Ford was delicious, more than enough portions, and the service was excellent. Brunch until 2 pm. Fully recommend it. Food was cooked to perfection with great flavors.

This is a small place with delicious food. The servers were very friendly. I tried the Mamposteado de Pollo and it was delicious. It is not far from Ocean Park Beach. Great air conditioner and very clean.

Came on a random weekday and there was no line so we were able to get seated in the front. It took forever for a waiter to bring a menu, and we were understanding with the influx of tourists. After ordering, the waitress came back 3+ times because there was something wrong with the machine. that was fine, and about 30 mins into waiting for our food, she told me she wouldn't be able to do tacos (ran out of tortillas?) and it would be a burrito, which is fine because at this point we were waiting over an hour for our food. Once we got the food (after an hour and 20 minutes) it was good. the mofongo was the best but we also realized they taste similar to one another because it used the same ingredients and sauce. in addition it was quite oily, which was expected but the spinach was drenched in the oil so we didn't bother eating it. the wait and price for the food didn't make it worth it to us, but we were happy to try it at least.

Touristy movie cafe feel. Food was great. Love the ambiance. It was such a great experience. Our server Carla was a very nice person. Great service

Cute little place with great food! We got the avocado toast w/ bacon and it was so fresh and tasty. We also got the chocolate pancakes, which were just fluffy and delectable. And the jugo de parcha (also known as maracuya) was so refreshing. I recommend for brunch!

We found this place in San Juan and decided to get brunch while our flight got delayed. We found easy street parking. TEverything was great and the portions were enormous. While we all enjoyed what we ordered I think just my 10 year old son got the best dish-the pancakes. They were VERY good.

Nice restaurant right near the park. Plenty of different meals that should be able to satisfy everyone in your party. They also have vegan options for a number of items. I had a breakfast burrito that held me over till dinner. Also had a very shake which was delicious. Staff is top notch, very friendly to all.while eating they seemed to have many returning customers as they were greeted with a welcome back.

    Mallorca Cubano and tostones!

5-stars? Yes! My girlfriend and I have been here twice, both times we got the Mallorca Cubano sandwich! ! She got fries. I got tostones. Our food was delicious! The wait staff are very kind, friendly, and attentive. It's a nice, quiet restaurant on a quiet street. Perfect! If we return to San Juan, we will certainly return here! I've had Cuban sandwiches in various locations, including Havana, and this was the best that I've ever had!

    Wonderful drinks and service.

Food is absolutely amazing and the service is fantastic. This is a small place but worth the stop. Amazing drinks too they have it all worth it.

Food was good. They were out of lot on the menu. So it wasn't really a huge selection at the time. Brunch crowd was light.

Delicious food! Amazing service! So pretty and relaxing environment. Overall WONDERFUL!!

Wow! Quaint and absolutely delicious! We had breakfast here twice on our trip (Uber from isle verde area back & forth isn't cheap but so worth it!) The morning cocktails & coffee, the servers, THE OATMEAL OMg the oatmeal.... I don't even like oatmeal & realize everyone thinks they have a grandma who makes it good...but THIS place has the corner on that market! We were told it's made w/ their secret ingredient ...LOVE!

We sat down for dinner at 7:45 and did not receive our drinks until 8:20, even though we put in our order as soon as we sat down... and asked politely how much longer until our drinks would come out... twice. Food did not come out for an hour and half, it was cold by the time we got it. Mac and cheese is not great cold. The ribs are extremely overcooked and like eating beef jerky. Drinks were okay, but by the time we got them everyone's cocktails were watered down, as well as the soft drinks. The ambiance was not great either since everyone around us was visibly frustrated by the wait times and lack of service, a table across flagged the waitress multiple times to ask where their stuff was. The food was decent, but again, cold. The wait times were no joke. We wrapped up our 7:45 dinner around 10, simply because of how long it took to be served. Our waitress came to our table maybe 3 times total, we would have to stand and find her to figure out where our food/drinks were. They were also out of a good majority of items on the menu when we tried to order them. Overall I unfortunately don't recommend! Price, service, and food are not great.

This local family-owned restaurant was a hit with our entire group of four. I ordered the Super Bowl Scramble, and wow, was it delicious. My friend ordered the Power Omelette, her husband had the Famous French Toast, and my husband chose the Ashford Special. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and was impressed with both the quality and the generous portions. The portions are large, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We left full, happy, and glad we stopped in. It felt so nice after getting overheated right before we got there. One thing I noticed while wandering around Old San Juan is that some restaurants likely survive on location and foot traffic alone, while others earn people seeking them out. Semilla definitely felt like the latter. It's tucked just around the corner from some of the busiest pedestrian areas, so it felt like we escaped the crowds for a little while without actually going very far. Overall, I'd happily come back. If you're staying nearby and looking for a good meal without being surrounded by the busiest tourist crowds, Semilla is well worth checking out.

I asked if I could be seated in a different section of the restaurant, and even though they were packed, they said absolutely and found me a lovely seat in the bar area. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. I suffer from severe food allergies but wanted to experience their tasting menu. My server spoke to the chef directly and then took the time to walk me through every option. I TRULY appreciated that they did not take anything off the menu but rather told me how they could adjust for my allergies. That is very rare and so very much appreciated that they went that extra mile for me. I highly recommend the tasting menu. It's 5 courses and they give you 3 options to choose from, within each course. And for the price ($85), a great value. Everything was delicious but I highly recommend the Breadfruit Gnocchi, Rainbow Runner Crudo, and Criollo Duck Mofongo. Chefs kiss! What I also noticed was, even though they were insanely busy, they didn't make you feel rushed. The invited you to savor the experience - which I did. The standout of the evening was the Criollo Duck Mofongo, which was absolutely exquisite and easily the best mofongo we had on our trip by far. The cocktails were tasty and unique, but a bit small for the price. This definitely isn't an every-night kind of restaurant...the prices are on the higher side.
