I asked him if he sold the key, he said no. I said charge me as if you sold me the key. He refused. Either way it makes no sense. They make keys. They didn't sell it, so what's the problem using the key I had to make one?

My guess is you do not and that is not what this store is about. That said, I have been going to this sore location for about two years now.. and I am in here a lot, fixing up a new home after moving to Hobe Sound from Stuart (Now the Stuart ACE store is a whole-nuther-issue). I have always found what I wanted in the Hobe Sound ACE and sometimes kick myself for not going there first after not finding what I needed at the big lot stores (i.e. Lowes or HD) and then finding it here! Walk in.. introduce yourself, ask them their name and how their day is going and I bet your experience will mimic my own. A smile and a sincere question about a person goes a long way. I love this store.. Think about it... a hardware store where you can buy a garden tool, a high end gas grill, hammers, PVC piping, sliding door parts, Lanai screen tubing, paint, brushes, solar lights, stainless dock screws, and yeah.... some pickles and BBQ sauce....

Then halfway out into the parking lot, I heard someone calling out, and I wasn't sure if I should run or turn to look, because things had gone too well in the store. Well It was Dudley returning one of the bags I left at the register. I was almost to the car, so Dudley offered to load my car and take the cart. Great job today guys!

Aisles so organized I swear even a blind mule could find a socket set in here. And the employees? Friendlier than a ranch dog that just heard the kibble bag shake. Every one of 'em said hello, pointed me where I needed to go, and didn't give me that "lost cowboy in the tool aisle" look I usually get. If every Harbor Freight ran like this one, I'd be broke... but happy. Five stars, easy. Cowboy-approved.

I stood in line at customer service to await my turn for assistance. Ron was the employee standing at the counter helping two ahead of me. When it was my turn for assistance, Ron told me to go to the aisle and wait on him. There were three males behind me, and he began helping them. I approached and confronted Ron, as I was the next to be helped. He again told me to go to the plumbing aisle and he would come. I did NOT, but instead confronted Ron as to why he was helping them when I was next in line. He continued to help the other three males behind me even as I stood there watching, and, in fact, they were all checking out when Ron came to help me. I don't spend my money in businesses that treat me like a second class citizen. I hope Home Depot and Lowe's puts them out of business. DISGUSTING!!!
