Most disappointing was Home Depot where I was told to Google the location for a plumbing supply. Mike looked at it for a few minutes. Realized they didn't carry that size. He Went in the back for a couple of minutes and came out with the hose detached. My hero. I'm a senior on my own and we count on the expertise of these gentlemen who work in these stores I can't tell you how much I appreciated Mike's time and consideration, and as we are having a little bit of a conversation since it wasn't a busy morning in the store, turns out I worked in the same neighborhood that he lived in in New York so it's a small world. It won't be the last time I'll go to Rocky's hardware that's for sure and I'm all the way over in Palm city but I wouldn't waste my time asking Help from Home Depot ever again thanks Mike. I appreciate your help.

When she was done I said "excuse me".... More to let her know I was behind her as she backed up. As I proceeded to pass she said to the other employee (manager?) with her "that is the second time some has PUSHED past me". I stopped and turned around to look at her. And she kept running her mouth. I stopped again and said "you just lost a customer" and she kept going. Rocky's corporation... please explain Team Lead Shannon I didn't just mean me. I also mean the account my business holds with the Tequesta location. I will move account to Home Depot rather than support a local business that is rude to local people. I am pretty sure Team Lead Shannon made an assumption about my nationality and perhaps my ability to understand English based on my looks. People like Shannon are ruining Martin County every day. And small business.

I came in looking for a small screw, .14 cents worth, and I was surprised to have someone actually help me find exactly what I needed without making me feel like a low level customer. I would recommend following the sales that ACE has, they do have some great sales and sometimes will match or beat local competitors. It is a nice little shop that has a surprisingly diverse bit of supplies. Thanks guys.

I am puzzled by the reviews I read here (as well as on Nextdoor) and wonder if the experiences…read morereceived were brought on? Ask yourself... do you know anyone's name in this store? My guess is you do not and that is not what this store is about. That said, I have been going to this sore location for about two years now.. and I am in here a lot, fixing up a new home after moving to Hobe Sound from Stuart (Now the Stuart ACE store is a whole-nuther-issue). I have always found what I wanted in the Hobe Sound ACE and sometimes kick myself for not going there first after not finding what I needed at the big lot stores (i.e. Lowes or HD) and then finding it here! Walk in.. introduce yourself, ask them their name and how their day is going and I bet your experience will mimic my own. A smile and a sincere question about a person goes a long way. I love this store.. Think about it... a hardware store where you can buy a garden tool, a high end gas grill, hammers, PVC piping, sliding door parts, Lanai screen tubing, paint, brushes, solar lights, stainless dock screws, and yeah.... some pickles and BBQ sauce....

We ordered our granite through here because the special they had going was way too good. It was measured and installed in two weeks and turned out great. Other than that, I usually end up here for my big box store purchases, so they must be doing something right.
