Whenever we visit this store, my parents would recall times past. How the business used to be called Grossman's when they started coming by for supplies, then Contractor's Warehouse with its old school orange and black logo, and finally for a period of time referred to as HD Supply. Well now it's the CW again, and from the looks of it not much has changed. Still the same long walks down the hallways in relative quiet, unless you are rolling the panel truck like I was. Friendly customer service through the phone when I asked about availability/quantity of corrugated roofing panels. Then at the store the staff would help find the appropriate wood screws. Whereas in the past I remembered older folks staffing the store, now it's mostly younger guys and gals though knowledgeable all the same. Can't put my finger on it, but it does feels different from a Home Depot but in a good way. read more

The customer service at this store has been very disappointing. While the prices may be lower, the level of service is unacceptable. Very few employees speak Spanish, which makes communication difficult for many customers. It is important to have staff who can assist customers in both English and Spanish. In addition, getting help from an employee takes an extremely long time. During my visit, I asked a cashier to hold an item for me while I continued shopping and planned to purchase it. Later, I discovered that the item had been sold to someone else. I found this very frustrating and unprofessional. What was even more disappointing was that the manager did not seem concerned about resolving the situation or addressing my complaint. I do not enjoy shopping here because of the poor customer service. Many of my construction employees and coworkers have shared similar experiences and have told me they avoid this store because of the service. Management and ownership should understand that customer service is just as important as pricing. If customers do not feel valued and respected, they will choose to spend their money elsewhere. read more

Made the rounds today looking for a few items for our bathroom remodel/update. Since I had already gone to all the way to Pico Rivera to hit the nearby Lowe's, I figured no harm in seeing if HD Supply had my items (A vanity top, vanity lights, and a large mirror) for a better price. When you arrive on Telegraph (right up next to the 5 freeway), you find that the property is a little funky: sharp turns in the smallish parking lot, 12 foot chainlink fences, and the entrance is sort of 'round back a spell... no biggie, I'm not here for a four-course meal... just need a few bathroom items. I didn't have high hopes for the mirror, and wasn't surprised they didn't have anything close. As for the lighting and the vanity tops, the selection was pretty small, and did not match the decor I was looking for. Honestly, just wanted a white countertop... not all sorts of granite and marble designs. They had about five patterns, and a few different sizes. Lots of "open box" stuff with what appeared to be employee writing on them with markers... things like "NO BACKSPLASH"-- returns and re-tapes. Negative, Ghostrider. The building is a little dingy and dark, and while my fellow Sophisticates patronizing the place were all wearing required masks, they weren't exactly practicing social distancing. In a few cases, they weren't practicing basic hygiene, either. Not HD's fault, but be advised. I like the HD in Chino a lot better, and will probably make that drive next time. But since I'm not a contractor, and I only have two bathrooms to update, chances are I won't return here for a while. read more

Honestly I like this place and I don't like this place, if I find what I like yay for me because is very inexpensive, but they don't have a lot of selections so you get what you get, don't complain LOL. I purchased LED lights from them, great prices I went back to get more and they didn't have the same brand that I had, was able to find another brand for cheaper so it's in between for me if I have to go I will but don't be disappointed if you can't find what you need. read more

I have been to Contractors' Warehouse a few times now; they're a decent spot to grab minor items you need for any remodeling at costs less than the Home Depots of the world. I WILL NOT be coming back due to the discrimination I endured today. My contractor and I went to purchase several thousand dollars worth of materials today, and when my contractor was essentially attempting to price-match his purchase from the day before, he was met with so much resistance. English is his second language, but it was not difficult to understand what he was trying to do. The men at the service desk kept saying that they couldn't help him. I then went to the counter, and despite waiting in line for several minutes, the man at the counter kept telling his counterparts to help other people in line before helping me. Once they finally decided the right person was there to help me, I explained what we were trying to return, the man there kept saying to my contractor, "that's not what you told me, you didn't tell me that, now that you're saying that, this makes sense..." and he turned to someone I believe was his manager, and gave him the most disgusting smile, and they both proceeded to laugh, roll their eyes, and mockingly repeating "that's not what he said!" I don't post negative reviews lightly, but I felt embarrassed for my contractor, who could clearly tell they were laughing at him. This was disgusting behavior and gross negligence on the part of management in making sure they are not hiring people who have this much disrespect for others. Do better. read more

Ordered an exterior custom door, left handed out swing. Door arrived with an inward threshold. My contractor advised me to return the door for modification. CW picked up the door, had it for 4 days and did nothing to correct the problem. The door was redelivered today, it was filthy. I currently have two contractors working for me, both concurred that the door is goofy, not according to specs. read more

My contractor has an account with HD (I think a frequent buyer's card account) and took me to HD to buy some items for my newly renovated bathroom. HD has a ton of supplies (the store is a mini version and less crowded version of your Home Depot). I was able to walk in, find a pre-constructed bathroom cabinet and purchased it right away. There are a lot of employees around but my contractor had it all set up for me. They have a big parking lot to park your pick up trucks, a log yard, and a fairly big warehouse. read more

The place may not have the home depot floor plan but they have some good upgrades for your home. Prices are good and their products are good quality too. At times their aisles maybe clear where u cant find an associate to ask questions, but really have not found a need to ask big questions. Their prices are clearly marked and their products are easy to find. There are plenty of contractors that come here so you dont have to sencond guess the quality. Your questions will be more of which design/color/size to buy. For home remodel I find there's better selection than some of the other big stores, so its maybe worth checking out 1st so you know what they have and compare. read more

This place is a go-to local alternative to Home Depot. They have a great selection of products, they open early and close late. I was a little disappointed with how long I had to wait to get helped. Came hear having heard about the amazing deals that they have on granite counter tops. Looks like if you're ok with the pre-cut sizes and colors that they have, you can walk away with a pretty amazing deal. I imagine the same is true for the kitchen cabinet pieces as well... Otherwise a lot of the store wasn't so impressive. This particular location looks like they rely on sunlight through some panels in the roof... That's great for energy conservation, except the panels themselves are really dirty and hardly let any light in. Make you feel like you're going into someone's musty attic. Don't come here expecting to pay less for everything then Home Depot. After having gone to Home Depot for the last several weeks in a row, my wife and I have already started memorizing some prices. Their are occasional things that are cheaper, however most items are comparable, if not more expensive here. Plenty of parking, as well as heavy duty tool and equipment rental... Since it's not around our area, we probably won't be back. read more

Wow, after hearing about it, I decided to go check out this place in Pomona. I found out they have several location and one of them was in Montebello so off I went to check it out. I'm planning on remodeling my kitchen and I don't want to spend a lot of money. This place has a pretty good selection of granite counter tops, cabinets, and floor material. The prices were good too. They even have info sheet for different types of material for you to take with. That was very handy since I didn't know exactly how many cabinets I wanted. The staffs were very friendly and always checking up on me unlike Home Depot.
