Lunch break- Katie is in black.
Sue R.

LOVED this trip! My kids said it was the highlight of their vacation. We took a 6 hour hike with our guide, Katie. She was so knowledgable about everything- plants, trees, animals, history- you name it. I was probably a little over confident in my abilities when booking this particular hike, but Katie knew when to stop to rest and was very encouraging- yet I never felt any pressure. They have trips for all levels and ages. This was an experience we wouldn't have gotten any other way. I highly recommend this!

Beautiful :)

What a great experience. My husband and I had the best half day (8-noon, wildlife tour and snowshoe) with Katie (well versed, educated and objective naturalist and guide - she was impressive). We had rented bikes from Teton Mountain Bike the day before and saw a lot of wild life on our own so we were kind of regretting paying $130/pp for this experience but with Katie it was worth it. She's like the animal whisperer. We were learning so much from her we just let her talk (and we are a lawyer and entrepreneur - so not talking is not our strong suit!). We saw a huge herd of bighorn sheep and elk in the National Elk Refuge (same place we biked to the day before- but no sheep and the elk were behind a fence). We attempted to find a porcupine when we snowshoed but to no avail- but snowshoeing in the Grant Teton NP was still quite exhilarating in its own way... especially for beach folks. HH was very responsive. Cathy called or emailed and a couple of confirmation calls following up to the day. Great day!! Thanks Katie!

Definitely a must do in Yellowstone National Park! Holy cow! Moses exceeded all of our…read moreexpectations! He was so knowledgeable about the geological history of Yellowstone it felt like we had a walking encyclopedia with us. He treated us all with kindness and respect, which was I'm sure difficult sometimes with loud and inquisitive kids! He was patient with my 75 year old mom and accommodating when something proved too taxing. I loved how he also let us expereince things on our own too. We walked around Old Faithful just the 4 of us and a few other places too. The highlight had to be the wolf we all caught on his INCREDIBLE binocs! I seriously was blown away by how good they were! He also provided a delicious lunch for us and we enjoyed his company on our picnics. We booked Moses for two days and his van was as spotless the second day as it was the first. I was impressed after a 13-hour day, he still cleaned it all out of our dirty shoeprints and restocked the water so that we could start fresh the next day. Thank you for the incredible memories, Moses! We saw Yellowstone how it was meant to be seen in two days, and it definitely inspired us to come back and camp there to experience it even more.

Your tour is in a brand new Ford Transit Van with huge, clear picture windows all around for continuous viewing. Moses is extremely knowledgeable about the entire area- and, he's a kind and accommodating person who was so pleasant to spend a full day with a few days ago. This was my second time with him, and I've recommended him to other friends who had a great experience! You will NOT be disappointed! I promise!

We had a truly unforgettable experience touring with Buffalo Roam Tours, and I highly recommend…read moretheir services. We had the pleasure of having founder Matt Fagan as our tour guide for 4 days in September 2014. Matt has such extensive knowledge of the best sites and how to view wildlife, and he had everything planned so seamlessly that we were able to see an incredible amount of amazing things. Each day was completely different, and Matt is a true expert of Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton areas. He has a wealth of knowledge, and has a great way of sharing it in a way that makes it engaging. Matt really made this a spectacular trip. He has a way of making everyone feel comfortable. Even his driving is great (having recently been on other tours outside of the US with a bad driver, this was important to me). We saw all kinds of wildlife like wolves, bison, moose, antelope, deer, elk, ravens, eagles, and even a little bunny rabbit! The landscape is breathtaking at every turn, but Matt selected out sites that really showed off the best parts of Grand Teton & Yellowstone, including gorgeous waterfalls, canyons, and of course, many of the immense options for geysers. Even if you have just one day to tour, having a tour with Buffalo Roam is completely worth your time and money. The parks are so vast, there is hardly any cell phone service, so you save vast amounts of time, effort, and stress of having to navigate sites (or find a bathroom) by hiring Buffalo Roam Tours - they know this place like it's their treasured back yard, and they happily share their passion for park in a way that is contagious. This is coming from a through and through city girl, and even before the end of day 1 I was wearing binoculars around my neck and calling out names of different wildlife. Who knew? Thank you Buffalo Roam Tours for a wonderful adventure that we will always treasure!

We were lucky enough to see a grizzly bear, bison, plenty of elk, and moose too. We had lunch at Dornan's which was perfect! One of our group got very ill. So, while we had lunch Matt drove them back to the hotel. Top notch all around. I would definitely recommend Buffalo Roam tours for any up coming trips to the area. Thanks so much for making my birthday week so special.

Taren was exceedingly apologetic and accommodating. It turns out they were handling an unusually high volume of reservations that day, and unfortunately, ours slipped through the cracks. Her service recovery was excellent. Given the business's consistently high ratings, I have no doubt that our one-off situation will be taken as a learning opportunity to help them continue delivering excellent tours to future clients. Original abridged review: **Disappointed by the experience -- not what we paid for, though our guide saved the day** I hate to leave a review like this, but our experience didn't match what was promised or paid for. We booked an early morning safari in advance as part of a bachelorette weekend, expecting a seamless start to a packed day. Unfortunately, the company forgot our reservation entirely, and despite repeated calls, no one arrived until two hours late -- well past the peak wildlife viewing time and after significant disruption to our schedule. Several advertised amenities, including breakfast and hot beverages, were missing, and communication throughout was poor. A minimal refund was eventually offered, but only after we pushed for it. That said, our guide Barry was outstanding. He came in on his day off, brought great energy, was knowledgeable and engaging, and did his best to salvage the situation. We're grateful to him. Ultimately, though, the overall experience was disappointing. For a premium tour marketed as professional and seamless, it missed the mark. We hope the company improves its customer service and reliability moving forward.

If it's within your budget, I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Ecotours…read more Our guide, Ben, was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about Yellowstone and the surrounding area. He was also incredibly patient with our rambunctious kids, which made the experience much more enjoyable for our family. The snacks throughout the day were excellent and thoughtfully selected. The offerings ranged from blueberry muffins (which tasted like they may have come from a local bakery) to bison jerky. Sodas, tea, hot chocolate, and French press coffee were available throughout the tour. Hot drinks were served in stainless steel travel mugs, and water was provided in reusable water bottles that we got to keep--a nice touch that fit well with the company's environmental focus. Lunch was fantastic. The Mediterranean and elote salads were generous enough that we wished we had a way to take leftovers home. The mufaletta sandwich was piled with a generous amount of lunch meat and cheese. The kids also enjoued their PB& Js. The brownies were absolutely divine. We also appreciated that the meal was served in stainless steel bento boxes with real silverware rather than disposable containers, which felt very consistent with Ecotours' name and mission. I can't forget to mention the washable tablecloth and napkins. We enjoyed the viewing hatches on the vehicle. While we only had one opportunity to get close enough to wildlife to really use them, they were a fun feature. Our kids especially loved being able to see out the back windows and open them for a better view. Overall, the tour was well organized, comfortable, and family-friendly. The combination of excellent guiding, great food, thoughtful amenities, and a commitment to sustainability made it a memorable Yellowstone experience.

"Wildlife adventure tour with Kyle!"…read more We went out for a morning wildlife photo adventure with Kyle of The Wyoming Guide Company today and we can not say enough great things about this day! This is our 2nd tour with a guide in Jackson Hole and Klye by far exceeded our expectations. I would recommend him, and only him to anyone visiting the area. Kyle does private tours, for the cost of what you would pay to be crammed in with a bunch of others. Private tours even if it's only you and your friend, spouse, partner ect. So you have tons of room, a comfy expedition , no agenda, and all oKyle's expertise and attention. He picked us up promptly at our hotel. Coffee, tea, cocoa, snacks etc are all taken care of. You just hop in a go. I think our tour was supposed to be four hours, but I'm pretty sure we meandered around the entire Jackson valley for almost 5. Kyle is warm, charming and full of info about the area. We took our time, and stopped as much as we wanted along the way. We took tons of photos, saw Moose, Bald eagles, Trumpter swans, Deer, Bighorn sheep, tons and tons of Elk, Prong horn sheep and stunning scenery. Kyle even took the time to share his photos with us at no additional costs. He was FANTASTIC! LUV love, loved this tour! Thx Kyle!! I did a lot of research and talked to someone here who explained to me that the runoff from the mountains this early in the season raises the water level so there are only a few places you can try to fly fish during this time of year and possibly have success. This company has a license to fish in areas that not all companies have so I booked with this company and I'm so glad that I did. We stopped by the shop the day before our booking because we were in town. We took care of the fishing licenses (but you can do this online) and were ready to go. We had Tim and Will as our guides. Will texted me the night before we were scheduled and we talked about what time to meet at the shop. When we arrived both Will and Tim were there to greet us and we headed up to the river. There were not very many boats on the river. Again, it's early in the season and it's tough fishing this time of year. Tim and Will were extremely knowledgeable and great instructors. Our family is very familiar fishing but have never fished on fly before. This is completely different from spin rod fishing. It took an incredible amount of patience to instructor beginners like us but they really helped encourage us and build up our confidence. Between the three of our family members on the trip, we brought five fish to the boat! We did get several more on the line but just couldn't set the hooks fast enough. I didn't really notice any of the other boats getting any fish except for one. I'm so glad that I booked with such knowledgeable and patient guides. I am certain we would not have had success this early in the season if we had booked with a different company. I highly recommend this company and especially the amazing guides that we had. These are really great people doing what they love and sharing their knowledge with others.

When I called to check out I was told the half-day charge was $695. That's 90% of the whole day charge! Now, this isn't my first rodeo. I've been fishing in Jackson for years, but this is much more than I expected for a half-day trip. But, I sucked it up....then Bruce, the guy on the phone starts complaining that my tip is too low. Really!? Not cool or appropriate. Well, I pay and I call Scott a couple of weeks later. He makes me feel like its my fault. Now, I know it's buyer beware, but, there was no sense of customer service or certainly any interest to have me use them again. Too bad, I really enjoyed Ryan, the guide. John B
