Love this Home Depot, it's our go-to for anything we need for the house. They have a great holiday selection during the season for trees and lights. I especially love the kids workshops they do on the first Saturday of every month! They have great instructors that show the kids how to craft something magical! Home Depot is one of the places where you can look back and see the decline of their customer service over the years. My partner and I spent over an hour in there today getting supplies for a project - only one of the 25ish employees we saw offered to assist us. No other employees so much as looked at us. No greeting. No "are you finding everything okay?" And nothing but indifference when we asked for assistance. Going to Home Depot is somewhat of a necessity for supplies, which is unfortunate. I generally prefer Ace, but HD generally has a better price point and selection - but it doesn't matter if you can't locate what you're looking for and nobody will assist you. They might as well just automate this entire store. Oh, and the garden center is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate with a cart. They have so many pallets and extra products in the middle of the aisles and on the ground that you can't push even a regular cart through. read more

You just can't seem to get your credit card system working. That's bad but the fact that your employees don't know how to handle it is even worse. I'm just a customer but I know that when your credit card doesn't work, you go to customer service and they issue your 10 day shopping pass. This is irritating every time you go in and the last time it was scary because after we went through all the monkey business, they issued me the pass, and somehow the balance on my account put in as my credit limit so then when I tried to use it, it would not work. Because of this later on, I spent a good half hour on the phone with Vive Financial. read more

My husband bought a rolling tool bench and when he got home realized it was damaged. The return was easy however a challenge because the box is very very heavy. Once he got the replacement all is good. About 3 weeks after he bought it, the item went on sale. Today we returned and they gave him a credit of $55 which was the current sale price of the item. Thank you for sending your best man, John, to install my porch carpet on Friday, 5/13/2022. The agent was Western States Flooring. Friday morning John courteously phoned to say he was en route and arrived shortly. There was ample room for his vehicle and trailer. John worked diligently all day and did A-plus work. I am very impressed with his thoroughness and attention to detail. He cleaned up the work area above and beyond. The extra material was neatly rolled and placed by the front door. Worst Home Depot ever! I needed some electrical wire & a wood board. I waited at least 10 mins for the electrical guy's help without acknowledgement. All wire is kept locked up. They had to bring it to the registers while I continued to shop. I then waited a good 15 min for a lumber guy who could cut my board in half. I found one guy who said he'd call for help. Same 5-10 mins later. Another long wait & I searched for someone else who came & cut the board. I used self help at the register & had to find someone to get my wire. They couldn't find it & had to call electrical to come & show them where it was. Screw these understaffed brick & mortar places that refuse to pay enough to maintain a viable staff. I have used this store for years. with the recent shoplifting crisis and staffing crisis it is no longer as good as it was. I have twice done self-checkout and was followed out by a female staff member who basically accused me of stealing. I let them rummage through my purchases but there is a difference between requesting a receipt at check-out and basically saying, "did you really pay for all this?" (yes, these were their words). Once done wasting my time (and theirs) they do not even apologize or explain. Some of their staff are as good as always but some are lazy and disengaged. tried to buy sinks and countertops recently and the woman was outright angry that i was inconveniencing her at her computer. was she even working? or just doing social media? i second what others on here said, that it's hard to get help in that store now. suggestions to avoid all this: 1. insist that a staff member serve you at check-out - do not check out yourself - make them do their jobs 2. use your phone or body cam and record, then post any inappropriate behavior on the web 3) there is a Lowe's across the street. it's sort of hidden but it's right there. 4) for my disappointment with HD's service when it comes to countertops and sinks I contacted Caesarstone directly, got samples (none offered at HD anyway) and got a good installer to order them for me. These folks are selling merchandise that are faulty/lemons and once you have purchased and had items delivered, once in your door they will tell you any problems past 48 hours is the manufacturers issue. Pretty interesting considering they are running a return anything for 90 days with your receipt campaign. Past that time frame you are on your own and all they have to say is "Sorry". Yes I say, sorry for putting my hard earned money into this "sorry" store posing as a business that actually cares about its customers, lesson learned and will shop elsewhere and tell anyone who will listen to do the same. Lowe's took 3 men over a hour to figure out how to change the chain on a chainsaw sold by them. Then, couldn't get the military discount unless you go online and apply. Don't they know it's illegal to copy a military ID. All you have to do at Home Depot is show your ID. The checkout lady had an I don't care attitude. Ill never shop Lowe's again. My spouse doesn't like to come to Home Depot. It I love coming here, they have all I need to do stuff around the house, makes me useful in my spouses eyes heheh,, and their return policy is also reasonable and good, as long as you have the receipts but even if you lost them they'll still take the product back they just will give you back the store credit on their card. Once upon a time this was an excellent store. Unfortunately with changes in management and the changing times it seems the floor staff it is even less willing to answer a customer questions, and direct them correctly to where items are. I am a Muslim woman that wears a scarf, and I try to approach approximately 3 Floor personnel ask them where the padlocks were located and it seem they took one look at me and headed towards the back of the store. I finally got an answer out of at cashier who sent me of course to the wrong aisle. I tried to ask to speak with someone in management to register report about the customer serviceand she didn't seem interested in pursuing it with a manager for me. I believe with the current political issues this is going on in the in the country this is just not a good store for women to shop at. i went to get a quart of custom colored paint about 2:00 pm on Monday. one person at the order counter waiting for her paint. i stood next in line for 20 minutes. the two customer service clerks never acknowledged i was there. they were busy mixing paint for previous orders. but it would take a minute to take my order and i could have done other shopping and came back later to pick it up. i finally left and went to another paint store. these people are in serious need of training. read more

Typically, I avoid Home Depot because I generally have unpleasant experiences at my neighborhood Home Depot (the El Con store - which has some of the most unhelpful and incompetent staff I've ever encountered). However, I have been to this location several times now, each time leaving a happy customer. First - their garden center is fantastic. They have an enormous selection of everything from cactus to fruit trees to bedding plants to vegetable plants, plus a nice selection of indoor plants. They carry a large selection of boxed trees (for us impatient folks who don't want to have to wait for our mesquite trees to mature on their own). Their plants all appear to be healthy and well cared for, and there are plenty of staff available to help lug those ginormous bags of compost out to your car for you. They also have a pretty large selection of parts for drip irrigation systems (which might seem like a weird thing to point out - but if you're a do-it-yourselfer who has decided to take on automatic irrigation systems, you'll appreciate this!). As far as big box hardware stores go, the garden center at this store takes the cake. Speaking of staff, this location seems to have hired some good ones. I never have had trouble finding someone to help out, and most of the staff seem to know what they're talking about when you ask questions. Check out is generally a breeze as well. However, the thing that compelled me to write this review today was my experience with their tool and equipment rental selection. We discovered a leak at one of our rental properties this morning, and since we weren't sure when the water damage contractors would be able to get there, we started trying to extract the water ourselves. Being it was a Sunday, all of the specialty construction rental companies were closed - and as a last ditch effort, I decided to try this Home Depot to see what they had on hand. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they carried everything I was looking for, from water extracting vacuums to blowers to dehumidifiers. Awesome! When the contractor finally arrived, even he was a bit surprised to learn that Home Depot stocked something as random as a dehumidifier. This Home Depot is officially my new favorite home improvement store. I'll be driving out of my way to shop here from now on! read more

My experience with the Home Depot on Oracle in Tucson has been: 1. purchase and install French doors; 2. attempt to buy interior doors; 3. attempt to buy Andersen windows; 4. purchase and install quartz countertops; 5. garden and shopping. French doors by Andersen took 4 months; installation was poor and had to be redone, although the installer fixed the problem within two weeks. The door came damaged in shipping so new parts had to be ordered, still waiting. The counters were ordered in April; installed in September. When I asked for additional counters to be installed later the salesperson said it would take 8 months; the process took less than 8 weeks. Uninformed sales people in countertops, they know little about the product and actually refused to call the installer on my behalf at the outset. At Oracle store January 2022 worked with one salesperson to select interior Jeldwyn custom doors: He failed to send me email bid as promised and never returned calls after I paid for a measurement. In May I returned and worked with a salesperson to re-select doors, paid for a second measurement (they don't keep info for more than 90 days). She said she would give info to another salesperson and didn't. Salesperson who had ordered the measurement appeared clueless about the doors themselves, no confidence in his accuracy or knowledge. It's October and I still have no doors due to poor sales staff and management. Tried to order 100 series of Andersen's. Could not reach salesperson. Turns out he works for Amazon which Home Depot has subcontracted and he retired. No replacement, no follow up with the account, no answer to emails to the department. Have no windows and will go with Milgard. Do not go to the Oracle Home for home improvement: both the sales staff and the installers fall short consistently, with high turnover. They lost $10,000 worth of business due to poor communication and incompetence. As for shopping they do have knowledgeable people on the main floor but not in the garden area. Limited selection of plants but good prices on terra cotta planters. read more

I went in to buy a glass sliding door I found online. Eddie, was sitting at his desk. I stopped and waited, he didn't acknowledge me. I finally spoke first. He was irritable and made little eye contact. I explained what I needed and showed him the door on my phone. He was very disrespectful towards me. He put words in my mouth, making me appear argumentative. He called Lowes to see if they carried what I needed. He told me they had it in stock and sent me to their store. Lowes told me they had explained to him they only had one and it had damage. Eddie did not tell me this. I ordered the door thru Lowes. They were helpful and gave me discounts to make it affordable. I am doing alot of work on my home and have made several trips to this Home Depot. I have been directed to wrong aisles or just ignored. I definitely would not recommend this store. read more

Normally I wouldn't rate a home store a 5 but I'm very aware of the rivalry between Home Depot and Lowe's, and in the past Home Depot would have rated a 2 and Lowe's a 5. But the tables have turned....severely! I've recently made 3 trips to Home Depot, with the first 2 trips consisting of comparable trips to Lowe's and I was just absolutely floored by the upward change of Home Depot and the obvious downward spiral of Lowe's. On all 3 occasions, I went into Home Depot expecting no one to help me at all, but there were more than enough people that assisted me in all areas of the store. I was VERY pleased with customer service. Not only that, they were incredibly friendly and I ended up joking around with several of them! Totally different review of Lowe's. No help. No one asked. No one around. Period. I actually had to have some one paged to ask for assistance. The second HUGE difference was in what they carried. Mind you, I was looking for small, somewhat obscure things. But both stores should have carried them. Ironically enough, on my first trip I couldn't find one of my list items at HD, so I put back the rest of my list and went to Lowe's so I could get it all there. They didn't have any of it!!! Not one thing on my list!! I was told that their stock had recently changed and they no longer carried some of the stuff I was looking for. SUCK! Back to HD!! Less then 2 years ago, I purchased a samsung stove and refrigerator. Spent $4000, and was very disappointed when the stove started giving me problems at 14 months. No warrantee after 12 mos. So trying to find a repair store to fix this very expensive stove, and after calling 7 different repair businesses, I finally found one that would come out to my house. The others all commented that they will no longer touch anything samsung makes, due to the poor quality of the product. How frustrating to have to call so many professionals, and they all feel the same way about the product. Spoke to Home Depot many , many times concerning each issue, and they said that they will do nothing. They kept referring me back to Sam sung.
