    Correctly priced each individual item

Worst customer service. I was shopping here and tried to buy an item that was mis marked by staff. The manager rudely accused me of asking for a discount for purchasing an item that was mis priced by staff. Terrible accountability and customer service after he admitted that it was the stores fault and blamed the customer. What a joke, manager is a terrible example for his team.

Quick quarantine update: Home Depot has several COVID-19 protocols in play. There are plexiglass surrounding the self-checkout kiosks, and several sanitation stations at the entrance and exit of the store. You can find all sorts of stuff for your home and The Home Depot. I sometimes like coming here over Menards, although I feel like Menards have better prices. But, in terms of selection/variety, The Home Depot has Menards beat. And, there's the Home Depot "smell" -- a sweet mixture of freshly chopped wood, and saw dust. Mmm, mmm, good. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located past the home/kitchen displays, the bathroom is super spacious and clean. I guess they have all they need to renovate/update the bathrooms here. Sit or squat? Sit!

Whatever your project is, at the end we all end up here. Home depo- the church for religion of renovation/projects. Definitely fully stuffed with everything you need. The prices are not the greatest since we found the same things cheaper at the other places, but you definitely don't want to lose your time going to many places because of the price when you can get all things in one place. I wouldn't recommend taking their service for kitchen/flooring, since the third parties they are working with are so expensive. The estimate they gave us- I still have a headache of it

I am remodeling my house and have to come here several times a week, sometimes even several times a day. I've been to just about every department at this store. Recently I came to buy some flooring and needed help finding out if they had more of the floor that I was buying in stock. I found a gentleman and he scanned the barcode and said there were 30 boxes, but the shelf only had 18. He said that the lady in charge of the flooring department could help me find them. I searched for that person and couldn't find them. The store seemed deserted. When she finally appeared after 10 minutes of me wandering, she said that sometimes the system has the wrong number. So since I couldn't buy enough of them, I had to drive to another location. The other Home Depot (Naperville) had like 5 people working in flooring and I was able to get the help I needed.

He was incredibly generous with his time and offered us great advice, even showing us around and pointing out recommended plants and shrubs. We drove back home and did more research and thinking. A week later we returned and met up with Craig again. He discussed our choices and then showed us where to find everything. Along the way he gave us even more ideas by letting us look at pictures of his own extraordinary landscape. He never pressured us to buy anything and even came back later to check on us. I would like to add that his colleagues were also very helpful and open to dialogue in response to our questions. This is the best experience we have had in the Chicago area purchasing plants; we also learned a lot about landscaping in the process. Thanks Craig! Tsui-yee & Craig Chicago

This spring we went to purchase a tree for our yard. Found what we wanted for $800. We would prefer that professionals plant this tree. All good until: Tree cost: $800. Delivery and planting: $1200. So an $800 tree costs $2000 to have planted. Are you kidding me? 150% service charge to plant. That's like buying a $1000 big screen tv from Abt or Best Buy and paying $2500 total to have it installed. No rational person would do this. By comparison, we have purchased trees from other local nurseries and their planting fees are typically 50% of tree cost. So an $800 tree would cost an additional $400 to plant. Total cost: $1200. Who in their right mind would pay 150% of the cost of the item to have it "installed?" Do better, Lurvey. This is madness.

I purchased a 30-inch ceramic planter and was originally told it would be left on my driveway. However, upon arrival, the delivery man, Jeff, went above and beyond. He rang the doorbell to notify me of his arrival. To my surprise Jeff kindly offered to move the heavy planter closer to its final destination. In addition to all this unexpected act of kindness, Jeff positioned it so effectively that moving this heavy planter into its final spot was effortless. Thanks to his extra effort, the planter is now exactly where I need it. When I offered Jeff a tip to show my gratitude for his care and helpfulness, he graciously declined, saying he was just happy to help. It is rare to encounter such genuine professionalism. It definitely feels extensive and organized with sections for soil, different climates/plant needs, and grade of plant. The indoor plants I've bought here are mostly doing great if a little neglected from my own care. We ended up planting some of the outdoor plants too early, but the quality was great overall. Given the late last frost date here, I would just wait to buy outdoor plants in the spring. The parking lot is extensive, and they have several community events as well as opportunities to host birthday parties for any age. Staff were really helpful and efficient at the register.

They have tons of plants and lots of plant supplies. I think we only looked at like half of the store, to be honest. It's a huge place, and I think that's one of the reasons I didn't love it. I like small neighborhood plant shops, and this was just super large. They have a lot going on here... in addition to the plants/supplies, there's a large bird cage in the store. I guess you can go into the cage? I had zero interest in that, but if you want to it's $15. I was sad that we didn't happen upon the turtle, though, because I know my daughter would have been thrilled if we'd bumped into him. They have a go fund me or kickstarter or something because I guess their lease is not renewed (wonder what that means for this strip mall from a bygone era), so I'm not sure what the future of the Jungle of Niles is. They are hoping to move--that's the reason for the fundraiser--but if you've harbored a desire to visit, I would stop by just in case.
