I have loyally gone to this Home Depot for years. Until Sunday. I have never had a shopping experience where the shelf stockers (or pullers) ran the customers away so they could do their thing. I was literally shopping for spray paint and these two kids ran me off like a bar shutting down at 2:00 am. Very rude and then just put their little gate up and ignored everyone. You cannot treat paying customers that are in the middle of shopping like that. If the row is already closed so be it. But to run people out, shewing them to get lost? Come on. For the managers, this was around 5:00-ish pm just so you'll have an idea of who to two male workers were. I left and went straight to Lowe's to finish my shopping. Those two guys lost multiple sales for you because I was not the only one that got ran off. Then, their store response is to ask me to go fill out a bunch of forms. Nice. read more

They cheated me out of $75 on an item they would not let me return without a receipt. I do business here through my work and for my personal home needs for years. The DEI manager treated me like a criminal that was trying to rip them off. It is rare that you can find an associate here that doesn't drop their eyes and walk past you instead of offering help. The last straw was that they started locking their bathroom! That is a sure sign that the neighborhood has flipped to ghetto status. I don't feel safe shopping here anymore and will not go back. I usually don't have any bad experience at Home Depot but I rented a carpet cleaner from this location, not knowing how to use it for the first time. All went well when they showed me how to use it and the attachment that goes with it, only to find out that it was the wrong attachment 2 hours of having the equipment. I called twice to the location and no one picked up. I returned the equipment and I told them about the incident. They asked me why I didn't call even though I did and that I should have received the grey attachment instead of the black (As if I would have known since it was my the first time using the carpet cleaner). There was a lack of empathy since I don't believe they apologized for giving me the wrong attachment. I was hopping to get discounted a little bit to reprimand their mistake, but there was none offered. At that point, I didn't see any use in arguing for a couple extra bucks, i was a little upset of the principle that did not care enough to apologize for their error. I would just be more aware of the rentals they give out next time. read more

I have been coming to this Home Depot for years for housing projects and supplies. Sometimes employees are hard to find, but those instances are few and far between. If you look ahead online, you can find the exact bin location for the items that you're looking to purchase and I haven't had any issues with the items i've looked for this way not being there. Also, just like all of the other home improvement stores, they allow dogs. They've had this awesome Chow-Chow that has been coming to the store for years and just sits on the cart by the door, waiting for it's owner to come back. I came to this location for the first time midweek looking for some moving supplies and in need of a flat bed truck rental asap. The rental process was very smooth (need Auto Insurance and an ID) and the guy in the tool rental area was very respectful! I love shopping at Home Depot online and then picking up in store. If I go in I end up spending too much so this lets me go and just get exactly what I need, no distractions. The order was ready about an hour after ordering which was perfect and gave me plenty of time to complete my project same day. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is because the person I interacted with at the counter was more interested in having her break and said so, very loudly at least three times before sending me to the other side of the store to collect my items. She also wouldn't take payment for an additional item I picked up on my way in.... What? .... I couldn't help myself! read more

love the theme song. it's catchy, attention grabbing; however, i prefer lowes. blue is a much better color than orange. i also don't like the font that is used in the logo i think it could use some work. also why are there always people on forklifts? do you sell that much wood that you have to keep restocking. lowe's never has people on forklifts. they are more prepared than y'all are it seems. also the paint section of your store is confusing and not ascetically appealing as lowe's. they go in rainbow color order even when they mix the brands. if you would work some of these tips into your business i would probably shop there more. I love Home Depot now. I used to be a Lowe's guy, but no more. Today I found out that this Home Depot is one of the largest in DFW. (I asked.) Size matters when it comes to selection, so I appreciate that. But in typical Home Depot fashion, their prices are still lower than Lowe's. And today as I was walking around picking up a ceiling fan, a door, dry wall and a bunch of odds and ends, I was greeted multiple times by a sales person simply asking if I needed help. I didn't have wander row to row looking for someone to tell me where something was --- customer service was brilliant. I found my new home improvement store. read more

Do not order a door with this store! Huge lack of communication and common sense. Ordered a door and was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks. Install date came and the contractor never came so after waiting around for hours i finally called the contractor and they said "oh the door was missing pieces they didn't call you" So now I called the store and was hung up on 3-4 times!! Finally spoke to someone and they apologized and ordered the missing pieces another 2-3 weeks wait. Install date #2 comes up and my wife takes the day off. I get a phone call saying the door was still missing pieces and the contractor refused to install it. I call a manager and speak with them about what's happening and they said i can pick it up and they'll take $50 off which is the cost of delivery. This should have been the sign to just go somewhere else.I honestly liked the door and thought what else could happen I'm sure they will work hard to fix the issue. So after another 2-3 week wait Install date #3 comes up I take the day off again and they show up and the door is visible severely damaged. Now common sense would tell you i wasn't going to accept a deeply scratched door with large dents. The contractor exact words were they said "Take the door to the customer and see what they say" Again All the while they keep saying we are sorry and will replace it and compensate you for the troubles but wont tell you how much. Another 4-6 week wait for them to order a new door. Finally gets delivered and installed. I emailed the store manager numerous times and only received a call from a manager on duty. They credited my account $500 which is nice, but never have a seen such poor service. When purchasing something from someone especially a large company like Home Depot it shouldn't be this hard or frustrating. I used to only shop at Home Depot but not anymore! The Stores employees and leaders need to be trained. read more

After years of patronage we will be taking our business elsewhere. Staff all around and no one would help. Employees sitting around chatting (Bob in lighting/ceiling fans), Incredibly rude and unprofessional (Gus, a "new" employee of one week supposedly).... took almost an hour to even get a Manager out. Tasha, the Manager, listened to our complaint but took no further action. Not only did you lose an appliance sale, you have lost our business for good. As a breast cancer Survivor, I've been through enough in my lifetime. I don't think assistance, some degree of customer service and common courtesy should be too much to ask. I purchased some blinds last week and needed to get them trimmed since no one knew how when I bought them. I stopped in today and was told the only person who knew how to trim blinds was the moving pallets and would be with me in a few minutes. After waiting 28 minutes and having an appointment I had to leave. I am going to try again this evening to see if someone knows how to do anything. If not I will drive to the 360 location to see if they have more then one person doing everything. And can help a customer with a basic task. read more

I purchased a Honda generator that is advertised as being quiet from Home Depot on S. Cooper in Arlington TX. Not so much. I was in my neighbor's house and the generator was running, They asked me to turn it off, it was that loud. I took it back and was offered a store credit as I waited 1 day too long to return it. That was my fault. Turns out a store credit can not be used to buy anything in the store only. Well, that certainly limits what you can buy, you can not purchase anything online at the home depot website. That sucks. I purchased a Toshiba window A.C because that is all the store had available I took it home and placed it in the window and tried to sleep. No such luck. It was so loud when it cycled it woke the wife up each time. I took it back the next day and my return was denied because I used store credit to buy it. What is a person to do? I now have an AC that I can not use and can not return. Home depot has stolen my money and tells me I must file a letter of dispute and then it depends on what the computer decides. No Really this is what I was told by the HD rep that I called. This is poor business in my opinion and I am thru with Home Depot. I would not shop there again. read more

I scheduled an appointment for 0915 today and when I showed up to the store the lady that was supposed to have helped me was attending another customer, cutting blinds for him. She did't apologize for being late. She then had an attitude because I brought her the measurements of what the new kitchen would be, but they weren't from an architect. She said she wouldn't design a kitchen unless I knew measurements to the inch of where the new water lines and electrical would be located. I told her that based on her design, I could make those electrical and water line measurements happen. She said that she needed to know what type of island we wanted and what cabinets. I gave her the cabinets and asked her to show me what types of islands they offered. She seemed bothered and said I should go look them up myself or look at HGTV! She started going through some so called shapes of islands but I could not see them because one the way her computer was angled and there is a plexy glass between the customer and the Home Depot Rep on her desk obstucting the view. I told her I apoligized for wasting her time as well as her wasting my time and for her being late. She seemed to get upset with that comment. She said "I wasn't late, I was arriving at 0915 when you were here and our appointment was not until 0930." I mentioned to her, that was a lie because I was given a 0915 appointment over the phone and that she wasn't arriving because she was already attending another customer with his blinds at 0915. We then disagreed about her not wanting to design our kitchen. She said well if you don't like my services feel free to go to another designer at another Home Depot, so I said goodbye and left the store. Home Depot's customer service seems to have gone down the drain. They did the same thing with a new refrigerator that we wanted to buy. We ended up leaving and purchasing the refrigerator at Lowes who had professional customer service. Looks like we might have to do the same with the new Kitchen Cabinets. Home Depot needs to learn to take care of its customers instead of running them away! read more
