This is the biggest and beat HGC location I have seen, so there are lots of cared for plants. Garden supplies as well. Note that a smaller nursery, The Yard Depot, which specializes in rocks and flag stone is located 2 miles south of here, same side of 290 just north of Huffmeister (by North Cypress Medical Center).

I have recently moved to the Cypress area, and was planning on a buying trip to the garden center today, but after reading the many negative reviews I will find another garden center.

1. Service - I've read other reviews about this place, and they say that you have to do your own…read moreresearch to know more about the plants. I didn't ask any questions, as I did my own research, but people don't come to you. It's pretty much self serve. Grab a cart, pick up your plant, bring to the register, pay and go. But I must add though, if something is too heavy, someone will help you if you ask. They have never turned me away on that. 2. Price - can be pricey, you have to wait for the sale to go. I've seen it go to 50% and sometimes 70%! 3. Ambiance - 25% indoor, 75% outdoor. It's nice. 4. Plants - good quality plants. 5. Cleanliness - everything is organized and well kept.

I don't know what is happening to the Houston Garden Center on Tomball Parkway off Highway 249…read more I've been shopping there for years, but my recent experience was very disappointing. On July 2, 2026 at around 8:00 a.m., I selected a shrub that was clearly marked at $30 (half price). When I got to the register, I noticed I was being charged $35 for the plant. I politely questioned the price and even told the cashier I had taken a picture of the sign showing it was marked at $30. Instead of offering to help or calling a manager, the cashier seemed completely uninterested and simply pointed toward the building, telling me to speak with the manager myself. I asked if she could please get the manager while I went to take a picture of the price, but she made no effort to assist. I then found the manager and took her to the display. The sign clearly showed the shrubs were priced at $30, and every plant in that section was the exact same variety. The manager told me the plant was probably misplaced and refused to honor the posted price, explaining that she was a new manager and could not do that. For a difference of only $5, I expected much better customer service. A business that values its customers would have honored the advertised price or at least made an effort to resolve the situation. I've always enjoyed shopping at this location, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope Houston Garden Center takes customer service more seriously in the future and ensures that prices are accurate and that employees are empowered to resolve simple issues professionally.

My mother ordered and paid for light bulbs online. Within one hour DeAngelo called to let her know…read morethat they were out of stock. She asked if he would check to see if a surrounding store would have them in stock. He said he would. He found them at the Copperfield. She asked if he would call them to confirm they actually had them before driving that way. He said he would. He called her back with 10 minutes to let her know that they have the bulbs and that he requested them be held at the customer service desk. He cancelled her original order. I went to the Copperfield store to pick them up for her and the bulbs were actually waiting at the service desk just as he said they would be. My parents are elderly so I really appreciated that he took the time to help my mom. Customer service was top notch today because of DeAngelo. Thank you!

This is strictly the home delivery department- I find it…read morehard to believe a 14 hour window is needed for deliveries. This is absolutely absurd. Even a 6 hour window would be more acceptable - 4 - 6 hours would be ideal and is issued by anyone I've had deliveries, from furniture to lumber. Update: They were suppose to call 30 minutes in advance. They texted less than 10 minutes before they arrived. As the driver unloaded I went to view the items and open boxes, I mentioned to the driver-this did not look like enough material-let's look at it. As I opened a box...it was damaged tile in addition I was supposed to get 18 boxes-I only received 6, and they were damaged. By the time I looked up, the driver left. He hit our neighbors mailbox in doing so and never returned. The driver ignored me and any communication. I informed home depot, they initially wanted my neighbor to handle the repairs of the mailbox-? Really- I was instructed to contact Sedgwick using a phone #, when I called I received an extortion type survey question; it ask if I would mind...then leaves no option except to complete a survey-then you speak with no one. it needs to be fixed, at home depot's expense. I received a call about an hour later- that delivery was just a partial-they were going to send this delivery in 2 separate shipments. We weren't told this from the beginning either. Home depot needs Another logistics team-this has been very disappointing and discouraging. we had plans for a kitchen remodel - after this -We might be going to someone else to do the work. I will be willing to issue feedback after this is resolved. It seems like surveys and feedback should be requested after a customer receives the service that is expected and an attempt to actually resolve the issue. A survey isn't what is considered customer service in my book-just more red tape.
