In my opinion, this business was much better before they moved to the new location. We used to buy tons of plants and décor here, and one of the best parts was talking with the older lady who really knew her plants and trees. Her knowledge and the friendly, small-town feel always kept us coming back, and the prices were fair. Now, with the new location, it feels more like a corporate operation. The small-town charm is gone, and so are the reasonable prices. Everything seems way overpriced, to the point where it feels like my wallet is being taken advantage of. I now find myself shopping at other nurseries where I can get a better deal and still receive good service. It's sad to see a local business that built a loyal following in town lose its character and affordability. before they moved I tried to get their landscaping service to put a stone around a large flower bed. The main guy came out, spent about 5 mins seeing what I wanted, and no calls back. I called and he quoted me for the project. I asked how he could do that since he didn't measure anything when he was out here and no one else had come. He told me he could do it from the Satellite , I told him I didn't believe that as some of the area would have been blocked by trees. I kept getting the run around and went else where. I later found out from some friends that the "main guy" who came out is not really reliable. In the garden area, the main lady that worked the desk and check out was really nice. Earth tones is right off 287 going south bound towards Waxahachie (in midlothian). They offer so many options of plants and trees! Staff is super friendly and nice. They were extremely helpful and informative when we had questions on where certain plants were kept. Such a pretty nursery. If you have the chance to stop by and check it out, take it! read more

Loved visiting this place. A very large array of plants and trees to shop from. Im new to shopping for trees, but a lot of the more mature trees were about $400 or so. There is also lawn décor and wooden swings to look at and buy if interested. Large outdoor area and a good amount of parking. Looks like there was stone for purchase as well. read more

They will Not Honor your WARRANTY!!! The warranty is what convinced me in August of 2020 to pay over $500 for two trees. Than several months later in November, I went back to them and paid est. 8k for landscaping, 8 more trees, 10 Pampas grass, sprinkler repair, pallets of grass you name it! Tell me why my trees and pampas grass are NOT growing AND I have contacted Earth Tones for 5 weeks in a row to please take a look at the health of what I just paid for a few months ago. DEVON emailed that they were going to come look at them but they never showed up. After contacting them again they will not email nor call me back. I asked before install of the trees IS it okay to get them done before winter Jason said "Yes" they recommend they take root right away!!! I was asking about the health of my first 2 trees in October before it got cold. Devon told me they look fine and now April they look worse. I'm a customer NOT a business. I do not have money to waste by trusting a COMPANY would do the right thing by their customers... not ignore them!!! Not allow a customer to pay thousands into their business oh and btw extra for the warranty... for the warranty not to be honored!! I'm very disgusted in the lack of integrity of this company. read more

Any landscaping projects you need, call Earthtones, we recommend them 200%. large potted tropical plants around the pool, French drains for drainage problems, new sod front & back, they test sprinkler system after laying sod to ensure it takes while correcting sprinkler heads, if needed all under the original estimate of sod project. Jordan and Jango have gone over and beyond any other company have used in the past. Seriously think they have a "sprinkler whisperer" on board, that's what I told them because of how awesome he did. I recently purchased a Shantung maple tree from their website for a good price, considering that this tree is somewhat hard to find. Staff member Devin helped me wrap the tree branches for transit and load it in my truck. I also appreciate him taking time to answer my questions about planting the tree in my yard. Unfortunately I don't live in the Midlothian area, otherwise I would have definitely requested to hire him for help with planting the tree. We have done business here quite a bit this last year, however I went in last Thursday to buy the green egg for my husband's 50th birthday and needed it delivered my Sunday. Was told this usually takes a week or so to make happen, however they did it for me the next day!! Awesome, he was so surprised and happy. Great customer service! read more

By far the worst experience I have had. Concrete work was poured improperly. The surface flaked off where it looks like partial aggregate. Retaining walls cracked two weeks after completion and were falling apart within two months. No footings were installed as per the original contract. They left forms, concrete over spills and trash across the work site for me to haul off. They have offered no reasonable correction for the inadequate service. I speak with a different person every time I call. I have asked to speak to the owner and have been told that will not happen. This has been an eighteen month process with no attempt to resolve the issues. Their last correspondence, which was several months ago, they asked me for a settlement amount for a project which I paid half down. They have completely messed up where it would not pass an inspection and I will now have to pay someone to repair or remove their work all together. Steer clear. read more
