If I could select a lower star I would. Long story but Home Depot broke our elevator in a 8 story condo trying to load too much vinyl flooring. I have bad knees and had to rent a condo in the building ext to us for 12 days unable to walk 8 stories up and down. I've spent over $25,000 with them this year alone on a remodel . All I asked for was the $365 for condo rent. I was told they couldn't help. I've tried to talk to a supervisor and that is impossible because they just jockey you around. Empty promises and no call backs. I have never been more disappointed in customer service! I was in the hospitality business for 45 years and if we caused a problem of any kind with our customers we took responsibility and fixed it!! Shame on you Home Depot! read more

Home Depot trips come often for me, and this is always the go to one. I like the layout which is easy to navigate to find what you are looking for quickly. Sometimes I've found if you don't know where to find something you may have to search a bit to find help, but that's not often. The garden center is kept full of Florida appropriate plants and flowers with a nice section that includes seeds (organic as well). The prices are usually pretty good, just do your research on bigger ticket items and compare. They have lots of parking with easy access to the store. I enjoy the cashiers when I need to get something a little more in-depth then just using the automated checkout lanes. They always are kind, cheerful and show that they care. I've returned things here very easily as well. This really is a well run store. read more

Jensen Beach, Florida expeditor, their general contractor, their cabinet manufacturer (Thomasville) and H.D. corporate in Atlanta. I have kept a journal, almost by the hour, that will show how you can be stuck with people that really don't give a damn how you live in chaos or your mental and physical health. After (40) forty days of mistakes from the general contractor, no communication from either the local H.D. or corporate, that has a complaint number, I believe that anyone who uses H.D. or their contractors should at least have an attorney on retainer. In need of a washer/dryer, we decided to go to Home Depot-Jensen Beach due to their Columbus Day sale incentive. We have limited space for these appliances, so we brought our clearance dimensions with us. After two hours in the store discussing our requirements with Anna, (she was very helpful) we purchased a matching set. The promo for purchase was 10% off a purchase over $500 and if we opened a Home Depot credit card account, we would obtain 18 interest-free, which we opted to do. When we received the delivery, we were told that the dryer was too large and would not fit into our laundry area. So we refused delivery. We returned to Home Depot and spent another two hours waiting for Lillian (the appliance expert) to return from lunch, only to be told "I don't know what to tell you...can you open up your back wall" WHAT??? Another hour to try to straighten out the credit for the return.(which by the way also got screwed up). Now we receive the credit card statement and the terms state 12 months interest free rather than the 18 months that we signed up for. We made the call to the CC company and were told that we didn't qualify for the 18 months and basically take it up with Home Depot! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I Purchased a Bosch Dishwasher on Jan.13th for del and install on 1/21. They came and never rang the doorbell, apparently sat in the street and left. We rescheduled and they arrived and said the install was complicated and they would send a plumber. Plumber came and could not install because the Bosch cord was missing. Today 2men came and had the wrong cord. I suggested I return the dishwasher with no cord and they told me appliances are not returnable. I don't think even 1 star is appropriate. read more

BEWARE of the CREEPY EMPLOYEE WHO RECORDS GIRLS in the paint department !! My sister and i came here last night. We went to the paint aisle and asked the employee at the counter what he recommend we use for furniture. He asked the measurements so I was demonstrating , looking over at my sister to confirm it was accurate. In the middle of me talking she said "you're being recorded". I was confused what she was referring to but she pointed toward the employee who was right in front of me and he was recording MY BODY (lady parts) ! Once he saw me turn toward him he set his phone back on the counter with the camera app still open on his phone. I saw it clear as day and i'm positive the store cameras caught it as well. He started awkwardly laughing, didn't apologize or deny anything. I had to walk away I felt disgusted even standing or continuing any type of service with him. He then said "so you don't want the paint?" We brought the problem to management and they were very nice and understanding about it, as was the cashier. This is a good home depot. Plenty of parking, and staff that knows what they are talking about. When I needed help finding an item, they actually took me to it instead of giving me vague directions. When the price rang up higher than advertised in the self serve checkout, I had a cashier right there to adjust it, even though they had to double check with the department floater. Worst experience ever. We contracted & paid for a new screen door & door at our condo on Hutchinson Island upon recommendation from our building superintendent. We paid for our doors 5/14/19 and did receive a letter from then installer regarding the permit about 6 weeks ago. Called 2 weeks ago & told it was waiting for permit. 7/15/19 called again & said we need a shutter permit over door. Both our HOA & the person who sold us the doors at this Home Depot said we did NOT need as we were grandfathered in. Today told we need shutters or impact doors which are twice as much. This is the worst Home Depot I have ever experienced. I visited this store around March 1 to buy a six panel steel entry door and lock set. I bought the door which included installation. They required that I pay in full instead of leaving a deposit. I later discovered that they charged me an extra $100 for special impact glass. There is no glass in my door so I had to return the store for a refund. Their installer called me to inspect for the building permit. I was returning North on April 1 and he said he he could get it scheduled by then. I told him I would fly down for one week when he had an opening. We decided on May 2. I called the week before to confirm and was told everything was good. I booked a ticket and a rental car. The day of the installation I received a phone call that there was a problem. The installer said all 6 of the doors at the store were damaged but promised to get a new one at another store and install it that afternoon. That never happened. He called me the following day and told me to call the store. A Very rude man in millwork told me that I could either have my money back or they would give me a $300 credit and sell me a composite door. My HOA (for which I already had approval) does not allow that. I ask if they were looking for another door for me and was told that was up to my installer. I said aren't you both looking and he said no because my installer was being too picky. I went to the store to look at the six damaged doors and told him I found one of them acceptable because it only had a small dent. The installer then called me back that afternoon and refused to install it. He told me he wouldn't install that door on his doghouse because it was manufactured badly. I called and spoke with the store manager and There was no dispute over the facts. She said They were looking for another door. I asked to be kept in the loop because I was waiting at home in case the installer found the door. I never received a call from the store or the installer until the day before I was scheduled to fly back north. This left me no time to paint the door which I was required to by the HOA or to get the building department final inspection before I left. I went back to the store to get my money back and they did not want to refund me the permit fee. A very nice woman who works in millwork told me that she was embarrassed by the situation and eventually they refunded my money. That still left me out the cost of a round-trip plane ticket and a weeklong car rental and the week of wasted time. Go to Lowe's. Do not ever shop at the store. The president of my HOA later told me that this store is known for this kind of debacle. Horrible, horrible customer treatment. I will never shop here again read more

Home Depots are the Winn Dixies of the construction market and home improvement centers. The shelves are well stock the staff is mediocre and a lot of attention is not really paid to customer service as it is to having product available. The quality of product from Home Depot is not that great but it is what it is it's quick it's convenient for located all over the place and as a contractor I can easily grab what I need when I need it and no they're going to have it. This Home Depot has a competitor a very large Harbor Freight just opened up across the store not too long ago so we will probably give them a little run for the money but not huge because people are so in two and two going to Home Depot that they'll drive right past Harbor Freight. The staff at this location are really cool and nice and friendly I've been able to get the help that I need whenever I can't find something and that's a rare occasion and I definitely recommend this store because there's no other game in town. read more

HEADS UP TO ALL VETERANS...My husband and I have shopped here for over 20 years and never had this problem, but after our last visit on Saturday, we'll be going to Lowe's from now on. My husband is a Veteran, and as such, gets the 10% discount that Home Depot offers. What happened to us Saturday, happened one other time when we checked out in the garden department. My husband gave the cashier his military card, and we "assumed" the girl in the garden department took off the discount. We should have checked it; she did not, and didn't realize until we got home. This past Saturday's visit, went the same, only we were up at the front registers. He handed the checkout girl his military card, she said "Thank you for your service", and something told me to check the receipt as we were walking out. Well, thank you for your service, but no discount AGAIN. We went to the courtesy desk to get it taken care of, which they did, no problem. I'm wondering how many other Veterans are thinking they are getting their discount and are not. Lowe's has a program now, where you sign up for the military discount, and you give them your phone # at the register after you show them your card. Evidently at Home Depot, the cashier needs a special card to scan, and they need to get that card from a head cashier, or whoever holds that card. Just a HEADS UP to all you Veterans out there thinking you're getting the discount at Home Depot...you may not be if the cashier is too lazy to call someone for that card. Appliance I bought from a Home Depot is a dishwasher. And here is my experience: Was delivered but Home Depot couldn't install it why? Because dishwasher's spot is not aligned with a sink it's positioned in an angle.. Ok reminded me a sketch Karate instructor by Jim Carrie.. Alright fun didn't finish: I called a plumber paid $230 to install it Found out that door from left wouldn't close properly fault of who? Called plumber he said they don't touch door, got to call Home Depot. I did call! Home Depot told that Nope not our fault that's a manufacture call Whirlpool! Called manufacture they sent guy TWICE: Cause 1) to see what is happening, 2) to order part. Guy from Whirpool finally came with a part! He totally put apart front door, and guess what? Part ordered, was a waist cause problem wasn't in a Whirpool's fault; but during a delivery my dishwasher was DROPPED, and caused fraction from a metal to come apart! Now Whirpool guy fixed but he informs me that Hope depot must replace the whole dishwasher! Oh another good advice he gave: Never buy appliances from a Home Depot buy from LOW'S cause LOW'S have their own delivery people while Home Depot gets guy from all over who honestly do not like what they do.. Truth is in a past I used to buy from LOW'S cause where I lived Home Depot went out of business I had my 1!
