We very much enjoyed our stay there. It's location was convenient, in that we just needed to walk a mere 7-10 minutes to the downtown area, the Abbey, the Roman Baths, and a really lovely Nepalese place to eat.
We really enjoyed returning to the hotel after dinner and having a pimms in the lounge (which was a first for my wife) while chatting with other guests doing the same. The breakfast was quite nice the next morning.
The only negative we found was that on the day we were there was a heat wave and no AC in the room. Our lovely view had to be shaded in the afternoon when the sun was beating through the window. And the bed was small, yet firm, which I've found in England to be the norm.
I'd definitely go back. Just next time I'll ask if they have a King bed in any of the rooms, as I'm a big guy. read more
