The people here are just useless The staff, everyone (sorry I can't be nice on this one) Whenever I've placed online orders to this location, everyone starts finger pointing and acting confused. The employee totally disregard managers' orders, managers blame everything on online and claim their hands are tied, calling online, they will tell you send you back to the store or tell you the item has been discontinued after weeks of misleading you and even causing you to lose money/holding cost on your property etc.. Suddenly, an item with estimated delivery of 3 days becomes 6 weeks if not eternity and it's mostly because this store makes everything so bad when the items arrive, they either misplace it or send it back to manufacturer even though you have an open case with the managers. sorry there's so much to complain about this store I'm having a hard time being coherent read more

wow. definitely the worse HD I have ever been in. we had to return a 300 lb vanity as we found it wouldn't fit up the stairs. we waited for over 30 minutes and went to both Returns and Pro Desk and they both called and no one came. we finally wrestled it off my truck and onto a cart and got it returned. I needed water but almost all of the coolers were empty.two employees were having an argument in front of the customers Including throwing things. Lowes here we come. read more

Home Depot is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I bought an LG washer dryer that leaked from Day 1, which I reported, and after 48 hours, Home Depot refused to deal with it. On the THIRD visit, LG sent a single guy, who couldn't move it, and refused to work on it. He then claimed that I would have to hire movers to move the washer/dryer in and out of the closet every time they came back to work on it. I've been to this Home Depot a handful of times. It's fairly easy to get to once you endure the confusing traffic circle from hell. It's everything you expect from a Home Depot, every kind of power tool, wide aisles, and the only employees available are in the appliance section. Was thrilled for delivery and assembly of our grill on Monday. Finally got ahold of our grill via Home Depot Somerville (Everett was less than helpful and Home Depot provided no update after not delivery on Monday) it was eventually delivered Friday... so glad we waited for a week to get a boxed, Unassembled grill that could have been put in my car on Saturday. Delivery person was rude and unable to bring a car down our street (normal size with no traffic) and told us that "he doesn't do that" when we asked about the assembly which was part of the deal. Would go to Ace hardware if I had to make another purchase from a hardware store. read more

On the very plus, an employee helped me jam a fully-assembled dual smoker/gas grill in to the back of KG's whip. With -3 inches to spare, he ran back inside, snagged some tools and returned to detach the chimneys, lift the meat charring chassis and wedge it in the trunk. Is that a hand raised? Yes, yes sir, do you have comment? "That's what she said." Real mature. Anyway, the whole thing took 20 minutes and the staffer did it with a smile. On the negative, you get what you pay for and that includes free assembly for purchased items. Said grill had loose bolts, missing pieces, a broken grill grate (they replaced it with one from the floor model) and the kicker... the gas and smoker hoods were swapped. Kinda hard to infuse cherry wood in to a pork butt when there are massive vents on the rear of your smoker top. Meanwhile, if the jets die on the gas side, you're basically accumulating an explosive cloud of propane. Net net: service is a plus, assembly is a minus, inventory is standard Home Depot. read more

You know.... every employee is always on the phone or chatting in a group with each other. If you want to ask them a question - they avoid your gaze. What did I do? I had to block them with their cart so they pay attention with me. What did he say? Also this is while he's chatting with his co worker " excuse me " cause I'm in his way. Yes I need to ask you a question on where to find something. Then half of his answers were incorrect so that sent me on a wild goose hunt. They don't sell roof storage for your car by the way. Only one guy which I had to ask again was helpful. This is a store full of zombies. No one knows where anything is! It took so long to find something when I asked them exactly where they would be. Also they really shouldn't start collecting the carts outside only to quit halfway and leave them in the middle of the parking lot. read more

Albert albert ablert. Custom countertop guy! Albert, this guy is a piece of work. Albert is responsible for ordering custom countertops. Two sundays ago, he flat out stated that he would not be able to help my wife and I because he had to go eat lunch. He had his lunch box out on the desk and said that we'd need to draw a picture of what we needed despite the fact that it was one piece of counter 23"x81.5" of which we had an exact plywood cutout. We asked for a piece of paper to draw a rectangle on with the dimensions for him to fax but at that point we decided enough was enough and left. Lowe's was very helpful in getting the counter top ordered right away. read more

No matter what item I said I was looking for, they knew exactly where it was and the best route through the store to save me time. They even grabbed me a cart and took me down through the store to get me the items. They were both very prompt, knowledgeable and super friendly!! Great experience!! read more

I purchased a dishwasher in-store, and that experience was perfectly fine. My main complaint is that I've called the store at least seven times regarding issues with the delivery and installation of said dishwasher and on only two of those occasions has anyone actually answered the phone. The other five times it was left to ring, ring, ring endlessly with no one picking up no matter which extension I tried. Is no one free in this entire giant store at 1:30pm on a weekday to answer the phone?? Once someone did finally answer, I was transferred from person to person about eight times before, 17 minutes later, finally being told that the person who can help me isn't in office and will have to call me back. I've been coming here purely for the convenience but I may start making the much longer drive to the nearest Lowe's to avoid the headache. As for inventory, the selection of water hammer arrestors was also lacking. Otherwise, the selection and service in this store is a solid "fine." read more

This store is such a huge pain in the ass when it comes to anything close to giving customer service. The website is not updated regularly and when it (the website) says that they have something, the store actually doesn't. When you call to double check said item in stock, you get put on hold indefinitely and have to call back at minimum 3 times and when you DO get someone, 50% of the time you hear an exasperated sigh that you're actually making them do their goddamn job in the first place. When you get there and need something done specific, like cutting boards or beams to size, finding someone capable of handling the job is a true search effort. When you find someone wearing that beloved orange apron, you get a glazed-over look and they tell you they can't do it, but they'll find someone who can. And, by golly, 10 minutes later someone does come wobbling over like I interrupted their coffee break. You then tell them what you need at what measurement and 50% of THAT time, they'll tell you that it's below the minimum width allowed (which, I swear, is made up because almost every time the employee that day gives a different number). Really? I've cut boards before narrower than that in high school shop class with tools nowhere as good as the saws these guys have with all the safety features on it. Just punch in the code to start the saw a-buzzing and I'LL do your job for you so you can go back to sipping your Dunkies Extra-Extra. Here's another one; I'm pulling 4'x8' sheet of T1-11 boards off the shelves to load on the cart and these bastards are heavy as well as unwieldy. Two HD employees stroll by chatting to each other and offer no help whatsoever. None. The kicker is that this could be a review for damn near every HD in the area. read more

Miserable people with their heads caught up their asses. Every single employee I encountered at the Everett Home Depot was completely uninterested in helping... actually, I'll take that a step further. Not a single employee even made eye contact or acknowledged my existence the THREE times I asked for help. Here's my example: I'm at the customer service counter to get some keys made. The girl doesn't look up, or seem to notice I'm standing there. A few "ahems" later, she looks up, rolls her eyes, and says, "do you want something?" DO YOU WANT SOMETHING... she asked me if I wanted something... You've gotta effin be kidding me. "I need some keys made," I responded. "Go wait over there and someone will help you shortly." She said. It is then that I notice she's on her cell phone, with her back to the counter. After about 5 minutes of talking on the phone she hangs up, and guess what she does. Go ahead, guess... Okay, I'll tell you; she walks over to the key machine and says, "How many keys?" What a joke. Miserable experience... and similar stories with two other employees. I'd go to the Somerville store over this one ANYDAY. read more

I enjoy walking around home depot in Everett ,,the store is set up so when you browse around you can get ideas for your next project !! I resently went to paint a room the most helpful employees are their from the Time I found my paint to mixing ,and assuring me to try paint brushes, I might not have chosen ,, it made my painting much easier also ask about painters tape which made it so easy not to make huge mess !! On to the lighting found awesome light that accent my room without over matching ,, And as I was browseing I found small area that has custom blinds and guess what , you guessed it they showed me how to measure and pick out the most beautiful blinds and the latest styles ,, Big thanks to the customer service of the custom blinds dept ,, Will 100% be going back for my next project!! read more

I go to this HD a lot because of the Costco right next to it. Sure, some guys there know more than others, but, the two people I've actually needed to rely on for assistance as I've been renovating my kitchen were both quite helpful. Quick background on my renovation knowledge is, I've never done it before, but, I Google, I watch a lot of HGTV, that kinda thing. So I know the basics of good kitchen design, but, that's about it. The cabinet guy Rao has seriously spent at least 4-5 hours with us. We came in with an initial floorplan in mind, but we've had to change it 3 times since (our floorplan has proven a bit tricky due to some pipe placements.) He had a bunch of ideas, some of which we took, some of which we didn't. He's called Kraftmaid 3 times to try and get us a new model of cabinet (foot-swipe activated auto-open trash cabinet) which they have not yet distributed to HD. He told us a bunch of ways we could get discounts, and we ended up getting 15k worth of Kraftmaids for 11k. Really enjoyed working with him. Also worked with John F in the Doors & Windows dept, spent 2 hours with him trying to design some custom windows with some very specific dimensions and decoration. Talked to the manager there once about something, she was totally fine and friendly. Only not giving it 5 stars because, well, you can't 5-star a Home Depot, that kind of just dilutes the meaning of the 5-star. read more

I was at Home Depot trying i. Everett to looked at flowers For my mothers grave site.We found one 3 plant of flower on the ground and they were just what I was looking for. These flowers were the only ones left in the garden section of the colors. While checking out a lady came up and was saying that they were her and I couldn't take them from her. The flowers had no sing on them to hold them that they were spoken for. Since I was MID check out I told her I needed them and again no holed sign. The cashier finally sided with her. I asked what her plans were for and she said her front yard so I asked her if she wanted me to let her know what mine was for and they were for my mothers grave site. I walked out very angry The cashier didn't do anything but stand there towards the end she's had an opinion. Since we were halfway through the checkout she should've just checked us out for all three plants. read more

I used to go here about 2-3 times a week for work, and for my own house. Its never crowded, and is a pretty standard home depot. For some reason i always have to use the bathroom when im in a home depot or lowes, usually because its the first thing in the morning, or last thing at night, when i go there. Anyway, the mens room at this location is HORRIFIC to say the least. Im guessing it gets cleaned once a month? If I wrote the AWFUL things Ive seen, yelp would probably remove this review! Actually, words cannot even describe what i have seen in there. I dont know what HD cleaning policies are, but come on, theres at least 20 people working per shift! Have someone check/clean the goddam bathrooms every couple of hours! Now, I drive the extra 10 mins, and go to lowes in saugus. read more

I don't understand why such a big chain like the Home Depot will advertise opening at 6 AM and they don't. From why I hear from the employees waiting for them to open there is no manager to open the store this is pretty amazing you have about 15 to 20 employees and maybe 30 customers waiting and they have no managers that's crazy bad. I guess I'll go to another store. I could say more about this but I'm not going to, i'm sure Home Depot this big chain don't care about my opinion or anyone for that matter. I normally go to Somerville, b/c my experience has rarely been good at Everett, but recently i had them deliver a bunch of stuff from the Pro desk. A couples of days later, I needed to make a change so I called, waited over 40 min on hold, and when they picked up, they told me they can't change it. I was not happy about that since I have changed delivery orders before and I feel like they just didn't feel like doing it. 20 min later, I called again, and waited again for 30 min, they picked up the phone and suddenly, and magically this time, they could change my order. A third of the stuff didn't arrive. So I called, waited 40 min on the phone and decided to just drive there while still on the phone. I got there while still on hold, and the person at the desk was just staring into blank space. I think some people working there are pretty good, but there are definitely some bad apples that makes the whole experience terrible. One time I needed to cut a peice of 16 feet wood into 2 8 feet. I asked the worker there to cut it for me specifically into two 8 feet pieces. Without measuring, he just cut it, obviously it wasn't 8 feet. I wasn't happy about it, but I just was too tired to argue. read more

Ghost town near closing. Quite simply not the hardware store of our forefathers. The helpful/interested service staff to terrible/disinterested service staff seems close to 1:43. How can there be so many people wandering around yet unsure of where things like "packing tape" exist on shelves for purchase. Why oh why. Compare their staff with other hardware stores (ahem, starts with A and ends with ice minus the i). I often play games with their staff by asking where oddities exist. They. Always. Know. How? I have no idea but it has proven to me that hardware store staff CAN know where products are located within their place of work. read more

I love this whole shopping center - it features one of my favorite Targets ... Panera Bread ... Old Navy ... I could go on and on. Home Depot is clean, organized and offers helpful staff. They can make recommendations if you are considering buying an AC unit or patio furniture or even if you have questions about flowers and plants. read more

I have been to this Home Depot on a few occasions lately for random things like having duplicate keys made, window and door insulation, and light bulbs. I have had a good experience every time with an employee always on hand to help you find what you are looking for. My best experience was when I went in for some greenery to liven up my apartment. I knew I wanted big and leafy but other than that, I was a clueless planting n00b. Michelle was really great helping me find and price out exactly what I was looking for. She took it a step further with great advice on potting, soils, fertilizer and general care for my selections. A+ to her. read more

My family and I wanted to talk to one of their specialists who specialized in the carpet department. Everything seemed fine till we go there and there was no one at the desk which seemed normal, they might've been at the bathroom or were helping someone else. So we waited around 10 minutes for this employee. With no results we then asked around nearby employees which said they would be calling them on their way. After another ten minutes passed we asked again and this time they actually patched a message for the specialist to come. After waiting an excruciating 20 minutes we finally decided to ask one more time and they said that they didn't know where they were. 1/10 terrible customer service. But they do got some nice flowers though. We just left after probably will end up giving them more money. But hey I mean they're a big chain so what's one little complaint gonna do? read more

Rudest staff ever out of all the Home Depot's I've been too. No one knew anything or would just ignore your question.

I have never written a review on yelp before and am not typically a complainer, but this place warrants the worst ratings possible. This particular Home Depot is the closest one to my house so I have had the unfortunate pleasure of coming here several times over the last few years. I'm sure that some of the employees are fine or even stellar, but the many staff members I have encountered have been either extremely rude, disinterested, or incapable of doing their job. Tried to get some boards cut last year, had to wait 30 minutes because out of the many employees on shift only one guy had the training to run the saw and he was nowhere to be found. Even the assistant manager couldn't help me. When the saw guy finally did arrive, he couldn't care less that we had been waiting and chatted with one of the other employees for another 5 minutes then couldn't answer any questions I had. The tool rental guy is super rude and acts like it's the biggest inconvenience ever to do his job. Had a sprained ankle and hobbled in to get a few things from the garden department, could the two employees with no other customers around check me out at the customer service desk so I don't have to limp all the way down to the registers? Nope. Hire some better people Home Depot. Train them and get rid of the ones who give your store a bad name. read more

I can't speak to how they'd treat you if you were in the actual store but do NOT try to call this place to ask them any questions of any type. I was looking to find out if they had something in stock. Called and spent 5 minutes on hold before I talked to anybody. Wrong department. Transferred to a 2nd department, they didn't know either so back on hold for another 5 minutes. 3rd department didn't know either and transferred me AGAIN. Another 10 minutes on hold to get a cashier who said, "I dunno man, that's not my job" and hung up on me. Called back again, spent 8 minutes on hold before talking to someone who then hung up on me AGAIN when she was attempting to transfer my call to someone else. Long story short, either drive in or check online. Do NOT call this store for information. They don't care about their phones ringing forever, and nobody wants to help you at all. Way understaffed! I was here on tax free weekend, so that may have been part of the problem. But even though the store actually wasn't that full of customers, it was like pulling teeth to get help with anything. There weren't prices or any information at all on half the washing machines and dryers, which made it really difficult to shop around. After waiting 20 minutes for someone to help us (since they only had 2 or 3 employees in the whole appliances section), we finally flagged down an employee, and she just looked up the Home Depot website on Google to find the prices and information. What?! I was tempted to go around with my iPhone, a pen, and post-it notes and put the prices and capacities on all the washers and dryers myself. There's no excuse for a store to not even label its inventory. Don't come here unless you're trying to make a career as a detective! read more

Terrible experience w/buy online - pickup in store. Store associate didn't give one item (of a $1000 order) to my contractor. I told them this and asked for a credit back and they are telling me that I got the item. I'm thinking I'm out $100 for the item and I'm really glad it wasn't for something more. I've spent an hour each time trying to talk w/online customer service and nobody seems to answer the phone at the store - if so, I'm on hold for an hour. Five shining stars for Nino in the garden center! I hadn't repotted my plants in five years, and he walked me through everything with patience and kindness. He also helped me choose a new plant for my office, and everyone keeps commenting on how beautiful it is. He is extremely knowledgable, and his love for gardening and plants is so infectious that I ended up buying another one for my home, too! There are several plant stores that are closer to my home, but I will keep coming back to HD to see Nino for all of my future plant purchases and needs. Thanks again, Nino! read more

Do not use Home Depot for carpet installation. My experience was a nightmare. What Home Depot does not tell you when you place your order is that the installation is not done by Home Depot. Home Depot outsources the installation to American Carpet South (ACS) who outsources the actual carpet installation to ????. I don't know for what company the people who showed up at my building work for. When I asked ACS who they were, the only thing I was told was that they did not work for ACS. I will skip the details around the HD guy not taking the correct measurements, not being able to get him back to my building as the lockdown started, the wrong carpet color entered in the HD order system and my spending over an hour on the phone to get it fixed to the bigger issue: the delivery of the wrong carpet a week prior to my move. We were supposed to move to our new apartment in April but due to the lockdown, we had to delay as the building did not allow any moves. When restrictions were lifted, we had to move asap as our lease was expiring. We still wanted to try and have the carpet in before moving the furniture. As soon as we got the green light from the building manager, I called the number Home Depot had given me. This is when I learned that Home Depot was not doing the actual installation but was contracting ACS. I was a bit taken aback that it had not been mentioned before but I scheduled the appointment, which was exactly a week before our move. On that day, 2 guys showed up in a white unmarked van. There was no "ACS" sign on the van and they were not wearing anything clothing referring to ACS either. Again, I was a bit surprised that this hadn't been mentioned when I made the appoint. Before getting the carpet out of the back of the van, one of the guys asked us to confirm it was the right carpet and it was not. It was the carpet style we ordered but in the wrong color. I was deflated. With all the hoops that we had to go through to get here, they had ordered the wrong carpet. I showed the guy my invoice and pointed out the color. It was very difficult to have a conversation as they spoke little English. As we were not getting anywhere, I called ACS. The rep explained to me it that though the color I had ordered was stated on the order, the wrong color had been delivered by Home Depot and therefore ACS was not responsible. In the meantime, the 2 guys kept trying to leave. They became quite defensive when I asked if they could stay until I had a resolution with ACS. They simply did not care. They realized that most likely they were not going to do this job and wanted to move on. They took advantage that I was still on the phone with ACS, and simply took off. ACS explained to me that even if Home Deport ordered the right carpet, it would not arrive before my move-in date. The Home Deport rep that ACS had gotten on the call, offered me $100 off from Home Depot for the inconvenience!!! I was utterly floored by the "do not care attitude" of both reps. The issue was that I had no choice. We wanted the carpet in before we moved and decided to accept the carpet with the wrong color. I thought that ACS would do everything they could to get the installation done before my move but I was mistaken. As ACS did not feel responsible for the error, they did not want change their schedule. I was given an appointment after my move date. So again, I had no choice but to push it to a week. I thought this would be the end of this nightmare but it just kept on coming. A week later, another unmarked van showed with 2 guys and a woman. I was told that she was their supervisor and was there to help with communication. The carpet was installed and before they left, I inspected the guest room which looked great but, in the master, the carpet had blue stains pretty much all over. The woman said that she too had noticed. She apologized as they should not have installed the carpet with the stains. Once again, I called ACS to report the issue. I was told that someone from Home Depot would call me and of course nobody did. And so, started the run around. I would call ACS and they would tell me Home Depot would deal with the issue. I would call Home Depot in Everett and could not reach anybody. I would call the Home Depot 1-800 and would be told they would contact Home Depot in Everett. This lasted almost a month. I wrote emails and spent hours on the phone. The only reason I got satisfaction is because I kept asking for a resolution. If I had waited for them to resolve the situation, I would still be waiting. For a company that prides itself in customer satisfaction, it really falls short. I felt taken advantage of. When I placed the order, Home Depot charged the entire amount. It looks like once they have the money, they don't care if the customer is happy. I was left dealing with the mess they had created. I don't think it should have been my responsibility. I also would have like more transparency on the outsourcing process. read more

On January 4, 2018, w/out seawall we faced a winter hurricane with seawater and ice floes. I bailed and saved the furnace, my mum assisted by neighbor and his friend saved her car. Our washer/dryer were old and gone as well as old/back up fridge. My mum went to this Home Depot to price new machines--she wanted something simple and affordable and her salesperson Lynn was excellent looking up options. She returned and worked with an appliance specialist (forget his name but we actually emailed in b/c he was so great). He set up the HD credit card, ordered the kits and set the delivery. Delivery was by a contractor/RAS who were timely, polite and efficient. Overall a good experience--so far. read more

Bought a whirlpool washer in May 2015 and we've had to have repair service people come 4 times now! Replaced a lock and some other part, tried having me do a cleaning of the tub... One of the appointments I was told I had to wait 5 weeks because they needed more than one guy there but only 1 came ! I've been without a working washer for over 2 months now and this is a new washer! It fills but doesn't agitate or spin. Clothes left wet. They're coming back again next week now I want a new washer - this one is obviously a lemon! I'm glad I got the extended warranty but I should not have to suffer this long with no washer when it is new. read more
