Mixed feels on the vibes here. It is tough to find a clerk if you randomly roam. Once you figure out the system, you'll be just fine. But it really should not be so complex, truly. Head to the customer service counter and hope for the best. As far as inventory, this place stays well stocked. That's probably part of the reason that this store stays busy. There's a pretty big garden section in the back! Good prices on bulk items too. You'll just have to expect a low frills service. They have self checkout lines on case the register lines get too long. They usually have what I need and there's usually someone willing to help schlep things over to your car.

I always come here for gardening tools and plants. They offer a great selection at reasonable prices. There's parking always available and the shop carry's a variety of items. This Home Depot location is rather large compare to the other ones. Most of them carry the same bonsai trees, money trees , orchids and lots of flowers. I also saw they had nice tiles so I'm definitely going to come back to check out those. Also I agree with the reviews it was difficult to find people around the store but we just kind of wondered around it would be nice to have an expert that knows about gardening more available.

Gun Hill Road location, no shopping carts lined up.

Yesterday evening I went to this location, upon entering a man entered behind us and he was saying out loud NASTY,NASTY, NASTY. I could not understand why at that moment but: No carts were available, and no wipes were available to wipe down one if you could find one. And the store wasn't even that crowded so there should've been carts available. There was garbage strewn about the parking area, ALL over the place. The lighting seem to be dimmer and than other Home Depot stores that I have visited. I refuse to spend my hard earned money in a store with these conditions. So I left and drove to the New Rochelle location, where I instantly found a cart upon walking into the store. Wipes were available to wipe down the cart and garbage was not strewn all around the parking area. The lighting in the store was much better. I had to wait in line for a while since the store was kind of packed but it was worth it. Steer clear of the Gun Hill Rd HD location. Save yourself the disappointment and just go to New Rochelle- it was a pleasure to shop there.

2nd time coming to this location of home depot on gun hill road in the BX. Staff's was very helpful. The lines was little long due to cash register limited access. They are also hiring for those who are looking for a job!

I went to the home depot to make a copy of a key, the person who makes me the key was professional and kind

I went to this location to buy pocket door frame sets. Seems like not a lot of people working here but I was digging and found someone to help me. I thought it gonna be very bad like another reviews maybe because I went during the day.

You can get what you need when you need it.../we finally found a sales person who actually values what they do. This guy understands that everything you do today will pay off tomorrow and that no one forgets a person who goes the extra mile. His name is Emmanuel, he's great and I hope he doesn't transform into a grumpy sour patch like the rest of the folks who work there.

Delivery man left items in the lobby of a residential building without successfully contacting me. Ultimately the items were stolen. Went to the site and had one of the worst experience ever. The associate was rude and did not want to find a solution for their admitted mistake. After disputing with the associate my funds was refunded without the $35 delivery fee just go to the New Rochelle location! Thank you Nedayah from corporate for attempting to find a resolution. I appreciate it.

I am basing this review on my interaction with Chase at the paint center. Nadine and some of the other uniformed employees in the paint dept would not give me the time of day. I tried to get Nadine's attention by calling her name--so did Chase--but she was too busy chatting with coworkers. This was my first time being helped by Chase, and he was very attentive and informative, helping me to color match a piece of furniture that I brought in, going through the paint samples when it was too large to be scanned. He also assisted me in selecting the closest finish. The best experience I had at this Home Depot in over 15 years of shopping here.

Do they have Christmas trees here?

Yes, they do. They mostly have small trees but I think they can make custom orders for large trees.

Most of the staff is knowledgeable and answered most of my questions. It is Larchmont so the prices will vary but it seems justifiable seeing how much work goes into the plants here. The boss lady here seems pretty old school very on top of her employees, i was able to talk to her for a while and man can that lady talk. Very hard working woman, knowledgeable and a little feisty. Overall it's a great place. You can even just go for a stroll, plus it's wheel chair accessible. Whatever you need it seems like this place has it i'm definitely going to stop by here more often.

We visited NYBG for the Yayoi Kusama exhibition, and they had a section of the store specifically for Kusama items. They had a great Kusama book collection, along with other limited edition / moderately priced souvenirs. I wish they had a little more selection with the Kusama swag, but I was happy to get some polka dot socks and t shirt. I'm not normally buying plants or plant-related products because the only success I've had in my apartment is one type of succulent (the Hobbit Jade Plant) that seems to thrive no matter what. That being said, I wanted to combine two separate plants into one pot on my window sill and needed the soil and a rectangular planter. Note - The only rectangular planters I saw were plastic, the soil was pricy compared to Home Depot, and an additional Hobbit Jade Plant was pricier there than what I've seen elsewhere. That being said, there may be other items competitive in price or not available elsewhere... plus (at least for me) it's convenient. Plus, it sells items like soil in smaller quantities, which may be convenient for people with small apartments.
