Read their clauses in their contract carefully…read more In hindsight I feel a full service provider such as Hogue Landscape or similar companies may make more sense as they grade, do a free design, install, check your irrigation rather than show up with a bunch of trees of debatable quality & wish you luck. If you read their response, you will see the onus they put on the buyer as in daily monitoring their trees, keeping a log etc. Well, most people have a job, kids etc & do not sit in the backyard with a journal all day recording each leaf that falls. bottom line - Verdant installed 28 trees of which 26 died in a month!! Ignoring their loooong list of excuses, if that makes sense or is acceptable, then i guess that's that . I blew $15,000 with them and had to redo my backyard with someone with experience and my yard now looks terrific. dm me for pics or lessons learnt. Good luck with your project!

I called and ordered over the phone and left the tree selection to Carrie. Trusted her to pick a nice tree. A few days later a team of tree guys came and professionally planted the tree in my front yard. Nice guys. Especially Israel. Within 30-40 minutes the tree was in the ground. Beautiful. decent size. full. Carrie did pick a great tree for us. we could not be more happy. I was replacing a 25 year old red oak which was uprooted during the recent Houston storms. In retrospect we are actually happy the oak is gone. Thank you Verdant and especially Carrie. Great job. See the picture below!!

The staff are simply wonderful, genuinely friendly, and extremely helpful. Also, they hand out KOI pellets to those of us who are addicted to them. I have had the privilege and pet the KOI while feeding. It's unlike any other experience you've had. My most recent visit was to pick up some "Dirty Dirt" which is dirt made from food waste compost from the Heights area of Houston. While they're much more expensive, its top quality product and all of my plants thrive living in it. I planted my most recent batch of garden plants, several different types of Certified Organic/Non-GMO potatoes (the plants are sprouting thru the dirt and it's only been a week!). In addition, I got an Orange tree, Swiss Mint, and a few other little goodies for my back yard. The staff answered all of my questions and I went home feeling like I had a true experience. I spent 2.5 hours there, they were very peaceful and happy 2.5 hours. I highly recommend spending some time here.

If you have a koi pond or are thinking of getting one, start here. They had so many in various sizes, an assortment of fish, lillies and other water plants, fountains... and then your regular nursery selection. We bought some stuff for algae control, a water pump, and some faux wood floaters made from cork.

Extremely Disappointing and Misleading Experience!!!!!!!!! I am beyond frustrated with Amanda Bee's…read moreFlorals. For weeks, I've been calling and emailing them with no response, even though their website indicates they are still operating. Desperate for answers, I checked their Facebook and Instagram, where they've been posting regularly and even have daily stories, so I decided to message them there as well. After three more weeks of silence, I went to the brick-and-mortar address listed, only to find that it's no longer there. There wasn't even a sign on the building! This whole situation has been incredibly misleading, wasting my time and effort. If the business is no longer operating, they should be clear about that instead of leading potential customers on through outdated information online and active social media. I'm deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and communication. Even if the brick and mortar location shut down and they're operating elsewhere, they first and foremost should update that information, but also they could've AT THE VERY LEAST emailed or messaged back seeing as they are active on social media stories. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you're in need of a florist.

The bouquets and really all of her flower arrangements are uncommon, whimsical, and modern, plus they've always been fresh! SUMMARY - independent florist - unique & affordable flowers - delightful / not being sold to - local gifts & cool upgraded vases or flower pots SHOP HERE - You're looking to send flowers to someone in Houston. - You're buying flowers for a romantic date or special person. - Your partner likes receiving flowers but you always forget - Amanda Bee's even has subscription flowers! - You prefer locally owned small business and independent businesses. DETAILS Her style is called "garden-modern" or compote (asymmetrical) flowers - read: romantic, whimsical, so they'll easily stand out from the generic grocery store bouquet. PRICING The bouquet price points include an affordable range so I actually can gift accordingly. GIFT SHOP Now that Amanda Bee's has a storefront that includes gifts, I can ask her to include something with the delivery. Gift shop prices range from cheap to affordable for gifts like locally poured candles, pins, and stationary from independent illustrators and artists. Higher end gifts include bespoke hand crafted statement earrings and breathtaking pressed flowers (to hang like stained glass). TRUSTWORTHY I typically go with the weekly arrangement but sometimes I've planned enough to request special colors - I've never been disappointed! I'm a last minute shopper or a major planner - there's no balance for me. I never even have to stress over trying to choose because she's that darn good!

The employees may just be lacking social skills. A friendly greeting and a smile from the employees would certainly be appreciated. It's hard to believe they are not trained to be friendly and not annoyed with customers. I tried to be extra friendly and appreciative of their service hoping to change their attitude. It did not. They do not honor their mistakes, I honestly am in shock reading the reviews how this place is still in business not only that you cannot get a hold of corporate in anyway, the only number that I found you cannot leave a message because the mailbox is full, that says it all right there! Please consider buying from small business nurseries!!
