Excellent service specially Diosaris our server and the bar tender Grenesis R made me a chai martini perfect 10 out of 10 , I could taste the coffee, the cream, the cinnamon and the martini Well worth it. This place is a wow! The service was top notch, friendly and attentive. The coffee is strong and delicious. They have a beverage for everyone, all kinds of flavors and styles of coffee. The passion fruit mimosa was as good as it sounds. The arepas were flaky and buttery. With the ham and hollandaise sauce on top, you couldn't ask for a better flavor. The food was soooo good and the drinks were fire as well! We ordered some staples to share and the portions are so large we took half back to out airbnb. Really wish I could give 1/2 stars because this place deserves a 4.5. Why not 5 stars? They don't have Cholula hot sauce!! They only have Tabasco or Siracha. If they only had Tabasco, it would probably not have bothered me so much but why have Siracha instead of Cholula! I should stop wasting time complaining about hot sauce because we really enjoyed our meal here otherwise. I got their latte special, which was caramel and hazelnut. As you can see, it is part latte part dessert but I was not complaining because it was very try yummy especially with the chocolate chips. The chicken and waffles was also good although my friend ordered the same dish and his chicken pieces were more like nuggets. I was happy with mine. Cathie also enjoyed her empanadas. Service was good and ambiance is not bad. So overall, very good except for that one thing that I will not mention again although it rhymes with pot moss. read more

We ventured away from our hotel one morning to try breakfast locally. It is definitely more of a touristy spot, but they do offer a nice variety of breakfast options. We had the traditional eggs and bacon, which was solid. My favorite part, though, was the coffee -- the caramel iced coffee and the frappe were both delicious and topped with whipped cream. Absolutely amazing experience! This place knocked it out of the park from start to finish. I had the Montecristo sandwich and wow -- the bread was phenomenal and perfectly done. Every bite was rich and satisfying. For drinks, I ordered a cappuccino and the special coffee of the day (a latte with Irish cream and coconut milk). Both were excellent -- smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality coffee. The real stars, though, were the pulled pork Benedicta and the arepa Benedicts. Out of this world. The arepa was super crunchy, the pulled pork was juicy and packed with flavor, and the hollandaise sauce was perfectly creamy. Everything paired so well together. They also came with delicious breakfast potatoes that were the perfect side. Service was great too -- our server was friendly and made solid recommendations that did not disappoint. We went there on our way to the El Yunque Rainforest for breakfast. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the most gracious server, Tony. He provided us with the best service! The wait wasn't long but the food definitely took a long time to get- absolutely worth the wait. I had the salmon poached eggs. It was delicious- with the right amount of salmon. We went on a Sunday around 11am. The place was crowded and parking is very limited. The host was friendly and told us it was a 20min wait. We were seated within 15 mins. We didn't stay to eat because the waiter didn't come to take our order AND the music is so loud. There is a saxophone player rotating across the restaurant. Music blasting in the background and people speaking on top of another. The atmosphere was overwhelming. In looking at the food menu, food is overpriced. It's American mainline overpriced. Overall, disappointing experience. We did end up finding a small family owned business within 10mins away, Lluvia. Recommendation: lower the music. I could have overlooked the slow waiter and the food prices but the music was too much. read more

Visiting from California and heard great things about Ekelekua so we decided to give it a try. I usually don't like anybody's coffee (I stick to my go-to spots, Dutch bros and Starbucks). We haven't had the most pleasant experience with the customer service in Puerto Rico but this place gave a warm welcome and we're going to seat us right then and there. We only wanted coffee to go so we ordered and waited about 5 minutes before they brought out our 2 hot coffees and 1 iced. We asked for the coffee of the day and it was delicious! Well this was confusing because this place is highly rated on this app. It felt more like a tourist trap and fell a bit short of our expectations. Food presentation was cool and the coffee looked really fun. Just wish the actual coffee flavor came through a little more though. As for the food it was ok. Nothing special. I got the Benedict and I've had better ones where I'm from. If it was cheap I could've let this slide but jeez the food was expensive. Service was fine too.
