The inside is homey, with a lot of little things hung around to look at. The single waitress running the lunch hour was delightful. She worked quickly and never skipped a beat. You could tell the other patrons here were regulars, since I didn't even hear them place an order, but their lunch was set down in front of them. The special board had great deals. The baskets came with fries and slaw, for $7.99. Great deal. This place is known for their hotdogs and burgers, but I wasn't in the mood for that, next time! I opted for the chicken wing wrap with no sides. It was SO fresh. It was filled with crispy chicken bites coated in a really good buffalo sauce, lettuce, tomato and blue cheese. I really enjoyed it. The wrap itself was super good and soft and fresh as well. The meal was quick, cheap and homey. I'll certainly be back next time I forget lunch at work.

But definitely not on a flat top or char broiled, we ate but not sure if we will ever go back. Point to be made, it was NOT crowded, a table of 3 in the backroom and then the 2 of us, so for the time we waited was kind of strange. Food should have been better. Good milkshake.

First disappointment was that entrees come with a choice of soup or salad. It was Caesar salad or tomato soup- both of which contained dairy so I couldn't have either and was not offered another option. The salmon was excellent but 2 bites in I realized the rice was partly crunchy. Told the server and was not offered a new portion or another option. Then coffee comes and upon pouring the cream in, it immediately separated. Was at least brought another cup. Then the bill comes and NOTHING was comped. Now, any one of these experiences would have perhaps been a minor inconvenience but you add up all three and I would have minimally appreciated an $8 dessert comped on an almost $200 bill. Would probably not be back.

And no, I'm not talking about on busy nights, which would be excusable, I'm talking about 5:30 on a Tuesday evening when there's only maybe 2-3 other tables. About every time im there I'm waiting 45mins to an hour for my food, which seems way too long for a night that had few people (and who already had their food out). Additionally, the last 2 times it seems they are almost always out of something, which again can be excused, but I arrived 30 minutes after they opened and they were already out of something.... As far as the actual food goes I do love the flavors and creativity a lot! I like the Asian fusion dishes. I definitely recommend anything with their Thai chicken. What is just more frustrating is the long periods of waiting, especially when it's not during a rush, and the absence of ingredients or sauces. I want to come back again but perhaps maybe just do takeout and order ahead of time. ‍ I hate to leave negative reviews but I'm not the only one who has mentioned or talked about the very long wait times for food orders. Perhaps the orders are not being put in immediately after they are taken, I'm not sure.

It was a nice day so we chose one of the two outside tables. It was about 10:15 when we placed our order. We got our drinks reasonably quick. They came by to refresh coffee once. And then we didn't see them for about a half hour. I'm sure it was busy and they're a small staff. But we were sitting outside feeling neglected. Meanwhile I'm certain everyone inside got what they were needing. I believe it was a case of out of sight, out of mind. Close to 11 I got up from my seat and went inside to inquire. The exact answer I got from one of the waitstaff was "We'll bring it out when it's ready." Not one acknowledgment of the wait. Not even one apology for the wait. I'd say the total wait was 50 minutes. We got our food about 10 minutes after that. Perhaps they got the hint. And then we finally got some attention to our drinks. But yet again, not one acknowledgement of the wait. Now the saving grace. The food we got was actually excellent. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. Everyone was happy with their food. Yet again I had to go inside just to ask for the bill. I didn't even get a "how was everything?" Maybe they were afraid to ask? Let me be clear. I understand waiting for food. I understand the kitchen may be busy. I'm not unreasonable. But feeling neglected should never happen. They seemed nice enough and I don't think they did it on purpose. I honestly believe that once you sit outside here you become out of sight, out of mind. You become the last priority and everyone inside gets their undivided attention. If I'm ever back in town I would come back because the food was that good. But I know where I'm sitting next time.

Then see if they bring you something to drink. Hopefully you'll get it before or with your breakfast so you don't have to dry throat your meal. I wasn't that fortunate. Asked twice even. Anyway , I'm sure it was just this one time. I'm not sure if I want to wait 2 hours to have the same experience again. Good luck to you or hopefully you already had/ have a better experience.

My wife and I have dined there many times now! The owner Gail, her daughter Julie and the chef, Nate are great people. Warm and friendly. The restaurant/bar is warm and cozy with a big fireplace on the far wall - always roaring in the winter. Great place to grab a drink and a few appetizers after doing some of the local hikes. If you can make it for dinner - do it!!! They "regular" menu features thick burgers, Fried Haddock Fish Fry, Clam or scallop baskets etc. Their rotating specials are always fantastic - alway cooked well, spiced perfectly and nice portions! They often have meatloaf, pork or chicken parmesan, smoked ribs, beef stroganoff and other great dishes. If you do go and they have their NY Strip Steak on the menu - you are blessed. I have had steaks in Chicago, London, NYC, Dallas - lots of places. I can honestly say the the steak at PLI is in my top 3. It's shockingly good!!! During Xmas month, they serve a drink called Tom and Jerry, which consists of eggnog batter, Rum, and Brandy. That drink was delicious. I had the Seafood Linguine, and that was pretty good, but I've had better. I would order something else on the menu next time. My coworker ordered a Delmonico steak, and it came with a baked potato. She said the steak was cooked right and very tender. All dinners came with roasted peppers, bread, and salad. The salad was mediocre (Iceberg lettuce, black olives, onions, tomatoes). In my opinion, I do think their dishes are overpriced compared to other good Italian restaurants in the area. The service was good. If you're in a hurry, it is not the place for you because our food took an hour or longer to come out. They have a big dining area and a tiny bar area.
