As I rushed from one Home Depot store to another, every single Home Depot rep I chatted with was super nice and helpful, making me feel valued. It was so sweet to see how bummed they all were that I was driving around like a lunatic, until finally, the lovely lady at the Garden Grove Home Depot hooked me up with a pre-purchase of the Goofy from the Home Depot in La Mirada (I think La Mirada is LA county ) The price is $199.99, a total bargain because the Goofy is adorable. read more

This is a smaller Home Depot, and one that doesn't offer tool / equipment rental. While this place is closer to my house, I prefer to go to the Home Depot in La Habra which is bigger and offers tool rental. I will say the handful of times that I have been here, the employees have been kind, helpful, and friendly. read more

At the cash out, we were asked if we found what we needed. We were looking for a door we didn't see in stock. Employee, Kim turned out to be the Store manager. She found exactly what we needed and went beyond excellent customer service. All other employees from the guy with equipment to retrieve the door and 2 others that helped were knowledgeable and personable. It was a Sat afternoon also . I really love this Home Depot during the holidays. For Halloween they have a little pumpkin yard set up in front and for Christmas, they have Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus photo op in front. Nicely decorated and very friendly staff members. The closest location to my house is the one on alondra but that place so so hectic, messy and full of unhappy employees. This location is a breath of fresh air. Items are nicely stocked and friendly service folks. What I also love is the availability of cart collector areas AND a trash can tied to each cart collection area. This is serious business and definitely promotes a cleaner environment. Will continue to come to this location for my home remodel project needs. read more

It was a typical Home Depot except for all the building supplies are in the back. So as a contractor, if you need to get it, that's where it is. Typically it's upfront I'd prefer that.. There's no people working there either huh I'm gonna. I didn't see anybody on the floor working, but it was closing time on a Sunday. It is a little smaller than most HD's. But for the most part it's there. I got my 3 sheets of drywall and split after that. I recommend it. read more

I have been coming to this location for about 25 years and I think it'll be my last now that the store got rid of cashiers and forces the customer to do self checkout. Not only does it take away from the customer service experience I've always appreciated, but it's hard when you have large or many objects and having to squeeze them into the tiny area PLUS having to scan everything yourself. Home Depot doesn't pay me a salary to do that. Looks like I'll be going to Lowe's until Home Depot brings back regular cashiers and gets rid of the mandatory self checkout kiosks. read more

July 6, 2024 After being misdirected to item I needed. I walked up to 4 HD associates standing in a line talking to each other. I stood in facing the 4 associates where all 4 can see me and they ignored me. I stood about 7 feet from them patiently did not say a word and waited for them to finish their conversation. I was not in a hurry. Then 2 of the associates look at me and turned around and walked away. The remaining two kept talking to each other. After about a minute of waiting, I raised my hand in the air, not saying a word. The 2 remaining associates kept to their conversation while facing me. After about 15 seconds of keeping my arm raised, I started waving my arm hand in big wide arcs like at a concert. The two kept ignoring me. After about 15 seconds of waving, one associate look at me, slightly perturbed, asked if I need help. Was this a rhetorical question or an insult? She guided me to my item and walked away The ages of the 4 associates ranged from I guest early 20's to 50's. In the past 2 years I personally have spent $50,000 in home improvements at HD. $25,000 remodeled bathroom and home improvements and in April of 2024 $22,000 on a new A/C. I pray that workers in America may find some pride in customer service. read more

Today I had the time to accompany my elderly parents to this Home Depot and witness how disrespectful they were treated by Sally. She was so rude. I needed to replace some light bulbs for some overhead hanging lights and decided to stop by Home Depot since I know that they carry every light bulb made under the sun. These light bulbs were much smaller than the standard incandescent light bulbs that I use for everything else at my house and I knew I was going to need some help in finding the correct size. I was quickly able to get some help from a nice man who explained to me the type of energy-saving light bulbs I needed and he even showed me the different options I had for colors. I was probably asking really stupid self-explanatory questions (LOL) since I really don't know how any of this works and he didn't laugh at my dumb questions but instead answered them easily so I could understand. He even explained to me the choices for different watts and helped me pick what I was looking for. I was about to buy a 3-pack for about $12 and he was even so kind to show me to get another one by another brand that was on sale for only $7! I wouldn't have grabbed the one on sale if he didn't show me so thanks for saving me a few bucks! When I got home, I quickly installed them and I'm happy as a clam for how bright they are. KAT FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST. She helped us return a 190lb shelf that was damaged at the brea one. They didn't have any shelves in stock so she was coordinating with the Home Depot in Whittier. It turns out, the one in brea hasn't been released to the customer so we can't swap or return, so she's on the call with brea to release the inventory so we can return at la Mirada so we can purchase the same one in Whittier for the same price as their Memorial Day sale..... It's been a hassle... and it's been so heavy lugging these huge shelf that barely fits in my minivan... I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT... just wanna say... whoever is the manager at this Home Depot needs to make kat a freaking director of Home Depot or some high level customer service jon with a 6 figure salary....
