Absolute best breakfast in Shelby! Have been going here since I was a child! My children love the pancakes! The liver mush is my favorite

A hidden gem in Shelby at the back of a Pharmacy. Reasonable prices. Great food. One of the best breakfasts around. Try the pancakes!

Sort of reminded me of an old diner that had be renovated to a clean upscale vibe. We ordered the steak kabobs and they were mouthwatering with flavor. My fiancee got an old fashioned and I got a rabbits foot, one of their craft gin cocktails. It was AMAZING, the gentleman's ice cube I believe was made with lavender so as it melted, your drink was even more flavorful and not watered down. He ordered the shiny duck and I the beef fillet and mashed potato. Both were also delicious, this is a farm to table spot so you know it's fresh. One thing which I didn't minus a star for was considering the price point I would think they would offer a vegetable with your meal. Few spears of broccolini or asparagus or carrots, just to make it feel a little more well-rounded of a plate. The were out of a few items being a busy day/night but we didn't mind. We will try them next go around. Our server Erin was just epic, great sense of humor and very attentive! We will be back again and make sure to sit in her section. Cheers to supporting local non chain restaurants!

We had mussels which were excellent and then split a short rib entrée, which was also great. This a very small restaurant but everything was fantastic.

Webb Custom Kitchen - Gastonia 10:45am Mothers Day…read more My son asked me where I wanted to go for Mother's Day. I had been to Webb a few times. I thought he would enjoy the theme, environment/vibe so that was my suggestion! Of course they didn't let us down lol! He was looking up the movie that was playing on the screen with Barbara Stanwick and a young Kirk Douglas. We loved the music they had playing as well so many memories wow what a throwback! We were seated upstairs and had a wonderful view of the screen, not to mention the activities in the kitchen down below. Really it's the best seat if you call for reservations! We ordered off of the brunch menu for main dishes, I told him he absolutely had to try a couple of the appetizers! We had fried green tomatoes, and the angry lobster to start. Both were absolutely wonderful and exactly what I expected so definitely consistent. We ordered two Benedict dishes. I got the crabcake Benedict and he got the eggs with ham. Everything was very good, but when it comes to crabcakes, I can't lie. Nothing compares to 131 main so the size of the Crabcakes - I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong. They were fresh, but too thin and the flavor and texture were not to my personal preference. The crab kind of got lost in all the other ingredients. I would definitely try a different dish next time. I ordered a side of bacon, perfectly cooked and great flavor. Along with the side of their mac & cheese, which has always been a favorite. I love the combination of cheeses that they use. It's such a treat! Lastly, we had to have their Parmesan truffle fries. Again consistent, excellent! They are always busy so reservations are required versus recommended to be honest. But we parked for free across the street because we were there early. Sadly, neither one of us had room for dessert, but their desserts are so good and the helpings are huge. Maybe next time!

However, I had the opportunity to get back with one of my besties this past week and it didn't disappoint! It's an intimate cozy setting with a mix of hightop tables and regular tables. I'd say the perfect place for couples or 2-3 people. We sat at a hightop and ordered some small plates to share: Korean Beef, tuna carpaccio, Larry's buns, and a pasta dish. All of the dishes were great, but I highly recommend the Larry's buns (bao buns). Ordering a few shareables was a perfect way to explore the menu and try several things. We also ordered a cinnamon roll for dessert. Service was good and there are no complaints there either. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience.

The service here is high quality without being stuffy and runs like a well oiled machine - water glass was never empty, finished dishes were promptly removed, courses well timed. Our server, Aaron, was wonderful and even made sure the dessert came out with a birthday candle. But, let's not forget the rest of the food.. For two of us we split a snack, two small plates, one large plate, and dessert. Every dish was so delicious I wouldn't be able to choose a favorite. - prosciutto and burrata - tuna carpaccio - catch of the day (grouper etoufee) - trout - chocolate pie Based off our meal, it doesn't seem like you can go wrong here. There's a reason why it's a long standing CLT favorite.
