This is one of my favorite nurseries. Most of their prices are reasonable even fair. A few items are grossly over priced like many of their bromeliads that aren't in 4 inch pots. You can find them cheaper elsewhere. They always seem to have such nice stuff. They have odd hours though so make sure you look at them before going. We got a really good deal on a Michellia Alba tree these are going for hundreds at other local nurseries and we got it for half that. read more

Pinder's Nursery is amazing. SCW and I took the trip after living here for a while and it's about time we did. They have an amazing selection of plants, containers, landscaping products and anything you could want in a nursery. During Covid you needed to have a cart, which I assume is to ensure some social distancing which is pretty creative. You'll pretty much want a cart anyway as once you come in there are tons of plants that will catch your eye. The plants are all healthy and well cared for before you purchase them and take them home. They have native plants, herbs, lettuce, peppers, all kinds of veggies and fruits. Make sure you check out the butterfly garden. Watch your step in there please, you don't want to step on any of them. The butterfly garden has great ideas for what you can plant (and we did) to attract butterflies into your yard. SCW got quite a few plants to attract butterflies to our yard and they sure have come to visit, lay eggs, and even get some to hatch into caterpillars eventually becoming butterflies. It's a very cool process to see. The people here are very knowledgeable and will help you with any questions you have. The checkout is easy and quick. I stopped by to pick up a hanging basket and ended up spending about $175 on some beautiful plants and additions to my yard & garden. Best of all, I was extremely thankful for the assistance by Nancy, one of the employees outside. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure to interact with. I'm from Miami and visit here whenever I'm in town for work. I have never once experienced any of the negativities others in the reviews have claimed. The staff has always been friendly, and all of my plants from here have flourished in my care. It's always a pleasant stroll through the garden, and despite what others have said, the staff has been able to answer any and all questions I've ever brought to them. If the particular staff member I ask isn't quite sure, they find another that can help. Also, google is free to the public, it doesn't hurt to do your own research! I'm an avid tropical plant collector and always find something fun and unusual at Pinder's. I have been to countless nurseries, plant shops, and greenhouses over the years, and their plants are larger than average for the price point. Pinders Nursery on Martin Hwy in Palm City is by far one of the nicest well equipped and organized nurseries in town! They have so much experienced help that is right there for you, no looking all over for someone! They are very knowledgeable and friendly. You should see the assortment of plants they have plus beautiful pots to plant them in, it is amazing, they are all green and healthy. They have beautiful flowering shrubs and lots of vegetables to plant as well. I found exactly what I needed, they loaded up my car and off to plant my new shrubs. read more

My husband and I moved up to Stuart 8 years ago. A neighbor recommended going to Pinders for plants, I found flower heaven! The plants are more established than Home Depot or Lowes so they have a great survival rate after planting. The variety is outstanding. I also find the staff to be extremely helpful. I stopped in the other day and was helped by Nancy, I was looking for milkweed and she directed me straight to it. She was knowledgeable about where to plant it, fertilizers to use to help it along and what other plants were butterfly friendly. I had been to Pinders several times before and never had a bad experience until yesterday!! I rented a home depot box truck as I was looking to add a couple Christmas palms to my yard. I saw that they had one for 84.99 and the rest were 149.99 so I grabbed both which were the same size. At the reguster the asaociate charged me over 300.00 to which I pointed out that one was stickered at 84.99. She called a manager (a blond woman) who told me that the 84.99 plant was the last of their old inventory and that the new ones were 149.99. She proceeded (right in front of me) to tear the 84.99 sticker off the pot and said its now 149.99 even though she herself said it was the last of the old inventory. I was shocked!! She said "thats the new price period" so I said I have been a valued customer and would never return...I left. I went two places west and ended up spending over 800.00 there. Pinders is no longer honest and that manager, well she's clueless regarding customer retention. That move she pulled peeling off the 84.99 sticker right there in front of me was just so unprofessional. I wonder how many times she's done the same thing to other customers. read more

This nursery has a decent selection of plants and flowers,with competitive prices. I was greeted by two very pleasant and helpful staff members. It was a fairly enjoyable experience until we went to pay for the plants we selected. There were two young women at the check out area. All their attitude said was don't come back again. When did this start? After they asked my name ( I'm honestly not sure why) which is a very Jewish last name. If looks could kill. I also found it strange that they had these t-shirts stating " I'm vaccinated ". They weren't for sale. The sign actually stated to tell them if you received a Covid vaccine, because if you did, you get a free t-shirt.Why? Because they are proud of you. The whole experience was ridiculous and hurtful. Bottom line, if your Jewish and like to keep your medical records between you and your doctor, you may not want to shop here. read more

Came here as they were literally the last place in town for a Christmas tree. The trees left over were sparse but my wife said we can have a Charlie Brown Christmas, LOL!! We found our tree. The manager, Annmarie, gave us a tree for 40. My wife then saw a kumquat tree. She screamed she was so excited. We ended up getting the kumquat tree as well. The workers who helped us were very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. Laurie ended up lifting and tying our Christmas tree to the top of my car. The cashier girl, Ashley, ended up skipping and holding hands with my wife to the kumquat tree as she was so excited. We somehow got Both trees in and on my car. We were able to get everything back to the house. Shelly was also another worker who was very nice and helpful to us. I even gave the manager information on a new lavender which can live in south Florida. Hopefully she can get it ordered here. read more

My husband went back in Feb 2022, and not only were masks still required in the open air check out shed, but he was spoken to in a condescending tone repeatedly the entire time he was there. We run a naturopathic farm to table/holistic goods company and don't need to be talked down to when we simply want a quick in/out transaction. They haven't made a statement or reached out to me about how to connect and understand the asd community better or apologize for the treatment and lack of consideration for ASD. In fact, they've done the opposite and buckled down on their stance, which is nothing but power games at this point. They're clearly pushing an agenda with the previous reviews about disclosing you're private vax medical status. It's disturbing. They treat customers awful, as if we're the privileged ones to be there. Forget customer service, and start by learning human decency. We go to The Bushel Stop now. They're absolutely amazing and let my son pick out a few polished slag glass crystals for free with our 300$ purchase. They were very accommodating for ASD individuals. I suggest The Bushel Stop for anyone who won't be returning to Pinders. We tried to give a second chance as we've been Stuart/Palm City locals since the town was built, but they failed horribly. read more

What a great place to wander and get lost in the wonders of Mother Nature. We stopped in to buy two pots and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of tools, materials and variety of, herbs, orchids and plants. I wish I had a bigger garden space. What can I say about this place. Not anything good. First beware the plants have bugs. I don't know who took over this company when the owners retired but OMG. Immature and defiantly don't know how to treat people. And they yell at their employees right in front of customers. They are the most hatful people ever. They use social media to get their customers to gang up on each other. Post something they don't like and goodbye. I have never seen a company that will post nasty comments about their customers on social media and then block them when they try to get them to understand. . Be careful shopping there. I used to shop here all the time. Last time I was here I asked somebody about advice for growing certain types of tomatoes. The look on the person's face was one of total confusion. She had no idea which tomatoes to recommend. Not only that but when Terry and Marvin ran this business it was friendly and helpful and easy to get around.Now it's nothing like that they herd you from the entrance to the exit like cattle. Used to shop here all the time until I saw the response to a review a veteran had given them back in September over the way he was treated by staff members. The business actually tried to justify berating customers and behaving rudely and discriminatory towards customers over masks in an outdoor facility with their condescending response. They have been inconsistent with their policies regarding masks over this past year and refused to acknowledge this man had medical reasons for not wearing a mask. I am disgusted that a veteran would be treated the way he was. They made their customers feel uncomfortable and discriminated against. I used to come on a weekly basis, not anymore. I been to this place a lot, Absolutely love their plant collection and the staffs are so friendly, specially Dara, she help me with all questions about from finding plant to process step by step how to do wholesale order. I went there today for the first time to shop. They do have a very good selection of plants but not staff. The young lady who "greeted" me at the door wanted to be sure that I knew they were closing in 20 minutes. I did. When I checked out after buying $171 of plants and discovered that one plant was inferior, she told me they were closed. Come back. She never missed a beat in her walk. Very rude. They do not keep their information updated on their website. Their website is very poor and they do not even appear in nurseries near me, unless you scroll, scroll, scroll. Not a great shopping experience. COVID doesn't mean the staff can treat us as intruders and be rude. Which is how I felt. read more
