The customer service is really good. The selection is above good. It has a lot of fun. I used to look at the flowers are always nice. The decoration for the season is always nice. There is a large shared parking lot but yet it is still difficult to find a parking spot I hate that you have those stupid doors. Enter an exit. The Home Depot in Shoreline by Costco has been our go-to home improvement/project supply store growing up and to present. As other stores such as Sears and Ace Hardware have come and gone, The Home Depot still is where we go for supplies we might find there. This includes (and has included), and is not limited to, tools, screws/washers/nails and the like, wood, paints, Christmas trees, and gardening supplies. More recently it has become our go-to place to buy corn for the critters of the back yard. The ears of corn can be variable in size and quality, however the squirrels, bunnies, and birds all eat it off the cob. Occasionally, the corn comes with moths in it, but they can be shaken out for the most part. Parking at the store is abundant and even when busy, a spot tends to open up before too long. There is also a place where one can pull up closer to the store and have worker(s) help load up larger items and pieces of wood. read more

I don't know why this location has such low rating. I frequent this location and the staff has always been friendly and helpful when checking out. Yeah I wish there is more coverage when I have questions but then again it's a huge place. The customer service department is pretty efficient with addressing questions and returns. Curb pick up is pretty good except just one time when no one delivered my order for curbside ‍ but does that ruined my day not really because I'm patient and a simple 40 steps to customer service solved the issue. If I could give negative stars, I would. I asked 5 different employees for help to find a large steel spike and furring strips. Not one of them knew what I was talking about even after describing the length of the spike using my hands, the diameter using my fingers and told them it would be made of solid steel. Then I tried asking for a breaker bar -- might as well have been speaking Ancient Greek. In the lumber department, no one knew what furring strips were, even when I said 1" x 2" x 8'. I was taken to the 2" x 4" s and 4' x 4"s. By then I had had to traverse the entire store several times, having been given incorrect locations for what I wanted and my hips and knees were screaming. Then! Then I went to check out and there was only self checkout! Didn't have a clue how to do that. At least there was a very young boy in that area who was willing to check my purchases out for me. Never again, Home Depot. No wonder folks order online From anyone else. read more

Attempted to redeem a giftcard. I was told I needed to have the physical gift card with me. Have home Depot employees not heard of e-giftcards?!?!?! Then when the cashier understood it was AN E GIFT CARD I was told that in order to redeem an e-giftcard I needed to present the full email (which would reveal my personal information, such as my email address). MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. So, when I tried again to present a screen shot of the gift card email (with my information not visible) that showed the giftcard number and the PIN, I was asked "where did you get card." Again--NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Here's the kicker: This was a giftcard I had already redeemed several times at this location and another. In this visit, I was using up the remaining .52 cent balance. That's right. FIFTY-TWO CENTS. So here's the thing, Home Depot. You as a private business can impose whatever ridiculous and onerous and privacy-violating conditions on your customers that you wish. But as a customer can just as easily go to Lowes if these are the types of policies you are now insisting on. However, I'm not sure these are actually your policies. I think I may have just encountered some real morons at your store today. Are these your policies? If yes, I will be switching to Lowes. If no, please respond back and clarify what your gift card policy is. Do you really need to ask me where my gift card came from? I gave him the specific aisle number where I was waiting. I waited over 20 minutes before I abandoned my cart and walked out of the store. Terrible experience. First, I needed to buy a list of things, and this store is vast. Impression was: a lot of young people on their phones not looking up to help actual customers. When they do finally help, they have to use an app to locate items. Maybe just make that available to customers since employees seem uninterested in helping. 2. Designer there was dismissive of my design idea saying flatly: "I would never do that." Well, project turned out great, despite his negative "design support." 3. Store allows pets. We have a golden retriever, whom we love and who I don't inflict on others by bringing him into the store. Just as well because on this visit, two pitbulls, owned by separate parties, started fighting at checkout. HD should not allow pets, IMHO. They have a bunch of PSAs about safety. If you want store to be and feel safer, don't allow pets. Never again. read more

All Home Depot has to do is talk to their own delivery co. They refuse to do that, and refuse to refund my money. They do not care at all about customer experiences. To Everyone who buys stuff at the Home Depot DO NOT BUY there Protection Plan or especially Any HOMES PROJECTS because they hired POOR Contractor to do your home and when troubles comes along there Warranty Departments will waste your time, ignore your call/message and email. This is when your Attorney step in to Settle your Claims. I have my Roof done 4 years ago by there contractor. At first when the roof was complete than came the rain I have them come out to fix it's several times. Now After 4 years my roof leaks called them and they said they don't do roof anymore and tell me to find a contractor and they pay for it. Finds 8 contractors all said the same things the roof put on not in accordance house code, sealing was poor and the roof CANNOT be REPAIR. Give them all information that my roof need Replacement Not Repair. 7-8 months after my roof Claim not Settle. I'm about to file Lawsuit. This is probably the best Home Depot I've been to. Every time I've visited, someone has always taken the time to ask if I needed help or if I've found everything I was looking for. The last time I was there to pick up a large and heavy online delivery, they offered to wheel it out and place it in the car. It turns out that it was actually the store manager (I think his name was Erik), that helped us out. Nothing but positive experiences at this location. I've been to other Home Depot spots where the workers can see I'm struggling with some heavy items, and they avert their eyes back to their cell phones. This Home Depot has the worst delivery service. When purchasing a $2800 refrigerator, the quality delivery and installing was not what they stated. If you have a plastic water line, they will say it needs to be copper. If it is copper luke mine, they will say it needs to be plastic. Anyway, they will not install the line. So, I had to pay a plumber to pull it out to attach the water line. Home Depot installers didn't bother to remove the cover of the door open sensor or leave the tray below the water dispenser. I had to go there to have one ordered from the factory. The bottom line is I did not have any saving purchasing from the Home Depot. Follow up - Problem resolved by myself. read more

They are very knowledgeable, and willing to answer all of my questions. This was the first (and last) appliance that I will purchase at Home Depot. I paid for delivery, installation and hauling away my old appliance. On the day of delivery, the installers explained to me that I needed a different kind of valve to install the dishwasher and so they were unable to do it. This would have been good to know ahead of time. I thought when I paid for installation, that would include parts, etc. So, they left my new dishwasher and did not install or haul away my old one. They did, however, explain, that a Home Depot representative would contact me and they could send another installer who could replace my valve-Great! They called-I returned the call only to hear from the man on the phone that my installation was cancelled and there was nothing he could do! REALLY?????!!!!! read more

I ordered a stack unit Washer/Dryer from Home Depot on 10/5. The earliest delivery date was 11/10. I hated to wait so long, but that was the schedule and I accepted it. Took the day off from work, gave my old washer/dryer to a neighbor last night and insisted it had to be picked up before the end of the night to make room. Got a call from the delivery folks earlier - someone had to get towed out of a muddy driveway, so my delivery is rescheduled for a week out. Initially it was a month out until I complained loudly. No excuse to not either make it happen tonight OR sooner than a week. I will never order large appliances from HD again. So frustrated with this lousy service! read more

home depot appliance delivery is useless. a disabled tenant at a building I work at had a washing machine delivered. her set up was the stackable kind with the dyer on top of the washer. 3! guys delivered the washer, took the dryer into the hall and left it there with their garbage and refused to reinstall it. the tenenat uses a freakin wheelchair but the delivery guys couldn't care less also, the delivery guys pretended that they knew what they were doing and lied, telling us that the existing staking kit was compatible - it definitely was not. they gave us a 2nd staking kit though and it was also incompatible! my coworker called the manager to complain but there was no humanity to be found there, just refusal to do anything about the dryer. there were THREE delivery guys and they couldn't lift a small dryer for a disabled person, just left her in the lurch, awful people, company and policies can't imagine a worse way to be or run a company AVOID! read more

So this has to do with the home delivery service... And important for anyone having something installed! We came in and bought and ordered a oven for one of our units as the old oven stopped working. They were able to install in a week which was a long time but we dealt with it. The building is older and when the delivery people came and pulled out the stove there was some old mouse droppings ( or something that looked like that ) behind the stove. They immediately stopped working and actually looked happy ( which was strange they didn't have any empathy). They said they couldn't continue to pull the stove out and install the new stove as its a city law and they don't want to get Hantavirus. Now I understand that this is health concern and had no problem with the fact that the area was possibly contaminated and told them I would bleach and clean the area. They said they would be back Wednesday ( in 48 hours required by law ) to install the stove and I told them to just unload the new stove in the kitchen and we will move the old stove outside. When I finished moving the stove out and cleaning the area I called and the delivery service Home Depot uses said they can't come back for a week. This is horrible customer service. Home Depot needs to tell customers upfront to clean and what to expect when having a appliance installed. As with older buildings this is probably quite common. We had to pay someone to hook up the new stove (was a easy job but had to hook the cord up and wires and I didn't want to risk messing it up ). The old stove sat outside for a week in which all the guys had to do is haul it away. Their prices are good and in store experiences have been ok. We paid a good price for the stove. But the delivery situation was a mess- Get it together Home Depot and for stove installation ( anything that has to be pulled out that might be dirty behind ) tell your customers to ensure the area behind is clean and free of any debris to avoid this happening again.. read more
