If it was possible to issue a negative rating I would. Ms. Dee (an Armed Services Veteran) provides exemplary service. It would be amazing if the other employees would consider her customer support as a basis for professionalism. Perhaps sending folks back to training is needed...I am not sure, but it's very challenging to go into this store. read more

We bought a new refrigerator from Lowes. We knew exactly what we wanted so we found one. Easy sale. At delivery, a three man crew arrived and removed the doors. The forman of the crew let the least experienced person push the refrigerator into the space. Then the nightmare begins. He broke the water line, so water was leaking. The crew left. After two trips to the store, twenty hours of my husband's work, two days after the delivery, the head of the delivery department. John fixed the two leaks, pushed the refrigerator back where it belongs. Additionally, John helped us put the old refrigerator out to the curb. John apologized for the other delivery team. We discussed how difficult it is to find workers with good work ethic. read more

Ordered a refrigerator on 3/11 with an appliance pick up upon delivery. Finally delivered April 24. Would not take away old refrigerator. Said it was not on the order. Wanted me to wait till April 30 for them to come pick I up. Thankfully a scrapper picked it up. Refused delivery of an upgraded water line I told the sales lady I didn't need. (I was charged for it) and the driver did the return right on his phone. And of course still no refund. Called the store e and was told I had to return it to the store for a refund. Explained what driver did and then was advised those refunds take 2 weeks. Poor performance all over he way around. read more

It was a terrible experience going thru Home Depot for carpet. First I went to the store and picked out carpet I was interested in and got with a store associate to schedule measurement. The store associate could not find carpet I wanted online. Had one problem after another using the computer system. After an hour he told me he will have to talk to his manager. So he took my number and was going to have someone call me about doing my measurements at my house. I never received the call so I scheduled measurement myself online and paid 35 dollars. The guy came out as expected and did the measurement. I tried to give him the information on the carpet I wanted and he said no he could not take it I would have to use the call center. So next I called the call center and again they said they could not find on computer even though I had the display sample right in front of me. I said this is so disappointing, the only reason I scheduled this appointment because I wanted this carpet. Else I would not have paid 35 dollars to have home depot come out. The call center said I would have to talk to store they did not know what to tell me. I told them this was the first time I have ever tried to use Home Depot for any major project and how disappointed I have been in them. All she said was I am just call center you need to talk to store. So I went to store and even though carpet was hanging in their display samples they could not find on computer. Again I WOULD HAVE NEVER spent 35 dollars for measurements if I would have known this. So I needed carpet so I picked out something else. After about another hours FINALLY I got a quote. I thought it was over priced compared to Lowes but the deal breaker was they said they would have to check linoleum on floor for asbestos. And if found they would have to charge me to remove for which there was not quote. I have had carpet layed many of times over my existing linoleum without any issues. The most recent was just 1 year ago. Home Depot should tell people this up front and a quote should be given at the time of measurement what it would cost to remove if needed. The way you did the quote was an open. You could charge me whatever you want. I feel like HOME DEPOT should refund my $35 dollars which I doubt I will ever see. I will NOT be using Home Depot in the future for any of my projects. read more

This store has gone down to complete chaos. This store thrives on the hard labor of majority high school graduates and college students, with low inadequate wages in comparison to their competitor across the street because they are young people. Despite the struggle to provide good quality customer service, some if not most of the young workers are poorly trained and eventually are self-taught. The management is disappointing and it's truly sad to witness how poorly management treats their workers due to favoritism and carelessness to listen to their workers whenever they have a problem. There's a couple that are okay, but the rest is despicable from a professional point of view. To have more money in their pockets, they tend to unnecessarily fire more workers than to hire more workers but still have the propensity to hire college students or high school graduates; consistently ignores the concerns of the lives of the workers and attempts to mess up their scheduling by forcing hours they can't work or drastically cutting hours; and by paying them low wages. The cleanliness of the building from either overnight or during business hours should be considered a consistent safety hazard as soon as you walk in the doors. Once again the management does not seem to listen to their workers' needs to keep up with cleanliness and performance improvement and are not awarded for their hard work. But let it be any corporate manager roaming the store, the whole store suddenly looks better than the one in Miamisburg. If you are to ever shop here and you see a young worker, understand that despite how they perform, all poor performances reflect on how their managers treat them and establishing their store to represent a company. read more

Went in Home Depot this morning at 10:30 am. He store was very empty. We visit here often since it's very close to our house. We went through self check out today. We had a 50 pound bag of soil we couldn't get to scan. We look around the cashier is standing looking at a magazine. The gentleman next to us is asking for assistance as well for a toilet in a box that will not scan either. She cops an attitude as if we are bothering her. Home Depot needs to get these employees in check. So many times I have received poor Customer Service in this store these days. I have decided to spend my money at Lowe's instead. read more

I have an issue with Home Depot's choice of delivery company; Estes Express. They promised delivery between 9 and noon today. I did not recieve a call until 12:45 that they were "running late" and would not arrive until 2p.m. Absolutely no apology or other compensation for our inconvenience was offered. I'll see if they make it by 2. When people often have to take time off of work to receive delivery- this is unacceptable. Home depot needs a more reliable delivery company- especially for customers who order more than a thousand dollars worth of products. read more

THIS STORE IS BEYOND TERRIBLE!!! I have been screwed over by them multiple times before but this time takes the proverbial cake. I spent an hour in the store setting up a delivery for the next day WHICH I WAS ASSURED WAS HAPPENING, I was very specific as the order was for a job I needed to finish in the next two days. I even went with an associate to show him the bundle of lumber I wanted. Again I was very specific about what i needed and I didn't leave until I was assured everything would be fine and I would have my lumber the next morning. Of course the next morning my lumber never arrives, instead I get a call from a lady who can barely speak English who tells me that my delivery has been cancelled and fails to give me any conceivable reason why...After futilely trying to resolve the situation (it was like talking to Superman's maid from Family Guy) I end up saying "NO NO NO CANCEL MY ORDER! CANCEL MY ORDER!" as clearly as I can. I go check my bank and the charge was still pending so I imagined it would expire without clearing or it would be cancelled. Then I lose hours of productivity securing lumber from Requarth in Dayton ( who, by the way, delivered a stunning 2 hours later, thanks guys you're awesome). Thinking the situation was over I put their atrocious customer service out of my mind and got back to work, then the next day I'm checking my bank account and I find they still charged me! for materials that never left the store! and for a delivery that they couldn't pull off. So I go into the store and ask to speak to a manager, I explain the situation to him and ask him what he is going to do about it. I tell him I need that money for other materials for the same job. He tells me that its not the stores fault its my financial institution, and that I need to contact them and that he CANT do anything. Even if thats true, There are any number of ways they could have tried to make this situation right, but they didnt even try, the manager just stared like he didnt want to deal with me. I totally got the message "WE DONT CARE ABOUT ALL THE PROBLEMS WE CAUSED- YOU ARE INSIGNIFICANT." Like I said before this isn't the first time this store has screwed me, it's not even the first time they messed up a delivery! I never buy at home Depot, always at Lowes, customer service at Lowes is great. customer service at Home Depot is a "bad memory"; Today I bought a fence at lowe's and they run out of it, and i needed more, so I made an exception and called Home Depot and talked to store manager Ms. Julie to see if she will match Lowes price, she said yes, and asked me to bring the papers with me, so I drove 15 minutes to the store, and when i came to contractor desk, 2 nasty characters occupied that desk, (nasty in appearance and nasty in attitude) one of these characters also lied about his name, both already knew why i came, but refused to honor the price match, and said Julie is not available, I knew they are lying because i just talked to her on the phone, so i went to customer service desk on the other side of the store to ask for Julie, and the nasty character from the first desk already notified them that I came for Julie, eventually Julie came, but she refused to honor the price match, saying she asked me to bring the papers just because i insisted.... which is false, all I did is asked if she can match it, and she made me drive 15 minutes just to send me back 15 minutes without doing anything. the thing is that this is not unique for this specific location of Home depot, this is the mentality of home depot that trickle down from corporate office in "Atlanta, GA...." (look it up...) and if i had to guess the motto of Home depot, based on my past experience, I would say it is "Home Depot, Be nasty, Period." now be careful where you read your reviews, such as homedepo.com where they erase bad reviews and encourage false good reviews, most likely written by hired help. read more
