Our stay at this hotel was honestly better than I expected. The location was super convenient--just a short drive to nearby stores, museums, and restaurants, which made exploring the area really easy. Our room had clearly been recently renovated, and it was clean and updated. The mini fridge was surprisingly loud, which made sleeping a bit annoying. There was also ongoing construction, and the noise early in the morning wasn't ideal for anyone trying to relax or sleep in. When we first arrived, I was a little thrown off by the random furniture outside the hotel--it gave off a bit of a rundown or "ghetto" vibe. But again, they are renovating the hotel. The kiddie section near the pool was also out of order, which was disappointing, especially for families with little ones. In the room, I noticed some brown spots near the toilet seat knobs, which honestly could have been cleaned with a toothbrush. I get that it's a toilet, but it did take away from the otherwise clean space. The front desk staff was okay--not rude, but nothing impressive either. After taking a look around in complete shock, I asked the lady if they were renovating, and she looked at me as if I was speaking another language. Also made a smart remark and asked did I not see online before booking. All in all, its not a bad stay as long as you're staying to wash and nap. I'd probably stay again if I needed a quick place to nap and freshen up, but I wouldn't call it a full vacation spot--more like a solid rest stop with potential. read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. After making a reservation and paying, we became aware that this hotel was doing renovations to their fitness room, which would be closed. We were surprised upon arrival to find the ENTIRE hotel is in the demolition phase of a massive renovation project. Random small things were no longer maintained (broken waffle maker, etc.) No Fitness Center. The cozy indoor fireplace lounge is full of dusty pallets of bricks. The outdoor patio now has tall towers of old mattresses instead of rockers. Construction workers everywhere, all over the hotel inside and outside. HUGE random piles of supplies, furniture, and debris indoors and outdoors. Sheet rock dust and chunks in the elevators. Workers pushing wheeled laundry tubs full of old carpet down the hallways. LOUD construction noises started at exactly 7am in the adjoining guest room. When we tried to leave, our car was trapped, surrounded by their big trucks. Yes, we asked everyone from the desk clerk up to the company headquarters to honor their "100% Hampton Guarantee". They refused while insinuating that we should have read more on social media about their vague "renovations" before deciding to stay at their hotel. No Hampton, you did not honor your pledge to "Make it Right". No compensation. No discount coupons for a future stay. Only a reluctant ingenuine email apology two days later, nothing else. read more

The room was really nice and clean, but house keeping isnt daily and its every other day? Even so they wouldnt be around until 3pm or later. I would always have to go to the front desk and ask for extra towels, we were never left enough. As for knocking? Forget that they never knocked just opened the door with out even announcing themselves. Breakfast was really good, but the staff always has a nasty look on their faces until you confront them for a good morning. The hot tub was treacherous too, no steps to get in out, so my grandma couldn't enjoy it. The location is great as you're really close to anything so thats nice. The customer [dis]service and treatment I received from this hotel was hands-down the worst I've ever been shown in my 17+ years as a HH Diamond and the hundreds of stays I've taken. A phone call by me to the diamond desk was required to sort my issue, which was a hotel property issue/mistake/wrongdoing. The hotel used my credit card to create a second booking without my knowledge or consent, despite me having, and checking in with, a reservation already made using HH points. I was shocked when told: "You have to call Hilton honors and complain, it's not my problem." I was treated very rudely, aggressively and with total disrespect. Even after the telephone agent from HH intervened and helped resolve my issue with an abundance apologies (and disbelief), and assisted me in canceling the remainder of my stay (I refused to stay here another night), the hotel staff continued to be condescending and disrespectful until my departure. This hotel stay ranks dead last among all hotel stay I've ever had - all brands included. I still hold Hilton in high regards, but this property is undoubtably a black eye on Hilton's track record of hospitality. read more

We stayed in room 414. It was a spacious 2 bed + sofa bed room. As you'd expect, the sofa bed isn't very comfortable, it's just there so the 5th person doesn't have to sleep on an uncomfortable floor. Rooms seemed especially dingy at night, and the floors seemed a little questionable, but overall still pretty comfortable. Parking for this hotel didn't seem as convenient. Most of the parking is in the back and while the Diamond parking spots were prominently on display in the front, I didn't see any handicap spots. There are only a few handicap spots out back. Hot breakfast in the morning was nice even though the Delta variant of COVID-19 is running rampant. I went earlier in the morning to bring food back to the room. I was happy to see plastic gloves available. We went down again later to get more food for my wife and was shocked how packed the breakfast area was...and not a concern in the world about COVID. In terms of all the Hampton Inns I've stayed at, I would say, this experience was rather average. read more

Breakfast was really good also, had pastries to make your own waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, oats, toast and more. Front desk was very nice and attentive. Rooms were nice and clean. They say they are pet friendly, but do not advertise the additional cost or allow you to add a pet when reserving. I received a text 2.5 hours after booking notifying me of a $75 non-refundable fee for our dog. Had I known this information upfront, I would have never booked a room at this hotel. This is a really beautiful, relatively new hotel. The grounds are beautiful. Indoor and outdoor pools with a fun splash pad outside. When we walked in, the front desk clerk was looking down at her terminal. No welcoming smile or hello. She just kept her head down and finished up what she was doing. Now, this didn't go on for a long time, but it was awkward. She checked us in quickly, but didn't acknowledge my husband at all - as a preferred Hilton member or as the primary name on the reservation. She spoke to me and handed both keys to me. It was just so weird. Room was lovely! Spacious, clean, and we had a great view. Bed was comfortable. Sheets were fresh. Requests for extra pillows and towels was accommodated. What a great weekend experience! The hotel is beautiful, and has a fantastic breakfast area, with a decent breakfast for all. The pools are clean and great for all ages. The rooms are clean, and the staff was very friendly. I stayed in a jacuzzi/fireplace suite and it was extremely relaxing. Not a single complaint there! The hotel is in a great location, but there certainly is not enough parking for all of the guests. I came in late one night and there wasn't a single parking space! Very easy location to find and access. The parking is plenteous. The common areas are great inside and out. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Our room was extremely comfortable- large TV- unlike many hotels rooms. It also has a great chair for sitting and desk area. This place sure it's what it was three years ago. Checking in we were met with the front desk attendant that could obviously care less about her position or providing any type of hospitality. Her attitude and general demeanor was hideous and rude. Once we entered our room it quickly became evident that the commode was stopped up, the sink drain plug was broken, bathtub trim was caked with black substance, and the room was filled with a musty odor. After take a wet towel and wiping the floors after exiting the showering it revealed the towel was black from lack of cleaning prior to our check in. Unfortunately, this hotel has drastically declined over the last few years but the prices remain high compared to other accommodations in the area. The staff and accommodations are some of the WORST I have seen out of the area and would NOT recommend anyone stay at the Hampton Inn for their family vacation. read more

The only thing I received back was that " it's not us, I must be mistaken. " So, I took a trip to Chicago last week (Aug 8), and out of desperation and necessity, I booked a room at the Hampton in River North area on Illinois street. I arrived two hours before their check in time. My room was ready, but to enter I would have to pay a $25 early check in fee? I consider myself a savvy traveler, and have experienced good and bad hotels. The Hampton Hotels are definitely in the lower quartile. They do not care about customer satisfaction nor comfort. It seems like the only thing they want is to take advantage of you by nickel and diming you as much as they can. If you have a choice on availability and location, I recommend the Marriott brand. Superior service, better rooms and oh so much tastier breakfasts. In my travels I will spread my experiences with the Hampton brand. read more

Elizabeth at the front desk took the time to give this California boy the lay of the land, told me the local favorites for food and more importantly hooked up some coupon books! We weren't in the room for more than 10 mins before the front desk texted to ask if everything is to our liking in the room and asked if there's anything we needed. ROOM 234 A nice new Hampton Inn, in Pigeon Forge. After doing much research on where to stay in Pigeon Forge, we decided to go with an old standard...Hampton Inn. This is a good choice, because it is not right on the main drag, although there is a convenient trolley stop just out front that will take you to all the attractions. We weren't big fans of the area, not really our cup of tea, but this hotel was clean and nicely appointed. Staff was accommodating and the morning breakfast was very good. The hotel was very busy with families and stayed quite loud into the evening, with kids in the nearby pool and then running in the halls. Maybe they could have a floor that is for those travelling without youngsters, just a thought. read more

Pool and lobby were spotless during our stay. Decent breakfast by hotel standards. Overall, this is on the higher end of the Hampton In. Scale. Negatives: The traffic. You are best to walk wherever you want to go or head out as early as possible. Not so much right outside of the hotel, but all around it. Insider secret: If you know the back way in, take it. If you don't know the back way- bring up your favorite maps app and figure it out... It'll save you an hour of insanity. With that being said, if you are staying for 2+ nights I recommend getting a cabin that is off the beaten path. It's nothing against this hotel... It's just more of an authentic Smoky Mountains experience to stay in a cabin. read more

Staff were nice, the free breakfast was helpful for our family and saved us a lot of money and got us all fueled up to go explore for the rest of the day. Facility was clean and quiet. I learned from the insurance company that they do not cover items stolen by employees. Unless they see them with the item(s). Based on other's reviews, we chose to stay at this Hampton Inn. We booked the reservation through AAA, and specifically booked a king room with a fireplace. When we got there, we were put into a king room, no fireplace. When I asked about it, they said I had booked that, but they didn't have any available. While the room seemed clean, I suffered a line of bug bites on my arm after sleeping in the bed. Not sure whether they were bedbugs or not, but they itched like crazy all day. The room they placed us in was handicapped-accessible, so it was at the end of the hall on the ground floor. Very noisy, with people coming in and out, and in the morning. We won't be staying here again. I'd recommend that if you book through anything but Hampton, you call to ensure you get the specific room you want. read more

We just loved our stay here! Great location just off the parkway. We could see mountains from our room. The rooms were nice and clean. Beds were comfy. Quiet. Microwave and mini fridge (no freezer in the fridge) Our little guy had an absolute blast in the pools! The pools are open until 11, which is really nice. Neat patio area with a fireplace. The next door Hilton Garden Inn has a restaurant that has a happy hour and will do room service at this location. Decent breakfast with tasty waffles. The breakfast attendants were so sweet. Most of the staff were nice. The only reasons I'm not giving five stars are minor but I'll list them: bath towels were stiff, no exhaust fan in the bathroom, hot tub jets not working on our last day, some staff weren't as warm/welcoming as I would appreciate (but they were still helpful), no USB ports, steep driveway We can't wait to come back! read more
