First visit was Q1 2024 for a pickup load of "hot" mushroom compost, the second visist was Q4 2024 for a pickup load again of Promix organic mushroom compost for $70 + tax. Each time the guy at the counter was cool, just doing his job kind of way. That good. He told me to follow this guy on the tractor with the loader. I knew this would be janky because I am a terrible driver and non understanding of such directions. The young fella on the tractor made allowances for me, I could tell he knew I was gonna make a wrong turn or some crazy move. His eyes told me "crazy woman driver" and I was just fine with that. He hadn't seen me yet with a shopping cart at Walmart attempting to manuever through the aisles. 12 year old grandson gave me a few directions and it all came out just fine. This Promix Mushroom compost is not recommended to go direct on the garden / flower beds as it needs to cook a bit longer. I add it as a topping mix over the winter to break down on top of fallow beds and/or to mix into the compost heaps to help the fermentation. It works.

I've never done any business with these guys that wasn't sod, so I can't really speak to installation services or delivery. What I do know is that I've been up there to pick up sod since I was a little kid getting wrangled into volunteer yardwork. Now that I'm a "grown man", I'm still getting my sod from there. It's always been good looking sod and if there's not good sod to have, they don't have it. There's a lot of places that load up on sod and let it sit until it's dry, moldy, and mostly dead. I've never seen that at Arlington Grass. Not much to say about customer service. It's straight forward. I back my truck (or car sometimes when I'm not thinking...) up to a pallet, pay, and they load my sod. Sometimes I help. Sometimes I don't. They're friendly. I'm friendly. Done deal. What else is there?

I called Saturday morning around 8 to double check that the grass would be ready. Guy says " I don't have an order for you". This is the second time they have done this! I then asked for them to put me down for a half pallet of bermuda. They guy say " sure, I'll put you down". As the day goes on, they started calling me around 3 pm make sure I was still coming. Then, they called me at 3:30pm stating " we leave at 4 so you need to be here before that". I got there and find my half pallet of Bermuda is dying and all brown. I told them I wouldn't accept that pallet and I can come back when they have something else. The jerk that works there says : "don't order grass if you're not going to buy it" . WARNING: the kids that run the place are incompetent and rude . They will sell shotty grass and want to argue when you don't buy it. I have included a picture of the grass they tried to sell me.

We have been pleased with the results. But four years ago, we started using them to mow our yard and trim our shrubs/hedges. The year round package includes weekly mowings 39 times and 6 bush/hedge trims and it is a lifesaver. What impresses us is the team comes out, and efficiently takes care of our yard and the clean up is fantastic, even after doing trimming work. We are glad we are JH Group customers and so is our neighbor who signed up after seeing their crew care for our yard!

Charlie reached out to me, I told him my son needed a very large but dead tree to be cut down and the stump to be grinded out. He came out later that day, was very polite, respectful (I only say that as most men doing business with women, are not), he looked over the tree, we negotiated a fair price (with my son on the phone) and he said I would be his last job the following day & he would text me when they were on the way. On Wednesday, I got a text around 3pm, his crew arrived and then Charlie arrived and everyone got to work. It was completely amazing how quickly his crew got this large, dead tree down, loaded in their trailer, they cleaned up the mess and were gone in about 50minutes. This last time a large branch had fallen on my fence damaging it where I couldn't use my gate. I called Dallas Tree Service and they immediately came over and took down the branch that was affecting my gate opening. I had decided to remove the entire tree since we had have so many problems before. They came back a few days later and removed the entire tree, cleaned everything up and even fixed my fence all for a very good price. If it wasn't for them coming to remove the fallen branch I would have been stuck as I couldn't open my gate. If you need a good tree service, I recommend calling them first!

I received an estimate from Metroplex Gutters for 6'' gutters installed on my house which was very competitive. The associate was very quick to schedule the estimate and was very thorough in answering my questions and concerns. This part of the service was great. I informed Metroplex that I would be getting estimates from other companies and that I would contact them in about a week if I decided to go with them. A week later after reviewing all the estimates, I chose Metroplex and called them to have a few changes made to the downspout locations. I discussed the changes and also emailed them what I wanted, and was told I would get a call back the next day with the updated price and scheduling. The next day, no call. The second day after, I decided to call them. Again I discussed the changes, was given a new price estimate, and was told that they were unsure of scheduling due the owner being out of town in the next few weeks, but they would call me in the morning to schedule and work out payment. The next morning, no call. The 2nd day after, again no call. It's now 4 days since being told they would call me and I have not received any call. At this point, I think it's a little ridiculous I've had to continually reach out to Metroplex to schedule installation, even after being told they would reach out to me multiple times. I guess my business/money isn't worth it to them. If this is indicative of their customer service when I'm trying to give them my money/business, then I question if their 7 year labor warranty means anything if I were to ever need repairs done.
