False Advertising! I took a long time comparing the right keyless door entry bolt for our home. Took one of the ton of slips they have under the floor samples. The slip says. "To purchase, take this card to any register near the main exit." The cashier said that they didn't have in stock. When I asked why would they have a bunch of these slips indicating it's available. She said that they're just informational slips, it doesn't mean they're in stock. I told her that's not what the slip says, it says to purchase bring this slip to the cashier. She was confused and said, "Let me go look. What isle is this in?" I pointed to the isle and said, "Right there by the keys." She said she would meet us there. We waited 10 minutes then we starters looking up the product on Amazon. Turns out the same product was $66 lower on Amazon. Due to the lower price, we went ahead and purchased the handle as well. The store worker never showed up. Long lines and bad customer service. Not going back. read more

Hayley is extremely rude. woman in customer service . i to return flooring and she said i couldn't return it without a receipt. i was there for an hour just trying to get her to help me. i just said oh well left. came back and the manager found my receipt in 1 minute. i came back for another rerun and she said i opened a package. nothing was open. she was very rude, condescending, and seemed like she didn't want to be there or help customers. if you show up and see hayley, please pick anyone else to help with your return. read more

This Home Depot location is the crappiest I have ever been to. RUUUUUUUDE staff and HORRIBLE supervisors/managers. Every seems like they don't wanna be there. My husband and I went to customer service and before we can even speak the African American worker was like "uh no you are not able to return that" no greeting to begin with NOTHING. We were so confused because we literally just had a question. There goes that... we drove all the way to Carrollton where we use to live since they have always treated us great. Went in for an order pick up after being ignored for 15 minutes the cashiers started taking other people instead of me even though I kept telling people I was in line they still insisted on cutting in front of me and the cashiers didn't do anything about it canceled the order and left I told them all to F off. I got called a lair on things I was trying to return but couldn't find receipt for or they say I exceeded my limit so I go pick out what I came for and when I tell the lady what's going on at the checkout and she makes me hunt down the lady who did the original refund. The very worst customer service. The staff is totally incompetent, especially when it comes to setting up appointments for installed products. It took me at least 5 trips to the store to set up a measure for carpet - constant excuses and being asked to come back to speak to so and so -because no one working knew how to set the appointment. Now I've been in 3 time's trying to set up a measure for an exterior door. Last Saturday not one of the 3 employees helping one customer in doors and windows knew how to schedule the appointment and sent me to customer service - customer service told me to speak to someone in doors and windows(!). This is almost funny. I explained the situation only to be told to call and speak to so and so which would be great if anyone ever answered the phone at Home Depot. Someone finally called me back and asked for payment for the measurements-I said that I would come in with my card and the person from Home Depot told me to come to the pro desk to make payment. What she failed to mention is the pro desk is closed on Sunday - and that's the day I went in. Please Home Depot - sell me the things I want to buy! Don't make it so difficult. You have a great lines of goods and services but an incompetent staff. I am beyond frustrated and wish I could buy this door somewhere else UPDATE. I went to the Mesquite Home Depot that same day and Gene in the Doors and set up my appointment request quickly and efficiently. Gene was surprised to hear that only one person at the Terrell location knows how to set up appt requests. Gene said he wishes they had called him because he would have walked them through the process and I'm sure he would have! The bad news is the door I wanted to purchase goes off sale today! I am a DAV and have for many years used my Veteran's discount at Home Depot. Saturday November 12, 2022 I went in and when I went to check out (using my Home Depot credit card), I presented my military ID. No "Thank you" from the clerk, just "We don't do that here any more." I addressed the issue with the manager the next day and got a LONG list of excuses but to make it short for here, he claims that it is Atlanta that made the changes and now, to get my discount I have to do things on line. Log into my account and print out something so that the store can give me the discount. NOPE! not going to happen. I went to Lowes in Forney and got my military discount AND my tax exempt (which Home Depot considers a discount and won't give me both) with no drama or on line garbage. I tend to be more of a Lowe's shopper than a Home Depot shopper because I want to go in, find what I need and leave. Lowe's tends to lean more to the average consumer, while Home Depot tends to lean more to advanced hobbyists and experts in the way the store is laid out. Still, now that I live in the woods, Home Depot is the closest large hardware store for miles so I'm really getting used to it. The staff is super friendly and very eager to help in any way they can. They have many experts working there - journeymen plumbers and electricians that will give you the low-down on how to fix just about anything you're working on. We recently bought a TuffShed storage building through this Home Depot. Marilyn is the woman to talk to here - she's been dealing with the TuffSheds for about 15 years and really knows the ins and outs. The building took a crew 2 days to build in our yard... and they did a masterful job. We could never afford to buy something like this as a single purchase - so Marilyn helped us out with financing through Home Depot. We don't make it in to Home Depot that often, but when we do, we often see her as we walk through and she still recognizes us and asks us how we're enjoying our shed. The folks here really get to know you and are genuinely happy to help you. read more

I was in search of a quality US Flag to replace my worn flag , but I could not find any in this store despite the online app showing 10 in stock. I was so impressed to receive outstanding customer service from Mandy at the Pro Desk. Despite being incredibly busy, she searched online as best she could and then arranged for another associate (I think it was Maria) to conduct a physical search who finally successfully found the missing flags. During checkout with Mandy, she also helped me quickly register for my Military Discount to complete a wonderful customer service experience instead of a frustrating and disappointing shopping trip. Came in here looking for a refrigerator and stove , couldn't find an associate to help me out for almost 40 minutes. When I did get some help the guy said we would have to pre order the product and wait 10 days for it to be delivered. That was a red flag right away for me. Also very messy store. So me and my family left and went to lowes and within 5 minutes we were helped and they had refrigerators in stock to take home that same day!!! I ordered new counters and signed a contract with Steve and Elisa; they had someone come to our house and take measurements then tell us they would begin the project the following week. After nobody showed up on the scheduled date, I was told someone would reach out to me after the weekend with more information. Steve will not respond to anything after the contract has been signed and It has been two and a half weeks since I have been able to speak with anyone else whose name is on the contract. I have never experienced such unprofessional customer service. I'm in a contract, so it's too late to get the money back, but hopefully, this helps someone else thinking about using them for a project. read more

I was in Terrell last weekend, working with my older brother to help my Mom move from Wills Point. We needed building materials and help. Since our time was limited on time - so quicker was better! In BOTH trips we made to the Home Depot, everyone working here was incredibly friendly and helpful. I one instance, we had to return several construction items (2x4s, 2 bags of concrete, OSV) and a gentleman outside on a forklift 'called in' the returns into their Returns Counter for us. We though this was GREAT because we could just leave the materials outside the Contractors entrance and get on with shopping. This helped us out tremendously! BTW...Who does this?? We were SO impressed with the service. In a separate trip, we were looking for a holder for brooms and one for yard tools. We asked a gentleman working there for help and he walked me right to the exact spot I needed. Two minutes later, he came back with 2 items 'from the back' that were discontinued - and he said "If you think these will work - then take 'em. They're FREE." "Well, hallelujah, THAT's my price point," I proclaimed! With the service being so quick and helpful here, I won't hesitate to come back. read more

Employees are working under tougher circumstances, however it taking an hour for 4 employees to finally determine that the store did not in fact have one of the 16 fans that it showed in stock online is ridiculous. Well first of all I ordered yesterday for store pickup and waited for confirmation that order was ready. This morning I called to see if my order was ready and was told "no". I said "Well I'm 20 miles from there and intended to get all of my shopping done today. " The lady said "I'm sorry but they have other orders ahead of yours ". I said "Well I guess I will have to come shop for items myself. The lady said she would cancel the order if I wanted her to and said I could stop by service desk and get a print out of where my items are located in the store. Once I got there and got the print out I couldn't make sense out of the locations of items . So when I asked a salesman to point out an item he said "Let me grab your items for you." One of the items was a huge heavy piece of lumber. He gathered all of my items asked me to wait at exit at lumber section and walked across store to service desk and got my receipt, then walked all the way back to lumber pickup exit and proceeded to deliver my items across parking lot and loaded heavy lumber in back of truck for me. His name is CHIP and if he is a great asset to Home Depot . Thank you CHIP for brightening my day. read more

Would give zero if possible. Went to get 4x4 post. Online states they had several hundred. Only one on shelf. Asked young guy and he states yeah we have them they are outside. It's going to be a little while. He the. Leaves and proceeds to help other customers. Saw another worker asked same question. He said ok. Then proceeded to walk around talking on radio and picking things up. After several minutes I asked is anyone going to get posts. He said yeah they are. Asked 2 people on forklift if they were busy. I walked the entire store as an amputee looking for a dolly to carry a screen door to the check out. Passed at least twelve employees. None of which said hello or even asked if I needed help. When I did finally get an employee to stop and asked where I could find a dolly. She pointed at the front and said ( some were out side) and walked away. The Terrell Home Depot is terrible! Bought a large riding lawn mower July 2nd but it wouldn't fit on our trailer. We had to schedule it for delivery on July 4th. It never arrived. When we called and asked where it was they said they messed up and it wouldn't be delivered that day so they rescheduled for delivery July 8th. Well July 8th came and the delivery arrived for us to learn the riding lawn mower is not working properly. We called the store and asked them to bring another one (there were two sitting outside). They refused to bring it to us same day and said it couldn't be delivered until July 11th. Come on!!! Wow just wow. The supervisor Regina was rude and didn't care that we have now waiting for our 6.5K lawn mower for nine days and it was obvious we were not a priority to her at all. My husband and I frequent Home Depot every weekend and spend a lot of money there. Sadly, I requested a refund on the lawn mower since it could not be delivered same day and for them to pick up their piece of crap. Looks like the drive to Forney to Lowe's will be worth it considering their customer service is priority and the products are functioning. Was a disgrace the Terrell Home Depot is! read more

Every once in awhile, there is someone helpful at this Home Depot. Most of the time, if you can find someone to help, they give you wrong answers. However, I recently had an interaction with a girl in the paint department that was disgustingly disappointing. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she didn't get enough sleep, but she appeared under the influence of something to me.
