from anyone at the establishment since. I really hope they do something about this because it is a very serious safety concern. If it had hit my daughter inches over she could have easily died. The problem needs fixed but management would rather be rude and try to evade responsibility so that the problem can be fixed. read more

The hotel was okay at best. The rooms was very clean except for a stain on the textured wall paper in the bathroom. The room was tiny, and the hotel was not very exciting. The female clerk at the desk (09/06/18 2000hrs ) was extremely rude. With the 100's of other options in the area, we will def be staying somewhere else for the next trip. read more
