I'm more of a Lowe's person, but I did find what I needed at the Home Depot. An employee helped me to find hose washers and lead me to the right isle, after another employee accidentally gave the wrong isle number. It was a quick trip to find what I needed and I noticed lots of beautiful flowers in the garden department as well. Great location in a convenient strip mall. read more

I had great experience thanks to Kimmie, Lou, and Dudley. She helped me pick out the paint I needed and with a smile. The store was very busy, so I rushed through self checkout. Then halfway out into the parking lot, I heard someone calling out, and I wasn't sure if I should run or turn to look, because things had gone too well in the store. Well It was Dudley returning one of the bags I left at the register. I was almost to the car, so Dudley offered to load my car and take the cart. Great job today guys! read more

I was picking up a curbside order which took too long! I had to call the number twice to let them know I was there. Finally they told me just pull up to front door, which I did. The girl was standing there with my order, I popped the trunk, she loaded my order but never asked who I was or to see my info on my phone? Disaster of a Home Depot, stay away or find a different location. Visited this location today: parking lot is always chaos, all of the electrical switches I went to purchase were not on the shelves and needed an associate to get them from being locked up. So I left and didn't want to bother. Went over to the bathroom hardware isle. Entire isle was cluttered with crap. The ladder and forklift was in the way of what I needed. Very unorganized with inventory. Finally went to checkout and half of the self checkout lines were roped off or broke. Only one in person checkout line was available. Lines backed up. Literally left our items on the endcap and went to Lowe's. Painful experience read more

Always helpful staff. My only recommendation would be to avoid it on Saturday. There's too many customers in the store, and if you need an employee to answer detailed questions, they're being pulled in all directions. I can't fault the store for the high traffic! Don't ever order anything online from Homedepot. I was landscaping my backyard and needed some 6 ft x 8 ft rolled bamboo in mahogany. I found it online at my local home depot in Stuart. I called them and after the employee got with her mgr, they found they do not carry it anymore. Ok... so she asked if the caramel brown would work. She said she had three in stock. She have me stock number and said for me to order online and I would be able to find more. So I used the stock number she gave me and ordered and paid for the three she had and ordered 4 from the jupiter store. My husband went to Stuart and they had the wrong ones in his order. It turns out not only did they give him the wrong ones, but they actually had none in stock. Mind you I gave them the right stock number ???? I called jupiter to make sure they had the 4 I ordered before we drove to the next county and guess what.... no, they do not have any in stock either. In my experience if Lowes advertises it online, they have it. DON'T ORDER ONLINE WITH HOME DEPOT. They need an entirely new online ordering system. read more

Every time I've been in here (and that's a lot), the staff are always very friendly and happy to help. Knowledgeable too. I actually ordered carpet and had it installed through HD. They were having a fantastic $37 whole-house install deal, so I had to go for it. The entire process went smoothly, from picking out the carpet and pad, scheduling the measure, and getting the install done. Sure, my carpet was backordered about 3 weeks, but it was a special order (and it's not like that was HD's fault). The install guys (it was contracted out to USIG) were great too. I also ordered custom closet sliding doors through HD. The woman who was at the door + window desk and helped me was soooo patient. I had all sorts of questions and was a bit indecisive, but she stuck it out and happily helped me. Also -- they have a one year guarantee on plants! I tried and tried to make one of my many HD plants happy, but it was insistent on dying. So I brought the dead plant back to HD (how embarassing!), and they refunded my credit card. read more

Consistently disappointed with the way this particular store does the kids workshops. They do not let kids be kids. We either go here or to the Northlake location. In Stuart the workshop employees are consistently rude. They have paint setup at one high table. My 2.5yo at the time is too short. So we put paint on a plate and brought it back to our spot. One of the employees comes running over to my mother and yells at her for bringing the paint over. We explained that he was too short to paint standing at a high table and we never have this issue at other HD stores. She said "only this time" then rolled her eyes and stormed off mumbling and then we could see her talk about us as she and her coworker were looking at us and laughing. We vowed never to go back to this store and drove 30miles to Northlake from then on. Then today due to a tight schedule we go to Stuart. As we walk up two girls ahead of us ask for aprons, the worker says "we don't have paint today, you don't need it". I ask for an apron anyway for my son... Then asked why no paint? The ad had the windmill painted. She said "they didn't send it!" Then moves onto the next group. We know this is BS as they have a surplus of paints, they just don't want to put it out. They've also limited paint colours for projects.... One time they had HD orange, purple and yellow for the Calendar project in Jan, we asked for blue or green,. They snapped, "this is all we can offer!". Total BS! We left and got our own paint at Michaels. First Northlake always has dozens of colours, the staff is super helpful and nice, they put a bucket on each table top for trash so it's not floating all around the area and blowing into the parking lot. Then today, I notice pics on FB from my friends in Boston, Michigan, Jupiter and Northlake and they ALL have painted windmills. Painting is half the fun. The rude staff at Stuart won't be seeing us again. The team at Northlake HD should train the area workshop teams how to do this activity as they are the best and the craft needs to be consistent! Store manager might want to check out their project staff as parents like me spend $$$ in their store. read more

This is a better Home Depot than I have experienced in the past. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly enough so they don't leave you wandering around too long before they ask if you need help. We ordered our granite through here because the special they had going was way too good. It was measured and installed in two weeks and turned out great. The contractors even found us a piece big enough so we wouldn't have a seam at a big corner. I know that's on the contractors, but HD sourced some good ones here. Other than that, I usually end up here for my big box store purchases, so they must be doing something right. read more

Do not hire Home Depot to do impact window installation If you have an older home that is "Spanish" style. Despite a contract with them, if they determine that the home's construction is TERRA COTTA, the cost will go from $14,000 up to $50,000! They can pre-determine if it is TERRA COTTA, but they don't - and then you're stuck. They go back on EVERYTHING they told you along the way, abandon the job, and board up your window openings, (where THEY removed the windows). You are STUCK. read more

My call wasn't important to them. I called this morning trying to get information on a Bosch washer dryer. I was transferred around the store after selecting "appliances" in the phone menu. If the phone was answered I was transferred again, more often it rang and rang and then I was transferred back to the main menu. I called back twice hoping to get lucky. Same thing. I finally called and asked for the manager. Guess what. You're right. After several rings transferred back to the main menu. This was my experience not only at the Stuart Home Depot but also at Jupiter. When customers aren't important anymore businesses lose business. In this case they missed getting a $2300 sale. When stores are so big that they don't understand face to face sales it's time to rethink retail. read more

When I called Billing Department lady name Christi gave me attitude when I was asking about charges. She seemed very unprofessional and didn't answer my questions regarding charges. I went into this Home Depot this Saturday afternoon at about 12:30 to buy paper leaf bags,but I had to use the rest room first. When I came out of the rest room there was a metal gate pulled across the entranceway. I began to slide it back and 3 people gasped in shock and said loudly, "Mam,get back!!" A man was climbing up to get something off the shelf,all of which was not visible to me from the entranceway,and they had blocked off the entrance so a "Bathroom Goer " ( I quote this this way because through this whole experience this is the way I was treated,as if I were just some inconvenience that emerged from the bathroom.) I said,"could you not have simply leaned in the door and asked is anyone in there before blocking me in?" They said,"Mam,it's for your own safety."I asked to speak to the store manager and I was led to a room where sat the "Operations Manager" ,and the Assistant Manager. They were both very defensive of the store policy assuring me that blocking the entrance way to the restroom with a metal gate was for the customers' protection and when I asked the question again,would it not be simple courtesy to inquire if someone was in the bathroom before blocking the way and scaring them half to death with shocked reactions when I opened the gate (incidentally,if I was really being protected so well should I have been able to open the gate?) ? The Operations Manager said, "well people are always in and out of the bathroom." Need I comment on this remark? Really?Should I let her know that "these people" are the customers in her store? I spend a lot of time in this store. There have been about 5 employees who have been knowledgeable and helpful. The rest of them, I guess they are just there to collect a paycheck. On my last visit to the store, I approached 3 employees engaged in a conversation. I had to wait for them to finish discussing their plans for the up coming weekend. I was looking for a hardware item. they stood there in silence with blank stares on their faces for about 2 minutes and then they agreed I should look down aisle 11. They stood at the end of the aisle coaching me to keep going the item, if they had it would be down on my left. After looking for about 10 minutes, and not seeing what I needed, I inquired where I might find the item. I was told I'd have to go home and google it myself. I have been dealing with Home Depot in Florida and New York and have come to the following conclusion, I can shop there successfully as long as I don't need the help of an employee. For the most part, Home Depot is a self help store for the educated consumer. read more
