THE SAGA CONTINUES On 3/29/25 I was forced to publicly express my discontent with Baers repair service. Shortly thereafter I was assured the problem would be resolved. On 4/14/25 a service tech arrived at my home with the wrong colored legs "again". I expressed my dissatisfaction and once again requested an order be placed for 16 legs for the sectional and 4 for ottoman in Harbor Gray so the dye lots matched. As an alternative solution the tech offered to paint the existing legs out on my driveway. On 4/14 Customer Relations (CR) said a mgr would call me. No Call! On 4/15 I was told the store mgr would call me. No Call! It's nearing one year since the problem began and I continue to get first line of defense reps apologizing and assuring resolution, which included a voicemail on 4/14 saying it's being worked on. I now ask that a person with authority confirm in writing that an expedited order has been placed for ALL legs in the correct color along with a delivery date. In addition I also ask Baers to provide some level of compensation for my time, inconvenience and frustration in the form of either a discount to current order or a credit toward future purchase. SIMPLISTICALLY, this all could have been avoided 10 months ago. I'm hoping for an expedient resolution read more

Visited the store today. A sales person was assigned to me but he seemed disinterested. Another customer, a white customer, was leaving at the same time as I left. That customer was offered a free gift. I, a black woman, was not offered a three gift. Seems like they do not value black customers in this location, I will take my business 90 miles down to Broward, where they know how to treat black people. read more

3/29/2025 - TERRIBLE AT RESOLVING THE SMALLEST OF ISSUES!!!! Baer's furniture delivered a sectional sofa, in July 2024 with miss matched leg colors. Over the last 8 months we have had Service techs, customer service reps and local store managers tell us the legs were ordered and will be replaced BUT as of this writing no action. MY ADVICE - reject any delivery if not perfect because even the smallest of issue will be difficult to resolve despite acknowledgement and promises to resolve! read more

Although we did not purchase anything he took his time with us and showed us all available options and was super knowledgeable. I'm writing this review for my mother. Last Friday she went to Baer's Furniture Store in Stuart, FL with the intent to purchase a dresser that matched the bedroom set she bought five years ago. Peter Salamone was the salesman who greeted me. He knew exactly what I wanted and I had the purchase complete in less than twenty minutes. I asked Pete if there was any way the dresser could be delivered the next day. He said he would try even though the day looked full. I was so excited when he called and said the furniture would be delivered the next day, Saturday. By noon on Saturday I had the dresser. We went today with the goal to Purchase a leather sofa. We couldn't try them as that area was ribboned off they were working on the floor. When I mentioned that to a lady salesperson she was the rudest person ever for someone who probably works on commission. Don't know who she is but her sitting desk is up front. After she told me that there's other sofas, the work in the leather section might be done at end of the week...it's Monday. The quality of furniture is very nice but the employees all felt very pretentious. We bought the floor model and was told it would be wrapped before it was put in our car and it was not. They brought it out on a wooden dolly and he drug the back of the chair on the 2 steps of the loading bay and shoved it in the back of the car before talking to us about anything or giving us time to put something on the back of the chair. We are under time constraints and needed the chair for my father due to a health issue so we couldn't really do anything about the miss handling. Not very happy we spend over 1600 to get it home and see all the scratches on the back of it that we're not there prior to loading it in our car. And all floor sales are final so we couldn't return it if we wanted too. Shelly that sold us the chair was nice but left before it was even being loaded into our car and said multiple times it would be wrapped before I drove my vehicle around to the loading bay. Would go back to get other furniture but I would not let them treat my furniture this way if I had any other options of did not have time constraints and would most likely ask for another employee to assist us that made us more comfortable. read more

The first purchase I made at Baer's Stuart store was in 2021 and I have continued to shop there. The store is large and as I walked in I was greeted in a warm and friendly way by the lady who approached me. Her name was Liz and immediately asked me what I was interested today. From that point on all my furniture needs have come from Baer's and I always work with Liz. No matter what questions I have had they have been answered and she has gone out of her way to help me. Terrible experience. Had to go seek a salesperson after 30 min. This is when I met Peter Salamone. He reminded me that Baers was an upscale furniture store. I guess Peter felt I couldn't afford $8500 for a couch and loveseat. I had to pull the info out of him. I must have asked what the bottom line was 4 or 5 times. If I shop in a store like this I expect my experience to be different. Bassett treated me like a queen when I bought there. Walked away in the middle of the 10 minutes he spent with me. If I do buy the leather set think I would go to another store. I would never give him the commission. Rude and condescending. Treat people how u want to be treated. Beautiful furniture but lousy customer service. I had interest in a leather sofa and was in the store 15 min without any acknowledgement from staff. I finally asked a sales person where to find a specific sofa and she simply pointed towards the back of the store. Maybe one other customer was in the store - certainly not busy. I still don't have the battery pack for the sofa I bought at Baer's Stuart and nobody cares. The manager only looked for it after I waited 20 mins and then physically went into her office. Sales person promised to bring it on Thursday, no show, no call, no text, no email. I called today and now it is "no record that I bought it". Baer's has been our go-to furniture provider and consultant for many years because of their consistency and quality, none else to compare to and when it comes to the delivery personnel - they are top notch, white gloves and footies. Liz is our sales specialist and has helped us with our decision making and every item chosen, to perfection! Even when a special order chair would not fit through the BR door- no issue, they returned and applied to a chair that worked. Quite sure a competitor would have been so accommodating! We were told Baers was a good place to go to find furniture and they have a lot in stock. We went during a 50% off sale, but had a hard time knowing sale prices. I had a budget and we worked with our sales person to find pieces for our new home. About 2 weeks after we left, our sales person called to say they forgot to charge us for our bed we ordered. I still wanted it , so we paid separately from our other order. Now, a month later, we get our charge bill and Baers charged an additional 1700 onto our card without authorization, nothing to do with the bed. We called and emailed without any return calls or reply to our email. We had to call multiple times to finally speak to someone in the office and she tried to justify the charges saying someone changed the numbers in the computer and authorized charging our card the additional amount because the totals the day we purchased were off. The most fraudulent thing a business can do is mislead their customers about the cost of items then charge them the difference once they have their items. I don't think this is the first time they've done this deceptive sales practice. They can blame the sales person, but someone in the office changed our sales order and charged our account. Had I known the totals would exceed my budget, we would have proceeded to choose differently. They offered nothing to make this right. Buyers beware. Update: a person from their office emailed my husband that they had under charged us almost $3k and this is why they went ahead and charged our account without any notice. Before we received our statement, I ordered and paid in full, a coffee table for $1060. After learning of their deceptive sales practices, I called to cancel my order. They are keeping the money paid for the table as we've opened up a dispute with the card company for the non-authorization of the charges after we took delivery of the furniture. We placed an order for a $10,000 couch that was supposed to arrive in 2 months. When 2 months came and went we had to call for the status. We were told it was in production and they needed another 4-6 weeks. Well that time came and went as well. The next excuse was the foam factory has problems. we are now 6 months in and no couch. When we asked when we would get it, the best answer they had was August, that would have been almost 10 months waiting. all they said was that we needed to be patient. The last time I checked waiting 6-8 weeks for something was reasonable But waiting 9 -10 months without any certainty was absolutely outrageous. Very disappointed with a what we thought was leather sectional we purchased 5 years ago that is falling apart. We spoke to someone in customer service today only to be told that since we didn't purchase furniture protection that there was nothing they could do for us. Pieces of the "fake leather" are peeling off all over the place it's horrible. We dropped $5K on furniture for our living room and it needs to be replaced after two years of use (yes, we rarely even used the coach for the first 3 years...and by the way...there are only two of us living here. I ordered a beautiful Natuzzi Sofa and Loveseat that was 50% Offf!!! from Baer's and although it was a long wait for the Sofa section, I was supplied the Love Seat right away. While I waited for the Sofa, I learned the art of "Oozling" which is an Industry term used to describe procurement savvy. I had concerns about the Love Seat cushions and Baers had a local company Rep come out and evaluate. He gave me an entire lesson on Natuzzi Leather and Construction. I was impressed at the knowledge, craftsmanship and care for me and my questions as a new Client. I was supplied a wonderful complimentary Cleaning Care Kit for my Sofa that I have and use. Love it so much ... I went back to buy a beautiful Signature Desk. Had to wait for that too. Was inconvenient, but when that large and heavy Desk arrived and was handled with such care by their Movers, unwrapped gently, and placed meticulously where I asked... I couldn't be happier. Pam was my Sales Lady and was fluid with communication and updates, always open to Texts, Calls or Emails with questions or inquiries on the status of my orders. She worked with me and my budget, timed the Sales and genuinely cared about me and my satisfaction. She still keeps me apprised of any Sales going on. A wonderful Product and Integrity to back it. Is I could give a zero star review I would without a doubt. No company furniture or otherwise has ever made me feel as insignificant as this company. I ordered furniture in December and was told all three pieces would be available for delivery at the beginning of January. When only two pieces showed up I was very confused when they told me the third piece of the matching set would not be available until February or March. I explained if they would've told me this when I purchased the three-piece set or if they would've called before delivery I could've possibly canceled my order and ordered something that could all be delivered at the same time. I was told by my sales person Jennifer that I had already paid in full for all three items and that all three items were available and scheduled for delivery that day however one piece was damaged during delivery that morning. However three months later I was asked to pay a balance of nearly $500. When I explained I was confused I was told I had already paid in full instead of calling to discuss it they sent an email in all capital letters that it needed to be paid in full or they would cancel the order. Over three months time I called the store multiple times and asked to speak to either my sales person Jennifer or the manager. Every time I called during a 90 day period both my sales person and the manager were supposedly off that day. So either they took very long sabbaticals or they were just refusing to get on the phone with me. No one could give me an update as to when my furniture would actually be delivered. I could not get anyone in management or my sales person to return my phone call and the people who did answer the phone were dismissive, unkind and unhelpful. As far as I'm concerned the two pieces of furniture that were actually delivered are no better than Rooms To Go quality and the customer service I've received in the past at other furniture stores or really any other establishment has been far better than this store. It's not the fact that furniture was delayed which would be understandable. It's the fact that every single person who answered that stores phone made me feel insignificant, like I did not matter even though I was a customer. When I had questions regarding invoices and payments I felt as though I was being bullied instead of someone getting on the phone to review things and make me feel some level of comfort. The poor customer service at that store is so bad and wide spread that I have to believe it comes down from management. Especially considering I left multiple messages for the manager to call me back and she was never able to in a three months time. If you are someone who wants to feel comfortable with the purchase that you are making, if you are someone who wants to feel like you are being treated with kindness and respect THIS IS NOT THE STORE FOR YOU. read more

This is michael gillin i purchased a natuzzi leather couch in january 2016 it was deliverded by shawn and when unwrapped it had a split leg torn dust cover and white paint on grey leather. The first tecnician arrive and could not remove paint nor fix leg.After i made a visit to store and obtained the manigers name i called Vitginia and she made things happen. She sent out Russ a leather expert who assured me that he could fix problem. He removed white paint replaced dust cover and ordered new leg from natuzzi. The stellar customer service i received fron Virigina the manager was superp. She managed to turn a bad experience into a win win for Baers Thank you Virginia and i shall darken your door step again. I recently furnished an entire house using several local and national stores. I purchased my formal pieces from Baers as they had exactly what I was looking for. My sales associate, Liz Troncone, worked with me for 2 years, helping me to select and purchase the pieces I wanted from their Tommy Bahama line for the best price. They also stored my purchases longer than usual due to an injury that prevented me from moving on schedule, for which I am very grateful. My only reason for leaving 4 stars was the unprofessional office staff who were less than friendly to the sales associates in front of customers. That won't keep me away though. read more

A delivery notice service just slightly more advanced than smoke signals, arrogant delivery drivers who act like they own the place and a salesman who hits on the clientele's wives adds up to a furniture store that still thinks it's 2007 with no competition.
