Hunt Club has probably my favorite live music patio in Tulsa with multiple levels to enjoy a show from and a diverse lineup of artists that come through the place, with a heavy emphasis on local/regional artists. The inside bar is one of my absolute favorites as well. It's not quite a dive but far from a designer bar. Just a nice comfortable neighborhood hang with friendly bartenders who've been there for ages. As of this review they have a third party offering Mexican food until late night, but I know it's changed a few times over the years. This particular vendor has the standards, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and they're pretty solid. Be sure you check out their website or Facebook for a schedule of what's happening, because it will also let you know if there's a cover that particular night. read more

I'm sorry but I don't understand how a bartender (specifically Sarah) can expect someone to tip them when they let a patron sit at the bar waiting for them to serve them while they laugh it up with their coworkers. From over the years I've been visiting The Hunt Club, I only recall going hard on their wings. I was informed Masa is now serving their empanadas so now it's my new regular when I come visit. I got 3 empanadas (3 for $10): Pabellón, TCB & Veggie. Pabellón - Beef, black beans & sweet plantains (Light Orange) The beef wasn't as dominant (a great thing for me since I'm trying to eat better/chill on my bad habits) while the beans & plantains did exactly what they needed to do. Very good, with or without the chimichurri sauce. TCB - Thai chilis, basil & chicken (Red) Just like the beef on the previous empanada, the chicken wasn't dominant while the chilis & basil did their thing. Wasn't spicy (it takes a lot for something it be spicy for me), was definitely flavorful. Veggie - Black beans, kale, quinoa & corn (Dark Purple) This was my favorite one out of my order & it was by a landslide. PACKED with quinoa (never realized how much I loved till then). Corn, beans & kale complemented everything so well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I haven't had Masa in a minute & this was a reminder of what I enjoyed when I saw their food truck out & about. Seriously, you can't go wrong eating any them with or without the sauce (I really don't know which way is better...). To those who aren't able to catch their food truck, coming to Hunt Club is your best bet. Outside of the food, The Hunt Club has been extremely local with their events + live music. We completed a crawl, and this was the second stop on our route. I won a $2 shot. The shot was bad. It could have been better if iced. I explained this to the bartender, and she dismissed me. We also ordered drinks. Nothing was free at this bar as part of the crawl. The male bartender was great, but the female was rude. They said a band would be playing later. I have no idea where they play because this place is so small, and it's way too hot to be outside. With so many places downtown, skip this one. read more

Typically, a good place. Tonight was brutal. Spent 1-2 hours hanging out with friends. As soon as I go to the bathroom, removed my full beer and pretended like I wasn't even there...jacket was on my seat, beer covered, and again, had been sitting in the same seat for hours. Then a female bartender acts like I was never there and says with attitude, 'It's my problem for going to the bathroom.' No one should frequent this place and that woman should not be in the business. Go somewhere else. They don't give a shit here. read more

My last visit here was a disappointment. The staff was rude. Was hoping for a better experience, but that wasn't the case.

Tonight was amateur comedy night. We arrived a few minutes before seven. The place is long and narrow decorated with animal heads, thus The Hunt Club. The bar is towards the back with booths lining one wall and high tops down the middle. The show was a little late starting so we ventured to the patio to check it out. Let me say this is a pretty cool set up! The level immediately out the door has tables and a stage. Then you can go up a level to another patio deck. Again more tables but instead of a stage it's a view of the stars and some string lighting. It's a much more intimate area than the others. Back down we went. The show was decent. Some were funny others were a work in progress. The bar offers all the standard drinks but tonight was Wednesday White Claws for $3! When you approach the bar make sure to look up at the ceiling. Dollar bills with writing are stapled above. This is a nice casual spot that I can't wait to come back to enjoy the patio and some bands in the warmer months! read more

The Hunt Club is one of the bars/concert venues I visit most frequently. I've seen people complain in reviews about the sound, and, really, that isn't ever the venue's fault. It doesn't have a house PA. Any time anyone performs, it's because one of the artists that night brought the PA...and those can be pretty difficult to tweak yourself. Thankfully, if the musicians are outside, you can watch and listen from the 2nd floor and escape some of the volume. If they are inside you can sit further back, and it not be quiiiiite as overpowering. Although this is by and large a concert venue/bar (at least times I go), they do have some delicious pita and humus...which is handy because more often than not, even when I go out to eat, I like to eat as healthy as possible. This isn't to say their Frito chili pie isn't also delicious...I don't order it as often, but, I'm just sayin, it never lets me down. I had some bbq once too that was divine. Finally, their bartenders are great, and their alcohol selection is fairly lengthy. I encourage that you give them another chance if you've not visited in a while...and maybe take some tissue to stuff in your ears just in case you need ear plugs, haha (I do that at most concerts I attend.regardless :p) tip- If you anticipate needing cash (to buy merch from a band or use for your beer or food or whatever), bring it beforehand...the ATM charges a hefty fee. read more

I came here on Thursday, "ladies night", only because my boyfriend's roommate's girlfriend (confusing, I know) wanted free beer. So, being a lady myself, I did enjoy these free libations. I believe it was Miller Lite or something uninteresting like that. The band was WAY too loud so I spent my time watching middle-aged women be embarrassingly tipsy and texting the people that I came with since I couldn't hear. If you have to get food here order BBQ. Their chef is a pit-master who has studied under the likes of Watermelon Slim, Claremont JuBeau, and Remy Renfroe. That settles the pita issue, who gets a gyro at a bar anyway? I will admit though they used to have really good white mac n' cheese with diced hot link mixed in but they must have changed the cheese recipe because the flavor isn't nearly as good as it used to be. They serve a good variety of beer and liquor. Every time I have been in they have had a drink special so you may want to go back Ben. They serve Tulsa's own Marshall Brews so definitely try one of those if you've never had one. The staff behind the bar is always super friendly and the cocktail waitresses are really efficient as well. I will agree on weekdays and can be slow but then again it is a week day....get a life. They carry a really good IPA - Caldera. If you enjoy "hoppy"beers give this a try, the double hop amount is almost masked by a slightly fruity taste making this one potable ale. They almost always have shot and beer specials, if your wanting to try a delicious shot ask them for an Irish Breakfast, which tastes like pancakes, syrup, and orange juice. They do generally have a cover on nights bands or disc jocks are playing. read more

Used to come here all the time to eat delicious frito chili pie and potato skins. I was really sad to see the menu had changed. While flat bread pizza sounded amazing, I was left very unimpressed. The pizza was a great size for the price, but the flavor was lacking. The queso was alright, but the chips were warmed up from a plastic bag (Tostitos anyone?). Please bring back the old menu...it was a lot better!! read more

Come for the drinks NOT the food. I agree with the reviewer below...the gryo meat was very very average. And since when did raw onions become the the center piece of a gyro? The service was very good, I must say. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. Too bad I can't give the same kudos about the food. The menu items were the typical bar staples (sliders, sandwiches, chips & queso, etc...). It's tricky to rate a place like this b/c it's first and foremost a bar...but wow, hire a new cook! There are so many bars out there now that can crank out awesome food to accompany a beer & cocktail...The Hunt Club isn't one of them. My suggestion would be just to sick with the booze and get your grub on somewhere else. read more

Its location is outstanding: within walking distance of the baseball stadium, Guthrie Green, the Cain's Ballroom, the cave-llike Club 209, the restaurants and clubs like Lafa and Caz's. The Hunt Club's logistics will serve you well as a rally point that's easy to find. The atmosphere is unpretentious and friendly, particularly the staff. Its breezy outdoor deck on the 2nd & 3rd story rooftops is choice in the sunshine and at night. Rooftop decks can be hard to come by in any city. read more

1 star because I left this place feeling like a piece of %&$#. Allow me to explain: This bar was empty. Granted it was a Sunday night, but the other places around it had at least 10-15 times more people. The bartender was one of those kinds that only looks at you to take your order and then puts his back toward you to watch the TV. I am literally sitting at an empty bar by myself and this guy ignored me for almost 15 minutes straight. I tried a new IPA (First IPA I had ever seen in a can so it naturally roped me right in) that was really gross but only $4. I told him I didn't like the beer and wanted to close out my tab. He told me the minimum credit card charge was $10. (I am very opposed to minimum credit card charges, but that is a different topic entirely. DEFINITELY a pet peeve.) The problem in this case was HOW I was charged the $10 minimum. He gave me a bill for $4 and he told me "you need to put $6 in the tip line". I did what he said but promised myself immediately to never go back. I ended the night by writing him a little note reminding him that he needs to EARN people's business. read more

I used to really like this place, the burgers were very good. Just came back to find out the menu has changed to wings, queso and pizza only. The wings were not that bad but the pizza was. I was with a group and got to try two different pizzas, they both tasted like they were out of the freezer section at Walmart. Myself and two friends went to meet a large group of friends there. We each got the same thing: one Modelo Especial. We opened tabs bc we planned to be there for a while. After an altercation with a bar back, our group decided to leave bc the entire staff was rude to our group. We tabbed out and each of us 3 were charged different: one $5, one $11, and one $20. Again, we each only had one Modelo Especial. We were denied disputing the charges with the bartenders. Our group of 20 plus had several incorrect charges and will not be coming back to this establishment. read more

I have come here a couple times before I go to shows at Cain's Ballroom because it is just down the block. Frankly, I should be more conscious of the area because there is no good reason to return here. Their food is so-so but their drinks are really cheap. On the last night I visited, it was really busy and there was only one server who was also working behind the bar. She managed to keep up pretty well but seemed weird to have only one person working when they are very aware of when shows are at Cain's inferring that they will be having more business than usual. read more

Both of them so engrossed in watching movie on tv it was comical. Lots of customers waving hands even throwing paper wads trying to get bartenders attention. Great location just south of Cain's and in the heart of the Brady Art's District. They have huge patio set up that is great for live music. The bar itself is somewhat on the small side but the bartenders do their best to serve people as quickly as possible. If it's your thing, order the tall boy beers and enjoy. Hunt Club has a good "hole in the wall" feel without the small space. It's worth stopping in for a drink or three. read more

Went 2 the Hunt Club last night and it was A-OK. No beer specials which is a cardinal sin for a weekday for me, but a cover artist who asked for requests all night. Taxidermy was all over the walls in a classy way with glossed up tables. I had the Gyro. The pita bread was good but the meat was less than average. Prices were pretty good and the service was prompt and friendly. They have a patio for warmer months and hd tvs for sports. Overall not a bad place at all to spend an evening but it doesnt have that stand out factor to be a favorite. read more
