Disappointed with the customer service. Went to purchase some equipment for my home and kept getting passed around from one sales representative to the next. Doesn't seem like a lot of the workers knew who to direct me to. Wasted good time figured out someone who could help me. Wasn't also too fond of the tone of voice some workers had when I was asking questions; almost seemed as if they were irritated I even asked for help. I checked online first to get a Freeze Miser valve to keeping outdoor water pipes from freezing. The online site stated 44 items were available in location Aisle 29, Bay 001. So I went to the location and it was all shower heads and completely wrong for what I needed. The plumbing station guy was trying to be helpful but said he said the item doesn't exist in the store anywhere. So I went to the customer service station and this girl with an attitude was not helpful at all. I asked about ordering and delivery and delivery is only to the store, not to my residence, "delivery" is to the store, online bait and switch. I will never go back to this Home Depot ever. Asked them about heat pump replacement they sent a company gave me a proposal to replace it with a 14 seer Goodman heat pump with electric furnace for $13,000 I priced the unit if I were to buy it online it would cost me about $5,000 there's no way that it would cost $8,000 to install it. I had a terrible experience with a HVAC installation. The installers came out to do the installation in July, and did not complete my installation. They told me that they would be back to complete it and did not come back. After three weeks I called, but only got recordings. I went to the Home Depot on Bobby Jones where I purchased the over priced installation for over 12,000.00 dollars, they got me in touch with an installation supervisor who made an appointment with me and no one showed up. They stood me up on two different appointments. They came to my house six times over four months before my system was working. I talked to Home Depot home office several times in which they never followed up with me. I would call them and had to do a new report every time. They still haven't followed up to find out if my job was satisfactory completed, in which it wasn't. They told me that they would follow up with me, and never did. Wayne from piping did a phenomenal job assisting me today. I went to Lowe's this morning and did not get the things that I needed or any help. I decided to come to Home Depot and not only did I find all the supplies that I needed but this incredible gentleman help me from start to finish and completely understood my vision for industrial shelves. He went out of his way to take time, considering my desires, and making them happen from start to finish. He help me find everything I needed, as well as cut my material and re-threaded some pipe to fit. It also doesn't hurt that he was great at making me laugh. In a world where most employees are just skirting by to make hourly, Wayne was a complete breath of fresh air, and a reminder that they are still great men out there that want to help and provide their skills with pride. read more

I was able to order the night before and pick up the next morning (today). They are very organized and staff is wearing masks. I recommend heading over here. This review is mainly for the garden center. I came in on two different occassions to get succulents, in the form of Aloe plants. I thought all the plants were located outside, but staff were quick to point out that what they had in the form of indoor plants were in their green house. Funny, because I didn't even realized that i'd walked through a green house, but sure enough, the green house connects the main store with the outdoor area where the outdoor plants are, and you know this because there's a sharp temperature change when you step from the green house room to the outdoor area. This home depot has a very nice variety of all sorts of plants and they even have painted plants, which look like neon spray painted things. Customer service is visible, but are pretty much hands off. I was able to find exactly what I wanted the two times I visited this location, so I can't speak on how knowledgeable staff are here since I didn't bother them. Bottom line, quick, enjoyable experience where I was in and out in under 5 minutes both times. Clean, well stocked store that had everything I needed. I'm a fan! read more

Terrible service! I went in on Nov11 to purchase a grill. They did not have one in a box so they said they sell me the one off the floor. It was very dirty. The associate told me that it would be wiped off so that we would not have to put the dirty grill in our car. I was waiting for it to be wiped off and Melissa, an associate, just stood there. finally she handed me the wipes to clean it. Now, for $619, I thought they could have wiped it off, not me. If I had not needed it I would have driven away and ordered it from Lowes. By the time I got it clean 3 other associates were gathered around me as I cleaned it. None of them offered to help. I love walking amongst the flowers. Any plants I have ever bought here always flourish. They take very good care of them. Well watered until they are purchased. The worst customer service to include the management level. This Monday I had some free time after work b4 taking my daughter to practice. Had two simple questions about some flooring. After not seeing anyone in the aisles related to flooring I went to the desk. There was nobody there. I finally find an associate from a different section and she calls for a flooring associate over the intercom. Twenty minutes later I still have had no help nor anyone that walked by in an apron asked me if I needed anything. Finally I had it with them and walked out. After a conversation over the phone with the Gen Mngr expressing my 15 years of loyalty with the Home Depot I had it. I would be returning all the things I bought and leaving the store for good and going to Lowe's. He pleaded with me to come back and he would make it right. I told him I would give him one last chance. And let him know the day and time I would return and was assured he would help me. Flash forward to today, he left for the day. The perfectly wonderful customer service rep Ali I believe was her name, determined to help me, spoke to the next highest manager named Debbie on my behalf. She came back from talking to Debbie, she said she would call a flooring specialist and then Ms. Debbie would see what she could do. After calling someone for me she said to go to the flooring desk he would help me as soon as he was done with his customer. He came towards the desk with his customer, stopped helping her and took a phone call and started helping someone on the phone. In summary, they have the least customer friendly environment and have poor leadership that also has no moral code. Both of these days I was still in uniform. Now I never expect special treatment because that's not why I serve; however, for a company that claims to love the military, they sure didn't seem to care at all. I hope corporate sees my review and takes a good hard look at the terrible job from the top down in this store. With the exception of the customer service folks and the casheirs. Doesn't even deserve a 1. Today I rented a Tracked Skid Steer at 6am. The machine was not only filthy when we picked it up (we were told it would be an extra fine of $200 if we returned it dirty) but the "Rental Equipment Check-Out Form" issued with the rental contract was left blank, the associate oversaw hook-up and walked away claiming the machine was dirty because someone else had checked it in, not him. At 9:30am, we had a concern that we wanted to talk to an associate about regarding the track and our coverage/what to do. After over half an hour of being transferred between customer service (who wouldn't let you speak before transferring the call mid sentence) and equipment rentals (who simply never answered) I gave up and requested a manager. Bret (manager) finally informed me that there was an entirely different number to call, still affiliated with Home Depot, for big equipment rentals. So, we called that number. After over half an hour waiting, we finally got through to a representative, who ended the call before I could get any information. So I called again. This time, they take down the phone number and address and tell us that a technician would call back eventually. 2 hours later, still no call, so I call again. This time, almost an hour on hold with no end in sight, no answers, and a disabled machine still sitting in the middle of a project that remains unfinished. So much for 24 hour rental! I just visited this location to pick up some pvc pipe for a project, and my experience started off terribly. I selected my pipes and then found an associate by the name of Linda and requested that someone help or cut the pipes for me. Her response "We don't cut the pipes here." This was the first time I have heard of a store not cutting the pipes so after some more questions she handed me a pipe cutting tool(which seems like it would be a big no no due to liability issues) and told me to find a table, measure, mark, and use the tool to cut it myself. Well 1) I have no measuring tape 2) I have no marker 3) I have no idea how to safely use this pipe cutting tool that can easily chop my finger off 4) I have no idea where to even find the measuring table to get all this started. So reluctantly off we go to find a table with a measuring instrument. After wondering aimlessly around the store, another employee(Milan was her name I believe) sees us and starts assisting us. She actually takes us back to linda first and when she was also told they don't cut pipes, she not only finds the table for us, but also finds other employees who measure and cut the pipe for us as well! She is the only reason this is not a 1 star review. If we dealt with her only, it would have been a 5 star. She assured us that they do indeed cut the pipes, and that customers are not even supposed to have the pipe clipping tool for any reason. She definitely saved the day! read more

I'm normally found at the Lowes but sometimes it's just easier to get in and out of the nursery department here and especially at 7:00 a.m. They have a lot of the houseplants I'm looking for and their website is more up to date on items they have in stock, especially gardening. They've got some of the nicest people working here in the mornings but it's hit or miss in the afternoons when it picks up and you can be stuck walking the aisles for over 5 minutes like I have a few times. Do Not Order Carpet from HOME DEPOT .... they are great with selling merchandise in store but do a miserable job contracting out services. Below is a quick recount of my experience. Carpet install no show. Advertised 72 hour carpet issue. My experience with home depot flooring was and still is a disaster from the moment I walked in. Not knowing how to proceed, but knowing I wanted to purchase carpet, I approached the flooring agent. He did not look up until I asked for help, I explained I wanted to set up a "home measure". He said I needed to pick out carpet, any carpet, and I could let them know later what I really wanted. He never left his seat to explain anything - only setup measure. The measure went fine, guys were extremely nice and knowledgeable. The next problem was when I went back back in to order. The first agent helped me for about 5 min. until he looked down at his watch and left (It was the end of his shift). I found another agent to help me, he was super nice and we picked out carpet and ordered. When I requested an install date of August 22nd, he proceeded to tell me the installers would call me to set up. That would be fine except they could not give me a date because the carpet had to be ordered. So, I decided to change carpet and go with a "72 hour installed carpet". When the installers called about this carpet, they told me they could not schedule for the 22nd but had the 23rd open. I agreed. They called to confirm on the 22nd. They called to cancel on the 23rd. Meanwhile, down on the farm, my moving company is steaming for my home with a move in set for the 24th and my wife is due to have our baby the first of the month. Bottom line, this is a really poor way to conduct business and I expected more from Home Depot / homedepot.com read more

DO NOT get your flooring installed here. 1. Ordered the 72 hr carpet. Took them over a week to even call for appt. Finally they "squeezed" me in after I went back to store and reminded the manager about the 72 hr installation guarantee. Finally installed 7 days after order. 2. Installation was sloppy and incorrect. Several dirty black boot prints on the new carpet. Scrapes and scuffs on hallway walls and newly painted walls within the room. 3. Paid extra for "new" base board installation. Holes, dent, scuffs and scratches in the boards. Some of which they tried to cover up with filler. 3. Transition strip. The hard wood/carpet transition strips were set aside to be installed by the hardwood floor installer (different company), installers found the strips and attempted to "staple" them to the floor. Needless to say, you can't "staple" wood (staples were bent and sticking out from the hardwood) We had to remove the transition strip and purchase new. 5. Tried calling the installers immediately after they left to inform them about some of the mistakes I found. Called 6 times (no answer) and left 2 messages. Never heard from them again. 6. Went to HD to inform them about the issues with the installation. Manager said she would contact the installers and arrange a reinstall. We have called HD several times for an update but the managers are never there or "cant come to the phone". We went to the store multiple times to find out the status and are consistently told "it is being resolved". It has been over a week since the installation and still no response on resolving the issues. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS STORE read more

I have come back here of late because I needed some paint and the supply store I usually go to is way to busy at their paint department. They have the paint match machine but I must say it does not work all that great, least the one meant for the Glidden paint. (It appears that they have one for glidden and one for the Behr; choose the behr its much better paint)It ended up being a few shades too dark but it was ok considering I needed to paint the entire room anyway. I must comment I didn't know how bad of a paint Glidden is until I used it. I don't blame Home Depot for this I blame the paint. The people were friendly,very helpful, and quick in choosing what finish I needed to choose for the rooms I plan on painting. I also feel their paint tool area is better laid out than their competitor with more options of tools to choose from. read more

I have to live with a broken refrigerator for 2 more months until maytag custom makes a new door for my unit. Complained within 48 hrs the freezer was freezing up, but because I didn't demand a new unit, like I am supposed to know how a refrigerator works and that it is going to break, I am stuck with it, running my power bill up ($30 a month), blocks of frozen ice in ice tray. If it gets fixed in 2 months I will have been dealing with this useless appliance purchase for half a year. When, if I ordered the same unit today it would be delivered in 4 days. I have bought 5 appliances from home depot with no issue's, but now that I have an issue, their ( Debbie assit store manager & Alan appliance manager at Bobby Jones store) answer is you should have known that it was broken and refused it within 48 hrs of delivery (it has now been 41 days since delivery and had a repair man out twice, now I know its broken. Can I please return it? Answer NO! NO! NO! U should have known within 48 hrs! Never going to buy another appliance from home depot. I wish I could give them negative stars. read more

I don't even want to give 1 star. I bought a washing machine on November 20th and it was scheduled for delivery December 4th. The day of delivery the truck arrived and instead of a delivery we were told the washer was damaged and they could not deliver it. I was then told I'd have to make a claim with the manufacturer. I went to. The store and told them I wasn't making a claim for an appliance I've never had possession of. The manager agreed to refund my account. I stood there for over 30 minutes while she supposedly did it. I get a bill today for the washer. I called and the lying manager didn't refund the washer. My name is T Canty and Home depot started my floor install Nov 2017 snap and click laminate. The floors turned out ok and were done a little after thanksgiving;but the stairs still aren't complete. There has been extra damage to my stairs from multiple incompetent installers wasting my time and costing me money from losing time at work and GREAT MENTAL ANGUISH, I'M BEYOND UPSET. When you enter an agreement with a multimillion dollar company that advertises quality and professional service that is what you expect. I received much less than what I expected. I brought My beautiful town home located on the savanna river with the expectation of renting it out for the Masters Golf tournament; I explained this to the management at the store and the management at the install company; they were so sure that the job would be complete within a reasonable time frame. I believed them mostly due to the kindness of the staff at the store and their willingness to help in anyway GREAT TEAM AT THE STORE;BUT THIS DOES NOT EXCUSE THE DELAY IN THE INSTALATION PROCESS.NO INCOME FROM THE MASTERS THIS YEAR. This type of experience cannot go unanswered.As I have read other reviews and this is not an isolated incidence. We as customers must demand better service or this will continue.
