An amazing dinner at The Hitching Post on the grounds of Hacienda Siesta Alegre! We came here for a nice dinner when staying at an Airbnb close by and was so glad we did. The couple who ran the space were very attentive and provided amazing service. The menu is small but is filled with great options - pro tip you must try the grouper. It was the best cooked fish I think I've ever had and I was happy to see they had local fish on the menu. We split a main dish, salad, and potato dish and left so full (unfortunately too full for dessert) The seating area is a covered patio space lit up with muted lighting and candles. With it being off the beaten path there weren't many people dining with gave it a more intimate feel. Most people are either staying in the bed and breakfast on the grounds or local to the surrounding neighborhoods. The view looking towards el Yunque made for a fantastic backdrop to watch the sky change colors with sunset. You won't regret a night here, a must stop if you're in the area!

Queso over chorizo with bread, fried chickpeas and crispy potatoes with the best dipping sauce/spread... all delicious!!!!

The only experience I have had that I can say was to perfection. Jason, the co-owner, welcomed us and from the moment he helped us park to the moment we left we had the most outstanding experience. The atmosphere was breathtaking, seeing the mountains in the distance, getting to feed the horses in the barn and then driving up to see the B&B that was straight out of a magazine, it was simply amazing. The food was out of this world. You can really tell that Jason and the other chef are exquisite in their craft because everything we tried was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Lastly the service was spotless. I felt like we were the only ones there based on how Jason treated our every question and need. If you have any questions on where to go when you come to Puerto Rico for food, you have to come here!!!! Bravo chef Jason, Bravo.

Amazing atmosphere! Very relaxing. I have some allergies to tomatoes, dairy and eggs. The owner took the time to physically mark up a menu to let me know what foods he could accommodate for me. We felt like this was one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Puerto Rico.

Garbanzos frito chickpeas, hacienda spice blend, sea salt.

Best to visit before the sun goes down, if you're not from the area. When we visited, there was only one person cooking the food (from what I could see,) but surprisingly, everything came out in a somewhat timely manner. And everything we tried was DELICIOUS. For apps, we tried the Fried Calamari and Fried Cheese with a Guava Sauce, which was sooo good. But the real highlight of my meal was my Shrimp Mofongo with Creamy White Garlic Sauce. It was packed with chicharron, and perfectly seasoned. I think it is one of the best I ever tried since Punto Del Vista in OSJ closed. If you're brave and want to venture off the beaten path, it's worth giving this place a try.

I thought it was going to have a strong whiskey taste, but it wasn't the case and I enjoyed that. The pama and whiskey mixture was very smooth. Then we ordered 3 lobsters, paella and the ribs. We ordered sides of tostones de platano, tostones de pana, arroz moro and mofongo. The sides were amazing. The mofongo was not dry and had a nice garlic taste. The platanos tasted fresh and the rices were delicious. The lobster was well prepared and good priced. The server was great. He was very light, made jokes throughout the night and was very attentive. This is a lively, very cool place in the area of canovanas.
