This is strictly the home delivery department- I find it hard to believe a 14 hour window is needed for deliveries. This is absolutely absurd. Even a 6 hour window would be more acceptable - 4 - 6 hours would be ideal and is issued by anyone I've had deliveries, from furniture to lumber. Update: They were suppose to call 30 minutes in advance. They texted less than 10 minutes before they arrived. As the driver unloaded I went to view the items and open boxes, I mentioned to the driver-this did not look like enough material-let's look at it. As I opened a box...it was damaged tile in addition I was supposed to get 18 boxes-I only received 6, and they were damaged. By the time I looked up, the driver left. He hit our neighbors mailbox in doing so and never returned. The driver ignored me and any communication. I informed home depot, they initially wanted my neighbor to handle the repairs of the mailbox-? Really- I was instructed to contact Sedgwick using a phone #, when I called I received an extortion type survey question; it ask if I would mind...then leaves no option except to complete a survey-then you speak with no one. it needs to be fixed, at home depot's expense. I received a call about an hour later- that delivery was just a partial-they were going to send this delivery in 2 separate shipments. We weren't told this from the beginning either. Home depot needs Another logistics team-this has been very disappointing and discouraging. we had plans for a kitchen remodel - after this -We might be going to someone else to do the work. I will be willing to issue feedback after this is resolved. It seems like surveys and feedback should be requested after a customer receives the service that is expected and an attempt to actually resolve the issue. These people are slow and they will lie to you like a used car salesman. I ordered some materials from them and the materials arrived on a Sunday, but they were still in the middle of processing it. I called on Monday to ask if I can pick it up, and the guy on the phone lied to me and said it will be ready by the next day because the night shift are the one's who separate it. Tuesday came and went, nothing. No notification. Wednesday, came and went, still no notification. What the? How long does it take to separate the materials so I pick them up? I am very disappointed with this store with their customer service. My mother had purchased a dishwasher from this store, and after 3 months it finally came and when it got here it didn't fit. The delivery men unwrapped it and left and when the installer came, we realized it didn't fit in the location and the guy wasn't able to help us. When went back today, she was told they wouldn't take it back, no exchange, not even some discount, nothing. We're so frustrated, because we were told it would fit when she bought it. I was in the area and decided to stop by to pick up some PVC for my wedding project that I am currently working on. I needed specific measurements, but was hesitant to ask a store clerk. Well... I did so anyway, hah! He actually went on the intercom and asked someone to help me on aisle 9. Man, I'm spoiled! I was on aisle 9 pulling out the 1" PVC pipes. A gentleman asked me if I was the one who needed help. "Why yes I am!" Asked him if he's able to cut these PVC pipes for me and he states "well we aren't suppose to, but tell you what. I'll give you a sharpie and the measuring tape. And you mark, I'll cut." From that moment on, I had determined, this will be THE Home Depot I will be going to from here on out. I wish I got his name because he was super nice and helped me out big time! I could had bought the cutting tool, but recently injured my right arm and having some nerve damage. This is my favorite HomeDepot! People there are so helpful and right after the hurricane hit they were there for everyone there. You can see that the staff was working around the clock helping people rebuild their lives. We went in and Met Jill Ditterahan a HomeDepot dept mgr there. She was so helpful and understood what we were doing. We are a small non profit and the first time we went we needed gas cards that we bought for victims and donors of goods that were driving over 8hours to bring us supplies. We knew it was a hard task to find $3000 of gas cards to give out. She was so helpful and nice to us. We talked about our project on helping people rebuild was phrase 2. So we came back today to visit this same homedepot with 10 of our Harvey Victims and $5,000. She helped us find everything and made it so easy for us on her off day. This is truly customer service at its best. Many say big box stores are not like small community stores that give you that community and family feeling. But this HomeDepot is different because their employees and managers care. You can tell by the extra effort they put in helping people. Their willingness to go above and beyond. After this hurricane and flood, my experience along with our non profit is that this HomeDepot is more than a Store it is our community store that cares about Houstonians. read more

My neighborhood HD, what's happened to y'all?... As often as I visit this HD location, I'd wish the staff were more helpful or a bit more "proactive". After being passed off by TWO employees, finally I was told to "ask someone at the front / customer service". I then waited at customer service (there was NO LINE..just me & a lady behind me) for a good 15 minutes while LITERALLY 8 employees stood on their phones, next to 3 EMPTY cash registers - never acknowledging us waiting for assistance. They made eye contact with me more than once, but still did not ask if we've been helped. Sorry, Home Depot but you lost a $4,000+ sale from me this week - I was trying to get assistance in-store that day for my bathroom remodel, cash. I went to Lowe's. Let me introduce you to the one and only self service home depot. Where everything is everywhere and anytime you need assistance you have to add to your search, a worker who eventually will be so far away that you forget what you needed them for when you finally find them. Home Depot for me is one of those stores that you go in and can shop for absolutely nothing. Usually stores like this are great stores for men as we become kids in a chip factory. However at this location, don't dare have a question about something or can't find something as this will spawn so much time spent in the store that that happy happy feeling you had when you walked in turns into GET ME THE HECK OUTTA HERE!!! Surely after shopping at this location, your next stop will be a neighborhood bar and the task you were gonna do...just got cancelled. The good part about this store is that checking out is usually fast and if you got a fitbit you can knock out at least 5000 steps in 20 minutes. My mother ordered and paid for light bulbs online. Within one hour DeAngelo called to let her know that they were out of stock. She asked if he would check to see if a surrounding store would have them in stock. He said he would. He found them at the Copperfield. She asked if he would call them to confirm they actually had them before driving that way. He said he would. He called her back with 10 minutes to let her know that they have the bulbs and that he requested them be held at the customer service desk. He cancelled her original order. I went to the Copperfield store to pick them up for her and the bulbs were actually waiting at the service desk just as he said they would be. What kind of home improvement store can't fix it's own issues? At least hire someone to come fix your A/C. It's stifling in there. Then there is the women's restroom toilet seats. For forever all but one was broken. You have a section dedicated to toilets and parts. Go transfer some! The employees are hard to find and when you do it's always: That's not my department. **Walked out on job after 1 hour** PLEASE READ I DO NOT recommend using Home Depot contractor Cooper Installation for flooring. After waiting almost a month to have some one come to my home to install the tile flooring that I purchased (+ $3000) and had delivered from Home Depot the contractor Sasha from Cooper Installation walked out after 1 hour. He pulled out the carpet in the master bedroom stated floor could not be leveled and had too much moisture then left. Sasha would not return calls and Laura the receptionist at Cooper Installation would only take a messages but never had anyone return my calls. I spoke with Roxie at Home Depot (14085 NW Fwy Houston) and she patiently worked with me but she was unable to get anyone from their floor contractor Cooper Installation to call me back. I understand tile may not have been an option an I may have to select a different flooring (vinyl or laminate) or that I may have to pay more to get floor leveled and add moisture guard barrier installation but for no one to return my calls to even discuss other options is ridiculous and criminal. Especially when I had + $3000 worth of flooring and supplies (1 bedroom & hall) already paid in advance per Home Depot and Cooper Installation protocol. After a week with no resolution I spoke with Roxie at Home Depot and requested floor products be return and my money reimbursed. I'm still waiting on that reimbursement so I use another company. The initial "professional in-home flooring measure" required my Home Depot was a waste; the so called professional only measured but If you look on the Home Depot website floor installation service they should have inspected the floor in advance. read more

This tool rental department is absolutely the worst. The employees have not had any training in customer service. They rent tools to people without instructions verbal or written. My husband rented a cement saw in December for 4 hour rental. He got it home to find no blade. He took it back and gave the employees an earful. They said we assume everyone knows that you have to buy your own blade. (Assuming makes an Ass of someone) We then went back and he broke the screw that holds the blade on. Why you wonder? It is not a lefty losey or a righty tightly it is the opposite. Again, no directions from the employees and nothing on paper to explain all of this information. So we take it back and say it is almost dark we need to have a refund. They will not give refund instead the assistant manager of the store Nicole tells me to come back and they will let me have it without charge. And they tell me I will need to call 2 hours into using it to reset the time. Went back yesterday and I got screwed. The manager of the equipment Kim Archer says they won't honor that because they were not allowed to do that. The Assistant store manger Kim that promised this to me said sorry and they charred me again. I would have gone elsewhere but I had a man waiting to use the saw and I was paying him to cut the sidewalk. Also, when I looked at my receipt I notice I supposedly declined the damage protection. Kim the manager never offered it to me. Buyer beware 1. They do not educate customers on the products. Probably because they are not educated on the equipment or trained properly. 2. Store manager went back on her promise so untrustworthy bunch 3. Department manger said her staff was not allowed to offer me free use for not getting any use at all out of the saw. I paid 48.55 the first time for nothing but wasted time. I paid $42.22 the second time (should have been 48.55 damage protection never offered to me) Well again her employee and the assistant store manger not trained. We went to rent a Electric concrete saw. Picked it up to get it to where we were going to use it which is 40 minutes away. We pull it out to see no saw blade. We drive all the way back to find out you need to purchase blade separately. The 3 men (stooges) behind the counter said oh well. We asked don't you think that is something you should tell somebody that obviously is not a contractor but just a regular homeowner. No response. So we just wasted 1.5 hours and much frustration. This store is only ok. First, it is a smaller Home Depot store. They have all the standard departments - hardware, plumbing, electrical, gardening, paint, etc. If you need the basics they might have it in stock. On more than one occasion I have left empty handed because the particular item I was looking for was not stocked on the shelf. This location seems understaffed by comparison to some of the larger Home Depot stores. I have found the staff to be helpful when I can find someone for a given department. On my most recent visit there was only one checkout lane open so I chose self-checkout. I will note that as a female I feel more comfortable going to this location as compared to the Home Depot that is closer to my house. read more

I have had so many difficulties in this store, I'm not sure where to start. I tend to not like "big box" stores, but sometimes they fill a need. The last time I was in the store, I wanted a new dusk-to-dawn automatic spotlight to replace one on the house I just bought. They didn't have any in the color I was looking for. (I oddly, however, found one at Walmart across the street). The time before that, I was in there looking for assistance in finding a downrod for a ceiling fan. I couldn't find anyone in that department and had to ask six different employees for assistance. All except the last told me "I don't work in that department" and kept going. The last guy actually called the manager over who helped me. They gave me 10% off my purchase, but still, I had wasted 45 minutes. And the time yet before that, I was looking at a washer and dryer and for the life of me couldn't get anyone to help me, so I just walked out and bought a set at Conn's. And before that I was looking for an Oak medicine cabinet for my bathroom and they were out of stock of the one I wanted (but 4 nearby Home Depots had them in stock). Previous to that, I was looking for moving boxes. They were completely out of small and medium boxes. But, every time I've needed light bulbs or the special oddly sized a/c filter I need, they stock it. I went there to get a paint sample made up, and they were able to correctly do that for me. All in all, I wish I had a Lowes by me. I tend to not have issues with them. Worst Home Depot in Houston. This place obviously has management issues starting at the top, because it isn't just one or two employees, but all of them. They are all rude, unhelpful, and ignorant of their product. Home Depot corporate needs to investigate what is happening at this store, because it does not reflect the level of other Home Depots that I frequent very often (several around Houston, a few times a week). Anyway, finding anyone to help you here is next to impossible. Their cashiers are extremely rude. I told one to have a great day after checking out, and she just grunted "uh huh"...seriously? If I could give Home Depot a zero I would have. I bought a $2800 washer and dryer on September 2, 2018 and on September 15 it had not been ordered. I have called and gone there. Then I contacted corporate in Georgia and they took the issue away from Houston to resolve it. Afterworld got with two different people I was assured that it would be delivered Saturday September 29, 2018. I waited until 1:30 and had numerous text it's on it's way. Let me just say this review is about a deck install and not the store itself, but since he represented Home Depot I feel it's fair to lump them together. I stopped at the customer service desk and set up a free deck install estimate. I was contacted promptly and the installer came out a few days later. He ran an hour late. He reviewed our project. A very simple 9x12, low to the ground deck. He was preoccupied talking about my neighbor's fencing and a big 5K sq ft project for another customer. He never worked up the cost of materials and on the spot said he could do my job for 3K. So, my small deck and it's $400 cost of materials was going to run $2,700 in labor. I am not to sure about this location anymore. I mean, I understand that customer service has declined in all retail over the years from when I used to work in it. But I never ever want to feel uncomfortable returning an item, and $168.00 item, that did not work once we got it home and it put it together and hung it! We also had an electrician look at it to make sure it was weird properly. Still nothing, so it must be defective. When arriving with it, while I was talking to the associate, a couple walks up with a flat cart filled with return items, but it looked like they beat the boxes up before bringing them back. Another associate come over and starts whispering to the associate assisting me and they start talking about the couple that was waiting in line for their turn with the flat cart. Then he points to me and says "This one here that I'm doing?" She goes "No, that one." and is pointing to the couple behind me. And I immediately felt uncomfortable about doing a simple exchange. I looked at the gentleman a cross from me being helped and he look very uncomfortable as well as by this time all the return clerks and employees of Home Depot that were behind the counter were all making it obvious that they were talking about the customers waiting behind us. This was very unprofessional, even if those folks were returning items and being suspected of funny business. That is up to the managers discretion if they should accept the return. I think I drive a few miles further down the road next time to the Copperfield location. If you're taking on any special type of project where you need to order anything that's not already in the store just save yourself the headache and order it from literally ANY other Home Depot. The workers at this Home Depot are as incompetent as they come, don't expect them to be able to help you, and the store manager, Melissa, is incredibly rude. I placed a flooring order with them two weeks ago and it's still not in yet. I was told it was not in, then in, then not in a number of times. I finally contacted Home Depot customer care line to set up the delivery of the flooring to my house, because the store said it was the weekend and no one in the entire store knew how to set up a delivery, and they did! Finally!!! Progress! Twenty minutes later the store manager called me to tell me the floors aren't in yet and therefore can't be delivered to me. She FAKED SETTING UP A DELIVERY in front of the customer care person to make it look like she was doing her job when actually she was just trying to cover her butt. When I called her out on it she immediately became hostile and refused to help me. Long story short I still don't know where my $5,000 worth of flooring is and would never wish this type of treatment on anyone. Went to customer service to get some help on a patio set i wanted to buy and the employee in charge of that section was on break so they couldn't help me.
