It's a little hidden gem in San Juan. Quiet and the decor is beautiful. My boyfriend and I came to eat brunch, the Silver dollar pancakes are insanely delicious. Small but filling and there's a bit of crunch to them but they're still soft and fluffy. I had the oatmeal and it's the cutest set up. And the Cuban Sandwich--we were speechless. It's simply the best sandwich we've ever had. The pulled pork was so juicy, and the bread. There's not enough words to describe how tasty it is. Just wow! Great breakfast spot! Stopped here before my return flight and only complaint is that I didn't find it sooner. Fresh, quality produce that I don't mind paying a little extra for; it's worth it! I ordered several sides a la carte: eggs, fruit, tostones, and bacon. Everything tasted great and I didn't need hot sauce for the eggs. They were tasty on their own (so of good quality!). Came on a random weekday and there was no line so we were able to get seated in the front. It took forever for a waiter to bring a menu, and we were understanding with the influx of tourists. After ordering, the waitress came back 3+ times because there was something wrong with the machine. that was fine, and about 30 mins into waiting for our food, she told me she wouldn't be able to do tacos (ran out of tortillas?) and it would be a burrito, which is fine because at this point we were waiting over an hour for our food. Once we got the food (after an hour and 20 minutes) it was good. the mofongo was the best but we also realized they taste similar to one another because it used the same ingredients and sauce. in addition it was quite oily, which was expected but the spinach was drenched in the oil so we didn't bother eating it. the wait and price for the food didn't make it worth it to us, but we were happy to try it at least. read more

Hands down the worst dining experience of my life. Greeted by a rude, incompetent host that was too busy on his phone to seat us. Then we proceeded to wait for 25 minutes to get a glass of water. I ordered a Bloody Mary and received an iced glass of tomato juice, 45 minutes into my miserable stay here. Sitting outside can definitely be a bit hot (umbrellas could be bigger), but it's a fairly quiet spot secluded by plants. This place is a great little cafe to stop by and grab a quick breakfast. They have great Mallorcas and classics breakfast sandwiches. It was so good we went there twice on our little get away to Puerto Rico. I had the Mallorca cubano day one and the monte Christo sandwich day two. My wife had the vegetarian grilled cheese twice and loved it. Plus you can grab the food to go and enjoy your breakfast on the beach two blocks away like we did. Don't forget to grab a Puerto Rican iced coffee. And if you are feeling adventurous there's a drink called Mavi that is made from tree bark (I know doesn't sound like it could be appetizing but trust me it is delicious), give it a try you will only find it in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic.
