It's almost a resort! You can make a whole vacation on the property for a few days. The indoor outdoor pool, lazy river, and courtyard spaces were great! And there's a ton more to do within an easy walk of the place. We stayed on points and got a bon Voy suite night upgrade even on a very busy Friday night. Our king suite was great with a nice separated room and a living room and bedroom balcony. Everyone was very nice and everything very clean. I can't wait to go back! read more

Was not happy with the courtyard Marriott. Temp in room was hard to maintain as thermostat was disabled and only control on the ptac itself. They love to do the laundry at all hours of the night. Stay far from room 204 unless you want to hear the main laundry room during you whole stay. House keeping loves ro never refill all your towels one night it will be 2 another night 3 out of 6 night we got lucky with 4 only after we leave a huge note to leave 4 towels.... read more

Room was fine. Food is below average. Grits cold. And the best part was seeing a large parrot alone in a smallish plexi glass case, with tiny air holes in it for air and no interaction with anyone and no room to do much of anything. This seems like animal cruelty to me and was upsetting to see this. Parrots are social and why would someone do this? Find it a decent home and not put it behind glass all day. read more

I'll give the pros and cons for this review. I will totally stay there again-it's in a great location and our room was very clean. We were upgraded to a king suite which was super nice, but honestly wasted space for us to stay for one night. Bathroom gets 5 stars as the shower was updated and the products were higher quality. However, the bath towels were super scratchy. We booked the hotel for the "relaxing" lazy River. It's smaller than it appears in photos, but the entire pool area itself is nice. There are approximately 10 tubes to use, which is fun when people who aren't using them are hoarding them. If you can get floats and find the sweet spot when kids are crashing into your tube and people aren't just sitting in the river to be an obstacle, it's a nice experience. The current flows well and they did a nice job with the island in the middle. Downstairs is the typical Courtyard bistro and Starbucks. I ordered 2 tall coffees and avocado toast for breakfast (total $22). The girl working there clearly hated her job. It was painful giving her my order then she didn't prepare my coffee correctly. Parking was free and easy. Checking in was easy. It's located next to a small area with restaurants and not a far walk from the Island. read more

A typical Courtyard offers functional amenities for the road warrior. You get great wifi, 50 power points in the room, bright lights, and a breakfast / bar place. This Courtyard has a Heated Lazy River, a Heated Indoor Pool, a Gameroom, an huge outdoor firepit, a huge outdoor lounging area and..... and.. the best hidden thing ever....access to a well maintained river walk, right behind the hotel. Plenty of parking, right off the main street, and in the middle of everything. I particularly enjoyed the riverwalk, and the outdoor firepit. Would have had a dip in the lazy river, but I didn't have my Speedos... Most definitely staying here again. read more

As someone who looks forward to a hearty breakfast, I would prefer to have continental style rather than trying to ration out vouchers. But we made it work and the food was good. Favorites included french toast with strawberries, breakfast quesadilla and the bistro breakfast sandwich. The quinoa bowl was subpar. Aside from a minimal breakfast selection, the rest of our experience was great! The room was clean with plenty of amenities and toiletries included. Even a small balcony where you can enjoy breakfast. Although we didn't go in, the lazy river style pool was nice as was the gym. There's a massive fire pit but almost always taken so when you see an opening, grab a spot! If you're not so lucky, there's a nice fireplace inside where you can enjoy board games, watch TV or eat. Plenty of parking and conveniently located close to the Smokey Mountains with lots of chain restaurants close by. Highly recommend! read more

The minute you walk into the lobby it smells so fresh and clean, the hotel staff is very nice and quick with their services. they have an inside pool, and outside lazy river and a hot tub that are all open 24/7 in the summer but unsure about the winter. From the beginning, things didn't feel right. We stood in one line because initially there was only one representative checking people in. However, another person opened another line up. We were next in line, but this man just stared at us. After he stared for about 30 seconds, I already knew that he wasn't going to greet us, and that I was going to have to get his attention. I'm not sure if this young man has an issue with Black people, or same sex couples but we came representing both and he had no interest in helping us. I approached him, and we checked in and he didn't give us any information on the hotel. All of the usual information that you should be greeted with had become secret information. This was around 445 on may 19. After that horrible experience, we learned that housekeeping was subpar, walls are rice paper thin, and every time anyone flushed a toilet, we would hear it. There's a pool here that is nice, but they blast music from it every morning, forcing you to wake up whenever it starts. I would never recommend this place. The ignorance we came in contact with and the complete lack of sleep I've gotten since I've been here is unacceptable. There's no reason for a brand new hotel to not be spotless. read more

Really hate to do this however the housekeeping staff has really set a new level of dishonesty. A quick background is I work on the road and spend around 200+days living in hotels. For the first time in my 20+ years of traveling I encountered a housekeeping staff that instead of maybe taking the few bits of trash and re-upping some coffee and cups decided they would put up the "do not disturb" sign on my room?!? This is the second time in my 3 night stay here!! Also the reason I am here is due to a fire that is in area and I am the aircraft ground support which means I leave around 6-7am and do not return until 17-20:00. Any feedback from my complaint is most welcome. I normally just brush things off but this is a new level for me and yes I'm switching hotels tomorrow read more

Fantastic hotel! Cleanest, friendliest, and most well kept hotel I've ever stayed in. My wife and I got a single king bed room with a pool view balcony. It was perfect. Super super clean. Really modern and well kept. My name was on the TV when I arrived, felt like a king! Pools and hot tub were really clean. Towels were always stocked. Trash always changed. Tables always clean. The pools, lazy river, hot tub, outdoor fire pits, and all seating are open 24/7. That was amazing. Nothing beats a late night swim before sitting around the fire. We were in heaven!! Serious kudos to the staff of this hotel. Never had a better experience!! We will be back! read more

This was the perfect hotel to stay at over the Christmas Holiday in PF!!! First....the lobby area smelled like Christmas!!!! It was amazing! The decorations with the fireplace just added to the Christmas feel. And I agree with what others have stated, that the hotel has a "lodge" feel. They had three beverage dispensers that contained different fruits to flavor the water. Amazing! There was plenty of seating in the lobby/bar/restaurant area. Three sections have TVs which was really nice to use while hanging out down there. Also lots of sitting places in the living area portion of lobby. There is a gym and a separate game room with a pool table. Indoor pool was nice but after a while the water got chilly. Last night people kept the door out to the hot tub open which was horrible because I got cold fast in the pool. My husband went and closed it but someone opened it back up. Got to enjoy the hot tub on one night but it's a very popular place and after waiting two hours to get in on last night, we gave up waiting after a group let their little kids use it. Room was very nice. Glad we brought a cooler as the frig is little and doesn't get very cool. Microwave was in room. On Christmas Day each room had a Christmas stocking with ornament, and was stuffed with candy. They also offered free breakfast buffet that morning. That was really nice and made it feel even more like Christmas!!!! Housekeeping was fine until last day. We opted out of cleaning on Christmas Day. Well that must have been taken as no more service at all. We had to call down twice before clean towels were brought up! I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are visiting the PF area!!!!! read more

This is a nice hotel with access to all the touristy attractions (none of which I would care to visit). There is limited food availability, so we ate breakfast at the Brick & Spoon restaurant next door. The room was clean and updated. The a/c unit was noisy (why can't hotels make a quiet air conditioner???) Front desk staff was cheery and welcoming and the lobby was a nice spot to meet up with our friends. read more

We decided to just go somewhere for the 4th of July. We wanted a pool with a lazy river and the Courtyard Pigeon Forge came up in the search. We arrived as planned at 4pm, as we got out at the front door I could tell this is not my normal Courtyard Hotel from the music playing to the 4th of July decorations on the building. Our key was waiting, check in was smooth, the folks at the front desk were welcoming and knowledgeable. The lobby is big, open, clean, and inviting. Our room is on the 6th floor (605) and gives a great view of the pool, river, and surrounding hills. We watched the local fireworks from the balcony. The pool is great. The hotel supplied tubes, towels, and a DJ for music. They also have a music service on an app that let's you set the mood with requests (that's pretty cool). The grounds are neat and clean and even though you are in the heart of the tourist area this is a nice escape from it. We will be back. read more

We checked into this Hotel on a whim while we had spent the entire day exploring the Smokey's between Cherokee and Gainsburg. The hotel had a military discount and Nicole managed to snag one on the 6th floor. This is a brand new hotel and had excellent accommodations. Love the spiked fruit water at the elevators, pool, out-door gas fire pit, and the room was a corner unit with balcony featuring a large king, plasma screen, and spacious bathroom. One thing lacking was a free breakfast, although you could purchase it on the first floor from a barista who would also make you a nice cup of joe. read more

Brand new location and we were one of the first to stay here. Huge open entry with a great outdoor seating area around a wonderful fire pit. And they also feature a great lazy river pool and they're next to the river. Rooms were very clean and spacious and they take great precautions on their cleaning following the Covid scare. We used to stay other places.. used to .. Marriott won is over a long time ago and this one is pretty awesome for the area. Too many times you'll see a hotel advertised as high end in this area only to show up and it be run down and very obviously built in the 60s. It's a category 5 for Marriott so it's a pretty decent hotel. Nice staff. Working and clean amenities. Nice bar staff too.Great location. All too often in this area companies have the mindset of "we're the only option so deal with it" but I'd recommend this place. Don't expect the Ritz or a category 8. And honestly in other cities this would be a category 3/4 but still very nice. We will only stay at Marriott hotels in this area and most likely this one again. read more

This hotel has been the best experience! When we checked in they had a popcorn bar, the following morning was a donut bar. There is a lazy river pool, an indoor pool and a hot tub. They have beautiful deck space outside with gas fire pits. The lobby is beautiful and has a Starbucks in it with lots of places to sit and eat breakfast. The room is very spacious with a microwave, a mini fridge, and a couch. The shower is a walk in waterfall shower that doesn't have a door it's just s long shower with a piece of glass on one end. We were in town for a wedding. We arrived after driving 12 hours and enjoyed the lazy river and outdoor pool immediately. The room was clean, stocked, and even had options such as feather or foam pillows. The towels are stocked for pool usage near the pools. There is an indoor/outdoor pool with garage doors they close later at night. The outdoor pool is great as well with the lazy river attached to it. The hot tub was perfect after a long day of driving and after being at the wedding. There are amazing fireplaces. The pools are open all the time with designated quiet hours. We had such an amazing stay here and would definitely stay here again when in the area. For a bit more price wise, you'll get pools and a hot tub that are open all the time, friendly and helpful staff, and a great room with either a mountain view (highly recommend) or a pool view. read more

Be sure and check your receipt when checking out. I stayed 2 nights Sept 19th and Sept 20. I stayed alone in my room. My sister in law stayed in the exact room next door. I was charged $120 more than she and more than I was quoted before checking out. Didn't notice the receipt until arriving home. Called and asked about the charges. They could not explain it. Called back on Monday and placed on a 20 minute hold before speaking to a lady who assured me I would be receiving an email from Marriot to try to figure out why this happened. Well no! No one seems to care. I guess they just charge whatever and do not return calls or emails. Goodbye Marriotts for me and my family after years of giving you lots of business. I wish I took pictures for our stay at this Marriott. The hotel was super clean and even had flavored water for guests by the elevator. Our room was huge! It didn't dawn on me that the room was a handicap room which is why it was large. I do not recall reserving a handicap room but either way we loved the space. The beds were comfy and we all slept like a baby. Our one night was perfect and what we needed after our long day taking in the sights in Gaitlinburg. read more

We came to pigeon forge for our vacation this year since our youngest has never been to the mountains. We chose this place because we are Marriott rewards members and have always liked the Marriotts. The place is very clean and appears to have housekeepers that engage in maintaining this footwork. The pool and patio area has a couple fire pits that's so relaxing at the end of a busy day. There is a lazy river that is connected to a pool area with beautiful lush landscaping around the grounds. It also has a beautiful layout with a covered indoor/outdoor pool and a hot tub. Even if it's raining the indoor pool can be opened to feel like it's outside. We noticed staff out every morning cleaning the pool as well as constantly tending to the pool bathrooms and picking up and maintaining. We chose a room that overlooks the lazy river and a river that flows behind the hotel as well. We had a balcony to sit outside and enjoy the sites, it also was a magnificent view of the pigeon forge Ferris wheel which was beautiful to look at especially at night. Each room has a mini microwave and fridge that is wonderfully convenient for cool drinks in your room. Paul Mitchell bath products in the bath that smell amazing. The have a small bistro to get drinks or food as well. We never utilized this service but it was great to know we could get a sandwich or drink at any time. Beware, they don't offer a complimentary breakfast but there are several fast food restaurants, restaurants, or cafe's within walking distance from the hotel. They do have a pantry to get grocery store items as well. The lobby area has a wonderful seating area that has board games, puzzles, and books for family time fun. They also have 2 different types of complimentary fruit infused water available in the lobby as well. My personal favorite was the strawberry-apple. Cool and refreshing after being out in the hot sun by the pool. All in all, the thing that truly has made our stay here at the Courtyard is the girl at the front desk, "HEATHER". When we arrived on Sunday afternoon, Heather took care of checking us in. We had requested a room without a bathtub and discovered that room was not ready at that time. Heather was extremely courteous and helpful and offered us to relax by the pool until our room was ready. She told us she could call us when it was ready...and she did within the hour. Again, upon completion of our check in her smile and warm welcome just made you smile inside. She has been here everyday and has been so courteous every time she sees us, asking if we are doing ok and if she could us anything. Customer service goes along way, and this place has had outstanding customer service with all its employees, Heather has gone above and beyond...Thank you. read more

Really nice, and looks practically new. Was rather surprised that they didn't offer a complimentary breakfast, but I'm sure that is to try to get people to spend money at their very limited "bistro". If I'm spending this much, I'll stay at a hotel that offers me a free waffle and coffee - that's right, they don't even offer free coffee other than the standard tiny one-cup maker that isn't really drinkable. But, hey, the staff is great, really friendly, and the place is super nice. I have been scarred by a horrible experience at a Marriott in the past- but this has by far been my best hotel experience of my life. This place is basically flawless.
