I really really want the pistachio coconut to come back, best popsicle I've ever had!!

My mom and I had been shopping around Hyde Park and needed to get a break from the heat. What better way than getting fancy popsicles! When we entered we were greeted by a sweet girl who was working behind the counter. We looked over the menu and had a few questions of the different flavors offered. With what we wanted, she suggested the Elvis. We decided to get 2 of those. I noticed there was even 21+ boozey popsicles as well. The long row filled with tons of flavors is a nice setup. Check out was an easy process. Inside there is a few tables in the front and a few other bistro type tables along the length of the store. We grabbed a spot inside. The popsicles were yummy. It was a combination of peanut butter and banana. We have been in our banana phase getting everything fruity banana so this was on brand for us. It didn't melt too fast and was pleasant to eat. I liked the art on the walls and the whole vibe of the place. Thanks for the great ice treat! read more

As long as you stick to the basic flavors with your choice in popsicle, this place is great. The flavors are really good and the popsicles are always fresh. They do have some really wild flavor combinations that aren't really to my taste, but then they've got fun ones like blueberry cheesecake and the forest berry one I had. The shop is pretty small. So I usually pick up to walk with, but if you're lucky you might get a little seat near the windows without being in the way of people walking in and out. read more

We "popped" in to The Hyppo after doing a little bit of shopping at the Village. The shop is cute and cozy with ample seating indoor. The Village also has plenty of seating outdoors if you prefer to enjoy your popsicle outside. The Hyppo offers a wide variety of flavors from classic like vanilla and chocolate to more adventurous like pineapple cilantro and strawberry datil. They also offer a ton of dairy-free options. There's something for everyone! I just wish they provided samples. I don't remember all of the flavors we got. I think I opted for some type of coffee or horchata while my family opted for more fruity flavors. They were all delicious and the flavors were on point! Staff was friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable. I highly recommend The Hyppo if you're looking for fresh tasty pops! read more

Great location with parking for free in the garages nearby. Little sitting inside however there's plentiful seating outdoors throughout Hyde park. The popsicles are out of this world! There are so many flavors that you wouldn't think could be combined and taste good, and I'm constantly proven wrong! I decided to get a guava mango flavor after some studying and it was very refreshing and flavorful, I definitely recommend! read more

Just as dependable as their St. Pete location. Fantastic selection of delicious, light popsicles. I don't even like popsicles but I make it a point to come here when I visit. Fruity or creamy are both fantastic. Service is friendly and the interior is cozy enough. Definitely recommended. read more

I tried this place for the first time while walking around Hyde Park, and I was amazed by all the flavors (fruits, chocolate, alcohol-infused, etc.). The staff were super friendly with helping me pick out a flavor, and I ended up getting Nutella. The popsicle was good, but I wished I tried their fruit flavored ones! read more

I heard about this cute shop from my family so I was intrigued to try it out! The Hyppo is located within the Hyde Park Village shopping area and it's pretty small so if you're not paying attention you might miss it. They've got a cute entrance to catch your eye with a neon sign and a chalkboard hippo! Inside they have a large case full of different flavors ranging from simple ones like chocolate to interesting ones like apple honey goat cheese! The coolest thing about this place though is they have popsicles for the 21+ crowd that have alcohol in them! So if you're planning to spend a good bit of time in the area you should try it out! For our popsicles we ordered the strawberry cheesecake and strawberry lemonade flavors. Mine tasted exactly like fresh squeezed lemonade with natural strawberry flavoring (5/5), while my husband said his tasted not exactly like strawberry cheesecake but was still very tasty (4/5)! The Hyppo is perfect for the coming hot days in FL, so whenever you're visiting Tampa be sure to stop by! read more

The flavors were not good at all. My kids didn't enjoy it at all. I feel like I truly wasted my money. We threw away two of the 3 and the one that was maybe a tiny bit ok still was just ok. We got mango, watermelon slice and rocket pop. Rocket pop was just ok other two were terrible. It's a cute place. Normal service. But pops were not good. read more

Stopped in after an evening stroll on Bayshore boulevard. It wasn't crowded but people going and out. So many flavors to choose from but I opted to try the cashier's personal fave, the mango mojito. It was so refreshing...especially with the bits of mint. I got the watermelon for my 3 year old but she struggled to finish it. Only after I cashed out, I noticed there were kids size popsicles, perfect for my toddler. I was disappointed that the cashier didn't inform me of the size options so I took a star off. read more

This is the cutest popsicle shop that I have ever seen! Everything is fresh, made in Saint Augustine and sent over to them. The girls were fabulous at explaining the favors in the back and giving us suggestions! I wish that we were not so far from home because I would've loved to have taken one of each! They range from about 350 to maybe five dollars, and they are worth every single penny. They have amazing flavors and some even include dairy. This is a must stop when you were in this area, we stumbled upon it but I feel like I had heard about it before in the past from friends. I was so happy that we were able to find this place because it was so hot outside and there was such a wonderful treat that did not make you feel guilty about it because everything was fresh. Hyppo pops are the perfect treat when I want something light but still want to feel like I'm having dessert. I'm dairy free and my typical struggle with popsicles is that I'm typically stuck with fruity flavors that aren't creamy at all, and are so overbearingly sweet. I've had multiple Hyppo pop flavors, but I continuously go back to the Phoenix. It's 3 layers - strawberry, mango, and coconut, and it's so thick and creamy that the texture made me triple check that it was dairy free! read more

This is the perfect place to visit after lunch or dinner in Hyde Park Village. Lot of park benches to chill (literally) while enjoying the million flavors this place offers. The number of flavors is mind blowing. Think it took me about eight minutes to decide on that day's flavor. I would say this is half the fun followed by the fun of enjoying the treat. Flavors are all different prices with most ranging between $3 and $4. Some even have alcohol in them, although you aren't going to get drunk eating these popsicles, it is a cool touch for those over 21. read more

I like the Hyppo. I've been in St. Augustine, and I love the variety of flavors available. This location is in Hyde Park Village, which is nice if you happen to be there for dinner, you can walk over for dessert. Or (if you're like my family), your party can get cupcakes, popsicles, Italian desserts or ice cream, so everyone can get what he/she wants, within a few steps of each other. My kids couldn't pass by the Hyppo without going in. My son wanted the watermelon popsicle, and my daughter wanted the blueberry pineapple. I tried some of her paleta, and it tasted exactly like blueberry and pineapple. My son described his watermelon popsicle as tasting like eating a watermelon, so he was a huge fan. Prices are pretty high, especially if you're used to going to Mexican paletas shops and getting similar products for $2-3. Parking in Hyde Park Village can be a nightmare, although there are free parking structures nearby. I wouldn't make the Hyppo the sole reason for heading to Hyde Park Village, but if I were in the neighborhood and in the mood for a fruity treat, it'd be a good option. read more

The Hyppo is a trendy popsicle shop in a trendy shopping plaza in trendy Tampa. I came in with a friend of mine to get a snack as we waited for a table to open up at a nearby restaurant. The shop has dozens of premade popsicles in various different flavors. My friend got a berry flavor while I opted for the coconut. It was tasty but at nearly five dollars I don't find it particularly worth it. But this being my first time in Tampa and I'm that are I am willing to say I have no idea if that was cheap or expensive. It taste alright though and I could see it being a cute addition to a date for some. read more

I've been wanting to try Hyppo for the longest time. They have several locations one of them is in St. Pete. I always ask the cashier what they recommend. She recommended Strawberry Lemonade, Cranberry Apple, and Pumpkin Cheesecake. None really sounded appetizing to me I wanted something more exotic. I went with Guavana or Soursop. It was very yummy! It was not sour at all. It had the perfect hint of sweetness. Not too much. I would definitely come back again to try different flavors. read more

Got desert before dinner. They have 20+ flavors. I like sour anything fruit so I ended up getting the blueberry lavender lime. Solid. The kids all got strawberry cheesecake. Roughly ~4 dollars a pop so they aren't cheap. But definitely worth it. Besides we were on vacation and I wanted to treat the kids. Hyppo is also located in a cute little shopping area very walkable called Hyde Park Village. So if you haven't been, definitely check it out. Highly recommend. read more

I walked here 1 mile in 90 F from Kennedy/Dakota bc I was worried about not getting parking near this joint. That's how dedicated I was to trying this place. Also, by walking in the hot sun , I was making sure I earned those sweet treats. Method Acting at its finest. Brando would be proud. The Hyppo is a cute popsicle shop in the Hyde Park shopping district and is across the street from sprinkles cupcakes. It is a small place (thankfully air conditioned. They claim to use all natural ingredients. They have helpful notations to show dairy and non dairy items which is useful for lactose intolerant folks. What drew me to this place was the wacky and varied flavors not normally associated with popsicles. Popsicles to me were kind of low priority as a kid, even lower than ice cream. I dont think Ive had a popsicle in more than 10 years. Yet, I actually bought 3 in one sitting here. Mexican Hot Chocolate - 5/5 . This was the "Salma Hayek" of flavors. Chocolate, cinnamon, and spice were all potent elements. My favorite Mango Habanero- 4/5. Not as spicy as the above but very good. The creaminess and sweetness is accentuated by the heat. Pumpkin Pie - 3/5 Just ok. It IMO it tasted like a sugar free dessert with aspartame. Pumpkin flavor is there but I didnt love it as much as the others. They have a stamp card which gets you one after 8 pops IIRc. The shop was clean and the employee was very nice and patent wen answering my plethora of questions. They cycle the flavors frequently which is nice. Pops are $4. Alcoholic ones are $4.75. You can dip any in chocolate for an extra $1. Cons No bathroom. (Be careful when bringing your grandparents) Overall: A great dessert place that levels up the popsicle game read more

Shut the front door and get me back to Tampa... more specifically Hyde Park to walk around and get an ice pop. I know I know an ice pop but what kinda ice pop? I had a key lime ice pop. This pop was sooo good and so refreshing on a hot May day. So many selections to choose from that it was almost impossible for me to decide. Wow. The young ladies who were in the shop were more than patient with me trying to decide. I think next time I return I'll be more prepared on what to get. Maybe I won't be. ha. Who knows? But is it worth it? You betcha! Can't wait to come back! read more

I don't know about y'all but popsicle spots are the best, especially on a hot summer day! While in Hyde Park, my family and I came across The Hyppo! Of course we stopped in. They had lots of flavors to choose from. I asked a few questions regarding flavors and then we all began to pick on. I got some kind of mixed berry, my mom got Riesling Pear, and my husband got something with Mango. My moms pear popsicle was the best! Yes, they infuse some of their pops with alcohol. This is the first popsicle shop I have seen do this. It was unique and gave an interesting flavor. Overall, The Hyppo is a great place to stop for a cool treat on a hot summer day! read more
