If you read their response, you will see the onus they put on the buyer as in daily monitoring their trees, keeping a log etc. Well, most people have a job, kids etc & do not sit in the backyard with a journal all day recording each leaf that falls. bottom line - Verdant installed 28 trees of which 26 died in a month!! Ignoring their loooong list of excuses, if that makes sense or is acceptable, then i guess that's that . I blew $15,000 with them and had to redo my backyard with someone with experience and my yard now looks terrific. dm me for pics or lessons learnt. Good luck with your project!

A few days later a team of tree guys came and professionally planted the tree in my front yard. Nice guys. Especially Israel. Within 30-40 minutes the tree was in the ground. Beautiful. decent size. full. Carrie did pick a great tree for us. we could not be more happy. I was replacing a 25 year old red oak which was uprooted during the recent Houston storms. I think the price was reasonable for a Leeland this size and with today's prices. We have been here before, but I noticed that someone mentioned that they started charging admission fees per person. We didn't encounter that, but the sign does say that the activities on the properly are for people coming to purchase a tree.

Every single time I go I find incredibly unique items. They have all of the standard bedding plants, trees, shrubs, roses, etc. What sets this place apart is ALL of the rest. I have found something here literally every time that I have never seen before. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and my plants have always been healthy and happy. If I had a truck I'd be bringing home even more things. You can find 7-15' trees and shrubs for about an incredible value. Their standard bedding plants are $2.49. They do have a large variety of pots, garden accessories, water fountains, etc. For our native plant garden enthusiasts you will find everything you need here, including native milkweed. I have never had a problem with the service. But you do need to go and ask if you have questions or need help. They have always been great to me. If you are used to someone following you around to shop, just understand that won't happen here. I also frequent Warren's, they are lovely, it's simply a different experience. Do: Come early, it's huge and you'll want to take your time. Wear your gardening shoes, the paths are wet and have soil on them. Ask if you have a question or don't see a price sticker. Bring your water and prepare accordingly for outside temps in TX. No, they do not have a restroom. Which is NOT uncommon with our local nurseries. Just plan accordingly and you will be so thrilled you did. The driveways are easy to miss, go very slow on the approach. There are two driveway/entrances and two parking areas. There is ample parking, it just looks a bit daunting at first. This is truly a rare gem. It has everything you could want for all of our hearts desires. If it's rare, hard to find, unique or fun, you're more likely to find it here than anywhere else I've been in HOU or SA. Do yourself a favor and drop by.

The staff are just the wonderful part of my shopping experience as they are eager to help customers. At 70+ with a bad back it is a tremendous help on the large bagged items. The guys are eager to load the car for me. However, on bagged soil amendments they tend to be water logged most of the time and, therefore they should consider building a warehouse to keep the bags out of the elements.
