Terrible food. The pizza taste like something sitting around gas station. You're better off getting something in the village

Notified them of certain food allergies and they were very attentive and polite to accommodate. Service was fast and very friendly. Food came out one after another, apps, soups, salads then main course. Sorry it took this long to find this place but will definitely be going back. This is my new favorite place…read more If my wife is to be believed, I'm a bit of a food snob. Incredibly good-looking and flawless otherwise (that's her talking, not me), but she thinks I can be a little judgmental when it comes to food. And I suppose she's right about that (and how I'm essentially perfect otherwise). Let me be clear though: I don't need fancy fare, although I've eaten a lot of it. We just all have to eat every day, and I'd rather have tasty things to eat than the alternative. And if I'm being honest, my expectations were not super high for Timeless Tavern, not because of anything they've done, but because in my experience, restaurants can be hit or miss in Hamilton County. Timeless Tavern is a hit. This joint is everything I wanted. We spent the day tearing up floors, and we were tired and hungry and just looking for a good, hearty meal. That's what you can get here. A really good portion of delicious food, at a good price, from good people. Our server Becky was outstanding. She was welcoming and warm, and she led us to the right things on the menu: steaks. It seems like what they do best here, and we went for the garlic sirloin, the Delmonico, and for me, the chocolate, balsamic, and bleu cheese covered NY strip. Yeah, it sounds a little weird, but I felt like you don't put something like that on the menu unless you know it's good, and it was. The steaks were cooked properly, seasoned properly, and honestly a pretty massive portion as well. The menu said 16 oz, I wouldn't be surprised if it was more. I can't remember the last time I didn't finish a meal, but I took a little bit of it home for a snack later on. That's probably because they also come with soup and salad, which leads me to another reason Timeless Tavern is my new favorite place: The Chicken Riggy. It's a tomato-based, creamy, hearty chicken soup with rigatoni in there, and I was legitimately blown away by how tasty it was. As soon as I had a bite, I knew we'd be coming back here whenever we're in town. It was rich, and flavorful, and unexpected. Also, I absolutely love that almost all the salad dressings are homemade. Parmesan peppercorn? I'll always get that. I've written a lot here, but the moral of the story is that I love this place. The food is great, the people are great, and it seems like a fun and lively spot to just come for a drink if you aren't hungry. Best of all, the prices are super reasonable. Looking forward to when we're back in town, and I'm bringing the whole family.

I love little places like this. How could you not?…read more Big Mike's is a little shack with a pick up window (cash only) and a small inside dining room. The inside is homey, with a lot of little things hung around to look at. The single waitress running the lunch hour was delightful. She worked quickly and never skipped a beat. You could tell the other patrons here were regulars, since I didn't even hear them place an order, but their lunch was set down in front of them. The special board had great deals. The baskets came with fries and slaw, for $7.99. Great deal. This place is known for their hotdogs and burgers, but I wasn't in the mood for that, next time! I opted for the chicken wing wrap with no sides. It was SO fresh. It was filled with crispy chicken bites coated in a really good buffalo sauce, lettuce, tomato and blue cheese. I really enjoyed it. The wrap itself was super good and soft and fresh as well. The meal was quick, cheap and homey. I'll certainly be back next time I forget lunch at work.

But definitely not on a flat top or char broiled, we ate but not sure if we will ever go back. Point to be made, it was NOT crowded, a table of 3 in the backroom and then the 2 of us, so for the time we waited was kind of strange. Food should have been better. Good milkshake.

I walked around to check out some of the other spaces outside of the restaurant area and I love that they have kept so many of the historical facets and spaces alive. In the meantime, I really had no idea that a "taco Tuesday" in Broadalbin would actually be something to talk about! First thing to note is portion size. Gigantic. We all had leftovers. A LOT of leftovers. And while it might not be real "traditional" Mexican food, the quality was excellent. Food was nice and hot; our server was very friendly. The only glitch we hit: the iced tea tasted terrible. Not sure what happened there, but the rest of the meal made up for that. I have no idea what the rooms are like or how it is as a hotel, but if you live nearby, you might want to stop by for a nice meal. We could tell that lots of regulars go there. Hopefully whoever the new owners are will keep up the quality of food.
