I was only there one time in Spring but they have a good selection of everything that maybe needed for a yard. It's Not cheap but I think you are getting value for money. Prior to check out the staff prepares your cart (summarizing what you bought and pack items in cardboard etc). I will come back, but likely only next year. read more

Plants For All Seasons - Visit was 04/25/2026 - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Houston, Texas

Shocked at how busy this place always is on weekends. Expensive plants, citrus, and fruit. Can find way better prices at other nurseries such as JRN. They had two loquat trees there and both were covered with dirt or soil or something. Leaves and branches all nasty covered in dirt. No idea what's going on at this place. read more

I was in the store last weekend and Autum the cashier is a very rude little girl. after itild her she was rude she ran off with fake tears. her mother works there so they lied and defended her. she had no business waiting on customers. if they heard the audio they would hear her arguing with me. that's not how you treat a customwr that has been going in that store for 10 plus years. then the mother lied to cover for her daughter due ill behaved little girl. SHAME IN ALL OF THEM. very disappointed also with the quality of the flowers they were dried out and over priced. read more

recommend Plants for All Seasons enough! I was a little nervous about ordering a high-value plant like a Monstera Thai Constellation online, so I chose the 11cm pot to test the quality before spending more on a larger specimen. I can confidently say the experience was flawless, especially given the incredibly low price of just £12. Not only was the next-day delivery incredibly fast, but the plant arrived in pristine condition, perfectly packaged to prevent any damage during transit. The leaves are incredibly vibrant and healthy, and the variegation is simply gorgeous. A new leaf was already on its way when it arrived, which is a testament to how well cared for their plants are. The quality and value far exceeded my expectations, and the plants have absolutely made my month. I was so impressed that I've already purchased six plants from them and will definitely be a long-term customer. read more

THEY USE STYROFOAM IN THEIR SOIL. They have a mediocre selection of plants - mostly catered to yard work, not plant collectors (e.g no anthuriums). They carry plenty of soil and worm castings. They price things higher here. I don't expect customer service from a plant nursery but as another reviewer mentioned, the rude stares from the staff made me uncomfortable. I bought my pilea peperomioides from here. I took the soil apart, and the soil was heavily compacted, dry, and felt like styrofoam chunks. I inspected the "perlite" more and realized they were indeed styrofoam. Opting to use cheaper substrate to aerate your plants is not the way to go, especially if you're pricing your items higher. Thought I'd support a local business and was disappointed. Overall, I would not recommend coming here. Their prices are higher and use styrofoam to aerate the soil. Hard pass. read more

Friendly place, decent service. I couldn't find the variety of roses I needed, but they do have a good selection of roses. They have a great selection of fertilizers and natural soil amendments. Five stars for that part. Overall, I would have given them a five star review... but I left my name and number to find out if I could maybe special order the roses I needed. No call back. I called a few days later, they still weren't sure. I ordered them online instead. I'd rather buy my plants local. They were the third place I tried to find the roses, so not a common rose I guess... so can't really fault them for that. I bought soil amendments from them instead. read more

Every time I go to buy plants here they try and overcharge me. Every single time I go back and take photos of the prices so as not to be over charged. Then they get an attitude when the customers is upset they we were over charged. It's not worth it, which is a shame since their products are great quality! read more

very helpful. good variety of plants advice on planting, fertilizing etc. Reccoment highly! read more

I have only visited here once and I fell in LOVEEEEE! I went right after the cold front that hit houston and they still had a good amount of herbs and have the most beautiful houseplants in their greenhouse! They do have some harder to find plants (monkey tail cactus & "bo0bie" cactus). They also were giving away free bulbs and seeds at checkout and everyone was very kind. I love this place and will definitely be back! read more

This place is awesome!! Sherrie is always willing to stop what she is doing to answer any questions and provide advice. I have spoken with her brother and the numerous staff regarding different issues (garden, plants, fertilizers, pests, etc.) . They all have been extremely helpful, are very knowledgeable, take value into consideration and do not push a specific product. When I initially visited their store and purchased veggies from different places that season, I noticed the quality of their vegetable plants outperformed competiors. Now, I only go to Pants for All Seasons for everything! read more

Great plants, knowledgable employees who have always been so polite and helpful. Plants for All Seasons has long been our favorite and most trusted nursery. So, we were very disappointed today when we dropped by in the rain to pick up a few vegetables and faced unmasked employees both ourside and in the check-out portion. My husband politely questioned, "No mask?" The bearded man (whom I have always really liked) replied with a hint of defiance, "I don't wear masks." We skirted him and went to another man who was thoughtful enough to cover his face. My husband went inside to pay only to face a man and woman with no masks! Obviously management is def iant of Texas mask code and without concern of others. In the immediate future when we are replacing a large garden of winter-damaged plants, we will be search for another nursery. read more

I just found my new favorite garden store! Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful selection of plants for all reasons. Their retail store has an impressive bird feeding section, gifts and more. Reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back! read more

I loved my experience shopping here. Working w Matthew to redesign my yard after the freeze was a beautiful experience. The knowledge I learned is priceless. Regarding mask wearing, I could care less about that. It's time to move on and shop outdoors without a mask read more

These guys are very knowledgeable. I was impressed with the service and the recommendations they provided. I visited thinking I needed a product for my yard given it was dying. I showed pics of the grass and they sold me not what I thought I needed which was much more expensive but recommended a product that was less expensive and would take care of my issue. Good work. read more

Good selections and very knowledgeable staff. Helpful people will even pack up your plants for you.

If you need REAL lawn and garden expertise, skip Home Depot next door and come here. Knowledgeable, helpful folks, and they can help with more environmentally-sensitive solutions if that's your bent. I'm willing to pay more at PFAS for many items, in order to support their expertise that is unavailable elsewhere. It's worth noting, however, that in some areas (note -- herbs and vegetables) they are significantly cheaper than Home Depot and the like. read more

We love go shopping there because they have a beautiful selection of plants and all gardening supplies. Prices are fair and service is very good! read more

I love this nursery! They're plants always do really well for me. Any time I have a question the employees have always been fantastic about helping me. I've been shopping here for about 4 years. I suggested my Mom and Brother visit about a year ago and now they're regulars too. read more

My wife and I (who are African American) have purchased a few plants from this store, and never really paid attention to how we were treated as customers until recently. We have been ignored and not helped liked the other customers. I don't think PFAS appreciate our business so we will not be going back ever again. Our dollars might not matter much, but if more people like us read this post or others that care about how others are treated that don't look like them stop buying their plants. I believe it will make a difference. We all are created equal so we we shouldn't be treated differently. read more

I bought quite a few plants from Plants for All Seasons, then lost my receipt. They recovered the receipt for me right away, and I realized I was short three plants. I went in within a week and picked up my receipt and my plants. I can't think of anywhere else on earth that would have happened. VERY pleased with the friendly, quick, and professional service here. I won't be shopping anywhere else for plants. read more

Love this place, I come here alot. These old reviews "OMG they don't wear masks" crack me up. I applaud the business for not making them wear masks Everyone I have encountered is knowledgeable and polite. Yes prices are higher, but it's a small business, it's not Walmart. Never had problem there and it's my go to when i have questions. read more

This place isn't worth the prices. One person asked if I needed help and I think that's only because I might have been in his way. The guy that took my cart and wrote up my ticket told me too soil was $2.99 a bag. I said I needed 2. I ended up with 3 and was charged $5.99 each. The girl at the register needs a customer service class! Didn't make eye contact or even say a thank you. I'm giving 3 stars for the Big Foot. That was funny!! read more

After hearing Sherri on the radio this morning, my husband suggested that we go to Plants for All Seasons for our first spring plant shopping trip. We had a great time at this beautiful nursery!! So many beautiful colorful plants!!! Everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. Matthew helped us pick out appropriate plants for a difficult area of our flowerbed. We will definitely be back! read more

I don't ever want to go to another nursery but Plant for All Seasons! I've strayed and went to big box stores looking for deals and ended with a less satisfying experience. Surely there must be better? Even lured by coupons to Houston Garden Centers and you know what? You really do get what you pay for. Each time I've come here, there were very knowledgable people to answer questions. One even drew me a diagram on how to plant a a tree properly. Another time, someone gave me great landscaping ideas after looking at a pic of my yard. Super patient and helpful people. I bought a blueberry plant at one of the big box stores for $10. I picked the best from the lot and it kind of resembled a cousin to Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. A limb clinging for life, seriously, it was just a branch. For the same money, at PFAS you got at least 3 branches and even tiny berries! Hope! But for 3 times the money you got a full on bush! I read that a good blueberry bush can yield 15 lbs in a year. Organic blueberries are what? Around $5/pint. Oh awesome return on investment! I went with the big beautiful bush. Thank you. Yup. P.S. The young guys will write your order, hold it at the door and load the car for you. Bless'em read more

A very helpful staff and a large selection of plants of all sorts! Adorable garden decor can be found all over to purchase/ from plant hangers to pot gnomes ~ Clean, well-stocked restroom that I wasn't scared to visit while my mother fawned over different eggplant and tomato plants. There is a butterfly hatchery that you can go into! Beautiful flowers and butterflies were quite the sight to see. I did not brave going in (my luck they would all fly out!), but I enjoyed making an instagram video featuring the little guys fluttering about. read more

They got off to a good start by not compelling anyone to wear mask - and their service was spectacular. I asked a barrage of questions to staff who gave obviously knowledgeable responses and appeared to love their jobs. They helped answer my questions until I was entirely satisfied. I have not had better service anywhere for years. read more

Normally I enjoy coming here but lately the staff doesn't wear masks. If they want to put their customers at risk that's fine- I just won't be shopping here anymore. read more

This place is such a wonderful business! They have the knowledge to help you choose the right plants for your home. They are very helpful and pleasant. The variety of herbs, plants and seeds is plentiful. I plan to revisit as much as possible! Great place! read more

#1, they carry the right kind of products for our region. The big hardware stores do not have the right lawncare products, gardening products, plant types etc... #2, they are beyond knowledeable. There are not a lot of places that you get to speak to someone with such expertise. #3, they are so friendly and ready to give you help and tell you the important things you should know win-win-win read more

These guys know their stuff. So many people from my neighborhood come here. I love that Plants for All Seasons doesn't sell commercial stuff. They sell things made in Texas for Texas lawns and follow Randy Lemmons' advice as closely as they reasonably can. I have been coming here for years and have never, ever been disappointed. They sell ladybugs and worms. Leaf mold compost which is excellent for your lawn. The other day I took pictures and emailed them to PFAS and they emailed me back with what they suspect my problem is. I love the help here. They are always seeking out customers to assist. . They have great advice, friendly knowledgeable staff who've been here forever. I just can't say enough good thing about them. As other reviewers say - skip Home Depot, skip Lowe's, and come here. You won't be sorry. read more

Attentive and helpful staff with your gardening questions and loading your heavy purchases to your vehicle. The price is not as competitive to other brand name stores but the selection is unique. You may find something interesting here for sure. read more

I flew to Houston to spend time with my daughter as it's her birthday and one of the things we planned was to help landscape her yard. (I have a 2-acre garden back in GA.) We came to the nursery on the 10th of May with the plan to buy soil, plants, etc. With ~24 minutes left before closing, we were turned away and were told they were closing so they could beat traffic. (Traffic was already bad as it took us a while to get to the store.) I'm surprised a local business, which we wanted to support, would turn away a customer. We ended up going next door to Home Depot and spent $525.00. This is the first of 4-5 trips. We were told, "come back tomorrow". I don't have that much time here to help and we ended up working on the yard all last night. Surprised this company could turn away $2.5K from one customer. Never judge a book by its cover and don't turn away a paying customer well before closing time. read more

Great and friendly service every time! After running around and going to most of the plant nurseries around the cypress/tomball area this place brings me back every time with their selections and service. Staff is very helpful and friendly, I highly recommend! read more

Very knowledgeable staff, kind & always ready to help. They actually hire horticulturalists who were able to tell me my soil type for our new home based on neighborhood location - and they were so accurate! Quality plants with no aphids or disease. Highly recommend. read more

Look no further. This IS the place to buy any type of plant you're looking for. I say this for many reasons: 1) great selection of healthy plants, 2) plants are well organized, 3) knowledgeable staff that are friendly and helpful, 4) good prices read more

Maybe it was a Monday and the weekend folks cleaned out a lot of their inventory, but I found the selection somewhat limited. The people were nice enough, but I had higher expectations. Well, off to Arbor Gate. read more

Gardening without the commercial appeal, I've finally found you! My grandmother used her chickens to fertilize her vegetable garden and it was always so fertile. Never ran to the grocery store except to sell her stuff and now I know it's because of the chicken manure. The chicken compost I've found here is the real stuff; light to shovel with high organic nitrogen, calcium and other mineral content. No synthetics. It does have a small smell the first few days of use but a good mixture of compost and soil (1:1 or 1:2) does well for our balcony garden. I'm in awe they have authentic Chiltepines and lime trees (non-hybrids). Charming, efficient, clean and well-taken care of. I love the green vibe to this place. read more

Everyone is super nice and helpful here! After giving me the information on the different types of soils. He gave me a tag for my selection which I brought to cashier to pay for it. I walked back outside and he offered to carry to my car. They also sell succulents here for $2.99 ea. read more

I love this nursery...They have beautiful roses that I cannot find at other nurseries throughout Houston, and this is the only nursery I've been to in Houston who has alyssum in stock. There is a little indoor shop stocked with orchids, terrariums and gift items and I was able to find a pretty ceramic orchid pot at a great price. There are ample variety of flowers and citrus trees and some great pottery at great prices, and the staff are so attentive and helpful and always willing to lend a hand with lifting heavy items like pottery and loading them into the car...so glad we found this place. Despite the distance from my home, this is one of my go-to nurseries now...well, worth the drive. read more

Definitely my go-to place for quality plants and any kind of gardening advice! Have a plant with spots on its leaves? Pluck a leaf or two and take it there. They'll let you know whether it's fungus, a nutrition issue, or insects. And they'll have the remedy. They've helped me with lawn problems, pest problems, and finding the perfect ground over. There are cheaper places around, but then you better know what you're doing, 'cause you're on your own. I had a friend who bought something from a cheapo garden center and almost killed his huge gorgeous magnolia tree. Stick with people who know their stuff! read more
