I'd avoid this location for at least the next couple of months. They've been working on their parking lot for about the last 6 plus months (not really sure how long, but it's been a while. Now, they've completely torn up their main lot and there are less than 50 spaces (total) available. It's a mess and when I was there earlier today, it took me almost 40 minutes just to get into the lot and find parking. Had I not had to go, I wouldn't have. So far, we had a big hiccup in our project time frame because of an error by Home Depot: THEY PUT A 40.5 x x12 Window Install request in my order which not only caused a lot of confusion but additional work and delays. They agreed to make the change with "No Additional Charge," except for the extra cost in wood to accommodate the change. I went into the store around 8:30AM/8:45AM and didn't leave there til 11:15AM. After all that time, they agreed to cover the wood as well for the mod. I'll update this post install. Right now, I don't feel good. So, the next update will include their full "EXPERT INSTALLATION," review. Stress like this helps me understand why the low score of this location is where it's at (currently 2 stars). read more

I'm unable to comment on the service or products at this The Home Depot location because I never made it inside. The parking lot was extremely difficult to navigate, and finding an open parking space proved impossible. Majority of the parking lot was closed off due to construction, leaving what appeared to be only about 50 parking spaces for the entire store. I visited around 1 p.m. on a Monday and circled the lot three times trying to find parking. Several other drivers were doing the same, and many eventually left after being unable to locate an open space. After my third attempt, I ended up leaving, aggravated and annoyed. read more

This is my preferred Home Depot from San Francisco. The Daly City location is technically closer but the parking situation is by a mall and is two-stories which just makes it more difficult to navigate if you need to go up. The San Francisco Lowe's neighborhood is not so desirable and parking lot feels grimey. This Home Depot has easy parking - although they just razed their parking garage to the ground? It's also on a cliff - check out the crazy structural engineering as you drive up to it. It's your standard Home Depot. Check out the Home Depot app which is handy in showing inventory and the aisle/location of your item. Customer service has been nice in helping me pull down items from the top or unlock locked items, but sometimes it is hard to find someone or takes a while for someone to come unlock stuff. read more

If I could I would leave 0 stars because of the customer service experience and it's a huge disappointment since I always come here to shop when I need tools and lumbar. Arrived at this location around 1815 hrs to obtain some plywood then proceed to get it cut at their cutting station. Have an associate by the exit door self checkout help call for the lumbar associate notifying that we and another customer were waiting to have our lumbar cut at 1819 hrs. Waited for about 10 minutes, no associate showed up. We went to ask a different associate to call (1829 hrs by the way) , waited another 10 minutes. Still no associate. Finally went to ask another associate to call for the manage on duty (1839 hrs) to talk with them about how there was no lumber associate after two pages over the PA system helping not only us but another customer has been waiting for over 20 minutes at their cutting center to have our lumber cut, only to have them tell us that... 1) tell us that the associate is on break and won't be back until 7pm 2) told us that the ONLY OTHER lumber associate called out. 3) told us to go across the street to their other location to get lumber and have it cut there. 1856 hrs - Us and the other customers decided to wait for the lumber associate to show up to cut our lumber since we just wanted to get it cut and done with instead of coming back. Had overheard on the PA for another associate calling THE ONLY lumber associate to self-checkout for assistance and to pick up their returns. What about us who are waiting in their section by their cutting saw? Now I understand that yes the employee is on their break AND that the only other associate could help called out sick. But shouldn't there be at least ONE MANAGER who can help cut?? Or provide each department with a sign saying sorry we'll be back in 1 hour or have at least another trained associate should this happen (which probably has highly happened before) to prevent this from happening? Around 1900 hrs - an associate wearing a black and white cap was walking around the lumber section and started to pick up loose pieces of wood lying around the cutting saws and then placed the "Out of Order" sign up on the machine. This associate even made 1) eye contact with us customers that were standing around waiting. 2) Didn't even bother to stop and ask if we needed assistance when we clearly had lumber pieces to be cut in our carts. 3) Just ignored us then walked away to continue cleaning. Went to go chase the associate and ask him if he was working this department when he replied yes. We asked him, can we get our lumber cut. And this was his response, "No I can't. The machine is closed for the day." When we asked why not, his response "I'm the only one here because the other guy called out." This is NOT AN EXCUSE! When asked to bring us a manager/supervisor, he replied "Okay I will go and get one". But what did he do instead? He walked to the back of the store and went into HIDING! So we decided to go grab a manager/supervisor from the front to handle this. We manage to grab the special services supervisor at the time (who thankfully was listening to what was happening every time we approached the customer service counter so she kind of knew the situation) and she had someone page for the lumber associate to go back to the cutting saw station so she can meet him there. When we got back to the cutting saw, he was nowhere to be found! She then told us to wait right here while she goes to find him or someone else to help cut our lumber. She comes back with I'm assuming another supervisor/manager/shift lead from a different section and he ends up punching in the code to get the cutting saw airbag collector started and helping us and not even a second later, the lumber associate shows up. read more

They misled me about delivery and ruined my plans. I placed an order online (Order #WJ87805162) because the website clearly stated it would be delivered today, July 12. That was the only reason I chose to buy from Home Depot -- I urgently needed the item today. However, after placing the order, I received confirmation showing delivery would only happen on Monday, July 14. This completely ruined my plans and wasted my time. When I contacted customer service to cancel, they told me the order was already shipped and couldn't be canceled -- even though the delivery date was later than promised. This evening I had an unpleasant experience at the Home Depot in Colma. After completing a self-checkout transaction right in front of the clerk stationed there , I made a point to thank him as I finished. To my surprise, he stopped me as I was leaving and asked if I had paid, then demanded to see my receipt. I had purchased 4 items one flexible steel cable and three reflective number stickers all which were in my hand. He looked at my receipt for a few minutes before he said it was ok to go. Let me bring to your attention that there was only one other person in the self checkout line who finished before I even started. This was all just a scene he created since he had clearly watched me scan and pay for my items standing right next to me. I understand the importance of loss prevention, but this felt unnecessary and even disrespectful, especially since my transaction was in plain view. The retail theft issue is not going to be solved targeting honest, paying ,customers. Home Depot needs to ensure their employees are trained to approach customers with courtesy and awareness. Experiences like this leave a bad impression and make loyal customers feel unwelcome. Furthermore, I visited this same Home Depot a few days prior, made a much bigger purchase at the self check out in front of a different clerk. The store remains the most awful place to shop. I came in to get a drill. They took it and some drivers up to the front and locked it in the same box. I came to purchase the drill and they had lost half the stuff with it now nobody says they can help me because they don't know what it was, I am currently waiting for the store manager because I can't wait. I can't wait for him to see him. Updated to say, the manager came up and could not believe the debacle. He also read my last review regarding other items that had disappeared when they were put in the lock box. Last time I was at the store he did give us $100 off the drill and drivers , but this store is operated by people that do not want to work and do not give a crap about this business. I haven't written a review in awhile but I always write in my most honest opinion and I have to say ROGER, light skin guy with a clean haircut, lol, guided me with the materials I needed. He was very professional and knowledgeable with my never ending questions. I needed plywood and some sticking vinyls for a project and a few other things and I stumbled in his electrical aisle, I was so loss and seemed like no one wanted to help me but Roger asked if I needed help and he guided me through everything on my list. I thought it was going to be a difficult day for me but Roger made it easier. He went beyond and made sure I got everything on my list, educated me on each item and what they're used for and how to use it, walked with me to the aisle and location of the item and assisted me making sure it was the appropriate and correct one. I felt relieved that someone was there to actually talk to the customer to see if they needed anything because I would have been just walking back and forth and probably picked up the wrong item, so thank you Roger! I purchased a garbage disposal in store by paying the contractor who did the installation using my credit card. Could not return the garbage disposal within 90 days. There are two problems: 1. Day 1 the contractor showed me it was working. But later I found the reset button does not have any effect. But the contractor has not answered my phone any more. He just ran away. 2. I finally managed to find somebody to remove the garbage disposal within 90 days the return deadline. But the store staff said the inside is rusty. So they can not take it. That is definitely a manufacturer problem. How could a stainless steel part get rusty so fast? Now it is about 60 days after purchase only! Moen has 10 years warranty but I was thinking 90 days return so I did not check with Moen. Also you cannot find the rusty thing without taking it off. A garbage disposal is not like other things. I cannot return it without removal. And it is hard to remove. Don't think the store would care. but I just share this sad story. It used to be my go-to store. read more

Lesson learned and I've had nothing but great experiences for these large purchases from Costco instead of Home Depot. I have to honestly say my experience at Home Depot has been no less than a royal mess up. First, I needed a vacuum since I'm remodeling my home so in November I ordered the Ovente 3 stage vacuum. In a separate order in November I ordered extra bags. Got two different emails saying I could pick both so I go to a very crowded Home Depot and wait in a very long pick up line for about 40 minutes only to find out that they lost my order! They said they don't know where it is and said maybe the truck lost it. I spent a hour on the phone with customer service and they said they would order me another one. Then it turns out they didn't order it ( i called in December to track it down and they said they didn't see a new reorder...ridiculous customer service) and so I waited for nothing...so in December for the second time in a row I placed an online order after customer service not doing their job properly and Home Depot losing my first order! Over Thanksgiving, we were away, and when we returned and started cooking, we discovered that both front burners malfunctioned--they randomly shut off during use. When we contacted Home Depot for a return or replacement, we were shocked to learn their policy: no returns on major appliances. They informed us we had only 48 hours to report defects, which is completely unreasonable! Adding insult to injury, Home Depot directed us to GE's customer service at 877-434-3376, but there were no repair options offered. It felt like a total scam. This experience has been deeply disappointing. What happened to the American standard of quality and customer care? What happens when you put a horribly-designed parking lot in a neighborhood full of people who can barely drive yet insist on backing their massive SUVs into tiny spaces? Apparently, the structure collapses itself under its own weight because it just can't bear the strain of all the idiot landlords. There's pretty much no way to fix that much spalled concrete short of a wrecking ball so I'm guessing they'll be demolishing this store soon and blaming it all on retail theft. I wanted to take a moment and write about an employee experience I had in your store today. I was helped by a gentleman I believe his name is Jun. He works in the area of Aisle 12. I showed him a drawer that my cats believe it or not broke the slider on it when they jumped inside to play in the drawer and the two of them together weigh 31 pounds and bent it. I thought I could just replace it but Jun thought he could fix it. So he took a few minutes and was able to straighten it back up saving me so much extra time and work. I really didn't know what I was doing. So very thoughtful of him. I'm already a loyal customer but this is just beyond normal customer service. I'm so thankful to him. I'm very disappointed and frustrated with Home Depot today after an aborted delivery attempt two nights ago and no call back yesterday. I finally got through last night after three disconnected calls.. I'll wait to see if they fix the situation tomorrow before I write my rant. UPDATE: Zeke called me today and was very apologetic about my bad experience with driver Josue. I was finally told by the store to go ahead and order another stove because Richie Trucking had sent this one back. The driver didn't know that the size listed on the box included packing materials. We are redoing a kitchen and just want to replace the cabinets with something a little more updated. We have sizes, etc. of all the cabinets we need, but we wanted to purchase custom cabinets, so we don't have to paint them ourselves and get some nice colors. This was a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME at Home Depot!! I walked into the store to get a quote and they scheduled me with an online appointment, which I put on my busy calendar. When I logged on to the "meeting" to get a quote, they wanted me to pay them $150 bucks to design my kitchen. We already have a design and we explained that (in store and in the "meeting"). It has been nearly 3 months since I placed my order of a new washer and dryer, yet the significant delay in installing the equipment has been a result of the disorganization and miscommunication of Home Depot employees. I just spoke with a supervisor from Home Depot's customer service line regarding the issues with my two orders. She escalated my case to the Senior Leadership Team and gave me a ticket regarding my request to return all items and receive a full refund, as the inability to have my equipment installed has been due to multiple errors made by Home Depot and Temco Logistics. OVERVIEW OF PROBLEM: 10/02/2021 - DELIVERY OF WASHER/DRYER Home Depot delivered the washer and dryer but stated they could not install the equipment as we did not have a stacking rack. The delivery personnel showed us which stacking rack to purchase on Home Depot's website and stated that they will leave the washer and dryer in my mother's unit (due to limited space in my unit) as taking back the equipment will prolong the delivery time. They informed us that they will notify the delivery team that the washer and dryer were left in my mother's unit and that after we receive the stacking rack, installers can arrive within 5-7 business days from the installation request. 10/19/2021 - RECEIVED THE STACKING RACK 11/02/2021 - INSTALLATION APPT The installation date was made for 11/02/2021. However, we did not receive any call regarding the installation and no one arrived. I called Home Depot's delivery and installation service and spoke with a supervisor who stated that any delivery or installation appointments made either in the store or from Home Depot online do not get routed to their delivery and installation department. The supervisor stated that they had been requesting for Home Depot to stop making delivery and installation appointments for in-store customers or those who made online purchases as the appointment request remains in the queue. The supervisor said that the only way to ensure that a delivery and installation appointment is made is by calling them directly. Why is Home Depot allowing customers to make delivery and installation appointments either in the store or online when Home Depot's delivery and installation department does not receive the appointment requests? THIS ADDRESSES THE FIRST ISSUE with Home Depot's Delivery and Installation service, which is their lack of a unified electronic system where all delivery and installation appointments are accessible to view and edit by employees, regardless of whether the customer made the appointment in the store, online, or with Home Depot's delivery and installation line. A confirmation email with the appointment date and time, along with any notes for the delivery personnel, should then be sent to customers for record-keeping. 11/10/2021 - NEW INSTALLATION APPT When I called Home Depot again to make an installation appointment after receiving the stacking rack, I informed them that the washer/dryer was in my mother's unit, which needed to be brought down to my unit, and that my existing washer and dryer that are broken needed to be discarded (we paid a disposal fee in advance to have our existing washer and dryer discarded). They stated they were aware and would inform the delivery/installation personnel. However, when the installers arrived on 11/10/2021, they had no idea that the new washer and dryer were in my mother's unit. They stated they could not proceed until they received approval from their manager as the order was made for my unit. They were also not aware that we had an existing washer and dryer that needed to be discarded. I waited an hour for them to confirm whether they can proceed with the installation. THIS ADDRESSES THE SECOND ISSUE with Home Depot's service, which is the lack of communication within their own Delivery & Installation team. I then received a voicemail from a receptionist named "Rosalia" from Temco Logistics (3rd party affiliate of Home Depot) who stated that my washer and dryer could not be installed because the stacking rack was already in our possession. She stated that the stacking rack must come directly from Home Depot's warehouse, and be picked up by delivery personnel who would install it all together. I ordered online for drywalls and there is an option by paying extra to have them delivered and moved into the house. When the delivery driver came they just left the items at the curb in front of the house even though I was there. The delivery driver told me that they make mistakes like that often and that a different delivery crew will deliver and move things into the house. I spoke with the customer service rep and they were unable to schedule people to move the merchandise into the house. When speaking with a customer service rep, they wanted me to return over 1000 lbs of drywall to the store to refund me. So if I reorder online they will redeliver it and move it into the house which is not a guarantee since they have made that mistake already. They just refunded me the delivery fee and left me with the merchandise to move on my own. read more

I would give minus 5 stars if it was possible. I was looking to buy a engine oil filter for car. I found one at $12.86 and saved it in the cart, without checking out and paying. I was checking out few days later and was shocked to see the tripled the price to over $36. I contacted the customer service and after few texts exchanges they said nothing they can do, as they don't have a way to verify the price for few days back. Nobody wants to work here. I'm trying to get hardwood floors installed for my house in San Francisco. The wood I want to use is by Millstead. This requires Home Depot to special order the wood. The flooring associate told me to call Millstead instead. I told her I'm placing the order with Home Depot because I want them to install. It's her job to call the distributor, not the customer. The girl was completely lost in her job responsibilities. Then I asked to be transferred to a store manager since she doesn't know how to do her job. My goodness, nobody answers the phone there. I've called SEVERAL times. I understand now why they have poor reviews. read more
