Chef special! Scallops and truffle pasta

This restaurant is the highlight of the hotel! Do NOT stay in the hotel, but come here if you're walking arounby calle loíza. The chef and the whole staff was amazing. They took such great care of us, were super attentive and had the best recommendations. The ambiance is very romantic. The lights are kept down low and they have fresh flowers and candles on the table. They have a great wine and cocktail list. The chef came and asked us how the food was and you can really tell everyone there cares about the people who dine there. The food was delicious and we had an amazing time! We went twice!!!

this was our first breakfast in Puerto Rico, and I did not disappoint. It seems as if this place was tucked in a hotel, and it had a private entrance. It was gorgeous on the inside and very intimate. I believe you're the only ones there, or they had just opened up. Our server was very polite and helpful when it came to narrowing down our choices. I had the French toast, and I've never had it prepared this way, but it was delicious. someone else had eggs, Benedict, eggs, and bacon, and fruity drinks were served around the whole table. The table was also set beautifully with flowers on it. It was very romantic, I would return again.

I am so glad my sister and I found this beautiful gem on our trip to Puerto Rico. The food was a 10/10. We ate at Niche every night we were there because we were addicted. The octopus was flawless every single time (I still can't stop thinking about it). The crab cakes were like nothing I've ever had before. Chef Carlos is top tier. We were also absolutely addicted to the tuna tartare as well. Now for the staff. The warmest in the business. The trip was for my sisters birthday and they made our first night in Puerto Rico such a memorable one. Bartender Hector brought out a delicious tiramisu for my sister, not to mention his expresso martinis are a 10/10. Can't wait until the next trip to run right back

If you are looking for an intimate space with a broad menu selection with knowledgeable and friendly staff this is the place for you. The restaurant is tucked away in a hotel. The food was delicious and the service and ambiance was on point. I definitely recommend getting a reservation since the space is small.

What a lovely and intimate experience! Cozy setting with excellent food and top notch service. We had the seafood stew, the red snapper fillet and the burger as well as the volcano pictured. Everything was delicious and a lovely free Coquito drink rounded out a perfect evening!

This restaurant was amazing! The food was incredible, and the service was an absolute 10! The ambiance is cozy, romantic, and intimate. It's on the first floor of the Acacia Boutique Hotel and is quite small, so reservations are a necessity. We got the bread pudding for dessert, and it was by far the best I've had. The staff was courteous and very attentive. The chef even came out to say hello. They also gave us complimentary champagne and dessert because it was our wedding anniversary. We're from New Orleans, so we know good food...and this was beyond good! This is definitely a must if you are coming to San Juan!

Kept seeing a bunch of reviews on how amazing this place was and honestly it's up there…read more To start off, I'm not really a sweets guy so my take is going to be a little off from the general public. We were able to snag a reservation but for a late time which was about an hour and a half before close. The service was super great but one thing I wished they mentioned that the bottled water was going to be a $40 charge lol. Makes sense for any upscale restaurant though. Should've mentioned we wanted tap so fair warning, ask cause you WILL get charged haha. We had a group of 10 and for how big the group was, the food came out pretty fast. I don't think we ever had a time between drinks to entrees where we were waiting for food to come out. We got the watermelons mojito for drinks since it was the most raved about. It was good but personally nothing crazy for me. 8/10 score on that. We also curry popcorn chicken, the ahi tuna lollipops, the empanadillas and the goat cheese quesadillas for apps and honestly overall 9/10. This is where I don't like the sweetness part of this meal. The empanadillas were what I was most excited for but it was more sweet then savory which sort of lose my appetite a little. I think if you like that kind of taste then it's going to be good. It wasn't a bad taste at all. Just too sweet for my liking. The curry popcorn chicken was good and the lollipops were great. Again, nothing crazy. The goat cheese quesadillas was good as well but again, too sweet for my liking. Now on to the entree, they didn't have the porkchop since we came late so I ended up getting the porkchop belly dish. When it came out, it looked amazing but then I got a whiff of it and smelled cinnamon. That's when I was sort of disappointed. It was like eating pork but tasting Cinnamon Toast Crunch and as said before, it tasted great but too sweet for me. This one was way too sweet to where it seemed like a dessert item. I just had poor luck and got one of the one items that were sweet. This doesn't tank the rating down whatsoever because I also should've read it had cinnamon. It would've been great if they made a dipping sauce or something to pair it with and not have it on the pork belly itself. I got to try other dishes my friends got which were good as well but I wish I got to try something else. If I came back I would try the sold out item which was the pork shank or the sea bass. I know for a fact the sea bass was amazing. Had a bite of it and thought "I'll come back for that" Overall, 10/10 experience and nothing bad about the place but gotta try different items when I go next time. I understand the hype now

Out of all the restaurants I visited in Puerto Rico, my friends and I came to the agreement that this was definitely the best one, and I can't believe we almost didn't come! To start off, the staff is super nice and made us feel welcome. I may be biased because one of them complimented my "gracias" (lol) but they were accommodating and patient as we had a hard time deciding what we wanted to order, since everything looked so good! The pinchos de atun was a must-try since everyone online was talking about that dish in particular, and it was AMAZING. The tuna is so fresh and complimented so well by the sauce and the rice cracker. The ceasar salad was flavorful and a great addition, since we didn't have much veggies at that point in our trip. And the sea bass!! SO tender and delicious. We also got the perfect lady cocktail and the guava & cheese bread pudding, and both were perfectly sweet and balanced out the rest of the meal. Everything about this place was amazing. The inside of the restaurant is very pretty and it's located near La Placita, so easily accessible to the nightlife if you want to party afterward. I will definitely be recommending Santaella to all my friends and coming back if I visit San Juan again.

AMBIANCE You're in the city so it's an eventful area. There's street parking and nearby lots but your best to carpool or rideshare. As for the vibes, I'm told in the daytime it's a local marketplace that's filled with vendors and other fresh produce booths. It's pretty chill with a nice neighborhood feel. As for the evening, this is where to turn up and get a pulse of Puerto Rico parties. EXPERIENCE Go to your bar, pick your vibe from community, club excessive, lounge feel, live music or etc. Drink choices rangeThey have it here! Plenty of photo op spots and good energy. I was here peak of the #DTMF era so it was magical to see people come together with a speaker and a cowbell. A local put into perspective how this was way better than paying for an expensive hotel party. It was truly a 1 of 1 experience. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. It doesn't get any better. There's a reason why this space is dropped in lyrics and people's recommendations because this is the heart of the people. So don't be shy! Grab a drink, walk around, catch a dance, and be safe! TIPS: * Don't just settle for one spot. Be sure to explore around to experience the entire Santurce experience!

Review #1,047 Posted on 4.26.26…read more We came to La Placita on Thursday the 23rd, when in town to celebrate my buddies 50th birthday. I guess this was purposefully done as I've heard it's nuts here on Fridays & Saturdays. When you get dropped off at the main road when you walk down it takes you to all the action in a few hundred feet. This place was still packed, but it was popping, the place to be at night I'd guess. They've got all JJ da of restaurants, bars, & clubs here. Tons of music, & a good time.
