I'm a senior on my own and we count on the expertise of these gentlemen who work in these stores I can't tell you how much I appreciated Mike's time and consideration, and as we are having a little bit of a conversation since it wasn't a busy morning in the store, turns out I worked in the same neighborhood that he lived in in New York so it's a small world. It won't be the last time I'll go to Rocky's hardware that's for sure and I'm all the way over in Palm city but I wouldn't waste my time asking Help from Home Depot ever again thanks Mike. I also mean the account my business holds with the Tequesta location. I will move account to Home Depot rather than support a local business that is rude to local people. I tried to return an item yesterday without a receipt at the Jensen Beach Peters Hardware. The manager LOUDLY CHASTISED me in front of other customers and employees that he doesn't know where "THAT" item came from (the one I was trying to return), he practically shouted, "We've only ever had ONE in stock, we still have ONE in stock, and so I don't know where THAT ONE came from, I can't even prove to corporate it came from here. " I'm still unclear if he was kindly calling me a scammer, a thief, or what??? So I returned today with a receipt to stick it where the sun doesn't shine, and the manager wasn't there, but the little old lady cashier refused to return it because the manager needed to be there because it was 'high ticket' ($70). The entire experience sucked and the manager needs to be schooled on respect and kindness and how to open his mouth without being a serious jerk! The staff needs to be able to return items without a manager being at work. I will try my hardest to never shop here again, I will drive past this place I used to support and go to the big stores where they help me with a smile. JENSEN BEACH MANAGER RUINED YOUR STORES FOR ME. HE WAS A PRETENTIOUS JERK AND TREATED ME UNKINDLY in front of other customers and workers by pretty much calling me a liar that I got the item from his store. He needs to call me to apologize for chastising, ridiculing and putting me down in front of other people. Not cool AT ALL. You got your receipt, I finally got my money refunded, but you LOST me as a customer!!! read more

Have been shopping there for years, didn't ming paying more because I like to support my local small businesses. Purchased a 3 gal. Sprayer a few weeks ago, it was missing the strap, took 1 off of a cooler and got ready, to use it, put the chemicals in it pumped it up nothing's coming out the nozzle check that couldn't figure it out opened it up and it exploded in my face , luckily I didn't get hurt I took it back a few weeks later I've been a little bit busy they said I had to wait for the manager so I left it with them I wait 2 days to get a call he says it's been used so we're not going to do anything about it so basically accusing me of using it and returning it when actually what they sold me someone else had returned he said there was some kind of xylene in the tip well I certainly wasn't using xylene in my garden sprayer ! So not only did they sell me something used that didn't work they then accused me of using it and returning it the new manager is a joke and Peter's will be losing a lot more customers if they keep this idiot. That's one small business I will no longer be supporting read more

I have been shopping at Peter's Hardware since they opened. The staff is always been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I recently saw a review that was so off base and topic... I will say this if a real estate agent is threatened by some adverts on a fence, you don't want those people as your agent. As for Peter's there are a lot of specialty type items that you just don't find in stock at some of the big box stores and they are super convenient if you live in Palm City... I highly recommend them. read more

Really Nice Experience on a Small Job…read more We had a small job where we were having a remnant cut in order to cover a half wall in our living room. During my check and double check of the measurements needed, I added a bit to the rim in the back of the wall but didn't add it to the overall length, so it was definitely my fault when the first cut was a bit off. I called and they were eager to help me alleviate the problem. They added a small piece to the existing cut for me in order to make the right fit and did so without any drama. How rare is it that a vendor is willing to make a problem go away even when it wasn't their fault. Well done EZ, and we'll be talking about replacing kitchen countertops next year when we return.
