I love this B&B! I don't write reviews often unless I really love or hate a place and this place is definitely the former. Staying here is like staying at a friends house. Mike and Rowena are fabulous, warm and welcoming. The rooms are big and bright with nice large windows. I've been traveling around Europe for over a month now staying in hotels in Malaga, Paris, London, Brugge and Brussels and have not found a single hotel that can come close to this one. Especially the beds. They are really comfortable with fabulous feather pillows. There is a lovely bar in the atrium that Mike hosts at night which is warm and inviting. I'm traveling alone and tend to stay in at night but I ended up staying up late sitting at the bar laughing and talking with Mike and Rowena and several of the other hotel guests. Whatever you do, don't skip the breakfast. In addition to fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, cereals, cheeses, and an assortment of breads, there is a menu for hot items that Mike cooks as ordered. Simply amazing! For the practical part, if you come by car, no problem. There is free parking on site. If, as I did, you come to Bath by train, take the 267 bus from the main bus station in Bath and it will deposit you in front of the restaurant next door. It takes about 30 minutes by bus to get here. read more
