I was looking for a specific plant and a young man help me by looking on his phone and finding out more about the plant since I needed to know more about it. This is an update to my previous review. One of our expensive ($16,000) custom black-framed windows cracked, and we notified Home Depot in February. Nearly four months later, we are still getting excuse after excuse about delays and no resolution, no accountability, and virtually no communication. Wevontacted them again in March and we were told no later than April we would receive a call for installation. No call, so we called again on May 1st. We were provided with an installation date of May 18th. Today they called and said the window has a white casing so they need to change it and they will call back with a new date. LOL. We spent over $65,000 replacing 26 windows (2 custom windows) through Home Depot because the zero-percent financing made the project financially manageable. Unfortunately, once the sale was completed, the customer service completely disappeared. Calls go unanswered, there has been no meaningful response to escalations, and nobody seems willing to take ownership of the issue. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with. The 6 month delay in getting the windows installed and the recent issue solidifies that I would rather pay more from a reputable company than deal with them. The complete lack of follow-through from after we ordered the windows to end has been beyond frustrating. The sales rep (Gwen) was initially responsive with all the delays then she fell off the face of the earth. No one responded to my escalated complaints (6-7 month) of delays. No response to the BBB either. I would strongly caution others before making a major purchase through Home Depot for windows. If they were 50% cheaper I would still go elsewhere because it was not worth the delays and frustration. They get a negative 5 rating. read more

I went to pick up compost and dirt for my small vegetable garden. I'm not a spring chicken so I asked a cashier if someone could help me load the bags into my car. I was told I needed to purchase the items first then someone would come help load them in my car. I went go get a flat cart to load the bags when Joann in her Home Depot apron came looking for me. She was so friendly and helpful. She loaded my cart with all the bags I needed, she even helped me decide which products to use. After I made my purchase she met me in the parking lot and loaded everything in my car. I tried to give her a tip but she refused to take it and said she was just doing her job. Like any homeowner visiting Home Depot here in Lincoln it's a regular routine to keep up with the demands of home ownership. Seldom do I not find what I want and if I do the front desk staff are more than willing to assist in the every possible way. There is an employee named Shawn who is worth her weight in gold. She is extremely mechanical, knowledgeable, personable, and willing to go the extra mile to help her customers solve issues, find items, and discuss/show her customers a rational way of solving problems. She exemplifies customer service and all new employees on the floor should strive to her level of expertise. Management should recognize this employee as the perfect ambassador for Home Depot. I just had the best experience! I don't frequent Home Depot but my AC went out and I was in a desperate frenzy to get a fan to survive the weekend and get through til it gets fixed. I forgot they don't take digital payment and I didn't have my wallet or the patience to go back home for my wallet. The gal and guy at customer service let me order the item online and he even went and got the item for me. I so appreciate the kindness and understanding and willingness to make it work for me! Darren was the only person who cared to assist me in purchasing items on the floor. He was awesome!! But, when I bought a patio pit, and no one tried to help or request to. I asked the garden clerk, to get assistance to the car, he said, " it's easy to carry, but its not heavy at all." I had to literally drag it to the car. So much for customer service. As a single woman, I gotta say....I'd rather go to a used car dealership by myself than come here. Every time I go to Home Depot I just feel like bursting into tears. No one seems interested in helping, and when I do actually catch up to someone, it feels like I'm burdening them by needing help. Even when I finally got what I needed, I made eye contact with a checker when I approached her register, and she turned her light off as she saw me approach. North Korea sounds like a more welcoming place. read more

This Home Depot is normally out of convenient driving range from my own neighborhood, but I have had the opportunity to visit this one a few times because it is closer to my parent's house where we are doing improvements to their yard. Fortunately, this store had everything in stock that we needed! Everything was organized and easily locatable.   Employees offered help if we needed it (which often times we do). Almost anything and everything you could possibly need for home and garden improvement is available, and the employees have treated us in a friendly, helpful, manner.  I always enjoy shopping here, because I find great ideas every time I go! I like to wander throughout the store to see what other items are available for future reference, and I found the building as a whole to be well maintained, neat and nicely stocked with just about everything one would desire for home and landscaping improvements.  Even though I probably wouldn't drive out of my way to shop here routinely, the building is huge with a vast supply of merchandise;  it has a convenient location for the city of Lincoln and would satisfy any locals to fulfill their home improvement shopping adventures! read more

I recently ordered a LG dishwasher from Home Depot in Lincoln and scheduled a delivery for the following Monday. Their delivery driver called after the delivery window had passed and said that the dish washer that had been loaded onto the truck for delivery was apparently hit by a fork lift and damaged so badly the door would not open. Why would they put it on the truck with that kind of damage!? Why not just load a new, undamaged washer for delivery?! I don't know the answer to that but he rescheduled delivery. The second delivery day came and went without a call or any type of notification. When I called the delivery people they said the driver ran out of time on his route they and rescheduled for the following week. Third delivery day came and the delivery window passed without delivery OR notification about what was happening. I called again. They said they dish washer was severely damaged....AGAIN. See pic. I called Home Depot in Lincoln and explained that I had taken three days off work to accept delivery. Now four weeks have passed, they won't EVEN TRY delivery again for another week. The appliance person talked to the manager. Nada. No help at all. They can't even guarantee that if I take another day off they'll deliver on this new date! WTH Home Depot?!? This dish washer is costing me double what I originally paid. STILL NO DISHWASHER!! * I'll update if I ever get the thing. * UPDATE: Aug 3, another scheduled delivery day. They called again to cancel because they damaged the dishwasher AGAIN and will have to reorder. They'll try to deliver again in three weeks. That's seven weeks total (if it comes at all) for a dishwasher they promised in a few days. That's one no-show and three damaged dishwashers. Four separate delivery dates and...nothing. UPDATE: Went into the store on August 9th. Got a dishwasher from the floor for the same price as the one I bought, but never got. Thanks to the assistant manager for making that happen. Unfortunately, I had to pay another $600+ for it and wait two or three days for a refund on the one I never got. Something about paperwork from the delivery people. By Friday I had not received a refund. I called and they said I should have it by Monday. Monday, August 16th and no refund. I go back to the store. They say it will be at a minimum, another week before I see my refund. They don't know why I was told differently last week. I speak to customer service. They call the delivery people and confirm whatever they needed to confirm. Finally got my refund. Needless to say I will never go back to Home Depot. This has been an expensive nightmare. read more

This is usually my go-to Home Depot. Earlier this year we bought a pre-built barbecue and the associate eagerly helped us get the floor model due to the fact that the outside models were rusty. More recently, we purchased 25 bags of landscaping rocks and they brought them to the truck with a forklift and helped us load them (without asking). I really love the store itself. Posting here to hopefully get someone to help me since corporate Home Depot won't. I am pretty disappointed that I order 50 bags of rocks to be delivered to my house, and they scratched my finished garage floors. I now understand that this was a 3rd party delivery service, but the insurance company Home Depot pretty much told me they only deal with appliance issues and someone from the 3rd party deliver company would call me. Considering how many dozens of employees are always standing around doing nothing for $15/hour, Home Depot should be embarrassed. The self-checkout kiosks barely work. Wife bought 4 large buckets of Pennigton wild bird seed. We feed birds. After having to use an AX to open the first two, we decided that at our age it was just too hard to get to the seeds. Sooooo.. we took them back. Knowing it was a cash purchase, there would be some problem. OH yeah. We were informed that cash purchases required receipt. That's okay. So I suggested store credit. Nope! One of the return clerks managed with great difficulty to open one of the two buckets. We asked if she could please leave it opened and open the other. "I ain't touchin that one!" she rudely exclaimed. Luckily, another customer managed to help us. A truly exasperating and uncalled for experience! I live near the Roseville store, where most of my experiences are good. They were out of a freezer that I wanted to purchase but the Lincoln store showed it in stock online. I decided to call before I made the drive over. I used the menu and asked for appliances. After 10 or so rings I reached someone who transferred me to appliances. I assumed best intent and thought the associates must be helping other customers. After 8 or so rings the phone was answered by a female employee who seemed bothered. I asked told her I was looking for a freezer that was listed in stock on the web page and wondered if she could verify. She told me she needed the SKU. I pulled up the web page- no SKU was obvious. I asked her where would I find it, that the model number was listed but I did not see a SKU. With disdain she said, "it's right next to the model number." I said I am not seeing it and then she said, "I can use the model number." She looked sit up and told me they had it. As I traveled I continued to tell myself they must just be really busy. I arrived to a fairly open parking lot, grabbed a flatbed cart and went in. I was shocked when I got to appliances and saw two (yes two) associates sitting at desks. Neither was with customers, neither on the phone and not another person was in the department. I wheeled the cart past them to the in box freezer on the floor. I got to load the freezer myself. The two stars is solely for the check out clerk. She greeted me warmly and was helpful and efficient. I asked for help loading it into my truck and she told me she would call someone. After trying two posted numbers she apologized, told me she was new and asked another clerk for help. The more seasoned clerk's response was, "they probably aren't listening to their phone" and taught her to do a store page. I will work really hard to not return to this Home Depot. read more

They would not price match the same product from their own company at another location. They told me if I wanted the cheaper price that I would need to go purchase it from their location across town. At the beginning of the pandemic I would avoid Home Depot and go to Lowe's instead because they were more compliant with the mask rule for customers. However, this Lincoln location is doing a great job. Unlike the Lincoln Lowe's, they have self checkout which is nearly touch free, and certainly doesn't require interaction with any person. I've visited 4 times over the past 2 weeks while working on a project, and everyone wears masks (although you'll always have the silent protesters who pull their mask below their nose) and they have workers monitoring the entrances. It's also nice that there is a Tesla supercharger between this store and the Target so I can top up my car while shopping. read more

My sisters and I were wrongfully profiled entering the Lincon Home Depot. If you profile your customers walking in for appearance, your company has a problem! We finished a long day of clearing out a storage and arrived at the Lincoln Home Depot to purchase a few bins. We were only in the store for maybe 10 mins, we went to the front of the store for bins and down the cleaning aisle for lysol and Ajax. We were aggressively approached at the self check out by an associate that insisted on checking us out. I told the associate that I did not need help, that I could check out myself as we had 3 separate purchases. I frequent home depot and I have never had someone insist to check me out at the self check out. The associate checked every bin in our basket, obviously to confirm we were not trying to steal and moved on to a customer that was actually asking for help at the register. I'm appalled and it makes me so disheartened to know the extreme measures this organization goes through to stereotype their customers. How about you watch people on your cameras for true thieves instead of insulting innocent customers or better yet, let customers know if your purchasing bins to check out at customer service so your employees can check the bins. I'm pretty disappointed as it's often hard to get help at Home Depot even for curbside pick up, but you rush over to scan my items and check my bins at self check out. Where should I start. We went through Home Depot to have our sink replaced . Could not be done because counter tops had to be replaced. So we had to special order a sink. Only to realize that special order was for everything. They didn't have our size 31" sink in stock. only on line. A couple weeks letter the tradespeople were ready to come out for installation. No sink, we had to put a hold on the installing the sink. Lost in transit they said. They reordered. One month later they were ready. Mind you this all started in October. the sink arrived middle of November. End of November they came out to lay the counter top. All great. the backsplash people made an appointment for 1st of November, then Home Depot contacted me and said we did not have an appointment, even though the confirmation was on my cell phone. Ok so the the 5th of November they came out. only to find out that the supplies (rim) for the backsplash ordered by Home Depot did not fit, so we went without that. The measurements were short by 5 back splash. I ran over to Home Depot to purchase 5 more. Shelf check yelled out "customer needs assistance". I ran over to the line and waited for clerk to slowly and meticulously check me out with my back splash. The only clerk available. The one thing I do have as a positive is that all the tradespeople were great. They handled the job with such care it turned out perfectly. Would I ever to through Home Depot again to do another job in my home NO. I would have saved time, frustration and money if I originally had gone to a company that would handle the entire job. from helping me decide of tile to backsplash to the purchase. This job was more time consuming and costly than any other kitchen project I've ever hired to be done. read more

Went to the Home Depot for my ever home improvement needs. My husband and I went to return our lawnmower because the cord would almost get caught under it and cut up by the blade. I went to the customer service desk to return the lawn mower and I got nothing but disrespect and judgment from an employee named Michaela. She was arguing to me that it wasn't a valid reason for return. I had the card and the receipt within the date of being able to return. I will never return to this location because of the terrible workers and service I got. All I got to say is if I was management I would demote or lay off there disrespectful workers during I'd hope their work evaluation they do regularly. read more

I went to home Depot on Easter the Saturday before I had bought a new valve and flapper for my toilet. It said it was universal but it didn't work for mine. I ask one of the clerks if he could help me and reluctanty he did. I told him the problem and he was no help at all. then he turned around and walked away, before he got too far, I said so you're not going to help me he turns back around and says we don't have it around and walked away. I was dumfounded definitely the worst I have ever been treated at home Depot. So I caught another clerk he was very helpful he found what I needed however I will not go back I'll go to Lowes or ace. That being said lots of folks not wearing masks & most employees with masks under their noses. Like all the other chain stores in Lincoln, this one has limited inventory and selection of items. Most of the time I go in here, it's really dead, like probably 5 other customers in the store besides me. One time I went in there, I was the only person there. This makes it really convenient and easy to get help from the employees. Even though they have limited selection, I'd rather go here than the Roseville location due to the great customer service. read more

Home Depot credit card. Other than get you signed up for a Home Depot credit cards BEWARE AND BE AWARE...once you have a card you cannot get any help in the store regarding their card. Nor was I able to reach a live person on any of the phone numbers on their statement. We use to go to Home Depot a lot, as we live close to one. However, I was reluctant to get their card as I have had trouble with their promotion tactics. On a large ticket item purchase, it was interest free for one year but you had to be careful to pay it up on or before the year was up or the costs were prohibitive. Back charging you from the beginning and adding fees as well. I was very careful to pay up before the year was up but I wanted the final payment documented...However I learned that you cannot make a payment at the store. Having no proof of when they got my check...they charged me the fees. Like I said I should have known better. I recently made a purchase on October 4, 2022. At which time I applied and got a new Home Depot credit card. By about the 8 th of November I did not get a statement. I was at the store and ask about it they said sometimes there are glitches in the system. Some glitch....They charged me a late fee and interest before I even got the first statement! I tried to call both numbers on the statement but never could reach a live person. So again I went into the store only to learn that they have nothing to do with the card. I got the First Statement 11/15/2022 and now learn that on 11/04 they charged me a $29 late fee plus interest for a $33 purchase on 10/4. Then on 11/19, less that a week later I got the Second statement for 12/2022. I will of course cancel the card ASP! Useful Funny Cool read more

Today I purchased one item at Home Depot and her response was "you didn't save anything anyways" and when I mentioned Lowe's give full discounts her response was "well they're down the street if you want to go there." We purchased new kitchen appliances, oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. Our sales person was extremely helpful and friendly and processed our order perfectly. The delivery however was another issue entirely. Due to Covid we had to wait seven weeks for our appliances to be delivered and installed. I can deal with that, but on the day of delivery, after receiving a call indicating delivery would happen between 10 - 2pm, no show. No call and nobody showed up. Took the day off of work and was home the entire day. Called service at 2:30 and they said that no one was home so rescheduled the delivery 4 days later. Now I have to take another day off of work. My mom and I have been residence of Lincoln for about a year and a half now it is very nice that they have a Home Depot very close to home not even a five minute drive to be exact :-) this is a very big establishment they have a very big garden selection with several different plants to choose from including mulch for your yard plots to plant flowers or plants and much more they also have a very wide selection of home appliances and much more this is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere very friendly helpful staff we have purchase from the store several times and the last time we bought red mulch the guy was sweet enough to load it up in the car for us which made it easier on my mom's back very happy to see that the employees will go above and beyond when it comes to helping the customers everybody here is very helpful if you need help finding something they will show you where it is noches point and say it's over there I appreciate when stores do that when I go above and beyond and will show you what the item is it just makes makes it that much easier for me to find what I need and not have to walk around the store and pass it 10 times I've had that happen before it's more annoying than anything LOL this store definitely has a very nice selection Of household stuff for the kitchen appliances they even have washer and dryer unit available at this location this location is very nice they even have self check out so if you don't wanna have to wait in a line you could check yourself out when it comes to having a great selection the store definitely achieves it I highly recommend this establishment for anybody looking to buy some plants for your yard new home appliances and much more they definitely have a great selection I will definitely be coming back here again very soon for more future visits and more great stuff to come thank you Home Depot in Lincoln :-) read more

We came to this Home Depot 2 days after XMAS to look for bargains on XMAS lights and decorations. I can say that it is cleaner here than some of the other Home Depot locations that I have frequented. The employees here are always friendly and when you walk by them, they always greet you with a smile and ask if you need help finding something. It seems that it is more laid back here in Lincoln. It doesn't feel busy and cramped in here. Maybe it's just the times that I decided to come by. I love the large selection of merchandise in the gardening section and the power tools and hand tools section. What guy doesn't like tools (just grunted like Tim "the toolman" Taylor from Home Improvement)? I don't really have any complaints about this location and I think I'll come to this location more often in the future than the busier one in Roseville. read more

Was here at 7:19pm and the sign said they were open until 8. The employees said I had to look online for current hours, not the sign on their front window. Bad business practice!!!! When the weather starts to warm up, Home Depot seems to be almost like a second home, as the home projects start up again. I don't usually write many reviews of the Home Depot's I visit because the service is always consistently good, and I think most customers know the stores are well managed. I have visited Home Depot's Lincoln store twice in the past week. Both visits I was given exceptional service by store personnel. I usually know the floor plan of most Home Depots, but this store is a bit different, and I wasn't able to immediately walk to the aisles I wanted. I not only was told where the irrigation items I needed were located, I was taken to the aisle and shown the parts. This happened for irrigation, plumbing, and lawn care items, too. What great service. The floors had a high polish to them, something I have never noticed at other Home Depots. A very clean and organized store, plus every aisle was fully stocked. All of the employees at the store had a pleasant and cheerful attitude and check-out was quick and efficient. A enjoyable shopping experience. read more

I'm only giving this Home Depot 1 star because they at least had the saw I wanted in stock. That being said, I called the Lincoln Home Depot when I was at the Stanford Ranch store because the app showed that they had 1 of the saws I was looking for on hand. I started to drive to the Lincoln store while customer service tried transferring me to the hardware dept., but that dept. Didn't answer, and customer service tried again to transfer. After about 2-3 minutes, I was transfered to kitchen/bath and it went to a voicmail. I called back (still driving to Lincoln) and customer service tried again to transfer to Hardware, when they didn't answer, customer service asked if maybe she could help me, I said ,"Sure, I noticed on your Home depot App, it shows you have a Ridgid 10" sliding miter saw for $399 on hand, and I wanted to see if someone could put their eyes on it because I'm headed that way now." She said that she would check (by this time I'm about 4mins away from the Lincoln store. I got to the store (still on hold) and walked down the aisle where the saw was located. Just then, customer service came back on the phone and said that they didn't have that saw in the box, and that they weren't able to sell the floor model. I replied fairly annoyed by saying, "That's funny, I'm in your store right now standing in front of one that is in the box!" She just something along the lines of, "Well I guess there is one then, sorry." The phone conversation ended. I went to the front to purchased the saw, and asked to speak with the manager. Megan, the manager, asked what she could help me with, I told her my experience, and said that customer service tried to answer my question, but failed. I told her that I wasn't looking for a discount and that I already purchased the item, but to let her know that the customer service here is horrible, and that if the associates don't know an answer, to not lie to customers! Megan didn't have much to say so, but at that point nothing productive was coming out of it, and she clearly didn't know how to handle the situation. This store has lost my business forever, I'll order online instead. read more
